Episode 378 – Can’t Hunter Just Wait a Bit?

Joe Biden pumps up his 76th Executive Order. It’s a doozy.

And Hunter adds another splinter to daddy’s butt.

 

That Makes 76

Joe Biden decided to sign a very expansive executive order on Friday. It hits everything from your iPhone all the way to tractor repair. It also is going going to really mess with the smart phone apps all of us love so much.

A lot of people say that this is the executive order for big business. All I know is that it is an executive order that is going to cost consumers money because of the regulations it puts on business. Here’s what Old Joe says:

Yeah, Joe giving a speech on economics and capitalism is like me giving a speech on brain surgery. He’s been a politician for 50 years. He’s never created or run a business. He’s never hired a single employee. He’s qualified to tell me about the economy? I have run a business and worked in the business world?

Let’s take a look at it.

Here’s what it’s going to do:

  • For healthcare:
  • The prescription drug thing trips me out. Donald Trump already did what Biden wanted and Biden reversed his order.
  • I think the government, for the most part, stay out of how hospitals do business.
  • The transparency in hospital billing has always been a thing. Blame the government for that, not the doctor. They put so many restriction on doctors that the doctors do the cheapest thing and then get into trouble when they need to charge more.

 

  • Concerning Internet Services:
    • Encourages the Federal Communications Commission to prevent internet service providers from making deals with landlords that limit tenants’ choices for broadband services.
    • Calls on the communications regulator to require service providers to report prices and rates and limit early termination fees.
    • Encourages the FCC to restore “net neutrality” rules undone by the Trump administration.
  • This tries to bring back Net Neutrality where everyone gets the same bandwidth no matter their usage. Here’s a secret, bandwidth is finite. If person A doesn’t use the Internet much and person B uses it all day, The company will limit person’s A bandwidth to meet person B’s needs. This is conversation.
  • It bans pre-installed Internet so that building can’t be wired.
  • The best way to limit pricing is not restrictions but more competition. That is happening now.

 

  • Big Tech:
    • Pledges greater scrutiny of mergers by dominant internet platforms and the acquisition of smaller competitors.
    • Urges the FTC to establish rules on large platforms’ use of surveillance and gathering of user data.
    • Urges the FTC to create rules “barring unfair methods of competition” that could harm smaller businesses.
    • Encourages the FTC to curb cellphone manufacturers’ restrictions against repairs by independent shops or consumers.
  • Just asking for more regulations on Big Tech without actually doing anything.
  • Limits Big Tech from acquiring smaller companies. This will make it that apps created will need to charge for their product instead of selling them to the Big Tech companies. By the way, that’s what app makers actually want.
  • This also eliminates proprietary hardware and software that will allow users to fix their own equipment. I don’t agree with this because it is a business strategy of a lot of companies.

 

  • Labor:
    • Encourages the FTC to ban or limit the use of noncompete clauses and occupational licensing restrictions to limit workers’ mobility.
    • Encourages the FTC and the Justice Department to limit employers’ ability to share, with other businesses, wage and benefits data to suppress outlays to employees.
  • Essentially, this law wants to restrict states and federalize occupational licensing. If one has a contractor’s license from California, one will have to get another license if he moves to the state of Texas. I’m not sure if this is Constitutional.
  • I have always said that the market should determine minimum wage. This takes this option away from the market.

 

  • Transportation and Shipping:
    • Urges the Transportation Department to issue rules requiring refunds of fees when airline baggage is delayed or when services like in-flight Wi-Fi or entertainment systems don’t work or aren’t provided.
    • Urges the Surface Transportation Board to require freight railroad track owners to provide rights of way to passenger rail.
    • Urges the Federal Maritime Commission to help rein in “detention and demurrage” fees that foreign shipping companies use against American exporters for time their freight waits to be loaded or unloaded.
  • Though I hardly feel bad for any airlines, they are terrible and horribly overpriced, I hardly a government entity can run them any better.
  • Let the experts in the travel industry deal with all the pitfalls that occur in the travel agency.

 

  • Agriculture:
  • The first could actually help farmers, making sure that food stuffs actually have what they say they have. But I see a couple of problems with this:
    • When has a rule of regulation ever lowered prices on products?
    • If prices go up, won’t people stop buying as much meat and farmers could lose money and income?
  • Again, I like the idea that farmers can fix their own equipment but isn’t that something the producer of the tractor should determine? And can’t the farmer buy another tractor if they want to fix their own tractor?

 

  • Banking and Finance:
    • Urges the Justice Department and other agencies to update guidelines on banking mergers and bolster scrutiny of those mergers.
    • Encourages the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to implement rules to allow banking customers to transfer their financial data from one bank to another.
  • I understand why mergers of financial institutions are analyzed, but those mergers are already analyzed by the government by law. There are a lot of mergers that end because the government says, “no.” What exactly is the government going to add to their existing analysis?
  • And, as far as the transfer of banking data between banks, be prepared for more fees on your account. This is all rules like this create.

What is the most disturbing about this executive order is the expansion of bureaucracies. I hate bureaucracies. They are allowed to make rules and laws without any oversite by the people we actually vote for. Also, most of these bureaucracies are made up by people who know nothing about business, capitalism or even the function they are in charge of overseeing.

Where Did This Come From?

Where do these crazy ideas come from. Here’s going to be a shocker: They come from elites with no experience and an understanding of a lot of theories who will no be affected in the least by the policies that they put in place.

Let’s look at the architect of this executive order:

  • The guy who came up with this mess is named Tim Wu.
  • He is a law professor and a progressive antitrust advocate.
  • He wrote several regulations under the Obama administration. All those were overturned by the Trump administration.
  • He is a professor at Columbia Law School.
  • He is a contributor for the New York Times.
  • He is the founder of “net neutrality”.

Folks, he’s not even a lawyer. He’s a frigging teacher at an Ivy League school who reads a lot and understands legal philosophy. He has no practical experience in any of the fields that he is making policy for.

He’s not the first one. Jonathan Gruber wrote the Affordable Care Act. He had no experience in healthcare.

Do you know who would have been a great advisor for any business policy? Donald Trump. Maybe that’s why his crap worked.

We Really Can Trust This Guy?

Hunter Biden has got to be the biggest pain in the ass for the Biden administration.

  • He almost derailed Joe’s candidacy by taking in millions of dollars from China and the Ukraine (Burisma anyone).
  • He almost derailed Joe’s candidacy  with his crack smoking and hooker-loving (possibly with underage kids) found on his laptop. Thanks to the media, that disappeared.
  • His E-mails and text messages showed that Joe was probably involved in money gathering from Ukraine. The media ignored that.
  • Hunter illegally purchased and disposed of a handgun. Tough for a pro-gun control Joe.
  • Forget the fact that Hunter boned his dead brother’s wife and got a stripper pregnant.

Now, Hunter is doing something else that is leaving a bunch of questions.

  • Hunter started doing “art” about three months ago. Surprisingly, by blowing paint through a straw.
  • To say his “art” is “art” is a stretch. Most critics say it is garbage.
  • He is now having an auction in September. His art could sell for as much as $500K.
  • The art community is known for criminals laundering money. That is not out of the question here and this is becoming a headache for Old Joe.
  • Joe Biden’s ethics chief has already said this is a bad idea.
  • The White House made a deal with the brokerage house:
    • Any suspicious bids will be rejected. I would think any of them would be suspicious.
    • The bidders will be kept anonymous. They will not be known by anyone.

Yeah, no.

Jen Psaki thinks that this is not only a great plan, but it is transparent:

I have no doubt this is a money making scheme that can be done because Hunter’s last name is Biden. I also thinking this is probably money laundering scheme.

  • Hunter has been doing art for three months. His art is crap. Why would anyone want it?
  • The brokerage house gets 50% of the sales. You think a customer who wants to meet Hunter won’t be allowed to because it’s against the rules?
  • Why can’t Hunter wait for three and a half years, when Joe is out of office?

You know why and so do I. If Old Joe was really worried, he would bend Hunter over his knee and give him a spanking. Though I’m not sure that would deter Hunter.

Episode 377 – Sic Them, Sir!

Trump pulls the trigger against social media. Would have been better if he did it while he was President.

An endless war is finally over…for now.

And Joe Biden doesn’t know where he is but he likes pie.

 

 

The Trigger Has Been Pulled

Former President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he is filing a lawsuit that seeks unspecified punitive damages against three tech companies over a variety of issues related to censorship.

  • The lawsuit is a class action lawsuit. Expect many other litigants to join.
  • Folks like Steven Crowder (who already has a lawsuit against Facebook pending), Dinesh Dizouza and other Conservative YouTube and social media celebrities.
  • I would also expect the executives of Parler to join the lawsuit since their platform was attacked specifically by Google.

Of course the media is calling this idiotic. They continue to justify the bans because of January 6th. They are also bringing up the fact that all these companies are private companies and can do whatever they want. Companies like these are protected by Section 230 and can’t be sued. It’s funny that the Leftist media never seemed to care too much for private companies…like…ever.

They have a point here. Private companies do have freedoms that the government does have. Section 230 is a law that was passed through Congress. This is one of the areas that I blame Trump for. This was nothing new with the social media companies. They were always biased but the President, who had both Houses of Congress at one point, did nothing to change the law. The Republicans just bitched about it.

The thing is, and this should easily be proven, that social media is far too powerful. Most of the news people get from is from social media.

This will be a win some/ lose some case, depending who the judge is. But I see no way this is not going all the way to the Supreme Court.

Out of Afghanistan

The United States has completely pulled out of Afghanistan. According to Biden, our mission was not accomplished and it also ends a 20 year war. I’m really kind of mixed about this.

  • Our military mission was accomplished. Biden’s wrong here:
    • Bin Laden is dead.
    • The Taliban was crushed.
    • We established bases that could be (especially air bases) that could influence the Middle East.
  • Our politicians were the ones who failed.
    • We never established a democracy in Afghanistan.
    • This should not be a shock because that country has been a mess for a thousand years. It was never going to be a democracy there.
  • Military experts say:
    • If we were going to pull out, we should have done it a long time ago, after the military operations were successful.
    • Some are saying that we should have stayed because we established important bases there and that the troop fights were not the actual goal of the military. Fighting has been kept to a minimum.
  • Some say that the Taliban will be emboldened at the thought that they won the war after 20 years.
    • Many see that the country will be plunged into a civil war.
    • The country would not have a central government. It would be made up of feudal states led by warlords.
  • By the way, Joe Biden pitched a fit because someone asked him if he trusted the Taliban. If Trump did this, he would have been crucified.

You know what? Who cares. Afghanistan holds no benefit for the United States except that it controlled bases there. We do need to monitor terrorist encampments there but we have the technology for that. Any military operation can be done by missile and drone.

We will have to see how it turns out. The Taliban is already taking over cities. We’ll know pretty soon.

That’s a Good Idea

President Joe Biden pushed for eliminating tax breaks for fossil fuel companies during a speech on Wednesday in Crystal Lake, Illinois, saying that extra tax revenue from those companies would help pay for his agenda.

Biden said:

“I want to provide tax cuts for businesses and consumers who invest in clean energy technologies like renewables, battery storage, next generation aviation fuels, electric vehicles. I want to set the clean electric standard that moves us to a fully clean and reliable grid.”

“If we end tax breaks for fossil fuels and make polluters pay to clean up the messes they’ve made, that would raise $90 billion. I’m not asking them to do anything that is unfair, just not going to subsidize them anymore. They’re doing well, thank you. And the messes they made, they should clean up.”

Experts say that, across the country, gas is up 40%. They said that it is probable that gas will go up another $.20, at least, by the end of August.

Well, it’s going to go up more than that if gas companies have to spend more taxes.

This guy is an f-ing disaster.

Senior Moment

Joe Biden went out to buy pie. He was asked about the recent cyber attacks. He became confused. Had trouble answering the question about whether Russia was responsible or not. Then, he took out a note card with the answer.

His answer makes this whole thing look as bad as it is. Listen:

  • He needs to pull out a note card to say, “we don’t know”?
  • What “they” sent me? Who’s they?
  • He seriously can’t get through a sentence.

How long do the Democrats think Biden is going to be able to go on? He’s getting worse. He looks weaker. I almost feel sorry for the guy.

The answer is as long as they can. If you think Biden is bad, Kamala Harris is worse.

Why is Biden able to just stumble around with no media criticism. Well, here’s a Jen Psaki press conference a couple of days ago:

Here We Go Again

She discussed the northern border of the United States, using anecdotal evidence to say that there has been racial profiling near the border between the U.S. and Canada. She said that there has been a militarization of areas near the border as well.

According to Fox News:

“Tlaib was asked about the push by the Biden administration to increase money spent on border technology for Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) border request includes $665 million in investments toward modernizing land ports of entry and $47 million to invest in detection capabilities in addition to investments in border surveillance technology.”

When asked about it Tlaib said:

“Look, the simple answer to that question is we must eliminate funding for [Customs and Border Protection], [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and their parent organization, [Department of Homeland Security],”

“Time after time we have seen it as advocates on the ground, as human services agencies on the ground to continue to see over and over “This approach is something that many of, especially the new members of Congress, are coming with full force and pushing back against this idea,” Tlaib said. “They rename this kind of militarization or targeting in a very inhumane way of our immigrant neighbors, but when it comes down to it it is the same thing – which is targeting communities of color in a way that is, to me, very much violates human rights and dignity for so many of our communities.”again, that these agencies are inept to humanely guiding migrants through our immigration system and… instead they further continue to terrorize migrant communities located within our communities,”

They should be “terrorized” or, as I call it, afraid. They are in this country illegally.

She said that it is a “myth” that “more advanced technology will inherently make our border more safe and secure.” She added that instead, the new technology has “turned and terrorized” some communities and made them less safe and “fearful of our own government.”

Funny. She said we didn’t need a wall during the Trump administration because technology could alone secure the border.

“This is a distraction to what is really needed, which is full comprehensive immigration reform policies in our country. We are far from even getting to that conversation because people are distracted with these for-profit, corporate greed approaches that are coming to experiment on our immigrants and at our border,” she added. “And I say ‘enough.’ Enough in trying to collect DNA or put facial recognition technology that doesn’t recognize brown and black faces, it’s racism itself.”

“Stop telling the communities that you’re supposed to keep safe that this is the way to be safe in our communities,” she added. “…If anything, they’re turning around and using the same criminalization and militarization on our own neighbors. And I tell this to my residents who say, ‘I’m a U.S. citizen, I was born here.’ I say, ‘Just wait. Wait, sis, because they will turn and ask you for your documentation…’”

“Whatever they call it, all I know is it is a money-making scheme and they’re using our immigrant neighbors and our border as an experiment project,” she said.

I say to the Leftists: Keep doing this. Keep screaming about injustice and race and eliminating law enforcement. Go on every show and scream about it. This will really help them in 2022.

Episode 376 – Hide Your Kids!

Hide your kids! The Left is coming for them!

Yeah, Listen to this Broad

I’ve said this a thousand times before and I’m going to say it again. When I was younger, I was against the LGBT community and gay marriage. Now, I wasn’t really against gay marriage. Truth is I didn’t really care. What I did care about fell under the “give a mouse a cookie” syndrome that a lot of activist groups get when they get what they want. First, it’s gay marriage. Then it opened up into trans acceptance which led to trans people being considered the sex they choose and now men can go into the restrooms of women and compete against women in sports.

We should have seen that this would affect our children. Unfortunately, it is becoming mainstream to indoctrinate our children into the sexual perversion and our parents, who, because of wokeness, are good with it.

There is an article in the Washington Post by a woman named Lauren Rowella. Just to give you an idea how f-ed up this gal is, she is a former prostitute that identifies a gendervague, whatever that means. She is also married to a man who identifies as a woman and is a lesbian.

Got that? Need a program to figure out how f-ed up these people are? The real question should be is why she is writing an article for the Washington Post?

Anyway, she wrote an article called Yes, Kink Belongs at Pride. And I Want My Kids to See It. This article is about how all the perversion found in Pride Parades is not only acceptable but out kids should see it.

Let’s go through a couple of paragraphs:

“Just as we got settled, our elementary-schooler pointed in the direction of oncoming floats, raising an eyebrow at a bare-chested man in dark sunglasses whose black suspenders clipped into a leather thong. …[P]olicing how others show up doesn’t protect or uplift young people. Instead, homogenizing self-expression at Pride will do more harm to our children than good. When my own children caught glimpses of kink culture, they got to see that the queer community encompasses so many more nontraditional ways of being, living, and loving.”

Couple of things:

  • Why does an elementary schooler need to see this?
  • Why is this no illegal? If I walked around with a thong on, I’d think I’d be arrested and put on some sort of sex offender list.
  • How is this not child abuse?

Anti-kink advocates tend to manipulate language about safety and privacy by asserting that attendees are nonconsensually exposed to overt displays of sexuality. The most outrageous claim is that innocent bystanders are forced to participate in kink simply by sharing space with the kink community, as if the presence of kink at Pride is a perverse exhibition that kinksters pursue for their own gratification. But kinksters at Pride are not engaged in sex acts — and we cannot confuse their self-expression with obscenity. Co-opting the language of sexual autonomy only serves to bury that truth and muddies the seriousness of other conversations about consent.

Couple of things:

  • Anti-kink (Conservatives) tend to manipulate language? Is she kidding?
  • If naked guys are walking on the public streets, they are forcing themselves on people non-consensually.
  • Kink is a perverse form of exhibition for self gratification. Exhibition is illegal.
  • Now she does what she accused Conservatives are doing: manipulating language. She’s calling obscenity, self expression. Self expression can also be obscenity.
  • If I expose my penis to a 10-year-old girl, according to Rowella, this is just self expression.

Rowella continues:

“Kink embodies the freedom that Pride stands for, reminding attendees to unapologetically take up space as an act of resistance and celebration — refusing to bend to social pressure that asks us to be presentable. That’s a value I want my children to learn.”

In the movie The Devil’s Advocate, Al Pacino plays Satan and tries to manipulate Keanu Reeves who is his son. He does this by using Reeves own Pride against him because Satan cannot get passed free will. After Reeves life is ruined and reeves is about to do what the devil wants, the devil says, “Vanity is my favorite sin.” He said that because the behavior of the overly proud is so easy because they are always doing things for themselves.

This woman, and all those that push perversion as “normal” are evil. They embrace sins such as pride and lust because they like it. Heck, they even call it the “Pride Parade.” We see that throughout the Left’s world. The seven deadly sins preached by the Bible are now virtues for the Left.

  • Fat shaming encourages gluttony.
  • Equity masks greed and envy.
  • Dependence on government handouts masks sloth.
  • Cancel culture masks wrath.

The result of all this is a loss of freedom and totalitarianism. This is what happens when God and morals are taken out of the culture. It’s been happening for years and we’ve ignored it. The Left has been chipping away at religion since the 60’s. They can’t have religion because a higher power means that government cannot truly rule. The government has to be the higher power.

In short, this woman’s ideas have become mainstream and are dangerous for our way of life.

What Is The End Goal?

Entertainment has had Leftist leanings since the 1940’s but now they’ve become indoctrination machines. Nothing shows this more than televisions shows and cartoon meant for kids pushing the LGBTQ agenda.

In an article from insider.com, entertainment companies such as Disney+, Nicolodian and Public Television are hiring writers based on their LGBTQ advocacy, not their writing styles. Companies are also hiring people by non-traditional means such as through Twitter and Facebook. The reason is these guys are not to be creating stories but expressing their stories about their lives as a non-cis person.

The result of this is that are a lot more gay, lesbian and trans characters than ever before. Right now, non-cis characters make up 23% of the characters on children’s programming but it could be as high as 30% because there are some characters whose gender can’t be determined. I’m not kidding, people are actually analyzing this crap.

The Insider said that not only is the trend going up but their goal is to get 50% of the children shows (for ages 3-12) to have some sort of non-cis education to them.

What’s the moral of this story? Don’t just plop your kid in front of the television and go off with your day. Those shows, no matter how seemingly innocent, are trying to teach our kids something we may not want them to know yet.

Isn’t This an Opinion

The largest teacher union in the country wants to change the history and geography of the Middle East. Their hate for Israel they have they now want to teach your kids.

National Education Association’s (NEA) annual representative meeting was “referred to the appropriate committee” and was crafted by NEA leadership that insists the union “must recognize the existence and sovereignty of Palestine and Palestinian children and families and their human right to access a quality education and live freely.”

They didn’t go all the way to boycott Israel but this is quite a bit.

The goal is to: “educate members and the general public about the history, culture, and struggles of Palestinians, including the detention and abuse of children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.” 

Needless to say, not everyone agrees with this. Uri Pilocowski, a writer at The Times of Israel, opined that a Palestinian Authority administered state “would pose a danger to Israel’s security.”  She said:

“A government that promotes and turns a blind eye to terror can not be entrusted to run a state. A Palestinian government would have to include Hamas, a terrorist entity that vows to destroy Israel. This would make a Palestinian state a terror organization.” 

He’s right.

Israel isn’t “occupying” anything. They were on that land thousands of years before the Palestinians ever existed. In fact, there has never been a Palestinian country. Ever.

Also, the Palestinian government is made up of Hama, the Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian Authority. All three are terrorist organizations. They don’t want a territory and they have had several chances to get it. They want the elimination of Israel all together. Basically, they want to commit genocide. But our teachers don’t want to point any of this out.

So why? Because Israel, like the United States, runs their government based on the Judeo/Christian philosophy of morality. The Left can’t have that. And they will ignore all history and philosophy to be rid of something as “terrible” as religious morality and the establishment of a higher power. The teacher’s unions will lose their power and money and that’s what it’s all about.

The NEA has committed to teach Critical Race Theory in over 14,000 districts in all 50 states in the United States, no matter what laws the states pass.

  • The union passed two items that will implement critical race theory into the classroom with the assistance of the union’s Ethnic Minority Affairs Caucuses.
  • They will “share and publicize” “information already available on critical race theory (CRT) — what it is and what it is not.” There will also be a team of staffers dedicated to providing members with information about how to “fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric; and share information with other NEA members as well as their community members.”
  • In what the NEA claims to be the inclusion of “accurate and honest teaching,” it vowed to “oppose attempts to ban critical race theory” and the New York Times’ “1619 Project,” which has been scrutinized by historians as ahistorical.
  • The NEA also vowed to team up with organizations such as Black Lives Matter at School and the Zinn Education Project — named after the anti-American and factually challenged historian Howard Zinn — to call for an October 14 rally in honor of George Floyd’s birthday “as a national day of action to teach lessons about structural racism and oppression.”
  • According to the business items, implementing the newfound critical race theory strategy will cost the union an additional $127,600.

Banning History? Really?

Randi Weingarten (a truly terrible person who hates your kids), president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), on Sunday shared an article from The Washington Post that also falsely stated what opponents of CRT want.

She wrote:

“Incredibly important piece from [Kimberlé Crenshaw] about why these bans on teaching history and discussing racism in the classroom are so dangerous. Our students deserve to have the freedom to learn and discuss this in school.”

This is the biggest load of horseshit ever written. Anyone who knows anything of American history and the founding documents knows that Critical Race Theory and the 1619 project is crap. None of these promote history, they change it. This “theory” has the goal of implementing Marxism and tearing down the United States system. What’s worse, it doesn’t manipulate history, it changes history.

Here We Go

National Education Association (NEA) adopted a measure last week that attempts to stop the campaign against CRT spreading across the country, as parents learn what is actually being taught to their children is a new form of racism.

They said in a statement:

“NEA will research the organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work and/or use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked. The research, resources, and recommendations will be shared with members through NEA’s social media, an article in NEA Today, and a recorded virtual presentation/webinar.”

This is what the Left does and why they are so heavy into Cancel Culture. Here’s the big problem: The Left can’t defend Critical Race Theory. It is based on lies. Lies about history, lies about individuals and lies about our philosophy.

The 1619 Project was based on changing history so that the theory works. Even the New York Times, 7 months after it was released, had to admit the history was wrong. The creator of the project, Nikole Hannah Jones, said that facts were not as important as the message. It’s a lie.

It’s impossible to hide your children from the world. I would suggest it as a bad idea because they are going to have to face the real world eventually. But one should monitor what they watch, monitor what the see and monitor what they are taught. One should then teach them the values that have made this country the most successful country in human history.

Episode 375 – Happy Independence Day!

Independence Day brings out the best in us. It is showing that it also bring out the worst in us.

Let’s talk about it.

 

A Whole $.16 Cents?

The Biden administration made probably the dumbest statement that has been uttered by this administration so far. They claimed in a tweet that this years prices for BBQs would be substantially lower than it was last year. In the tweet they said:

OK. That sounds…good. I guess. But I don’t believe it.

Turns out the Biden administration calculated that $.16 cents could be saved in the average BBQ. But there has been some deep dives by the media when the White House released that crazy-ass statement. The statement was based on things like baked beans, ketchup and hot dogs. Here’s theproblem that the Biden administration is ignoring:

  • Fresh fruit is substantially increased.
  • Hamburger and hot dog buns have gone up substantially.
  • Fresh vegetables have gone up moderately but they have gone up.
  • Hamburger, steak and chicken have gone up substancially. Steak at Costco is up 66%.
  • Cole slaw and potato salad have gone up.
  • Hot dogs were the only thing that went down and that’s because there was a shrtage of them last years due to the China virus.

We also can’t forget that:

  • Gas has gone up a dollar a gallon across the country.
  • Lumber is up 300%
  • Cars have increased due to the prices of steel.
  • Houses have gone up causing a shortage of available housing.
  • All meat has gone up due to the ransomware attack earlier this year.
  • Charcoal has gone up.
  • The Fed is projecting inflation through 2024 and is planning to raise interest rates.

Yeah…no. Your July 4th celebration has not gone down in price. Well, it will if you don’t drive anywhere and have hot dogs with no buns or onions, no sides, no sodas, no beer and cook them in a microwave.

As you might imagine, Twitter exploded at the stupid claim:

This crazy claim was brought up to Jen Psaki by, you guessed it, Steve Duecy of Fox News. Her weak-ass answer was also mocked by the Twitter-verse as it deserved.

That is a week frigging answer. How about this: I like hot dogs and I’m concerned about $5 a gallon. I also don’t eat hot dogs every day. But I do drive every day. Saving $.16 on hot dogs ain’t going to change my life much.

This is a propaganda mission. Saving a couple of cents on one commodity (for now) and spending 66% more on everything else is not much of a propaganda attempt. Eventually, the Biden administration is going to have to address the inflation, dare I say it, crisis. This is going to be the real crisis. It’ll cost the Democrats 2022 and 2024.

The New York Times Hating on the Flag

The New York Times decided to show their love for the United States on Independence Day by pissing on the American flag.

An article titled The Fourth of July Symbol of Unity that May No Longer Unite by Sarah Maslin Nir basically said the United States flag is…wait for it…racist.

“Today, flying the flag from the back of a pickup truck or over a lawn is increasingly seen as a clue, albeit an imperfect one, to a person’s political affiliation in a deeply divided nation. What was once a unifying symbol — there is a star on it for each state, after all — is now alienating to some, its stripes now fault lines between people who kneel while ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ plays and those for whom not pledging allegiance is an affront.

“Politicians of both parties have long sought to wrap themselves in the flag. We talked about this before. The flag is a symbol of unity. If one doesn’t see it as that, they choose not to see it as that. They probably see the Antifa flag, the BLM flag and the Diversity flag (the LGBTQ flag) as unifying when their development was actually to divide. So it’s kind of hard to by the New York Times serious because they support those flags.

NPR Hates America

National Public Radio (NPR) denounced the Declaration of Independence on the Fourth of July because of terms it deemed offensive.

They tweeted:

“245 years ago today, leaders representing 13 British colonies signed a document to declare independence. It says ‘that all men are created equal’ — but women, enslaved people, Indigenous people and many others were not held as equal at the time.”

“The document also includes a racist slur against Indigenous Americans. Author David Treuer, who is Ojibwe, says there is a lot of diversity of opinion and thought among Native Americans — a community of more than 5 million people — about the document’s words.”

NPR continued, adding a quote from Treuer: “We remain committed to forcing this country to live up to its own stated ideals.”

Couple of things here:

  • National Public Radio is a public company. They get tax payer money. If they hate the country so much, why don’t they stop taking money from the government.
  • The slur they are talking about is the term “savages” that is in the Declaration. There are a couple of things that needs to be pointed out:
    • The Indians were at war with each other and the Americans in 1776.
    • The Indians were known to scalp and skin those who were defeated.
    • The Indians were cannibals back then.
    • The Iroquois were known to do this stuff.
    • The term “cannibal” comes from the Spanish term “Caribs” which is the term the Spanish used for the Indians in the Caribbean because they were eating each other!
  • The final line of the tweet probably should have been put in as the first line of the tweet. The Founding Fathers knew we were not living the values of the Declaration.
    • It’s in the Federalist Papers.
    • The abolitionist movement blossomed less than ten years after the Declaration was signed.
    • Former slave Fredrick Douglas thought the Declaration and Constitution were great but we needed to live our values.
    •  Martin Luther King thought the same thing when he tried to end Jim Crow Laws.
    • And we’ve also done a couple of things since the Declaration was signed to bring us closer to those values:
      • The North outlawed slavery in the northern states and new states
      • We had the Civil War that killed 700,000 people, mostly white.

This is why history has to be destroyed by the Left. Because our history has shown the attempt by this country to do the right thing and live by our values.

Episode 374 – Clueless

Bill Cosby is free because the system worked, not because he is innocent.

Leftist policies aren’t helping crime and Dems are trying to find a new narrative.

And California is a crap show and they are starting the second act.

 

Justice Can Suck

In a surprise ruling, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court threw out the conviction of sexual assault against a woman known as Andrea Constand. Cosby was convicted of drugging and having sex with the woman when she was unable to consent. Cosby, apparently, had done this multiple times throughout his life but the statute of limitations prevented him from being convicted by more women.

This is what happened:

  • During the investigation, the initial District Attorney said that they could not try Cosby for the crime for lack of physical evidence. It would turn out to be a he said/she said case.
  • Cosby was told he would not be tried. This eliminates the 5th Amendment protections.
  • Cosby was being sued by the woman and testified in the civil trial. He admitted doing what he was initially accused of.
  • A new prosecutor took over and used Cosby’s testimony in the civil trial against Cosby in a new criminal trial.
  • This violated his 5th Amendment rights. Kind of an easy call.
  • The other issue that should have been handled by the judge during the criminal trial was the testimony of the other women who accused Cosby. This should have been stopped because it is not evidence and is prejudicial.
  • Cosby was convicted and sentenced to 3-10 years. He has already been through a parole hearing after two years and was denied.
  • The case finally go to the state supreme court which overturned the case due to prosecutorial misconduct.
  • Cosby cannot be tried again because of double jeopardy.

After he was released, Cosby and his representatives made a statement. It was a pretty silly statement:

Couple things about this:

  • Bill Cosby is not innocent. He got off on a technicality.
  • The prosecution bungled this thing from the start.
  • This shows that the #MeToo movement probably influenced the court system.
  • Though it is not fair because Cosby is guilty, the system worked. Due process was violated by an over anxious DA and Cosby was let go. Remember that this could happen to you and you may be innocent.

Gaslighting

The Left is in trouble. Crime is out of control and, suddenly, their talk of defunding the police is becoming very unpopular. They have decided that they need to take a different route on this defunding the police thing. Best way to do that is start lying.

There are a few lies they are going to push. the first is the most idiotic. It’s the Republicans that are for defunding the police. Listen to Jen Psaki making this crazy proclamation:

Even Peter Duecy seems absolutely shocked by this statement. He sat there and just stared at her. He didn’t ask her another question about it until the next day and she just doubled-down on it.

Something to be aware of: American Rescue Plan did have some money for law enforcement. But it also had about $2 trillion on other garbage. There was no way Republicans, in their right mind, would have approved this bill. It was a garbage pork bill. Just because the Republicans passed on one good thing to get rid of a thousand bad things doesn’t mean that they are against the police.

But that’s not what the media is pushing. They bought Jen’s crap hook, line and sinker.

Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post released an op-ed saying:

Yeah, this crap isn’t going to fly. There are terabytes of images from Twitter that show nothing but Leftists screaming about getting rid of the police. What’s worse for them is that their policies are actually defunding the police.

This Broad Again

Lori Lightfoot, the horrid mayor of Chicago, has a better way of explaining crime.

What crime? There’s no crime here.

First, listen to this reporter’s question. It really attacks Lightfoot:

  • He points out that the crime in Chicago is insane.
  • His cutting Lightfoot off is pissing her off.
  • He lists several he profile crimes in the recent data.
  • He shows how the culture has changed so much that they now call the “Shopping District” the “Homeless Encampment”.
  • She cuts him off because he’s absolutely right about everything.
  • Then he really lays into her with his question.

Her answer leads to a bigger “wow”.

  • No, we have the facts.
  • People are leaving the city in droves because of the alignment.
  • 40% of residents have said they are going to leave Chicago and a substantial number have already left.
  • She said the 32 businesses have open doors within Chicago. Question: How many have left? I bet there are more than 32.
  • As far as crime going down, that is just a lie. Crime in Chicago is going up. Each weekend is averaging over 50 shootings! That’s per weekend not week. She’s just lying.

I also want to point something out and this is not a criticism. Lightfoot seems to be shaking a lot. Could she have a disorder of some kind like Parkinson’s Disease? I do not mean to make fun of her and I don’t wish that horrid disease on anyone but I have seen several interviews with her and her shaking is something I have noticed every time.

California Really Has It On Point

Why Not? It’s Not Their Money

San Francisco, unable to control their homeless problem has come up with an idea: create a city sponsored homeless encampment. The city of Los Angeles, that has over 60,000 homeless people, is watching with great interest.

  • San Francisco has six city sanctioned homeless encampments throughout the city.
  • The services offered include food, bathrooms, showers and community services such as placement programs.
  • Other services that are not mentioned in the article include needle exchanges.
  • The tents are kept separate for COVID reasons. This means there aren’t a lot of tents in one area (typically 20).
  • There are no rules. The people could come and go as they wished. No consequences.

Of course, Jeff Kositsky who runs the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, blames the United States for the homeless problem. He said:

The dynamic on the streets “has to do with the failures of our brand of capitalism, institutional racism, a broken behavioral health system, and none of us who do this work, we’re not going to fix that. What we’re trying to do is manage a really deep systemic issue where homelessness is a very visual depiction of our failures as a society.”

Of course, it has nothing to do with the crappy policies of California and San Francisco that made leasing an apartment in California almost impossible.

At first, it was thought it would cost $2600 per person per month to keep these encampments. Now, with all the services and food, it has been found that it costs between $61,000-70,000 per tent, mostly because more people are living in them.

Good job, California! Why to spend money that isn’t yours!

This is how we fix this problem:

  • First, it is not a right to live on the street making others lives miserable.
  • There are three types of people on the street for the most part:
    • Drug addicts.
    • Mentally ill.
    • Those that like it.
  • Those that live on the streets because they like it need to find another place.
  • The other two do not need jails. Bring back the sanitarium system.

That’ll Help Too

A bill introduced by California state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) that decriminalizes possession of psychedelic drugs in the state made progress Tuesday after he removed a potential date-rape drug from the legislation.

According to the Associated Press, people 21 and older can use:

  • Mushrooms.
  • Mescaline.
  • LSD.
  • MDMA (Ecstacy)

Wiener had to remove ketamine from the bill because it is commonly used as a date rape drug.

Wiener said:

“People’s lives are literally transformed because of these substances.” Fox News has reported regarding recent research into the use of “psychedelic drugs to treat depression, drug addiction, PTSD, and a range of other mental health afflictions.”

I’m not a fan of drug legalization:

  • We have a lot of problems in our cities now because of drugs.
  • There are no consequences. Drug addicts become defacto wards of the state using my tax payer money to support their addictions.
  • Drug abuse is also lowering the standard of living for everyone, not just the drug addicted.
    • More accidents.
    • More homeless.

This is not going to fix California. It is going to get worse.

Episode 373 – The Cold Civil War

The cold civil war of 2021 has started as red states are getting black-balled by blue states. I say that’s a good thing.

The Democrats play the same old tune now that the Republicans have a competent 2024 candidate.

And the homeless problem is solved! With a price.

 

California May Need To Build a Wall

Ben Shapiro said in his podcast that the civil war in America has started. Unlike our first Civil War, this one is a cold civil war. States that do not agree with each other are beginning to refuse to deal with each other. But The bans are going only one way.

We saw this start during the pandemic:

  • Blue states such as New york banned travel to red states such as Florida because they refused to fully shut down.
  • North Carolina got banned because they refused to allow men who claimed to be women into women’s restrooms.
  • Florida is under assault from the NCAA because they refuse to allow men who say they are women compete in women’s sports.
  • Georgia was condemned and is not under a lawsuit by the DOJ for passing laws the secure their elections.

California is continuing the assault.

  • State Attorney General Rob Bonta, a Democrat, announced Monday that Arkansas, Montana, North Dakota and West Virginia had joined Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Texas on the no-go list, which was first created in 2016.
  • Bonta’s office cited laws enacted in Arkansas, Florida, Montana and West Virginia that bar transgender females from participating in girls’ school sports.
  • North Dakota made the list due to a law that permits certain publicly funded student organizations to prevent LGBT students from joining without losing funding.
  • The California AG’s office also cited two other Arkansas laws. One allows medical providers to deny care to LGBTQ people if they have a “conscientious objection” to doing so, while the other prohibits gender-confirming treatments or surgery for transgender youths.
  • California’s law has exemptions for some trips, such as travel needed to enforce state law and to honor contracts signed before the states were added to the list.

Bonta said:

“When states discriminate against LGBTQ+ Americans, California law requires our office to take action. These new additions to the state-funded travel restrictions list are about exactly that … Rather than focusing on solving real issues, some politicians think it’s in their best interest to demonize trans youth and block life-saving care.

“Make no mistake. We’re in the midst of an unprecedented wave of bigotry and discrimination in this country — and the State of California is not going to support it.”

With this ruling, it means that college football teams like UCLA could not travel to compete with any teams in Florida on the state’s dime. The school would have to raise money through charity.

Do you notice this whole thing only goes one way? New York, California and Michigan seem to be pushing these bans on a pretty consistant basis. Now the DOJ is being weaponized under the Biden administration to force red states to do the same thing. Not only is the DOJ suing Georgia over its voting law (a suit it won’t win) but they are going out of their way to investigate police departments. This is not surprising because the Left wants to federalize all policing. That should be scary for all of us. There has never been any good from federalizing police in past history (think of the Black Shirts of Italy, the Brown Shirts of Germany and the NKVD of the Soviet Union).

But, what’s worse, the DOJ is declaring white supremacy to be the most dangerous form of terrorism across the country.

Not the Taliban, Al Qaeda, Antifa or BLM? White supremacists?

Notice, he doesn’t point to a specific group or groups. That’s because he can’t name them. They don’t exist and, those that are around, are very weak.

You know who the white supremacists Garland is talking about? You and me. Don’t think men should share a bathroom with a woman? You’re a bigot and probably a white supremacist. You think women don’t earn $. 70 on the dollar Cause that was debunked in the a80’s? You’re a sexist and probably a white supremacist. You don’t believe me in the evils of the United States? You’re a white supremacist. You don’t believe in Critical Race Theory? You’re a white supremacist. You don’t believe in BLM or the 1619 Project? You’re a white supremacist.

Are you white? You’re a white supremacist.

This is the evil of intersectionality.

This has been the goal of demonizing those who do not agree with the politics (which is the most of the Left). If you don’t believe a man can become a woman because he feels like it, you’re a bigot and demonized. The problem is that this can, eventually, become policy. At that point, people with differing view points can be spied on, lose their jobs or even be jailed. This has been done in the past and that’s where we are heading.

This is already happening. Tucker Carlson is reporting that the National Security Administration (NSA) has been spying on his electronic communications including personal E-mail and text messages. Normally, I would wait for a little more information before I say anything but Tucker is positive about it because of information obtained from an NSA whistleblower. According to Tucker, the goal is to get the show cancelled.

When asked about it, the NSA responded that they only monitor people from foreign countries that threaten our national security. That’s what they said. They didn’t deny that they were monitoring Tucker.

When asked about it, Jen Psaki gave a definition of what the NSA’s purpose and said the press should ask the NSA. She never denied that they were monitoring Tucker.

Why are they monitoring Tucker? They don’t like what he is saying. They don’t like the size of his audience and his disagreements with Biden’s policies. Tucker is a white supremacist and must be silenced.

Normally, this weaponization of a bureaucracy against a U.S. citizen would be a scandal. It won’t be because the media is just ignoring it.

This is going to get a loss worse before it gets better.

A Bit of a Karen but Good for Her

A woke L.A. spa called Wi Spa allowed a man who claimed to be a women, a man that had all his equipment, to go into the women’s locker room and parade around in all his glory. A women was a tad upset about it because there were little girls in the locker room. The spa did nothing about it because their policy permitted transgender women to use the women’s restroom. Her response was precious:

  • She kind of does sound like a Karen.
  • She also sounds like a minority but this cannot be confirmed.

  • By the way, I know it’s hard to hear but someone who was signing up to be a member, a woman, changed her mind and left the spa without joining.

But it gets better. Some guy who is woke decided to explain why the dude has the right to be in the women’s restroom. She uses intersectionality against him. He walks away with his tail in between his legs and she takes one final swipe at him:

California Really Has It On Point

Why Not? It’s Not Their Money

San Francisco, unable to control their homeless problem has come up with an idea: create a city sponsored homeless encampment. The city of Los Angeles, that has over 60,000 homeless people, is watching with great interest.

  • San Francisco has six city sanctioned homeless encampments throughout the city.
  • The services offered include food, bathrooms, showers and community services such as placement programs.
  • Other services that are not mentioned in the article include needle exchanges.
  • The tents are kept separate for COVID reasons. This means there aren’t a lot of tents in one area (typically 20).
  • There are no rules. The people could come and go as they wished. No consequences.

Of course, Jeff Kositsky who runs the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, blames the United States for the homeless problem. He said:

The dynamic on the streets “has to do with the failures of our brand of capitalism, institutional racism, a broken behavioral health system, and none of us who do this work, we’re not going to fix that. What we’re trying to do is manage a really deep systemic issue where homelessness is a very visual depiction of our failures as a society.”

Of course, it has nothing to do with the crappy policies of California and San Francisco that made leasing an apartment in California almost impossible.

At first, it was thought it would cost $2600 per person per month to keep these encampments. Now, with all the services and food, it has been found that it costs between $61,000-70,000 per tent, mostly because more people are living in them.

Good job, California! Why to spend money that isn’t yours!

This is how we fix this problem:

  • First, it is not a right to live on the street making others lives miserable.
  • There are three types of people on the street for the most part:
    • Drug addicts.
    • Mentally ill.
    • Those that like it.
  • Those that live on the streets because they like it need to find another place.
  • The other two do not need jails. Bring back the sanitarium system.

That’ll Help Too

A bill introduced by California state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) that decriminalizes possession of psychedelic drugs in the state made progress Tuesday after he removed a potential date-rape drug from the legislation.

According to the Associated Press, people 21 and older can use:

  • Mushrooms.
  • Mescaline.
  • LSD.
  • MDMA (Ecstacy)

Wiener had to remove ketamine from the bill because it is commonly used as a date rape drug.

Wiener said:

“People’s lives are literally transformed because of these substances.” Fox News has reported regarding recent research into the use of “psychedelic drugs to treat depression, drug addiction, PTSD, and a range of other mental health afflictions.”

I’m not a fan of drug legalization:

  • We have a lot of problems in our cities now because of drugs.
  • There are no consequences. Drug addicts become defacto wards of the state using my tax payer money to support their addictions.
  • Drug abuse is also lowering the standard of living for everyone, not just the drug addicted.
    • More accidents.
    • More homeless.

This is not going to fix California. It is going to get worse.

Episode 372 – Keep Digging That Hole

Joe Biden continues to miss the point and be old and Kamala Harris’ “leadership” is not helping his administration at all.

Are You Kidding Me?

Crime, especially violent crime is up like crazy over the last year and a half. Joe Biden decided to answer the call by condemning what everyone thought he would condemn: guns.

So his new “crime prevention” program will focus on:

  • Stronger background checks.
  • Banning “assault” rifles.
  • Banning ghost guns.
  • Banning high capacity magazines.
  • And expanding community policing. Whatever that means.

Biden touted the same BS lines he talked about before.

As far as “assault rifles” and high capacity magazines, Biden said:

“Talk to most responsible gun owners they’ll tell you there’s no possible justification for having 100 rounds in a magazine” and said that deer do not wear Kevlar vests. A very tired argument.

Then he said something really weird:

“Those who say the blood of Patriots, you know, and all the stuff about how we’re gonna have to move against the government. If you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.”

Hmm:

  • Seems like an overt threat.
  • Is he really saying he will nuke American citizens if they revolt against a tyrannical government?
  • Isn’t him saying he will suppress any revolt with nukes and F-15s a sign of tyranny.

Biden continues:

“We’re not changing the Constitution. We’re enforcing it.”

  • Not sure how taking guns away is enforcing the Constitution.
  • Biden touted “zero tolerance” for gun dealers who willfully violate the law, and claimed that 90% of illegal guns found at crime scenes were traced back to 5% of gun dealers.
  • The “zero-tolerance” policy targets federally licensed firearms dealers who “willfully” transfer a weapon to someone prohibited from owning one or ignore a tracing request from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
  • The ATF would seek to revoke the dealer’s license after the first offense.

“If you willfully sell a gun to someone who’s prohibited from possessing it, if you willfully fail to run a background check, if you willfully falsify a record … my message to you is this: We’ll find you and we will seek your license to sell guns.”

Couple of question for you:

  • How many legal gun dealers are willing to risk their license by illegally?
  • What about going after the people who illegally get guns? Most crime is committed by felons where it is already illegal to own a weapon.
  • Why are crime rates going up mostly in blue cities where guns are already heavily regulated and almost impossible to get? Los Angeles, New York and Chicago have the highest gun crimes in the country and all three have incredibly overbearing gun laws.
  • What about Hunter Biden? Why isn’t he being prosecuted?

NRS spokeswoman Amy Hunter told Fox News:

“This is a political red herring aimed at hiding the real and abysmal failures of the Biden administration. Crime rates are high because of the efforts to defund the police and a failure to prosecute career criminals. The simple fact is strict enforcement of existing laws – including gun laws – coupled with support of law enforcement and prosecutors to do their jobs would result in a dramatic decrease in crime. But, the president would rather play politics than make Americans safer.”

This is absolutely correct. As usual, the Left is missing target. Handcuffing and defunding the police, making crime legal and releasing criminals has nothing to do with a spike in crime, according to the Left.

No one misses the target more than Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who calls the crime increases “hysteria”:

What context is she talking about? When I see that violent crime throughout the country is up 50%, there’s context to that?

Yeah. This is coming from someone who lives in a secure building and walks around with armed guards. Talk about tone dead. But she represents the Left’s beliefs.

So Much for a Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

Joe Biden tried to pull a shell game move on the Republicans. Dumbass Republicans such as Mitt Romney were fooled.

  • Republican and Democratic Senators got together and came up with a bipartisan deal on infrastructure. The deal would cost over $1.2 trillion (I hate this).
  • Joe Biden then said that he would not sign the deal unless they passed his partisan bill that would cost trillions of dollars for climate change and crap like that.
  • The larger bill was suppose to be voted on first then the infrastructure bill.
  • Republicans than changed their minds and condemned the infrastructure bill because Biden said he would veto the infrastructure bill if his big bill was not passed.
  • The White House is now trying to do damage control to save the bills.

I don’t understand why there are Republicans that continue to think that Joe Biden is a moderate and running the country. They don’t need to vote for any of this crap that we don’t need to spend money on. The infrastructure in this country isn’t bad enough to spend $1.3 trillion of money we don’t have while we are trying to economically recover from the pandemic.

Let the Democrats do what they want and stop supporting them or trying to think there can be some sort of bipartisan crap. There is none and the Democrats don’t want it. Don’t vote for their bills. Let them waste all their shots at reconciliation. Let them take responsibility for their own mess. Don’t help them ruin the country.

 

She’s Not Helping At All

This weekend, Kamala Harris decided to go to the border. Sort of but not really.

  • She stopped at a Border Patrol facility in El Paso.
  • El Paso is a border city but not right on the border.
  • The facility she visited a facility that did not detain any illegal aliens.
  • In a press conference after her visit she:
    • Blamed the Trump administration for the mess. Not true.
    • Said they were making progress.
    • Insisted she had been to the border before, even yelling at a reporter about it.
  • She then got on a plane and headed to California.
  • When Jen Psaki was asked by reporters why she did not go to where the crisis was actually happening, she gave some gobblty-gook about how the Trump administration made this mess.

She did not want to go to the border because it would be a terrible photo op. The “kids in cages” thing that the media blew up on during the Trump administration is actually happening during the Biden administration.

The media is also getting impatient with the administration’s response and they are beginning to hammer them for it.

The 2022 elections couldn’t come fast enough.

Why Is She Representing Our Country?

NBC is going to take a bath on these Olympics in Tokyo this summer. The woke thing of some of these athletes is really a turn off. I have a feeling the United States Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee may have to take some steps to stem this tide of wokism and politicking by the athletes or they could lose a lot of money.

  • On Saturday, the last day of the US Olympic trials in track took place.
  • The ladies for the hammer throw were on the podium getting their medals.
  • Everyday, during the trials, the National Anthem is played at 5:30 PM.
  • The National Anthem began to play while the women were on the podium.
  • The first and second place women turned to the flag and put their hands on their heart.
  • The third place women, a broad named Gwen Berry, put her hand on her hip and turned away from the flag.
  • When the anthem finished, she held up a T-shirt that said “Activist Athlete”.
  • Later, she said she was “pissed off” because she was “blindsided” by the National Anthem being played while she was on the podium. This was a BS lie:
    • The anthem played every day at the same time no matter what was going on.
    • She had the T-shirt with her on the podium.
    • She was looking straight at the camera when she turned away.
  • Later, on Twitter, she asked for people to donate to her track club so she could train without needing to get a job.

This was clearly a planned publicity stunt. I think it backfired. She looked selfish, disrespectful and spoiled. She took a lot of crap over it.

But she double-downed on Twitter:

These people need to get kicked off the team. Anyone who hates the United States shouldn’t represent it during the Olympics.

I hate even talking about this story because it just gives her more publicity and, after all, who the hell really knows anything about the hammer throw.

Episode 371 – Frigging Black Holes!

Does anyone really give a damn about the upcoming summer Olympics in Tokyo?

And it might be time to cancel black holes.

 

The Olympics are Coming

The Olympics are coming to Japan. Are you excited?

Yeah, neither am I.

I have been losing interest in the Olympics since The US basketball team added professional players. I liked when it was only amateurs that competed in the Olympics. Most of the people competing had to win to get rich and most worked jobs outside of their training. Eddie the Eagle, who did the shi jump in the year I went to the Olympics is Calgary in 1988 was a brick layer. It was such a great story that he ended up rich even though he finished last in the competition. People were just thrilled that he didn’t fall during his jumps.

The Jamaican bobsled team was also a huge big deal. Those guys stories flew threw the Olympics. Everyone knew they didn’t have a chance but they were the most anticipated team. I remember them falling. Their story was ut into the fantastic moviw, Cool Runnings with John Candy.

But the Olympics also have those moments that I remember best. The US Hockey team beating the Soviet Union two weeks after losing 10-0. Mary Lou Retton winning the all-around gold medal in gymnastics.

Those days are long gone.

Now, Olympic athletes are already rich, professional athletes and whiney little bitches.

Now enter political correctness and the woke.

Maybe He Just Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Compete

Chelsea Wolfe,  trans female BMX bike rider, that means he’s a man competing in a female sport, said he had the goal of winning the Olympic gold medal just so he could burn and American flag on the podium.

He tweeted:

“My goal is to win the Olympics so I can burn a US flag on the podium. This is what they focus on during a pandemic. Hurting trans children.”

Attached was an article about how the Trump administration ordered doctors to treat trans people who had the China virus should be treated based on their biological sex. I know, this is weird. A doctor should treat a man like he has the biology of a man. But that’s not the point of this.

He deleted the tweet, knowing it would haunt him as the Olympics come closer but, like I tell my kids, everything on the Internet is forever.

When asked about it, Wolfe stated to Fox News:

“Anyone who thinks that I don’t care about the United States is sorely mistaken. One of the reasons why I work so hard to represent the United States in international competition is to show the world that this country has morals and values, that it’s not all of the bad things that we’re known for. I take a stand against fascism because I care about this country and I’m not going to let it fall into the hands of fascists after so many people have fought and sacrificed to prevent fascism from taking hold abroad. As a citizen who wants to be proud of my home country, I’m sure as hell not going to let it take hold here.”

He said he was going to burn an American flag on the podium while the National Anthem is playing. I don’t think he should represent our country.

This isn’t the first time he has said anything controversial. Last year, Wolfe said on Facebook:

“I would never say that someone should explode the head of the president. That would be illegal. But I will say ‘with dynamite.’ Because that’s just a sentence fragment and doesn’t actually mean anything. It’s not necessarily related to the sentence that came before it.”

So, not only this guy who is trying to convince everyone he’s a a woman, he also hates the country and wants to kill Donald Trump. Glad to see this guy is representing the United States.

The United States Olympic Committee needs to pull this guy from the team.

Wonder Who’s Going to Win This Event.

Chelsea Wolfe is not the only trans woman competing.

Laurel Hubbard of New Zealand will be going to the Olympics and competing as a woman in the super heavyweight division.

  • Hubbard is 43 years old and competed with the with the men 8 years ago when he decided to transition to a woman.
  • Hubbard notably took silver in the 2017 world championships, sparking outrage from proponents of women’s sports and fellow athletes.

Responding to the controversy about how it was unfair that he be allowed to compete against women when he was a man for the first 35 years of his life, Hubbard said:

“As an athlete, all I can really do is block that out. If I try and take that weight on board, it just makes the lifts harder. All I can really do is just focus and lift.

“The science is evolving, and the position of the IOC is evolving too. What most people probably don’t realize is that I actually satisfy the requirements of the 2003 Stockholm consensus, which were the original rules that the IOC agreed upon to allow participation of people like myself. So I am not competing under a recent rule change. I am competing under rules which have been in place now for 14 years.”

Hubbard is allowed to compete because he is able to keep his testosterone to under 10 nanomole. Of course, that has been done just recently, when he was 35. I’m not sure how this affects his muscle mass or bone density. It doesn’t look like it has change his height and weight. And that’s what the competition is complaining about.

Belgian weightlifter, Anna Vanbellinghen, is not at all happy about it. She said:

“First off, I would like to stress that I fully support the transgender community, and that what I’m about to say doesn’t come from a place of rejection of this athlete’s identity. I am aware that defining a legal frame for transgender participation in sports is very difficult since there is an infinite variety of situations, and that reaching an entirely satisfactory solution, from either side of the debate, is probably impossible.

“However, anyone that has trained weightlifting at a high level knows this to be true in their bones: this particular situation is unfair to the sport and to the athletes.”

She has to show that she’s not a bigot and smoothly goes into that weird thing the Left doesn’t like…science.

She continued:

“So why is it still a question whether two decades, from puberty to the age of 35, with the hormonal system of a man also would give an advantage?

“I understand that for sports authorities nothing is as simple as following your common sense, and that there are a lot of impracticalities when studying such a rare phenomenon, but for athletes the whole thing feels like a bad joke.

“Life-changing opportunities are missed for some athletes — medals and Olympic qualifications — and we are powerless.”

Here, you can say she is getting a little more angry as she talks about it. Everything she is saying is true. What I would love to have heard from her that this is is sexist against biological women because it is. But trans bigotry (which this is not) is higher on the woke charts than sexism so Anna will not get any love from the Left. I know that women who have bitched about having to compete against men have been called bigots.

In the end, the best woman in sports ends up being a man.

I hope Laurel Hubbard wins the gold medal and break every female world record. That might make these woke idiots re-evaluate their stance on crap like this.

Black Holes…Cancelled

In an article in the City Journal titled Down a Black Hole by Heather Mac Donald. I bet you already know where this article is going. Let’s just get to it.

Physicists at MIT and SUNY Stony Brook recently announced findings that the total surface area of two black holes was maintained after the two entities merged. While this research was a welcome confirmation of both Stephen Hawking’s work and the theory of general relativity, it failed to address a crucial matter: what were its racial implications?

Question: When did it become the job of an astrophysicist to analyze the racial implication of a black hole?

That is a lacuna that an astronomy course at Cornell University aims to prevent. “Black Holes: Race and the Cosmos” asks the question, “Is there a connection between the cosmos and the idea of racial blackness?” Anyone familiar with academia’s racial monomania knows the answer: of course there is! Though “conventional wisdom,” according to the catalog description of “Black Holes: Race and the Cosmos,” holds that the “‘black’ in black holes has nothing to do with race,” astronomy professor Nicholas Battaglia and comparative literature professor Parisa Vaziri know better.

Battaglia and Vaziri puncture the “conventional wisdom” by drawing on theorists such as Emory University English professor Michelle Wright. Wright’s book, The Physics of Blackness: Beyond the Middle Passage Epistemology, invokes “Newton’s laws of motion and gravity” and “theoretical particle physics” to “subvert racist assumptions about Blackness.” The Cornell course also studies music by Sun Ra and Outkast to “conjure blackness through cosmological themes.”

In 1996, New York University physicist Alan Sokal published a paper, “Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity,” in one of high theory’s holiest of shrines: Social Text. Sokal’s article drew on efforts among comparative literature and American studies professors to deploy scientific concepts toward a postmodern end: showing science to be a mere power play designed to silence “dissident or marginalized communities,” in Sokal’s words. “Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity” cited such postmodern giants as Andrew Ross and Luce Irigaray on topics like “oppositional discourses in post-quantum science” and “gender encoding in fluid mechanics.” The paper itself proposed a new theory of quantum gravity that could serve as the basis for a “postmodern and liberatory science.”

Sokal’s paper was a hoax. Like the high-theory sources it cited, it mauled the underlying science while obscuring its scientific illiteracy with vast clouds of theorese. Yet it was accepted for publication, apparently without raising a scintilla of doubt among Social Text’s editors.

I remember this paper. Alan Sokal and a couple of other professors wanted to see if the could publish crazy papers that were politically correct just to see if it would be published. Guess what? It was.

He made the higher education soft sciences look foolish.

That’s what this article is about. The stupidity of the high academic classes. This class will actually give one science credits. Incredible.

Episode 370 – What About the Real Independence Day?

Oops, Wrong Again!

The media and the Leftist politicians aren’t getting it. In the fact they are losing a lot of credibility. Their narratives have clouded their judgment so much that they refuse to come to terms that no one is believing them anymore. Here is another example.

In Wilton Manors, Florida, during a gay pride parade. During the parade, a truck accelerated and hit a crowd of parade goers. One was killed and one was injured. Moments after the tragedy, the Fort Lauderdale Mayor, Dean Trantalis, who was at the parade, made the following statement to a local news outlet:

“This is a terrorist attack against the LGBT community. This is exactly what it is. Hardly an accident. It was deliberate, it was premeditated, and it was targeted against a specific person. Luckily they missed that person, but unfortunately, they hit two other people.”

It took a little time later that Trantalis’ announcement burned through social media, specifically Twitter. The Twitter user started blaming Ron DeSantis. The Leftists pointed out that DeSantis had approved a bill that would not make it against the law to run over protestors in their cars if they feared for their lives. They argued that this incident is proof that his laws were meant to threaten peaceful protest with violent, white extremists. The hash tag #DeathSantis was trending for hours.

There are a few things wrong with this.

  • The law was designed for people who are being threatened by rioters to be able to defend themselves, not go out and, willy-nilly, run over peaceful protestors.
  • Even if that is what the law meant, this was not a protest. It was a pride parade. The law wouldn’t have applied here.
  • Ron DeSantis didn’t drive the car into anyone!

But there was another big detail that I have failed to bring up: The whole thing was determined to be an accident!

That’s right, an accident.

The man in the truck jumped out of the truck, distressed, yelling that he stepped on the wrong peddle and it was an accident. He never ran away and did not continue his “terrorism carnage”. The man driving the truck was wearing a Fort Lauderdale Gay men’s Chorus t-shirt, and the chorus’ president, Justin Knight, said the driver was “part of the Chorus family.” Knight released a statement:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tragic accident that occurred when the Stonewall Pride Parade was just getting started. Our fellow Chorus members were those injured and the driver was also a part of the Chorus family. To my knowledge, this was not an attack on the LGBTQ community. We anticipate more details to follow and ask for the community’s love and support.”

Oops.

Twitter never fact checked those who participated in the #DeathSantis trend, didn’t take it down when it was found it wasn’t terrorism and never apologized to Ron DeSantis.

Lori Lightfoot is incompetent, narcissistic and just nuts.

Last week, in addressing the rising level in violence in Chicago, she said:

“When we think about racism, many of us think about it in visible and audible forms, but the reality is the insidious nature of systemic racism has other impacts that are every bit as deep and harmful, but often ones that we can’t see, like the impacts on the psyche and other impacts on our bodies that are just as, if not more deadly.”

Yeah, no.

And Alderman Raymond Lopez, of Chicago’s 15th Ward, agrees with me. He is a Democrat who has had a tough relationship with Lightfoot. He has been on Fox News frequently bitching about Lightfoot’s “leadership”. I want to point this out because It is important. Lopez is a liberal Democrat. He’s not a Leftist. This is the classical Democrat I miss. He said of Lightfoot’s leadership to the Washington Examiner:

“Generational gang life isn’t just something that’s encouraged. It’s almost revered in some neighborhoods. If you really want to get to what is at the heart of a lot of this, it is gangs, and it is the borderline collapse of the family unit in many of our neighborhoods … [Lightfoot] has avoided calling out gangs in our community as a source of violence in our city.”

He pointed out that residents have stopped calling the police because the police are not allowed to do anything about it. He was the guy who brought this up in a secretly recorded meeting and Lightfoot told him he was full of shit. Put quote around that because that is exactly what she told him.

He continued:

“I think it’s a foil to avoid having to deal with [gang and other issues], period. Two hundred-plus murders in the city of Chicago, none of them were committed because of racism. I can tell you last week’s gang shooting had nothing to do with racism. The shooting in Englewood Monday morning, four people shot, three others injured, was not about racism.”

Here’s the story: Lightfoot doesn’t care.

It was another violent weekend in Chicago. This include a shooting that left one man dead and his girlfriend in critical condition and it was all recorded. She has yet to address this but she did have the time to address the desire for the Chicago Bears football team to move out of the city and move into the suburbs.

Yeah, she has her priorities straight.

It’s not Just Chicago

Atlanta is also facing a huge criminal violence problem. In Atlanta, murders are up 50% and car jackings are up 76%.When asked about it, Kiesha Lance Bottoms, the Leftist mayor said this:

“Remember in Georgia we were opened up before the rest of the country, even before the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] said that it was safe for us to open so our night clubs and our bars remained open so we had people traveling here from across the country to party in our city,.

“COVID left a lot of people battered and bruised, not just physically but also emotionally.”

Got that? It’s Republican’s fault because the pandemic is all but over but people have problems because of the lockdowns.

Question: Why aren’t Florida, Texas, Alaska, North and South Dakota, Montana and Idaho facing a crime issue? They have been open for quite a while.

Another question: Whit are New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Atlanta, Washington DC, San Francisco and Seattle experiencing huge growth in crime? Those cities are still locked down until just recently.

But it gets better. She said:

“Until we deal with the systemic issues of gun violence in this country, how easily young people, people with mental illnesses can access guns in this country, I’m afraid that this will not be the last summer that we are having this conversation.

“If it were an Atlanta issue alone then I’d know that there was something that we weren’t getting right… but I’m talking to mayors and hearing from mayors in cities and large urban areas, we’re all experiencing this which means that we all have to work together to find a solution to this gun violence that is gripping our nation.”

Oh, so it’s also the lack of gun control that is the reason of spiking criminal violence and it is prevelent throughout all big cities. In other words, it’s Republican’s fault again because Republicans believe citizens have the right to be able to protect themselves by owning a gun. Interesting.

Questions: Why are cities in red states, which do have really lax gun laws not see a spike in gun violence? And are the laws really that lax in those cities? They still have to go through city, state and federal laws including background checks.

Another question: Why are cities with the most restrictive gun control laws in the country are seeing the huge spikes in crime? Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and San Francisco make it legally impossible to own a gun or get ammo. Why is Boise, Idaho, which has open carry, not have a gun violence problem?

Could it be that criminals, who don’t care about gun control laws, are afraid they will run into someone who has a gun to protect himself against people like him?

One last question: Could telling people they will never get ahead because of their race lead to crime by those individuals? Could spending the last year demonizing and defunding the police who are paid to catch those criminals so that they quit or don’t do their jobs have something to do with it? Could catching a criminal who committed a violent crime and then releasing him hours later have something to do with it? Could not prosecuting violent criminals and letting them free to go have something to do with it?

Conclusion

These Leftist leaders, sitting in their ivory and heavily protected towers, are tone deaf and just don’t care about anything but their narrative.

The Left’s Real Independence Day

Evanston, an affluent suburb in Illinois decided to cancel their 4th of July festivities due to the China virus. One has to think this was a bit of an over reaction considering the virus was was already on the downslide in United States.

The city said in a statement:

Based on concern for public health due to the unpredictability of the pandemic’s impact, vaccination rates, and in cooperation with our local authorities, the Trustees of the Evanston Fourth of July Association voted to cancel the Fun Run, Parade, Palatine Concert Band performance and Lakefront Fireworks show on July 4, 2021. However, we are committed and already working toward an Independence Day celebration that will be safe, creative and build community.

Monthly podcasts began in late 2019 titled “Celebrating a Century –The 4th of July in Evanston which will continue and can be heard on your personal devices. If guidelines allow, the Association plans to conduct the traditional morning games and activities in the parks and schools. The 2020 Virtual 4th of July celebration with a parade, concert and fireworks is ready to be replayed. The Celebration Team is considering mini concerts, roving entertainment, neighborhood art and decoration projects to provide the community with a day to remember.

Wow! Podcasts, a virtual celebration with music and roving entertainment? Replays of firework displays? Who the Hell need Independence Day? We could celebrate like this every day!

Well, it’s been three months and the city has not reinstated the July 4th celebrations. The vaccination rates for the town is at 87%. The infection and death rates are practically zilch throughout the country.

When asked about this, the Independence Day organizer, Jamie Black said:

The city’s Fourth of July Association “made the decision in March based on the information that we had at that time.”

“There are deadlines for permits and to secure the fireworks, as well as taking applications for the parade that happen early in the year. We erred on the side of caution. If things weren’t better, we would have been criticized for being a super spreader event.”

OK, fine. The city is playing it safe against a moderately dangerous virus. Or are they?

Nope.

This weekend, the city held a Juneteenth celebration which included music, a parade, food and a fireworks display. It was organized by a Evanston Past and Future, a group that promotes black history.

Next weekend, Evanston will host a gay pride event. The Independence Day festivities for July 4th have still not been reinstituted.

Seem like the China virus isn’t a problem with those and those groups didn’t have issues getting permits.

The Bigger Issue

I am glad that Juneteenth is an official holiday. I wish It was in December and it would be called “Emancipation Day” or something like that. Something that celebrates the actual Emancipation Proclamation signed into law by Abraham Lincoln, not a day that happened two years after the law was enacted and after the Civil War. A war that killed 700,000 people, mostly white, to end slavery and keep the country together.

But Juneteenth is being pushed, not as a national holiday that should unify the country like Columbus Day, July 4th and Thanksgiving. It is being coined as the Black Independence Day. I believe the day was chosen because Lincoln can’t be involved because he was white and this would go against the new narrative that he was a closet racist. They can’t celebrate it on the day the Civil War ended, making the Emancipation Proclamation law throughout the entire country because the 700,000 who died were mostly white and that would make ending slavery a country wide struggle, not just a black person’s struggle.

The reality is, ending slavery was not a race thing. It was an evil thing. It violated the tenets of the Constitution. White and black people joined together to fight it. They unified. Black slaves fought side-by-side with their white countrymen to end the evil. That is unifying.

The Left doesn’t want this. They want to make this a black holiday a “black only” holiday. They want to use this holiday to divide, not unify.

Don’t buy into it.

Episode 368 – You Have to Feel Bad for the Guy

You’ve got to feel sorry for Joe Biden.

Our economic future is looking worse than we thought.

And the attacks on religion continue with no barriers in sight.

 

Biden Loses His Temper

One of the funnier interactions with Joe Biden on Wednesday’s “Summit” with Vlad Putin was his reaction from an unsolicited question from CNN reporter Caitlan Collins.

What a piece of crap.

  • Little news flash: He does this all the time.
    • He called a reporter that asked a tough question a fatty.
    • He almost got into a fight with a union worker over gun control.
    • He challenged an 80-year-old man to push-ups because he asked a hard question.
  • Joe Biden is a grouchy old man and he has been his entire career when he is challenged.

He knew he messed this up and he tried to back away from it later. He has the media on his side, especially CNN. If he had attacked Steve Duecy of Fox News, who I thought asked a much harder question about the Chinese virus and the lab leak theory, everyone would have been fine with it and he would have looked like a hero putting in place the right wing racist media. But he attacked his people. He needed to make things better.

His bowing down to the media at the airport made him look weaker and more pathetic. Unlike other times, I mean this with sympathy. Joe knew the trip this week was bad. Nothing was accomplished, he had given ground and got nothing. He had a meeting with a tyrant whose country has the economy of Italy. He gave him the pipeline Putin wanted and got nothing. The CNN question was interesting because she was asking if Biden was so naïve that he trusted a murderous tyrant. He didn’t like this and reacted.

I feel sorry for him because his age is really showing. His insecurities are really showing. I’m getting the impression he is hearing how he has declining mental fitness and want to prove that he doesn’t. But this trip really did prove that he does. I’m sure his staff, who is making all the moves for Old Joe and steering him in the “right” (or Left) direction. I think he is beginning to feel the strain. It’s just really sad to see this guy, who I don’t like, obviously suffering through this.

The Outlook is Looking Bleak

The Federal Reserve has significantly increased its expectations for inflation this year following massive government spending from Democrat President Joe Biden.

According to CNBC:

On Wednesday, The Federal Reserve “considerably raised its expectations for inflation this year and brought forward the time frame on when it will next raise interest rates. However, the central bank gave no indication as to when it will begin cutting back on its aggressive bond-buying program, though Fed Chairman Jerome Powell acknowledged that officials discussed the issue at the meeting.”

There is a thought that inflation could grow another 4% by next year which would be a record high.

So now, the fed is afraid that this inflation, which they said should be short term is now looking more like it could be long term. The Feds need to raise the interest rates to keep up and that’s not even considering we could be seeing an overheated economy, which will create another round of inflation that could take us to 2024.

Jimmy Carter all over again. But, I’m not panicking. We ended up with Reagan.

The courts are getting pummeled with religious freedom cases. There were a couple of rulings this week. One was good and one not so much.

Just Get the Cake from Somewhere Else

You probably know this story because it’s been around for like…you know…forever.

  • There is a bakery called Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado owned by a guy named Jack Phillips.
  • Jack Phillips is a Conservative Christian and he runs his business, for better or worse, under the Christian principles.
  • When gay marriage was made legal, a gay couple walked into his store, knowing who he was and what he would do, and asked him to create a custom wedding cake for their gay marriage.
  • He said he couldn’t do it because of religious reasons but they could by any pre-made cake.
  • They said no and walked out of the store.
  • They two went straight to the courthouse and filed a lawsuit so everyone could see that these two gals were actually activists.
  • The Colorado Civil Rights Commission (that doesn’t sound Orwellian) ruled against the Phillips.
  • This thing went all the way to the Supreme Court where they ruled that the Commission was biased against religion and threw out against the case.
  • The Court never ruled on the real issue, Free Speech vs. Religious Freedom.
  • Right after he won that case, the guy was harassed left and right.

Another case went up to the Civil Rights Commission and, again he lost. This time he wouldn’t design a coming out cake for a trans person. Ugh!

Phillips is being represented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) General Counsel Kristen Waggoner. She gave an overview:

“Jack Phillips serves all people but shouldn’t be forced to create custom cakes with messages that violate his conscience

“In this case, an activist attorney demanded Jack create custom cakes in order to ‘test’ Jack and ‘correct the errors’ of his thinking, and the activist even threatened to sue Jack again if the case is dismissed for any reason. Radical activists and government officials are targeting artists like Jack because they won’t promote messages on marriage and sexuality that violate their core convictions.

“This case and others — including the case of floral artist Barronelle Stutzman, whose petition is pending before the U.S. Supreme Court — represents a disturbing trend: the weaponization of our justice system to ruin those with whom the activists disagree. The harassment of people like Jack and Barronelle has been occurring for nearly a decade and must stop.

“We will appeal this decision and continue to defend the freedom of all Americans to peacefully live and work according to their deeply held beliefs without fear of punishment.”

So this poor bastard, who has been harassed for the last ten years and the state of Colorado supports it. This is going to go all the way to the Supreme Court.

Good news, the Supreme Court made a ruling yesterday that went to protect the religious freedom. Bad news, it was a very muddled ruling.

Not A Great Ruling

The Supreme Court defied expectations on Thursday, issuing a unanimous — but limited — ruling in favor of a Catholic foster care agency that was targeted by Philadelphia authorities for refusing to consider same-sex couples as adoptive parents.

CNN reported:

“Philadelphia violated the First Amendment when it froze the contract of a Catholic Foster Care Agency that refused to work with same-sex couples as potential foster parents because the agency believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

“The dispute arose because Catholic Social Services — which was receiving taxpayer funds — was unwilling to work with LGBTQ couples as foster parents out of religious objections to same sex marriage. The policy was brought to the attention of the city in 2018 after inquiries from a local newspaper, and soon after the government put a freeze on the contract. The group, led by long-time foster parent Sharonell Fulton who has fostered more than 40 children over 25 years, brought suit.”

Now, to be clear: If a gay couple walked into Catholic Social Services and wanted to adopt or foster a child, the service would say they couldn’t help them but would recommend other companies that could. There are nineteen other services in Philadelphia who will work with gay couples. Also, the Catholic Social Services will not work with single people because they believe that a child needs a father and mother.

This thing went all the way to the Supreme Court where it ruled 9-0 in favor of Catholic Social Service. Yay, right? Maybe not.

Chief Justice John Roberts is garbage. The court was already prepared to rule 6-3 on the case and giving a solid definition of freedom of religion. But Roberts wanted a unified court which means Sotomayor, Kagen and Breyer needed to come along because they weren’t going to go with religious freedom. So he came up with a very watered down version of the ruling that leaves that issue open.

Roberts wrote:

CSS “seeks only an accommodation that will allow it to continue serving the children of Philadelphia in a manner consistent with its religious beliefs; it does not seek to impose those beliefs on anyone else.

“The refusal of Philadelphia to contract with CSS for the provision of foster care services unless it agrees to certify same-sex couples as foster parents…violates the First Amendment.

“Certification as a foster parent…is not readily accessible to the public. It involves a customized and selective assessment that bears little resemblance to staying in a hotel, eating at a restaurant, or riding a bus.”

Essentially, what Roberts is saying is that restrictions on contracting with CSS stating that they must help anyone must be written into the law in Philadelphia. It was not so they cannot stop the contract because it violates the First Amendment.

Jeez! John Roberts is so ball-less. Essentially, all the Philadelphia City Council has to do is update the law allowing for prejudice against religion and we start this whole thing over again. But Judge Roberts got a 9-0 ruling.

Justice Samuel Alito, who wrote a concurrence opinion, stated just that:

“The Court has emitted a wisp of a decision that leaves religious liberty in a confused and vulnerable state. Those who count on this Court to stand up for the First Amendment have every right to be disappointed — as am I.” 

I was real excited by this ruling when I saw the headline but when I read about it, I was disappointed. This is how the Constitution will be changed by the Left. They will incrementally change the Constitution, one ruling at a time, until our freedoms are gone. John Roberts, intentionally or not, is helping the Left do this with these weak-ass rulings. This is how religious institutions will lose tax exempt status. This is how religious schools will lose accreditation.

I’m glad CSS won the case but it’s only a matter of time before they find themselves right back in front of the Supreme Court and why Jack Phillips is going through his crap again. Until we have a Chief Justice who’s going to stop being such a puss and make a stand, this crap is just going to keep going on.
