Democratic San Francisco Mayor London Breed on Tuesday unveiled a plan to require anyone receiving welfare to comply with mandatory drug testing and treatment programs amid growing pressure to get ahold of the city’s homeless and fentanyl crises – the same day a new primary challenger in next year’s election entered the race.
Announcing the proposal with Supervisor Matt Dorsey, a recovering addict and former spokesperson for the police department, Breed said the new initiative would require individuals with substance use disorders who want to access county-funded cash assistance to be enrolled in treatment and services.
“San Francisco is a city of compassion, but also a city that demands accountability,” Breed said in a statement. “We fund a wide range of services, and we want to help people get the care they need but under current state law, local government lack tools to compel people into treatment. This initiative aims to create more accountability and help get people to accept the treatment and services they need.”
“I strongly support Mayor Breed’s initiative, which will better incentivize treatment and recovery for a population that’s at wildly disproportionate risk for drug addiction and overdose fatalities,” Dorsey added. “We’re facing an unprecedented loss of life in San Francisco, and we know coercive interventions can work.
But the mayor faces an uphill battle to get the legislation approved by more progressive Democratic counterparts on City Council, as the proposal deviates from the ultra-liberal city’s once prevailing view against forcing involuntary treatment for the mentally ill. Meanwhile, as open-air drug markets, homelessness and rising crime bring public safety concerns to the forefront ahead of an election year, the announcement from City Hall came the same day Daniel Lurie, a longtime nonprofit executive and an heir to the Levi Strauss & Co. fortune, formally announced a 2024 Democratic challenge to Breed.
Target announced plans to shut down nine stores across four different U.S. states after ongoing reports of violence, theft, and organized retail crime have threatened the safety of shoppers and employees.
The company said effective October 21, three stores in the San Francisco-Oakland area, three more in Portland, two locations in Seattle, and one store in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City will permanently close.
“We cannot continue operating these stores because theft and organized retail crime are threatening the safety of our team and guests, and contributing to unsustainable business performance,” Target said in a news release.

The three-year agreement addresses the main areas of concern for the union, including increased compensation, guaranteed length of employment, mandated writer’s room staff minimums, and protections against the use of AI (artificial intelligence).
The contract won’t be officially accepted until it’s ratified by union members following a voting period from October 2 until October 9. If certain portions aren’t passed, the strike could resume.
Specifically, the contract guarantees 5% raises in the first year, 4% raises in the second year, and 3.5% in the third. Health fund contributions will increase to 12% of the companies’ reportable earnings, per CNN, and writers working on the same script will no longer need to split pension and health contributions.
The outlet noted that for big streaming projects, including feature-length productions with a budget of at least $30 million, writer compensation will increase 18% to $100,000 minimum. Writers will also receive an increased percentage of residual pay for streaming projects they’ve worked on, and companies agreed to be more transparent about reporting viewership numbers.
As for the AI concerns, the document states that “AI can’t write or rewrite literary material.”
Hunter Biden on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani alleging the former President Trump lawyer violated his privacy rights by illegally disseminating content from Biden’s infamous laptop.
The complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California states Giuliani is “primarily responsible” for the “total annihilation” of Biden’s digital privacy. It also names Robert Costello, a former federal prosecutor who previously represented Giuliani, as a defendant, Fox News has confirmed.
“For the past many months and even years, Defendants have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from Plaintiff’s devices or storage platforms, including what Defendants claim to have obtained from Plaintiff’s alleged ‘laptop’ computer,” Biden’s attorneys wrote in the complaint, claiming that the data was not even from a “laptop,” but from an “external drive.”
The courts and the Constitution just keep getting in the way of the democrats tyranny.
According to CNN:
A federal judge struck down California’s ban on firearm magazines holding more than 10 rounds Friday as unconstitutional, “arbitrary and capricious.”
The ban, which was adopted through a 2016 proposition, had gone through various appeals until the US Supreme Court sent the case back to lower courts following its 2022 ruling in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association vs. Bruen. The landmark decision requires that firearm regulations don’t impede on the language of the Second Amendment and be “consistent with this Nation’s historical tradition.”
US District Judge Roger T. Benitez in Friday’s decision said the ban on high-capacity magazines fails to meet that standard and that “there is no national tradition of prohibiting or regulating firearms based on firing capacity or ammunition capacity.”
Benitez wrote that one “government solution to a few mad men with guns … makes into criminals responsible, law-abiding people wanting larger magazines simply to protect themselves.”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a statement called the decision “politics, pure and simple,” noting Benitez’s record for rolling back gun control legislation.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta filed a notice of appeal, vowing to “fight for our authority to keep Californians safe from weapon enhancements designed to cause mass casualties.”
The injunction on the ban will be stayed for 10 days, according to the decision.
This law is going to go to the Supreme Court where it will be struck down by a 6-3 decision because only six of the Supreme Court justices can read.

An anti-religion group attempting to throw cold water on an Alabama university after the school’s football coach was filmed assisting with the baptism of a student has a “twisted interpretation of the First Amendment,” a legal expert says.
On Friday, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent a letter to Auburn University President Christopher Roberts warning that more than 200 student baptisms, one of which was assisted by Auburn Tigers head football coach Hugh Freeze, somehow violated the Constitution’s Establishment Clause.
“These ongoing and repeated constitutional violations at the University create a coercive environment that excludes those students who don’t subscribe to the Christian views being pushed onto players by their coaches,” it states.
But Tyson Langhofer, senior counsel and director of the Center for Academic Freedom with Alliance Defending Freedom, is calling FFRF’s letter a “twisted interpretation of the First Amendment.”
“Freedom From Religion Foundation’s twisted interpretation of the First Amendment has the potential to crush both students’ and their coaches’ essential right to live out their faith,” Langhofer told Fox News Digital in a statement.
Alliance Defending Freedom is one of the most successful Supreme Court litigation firms, winning numerous cases dealing with First Amendment and religious freedoms.

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and his wife Nadine have been indicted on bribery charges, according to the Department of Justice.
The indictment comes after U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams opened a corruption investigation last October into Menendez, who has been in the Senate since 2006 and is chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Menendez faces charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, and conspiracy to commit extortion under color of official right.
This guy was accused of the same thing in 2015 and went to court. The jury hung and the case was just dropped.
He is accused of taking gold, cars, jobs for family members, mortgage payments and cash in exchange for access by foreign officials (like jobs), policy manipulation and the transfer of classified information. By the way, that makes this treason which is a death penalty level case.
The evidence is pretty damning this time. They have money, gold and cars. They also have DNA evidence (not sure how that works) and, since they know he was dealing directly with Egypt, they probably have witness testimony and communications.
This whole thing was started because he was being investigated for having sex with underage girls in the Dominican Republic.
This is a classy guy and is proof as to why we need term limits for politicians.
Boston University announced Wednesday that it would conduct an “inquiry” into Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s Center for Antiracist Research amid complaints about its culture.
The inquiry will be a broader version of a previous “examination,” looking at the center’s grant management practices, a spokesperson for Boston University told The Boston Globe.
The inquiry also comes shortly after layoffs at the center. Kendi recently laid off about 20 employees, more than half the center’s staff, the university confirmed last week.
Kendi, a prominent critical race theory scholar, has become an influential voice on “antiracism” over the last several years, especially after his book, “How to Be an Antiracist,” became a New York Times bestseller in 2020 in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
He has drawn criticism for promoting the theory that all racial disparities are due to racism. Kendi has also faced criticism for his book “Antiracist Baby,” a children’s picture book that introduces children to the concept of antiracism.

Discrimination against white people is necessary to be antiracist.

He started an antiracist research center at Boston University around the time of the George Floyd riots.
He received in the vicinity of $40 million in donation from some very high profile characters.
They burned through that money, only produced two research papers and canned half their staff.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill that would have pushed parents to “affirm” the gender identities of trans children — bowing to statewide pressure from parents and high-powered critics such as Elon Musk, who called it “utter madness.”
“I share a deep commitment to advancing the rights of transgender Californians, an effort that has guided my decisions through many decades in public office,” the lefty governor wrote in a message issued late Friday amid a flurry of other vetoes.
But the law, he said, would have created a new legal standard “in prescriptive terms that single out one characteristic,” the Sacramento Bee reported.
The measure, Assembly Bill 957, would have told judges to weigh parents’ support of their child’s “gender identity or gender expression” when determining custody or setting visitation rights — a change that Musk, the estranged father of a trans child, decried as “a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
Scott Weiner, creator of the bill whose gay (and likes BDSM among other fetishes) and doesn’t have any kids said:

Let’s be honest, Newsom isn’t doing this because he’s a highly moral and reasonable human being. In fact, he believes this bill should have been passed and would have signed it into law any other time. He didn’t because this would be used against him when he runs for president.
The author of “Gender Queer,” the graphic novel with explicit sexual content that has shown up in public school libraries across the country, outraging parents, is saying her book is not actually for kids.
Last week, author Maia Kobabe, who identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns “e, em and eir,” explained that while her book might be appropriate for “older teens,” she does not recommend it for children.
“It keeps being called a children’s book … but I think that’s coming from a misreading of the comic-book form. ‘Gender Queer’ is a comic, and in full color, but that doesn’t mean it’s for children. I originally wrote it for my parents, and then for older teens who were already asking these questions about themselves. I don’t recommend this book for kids!” she told The Washington Post in an interview published last week.
“Gender Queer” includes illustrations of sex between two males with a sex toy, oral sex, masturbation, and other sexually explicit content.

A Danish artist is being asked to return money he was given to complete an art installation after he submitted two blank canvases as the finished project.
The Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Denmark lent artist Jens Haaning 532,549 Dutch krone, equivalent to about $76,400, so he could recreate two earlier pieces that physically depicted the average income of a Danish citizen versus an Austrian citizen, per NPR.
But rather than affixing the money to the canvases, Haaning pocketed the cash and turned in blank canvases he dubbed “Take the Money And Run.”
The museum initially accepted the canvases and displayed them as part of its “Work It Out” show in 2021, expecting the artist to return the money afterward. But he refused, which resulted in a lengthy court battle.
My question is why should he return it? That’s modern art today. I’m just surprised no one bought it.
Hollywood is falling apart as well it should. They want more money and a guarantee that technology, specifically A.I., will not take the jobs of the writers or the actors. So they all went on strike.
Well, it’s been six months and guess what? No one notices or cares.

So the queens of empathy in Hollywood have decided to raise money for all the little people who do not have jobs because the millionaires who are on strike refuse to work. (I do hear they are paying $20 an hour at McDonald’s soon so we can give them that little piece of advice).
You would think that means each of these millionaires is going to donate $10,000 or something to help. You would be wrong. They are going to give so much more. Each actor and writer decided to auction off goods and service to the highest bidder on Ebay. There is an article by Abigail Weinberg at Mother Jones called Dog Culture Must End. I thought it was kind of a funny subject and Mother Jones does have some weird articles, so I read it. It’s worth taking a look at because, surprisingly, it is not as insane as the usual Mother Jones article.
When I say that I hate dogs, I don’t mean that I hate your dog. I mean that I dislike ill-behaved dogs. I mean that I’m actually a little bit scared of them, and they can sense my nervousness, and so we tend not to get along. I mean that I hate dog culture—the relentless prioritization of dogs’ needs over humans’, and the suggestion that anyone who doesn’t want their face licked by some oversized mutt is a monster.
This is not an insane opening statement. I agree with this.
This issue of our societal permissiveness toward dangerous dogs recently came up at work. During his tenure, President Joe Biden has brought two violent dogs into the White House, where thousands of people go to work every day. Last month, a conservative watchdog group released records showing that Biden’s German shepherd Commander attacked Secret Service members 10 times between October 2022 and January. And in 2021, Major Biden, another German shepherd, was exiled to Delaware after his own biting spree. When my colleague Inae Oh surveyed Mother Jones readers about how the Bidens should handle the situation, I was baffled by the responses.
This is true. Those dogs had no business being at the White House and the people working there have a right to work without being eaten by old Joe’s 120 pound dogs.
Several respondents suggested that Commander must be able to sniff out Trump allies, as if those people deserve to be savaged by an untrained dog. The notion that a dog is a reliable judge of character is symptomatic of a dog-obsessed society; a subset of our population genuinely believes that the dog is always right.
I think those people are probably making a joke, but with the weird culture we live in right now, who can be sure.
Also, is it a surprise that Trump is derided in this article? Of course not. The article wouldn’t get published otherwise.
I think the president should take a stand against this. Biden should set an example for the rest of the country by getting his animals under control or getting them out of the White House, away from an active workplace where they’ve been known to hurt people. He should make it clear that no one needs to tolerate an unruly dog. He should give a grand speech—I’ll write it, don’t worry—on how this country’s canine-first attitude is, although not a top legislative issue, extremely annoying.
I am allowing Biden to take the moderate position here, as usual. He does not need to say he hates dogs. He can simply state the obvious: It’s a dog’s world, and we’re just living in it, no matter how dangerous, dirty, or disrespectful it may be. (Hating dogs, by the way, is just another thing Trump ruined.)

Some will read this and pretend they don’t know what I’m talking about. Come on. You’ve experienced dogs’ indiscretions. You’ve stepped on their shit in the street. And it’s not their fault: Behind every misbehaving dog is a human victim of dog culture, an individual whose mind is too warped by dog-love to consider the well-being of their fellow humans or the dog itself. In a world of doggy day care, dog parades, and dog spas, can you really blame some people for starting to believe that dogs are a little better than the rest of us?

Some of us act like dogs rule the world. Often, when I’m out with a friend, strolling down the street or sitting down at a restaurant, a dog walks by, and the friend interrupts our conversation to freak out about the dog. They might exclaim what a cute dog it is, or go up to the owner asking to pet it, initiating a protracted conversation about the animal’s age, sex, weight, breed, temperament, and grooming requirements. What I want to say to my friend, but never manage to spit out, is, “Have you never seen a fucking dog before?” Calm down. Why are you so excited? It’s a dog.
I think, if I were a dog owner, that I would be annoyed by people stopping me every two blocks to fawn over my pet. But I’m not a dog owner, so I’m unable to comprehend the sense of superiority and entitlement that governs their day-to-day. Imagine going through a life with a rambunctious dog and insisting to every stranger she attacks that “She’s really sweet!” Imagine dragging your dog into restaurants with a fake “service animal” vest, thereby making it harder for people who actually do need service animals to prove that they’re not just pets. Imagine bringing your dog into a wilderness area, ignoring the leash requirements, and acting surprised when your dog won’t stop chasing birds or digging up plants.
We allow dogs to act like assholes. Enough. End dog culture now.

Dogs, or any other animal, do not belong in planes, trains, buses, restaurants, bars, coffee houses, grocery stores, malls, doctor’s offices or hospitals. They are animals, dirty and stick their noses in everyone’s business. I am not talking about service animals. But I am talking about pets.
I am also talking about emotional support animals. Those are just pets with a piece of paper signed by a doctor that save someone $50 on rent. If someone needs to have a dog to function, that person should check themselves into a mental institution. A dog ain’t going to fix their problem.
Dog culture is also just bad on our culture. We have a real problem with people not having kids. People are buying dogs and then calling themselves “dog parents” and they think that’s a replacement for kids. Here’s a little tidbit, people can’t be “dog parents”. Dog parents are other dogs And dog parents can be a-holes. You know why? Because they’re dogs. It irritates me when people say they’re not going to have kids, they’re just going to get a dog. It’s a cop out for being lazy and not wanting to be a responsible adult.
England just banned a large breed of pit bull citing the dangers of the animal. Mind you, they already banned pit bulls because they are dangerous animals (most people didn’t know that when the ban took effect). The same arguments come out when someone decides to put restrictions and bans on pit bulls in the United States.
I believe pit bulls should be banned. I believe this because most dog attacks are pit bulls (by a large margin) and they provide no real benefit. I have heard several arguments against banning pit bulls including my wife, who had a kid mauled by a pit bull. Not sure what her stance is and why she’s taking it.

You do not have a right to own a dog. It is not in the Constitution. Guns rights are.
Guns are inanimate objects. Dogs are not. They think and act for themselves.
Mean dogs are a training problem.
No. Dog are sentient creatures. They can be moody and get annoyed. That’s when they attack.
A dog can be fully trained and still flip out. It happens all the time.
They are no more dangerous than any other large dog.
No. Pit bulls have been bred to fight and kill.
They were made, specifically, for dog fighting.
They have jaws that lock.
They have higher levels of testosterones, making them more aggressive.
Pit bulls cause most of the fatalities from dog attacks.

Video streaming platform Rumble went public on Wednesday with a statement, revealing that they had received a letter from the U.K.’s Parliament demanding they demonetize Russell Brand over recent accusations of sexual misconduct — and they had refused to comply.

The state of California filed a lawsuit against some of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, claiming they deceived the public about the risks of fossil fuels now faulted for climate change-related storms and wildfires that caused billions of dollars in damage, officials said Saturday.
The civil lawsuit filed in state Superior Court in San Francisco also seeks creation of a fund — financed by the companies — to pay for recovery efforts following devastating storms and fires. Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom said in a statement the companies named in the lawsuit — Exxon Mobil, Shell, Chevron, ConocoPhillips and BP — should be held accountable.
“For more than 50 years, Big Oil has been lying to us — covering up the fact that they’ve long known how dangerous the fossil fuels they produce are for our planet,” Newsom said. “California taxpayers shouldn’t have to foot the bill for billions of dollars in damages — wildfires wiping out entire communities, toxic smoke clogging our air, deadly heat waves, record-breaking droughts parching our wells.”
Stonehenge was built by black Britons, a new children’s history book has claimed.
The illustrated book entitled Brilliant Black British History, by the Nigerian-born British author Atinuke, says “every single British person comes from a migrant” but “the very first Britons were black”.
Readers of the newly-released book are told that Stonehenge was built while Britain was “a black country”.
The book, published by Bloomsbury and promoted by Arts Council-funded literacy charity The Book Trust, states that “Britain was a black country for more than 7,000 years before white people came, and during that time the most famous British monument was built, Stonehenge.”
The introduction says that “Britain has been a mostly white country for a lot less time than it has been a mostly black country”.

A teenage driver has been arrested after he allegedly used a car to ram into at least one car as well as a cyclist in Las Vegas last weekend. The cyclist succumbed to his injuries and was reported dead after the incident.
Andreas Probst, the man who died after being hit, was a retired police chief who had served in law enforcement for 35 years.
They also hit at least one car though I heard they hit two.
If you watch the video, this was all intentional. They meant to hit everyone including the biker.
Those a-holes should spend the rest of their lives in prison.
A member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an anti-Christian ‘drag nun‘ group that has been honored by Scott Wiener as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers, was arrested in California’s Humbolt County last month after he was said to have publicly masturbated for an hour.
“According to numerous witnesses, Ellis-Gilmore had been at that location for approximately one hour, sitting in his truck with the door open, masturbating,” stated a sheriff’s report on the incident, which occurred at around 6:41 p.m. on August 12. “The conduct does not appear to have been directed at anyone in particular.”
The Peel District School Board (PDSB) decided to eliminate all books published in 2008 or earlier, according to CBC News.
These include The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
One student said: “This year, I came into my school library and there are rows and rows of empty shelves with absolutely no books,” Takata told CBC. The student estimates about 50 percent of the library has been removed.
Why? According to the Post Millennial: The blanket censorship is a result of an Ontario Ministry of Education decree on equity that demands all books available to students are inclusive. Apparently, at least one school apparently determined that 2008 was the demarcation line between acceptable, inclusive books and those that do not meet this undefined standard. Weeding by publication date may explain why The Very Hungry Caterpillar is unavailable in a Toronto School, Diane Lawson of Libraries not Landfills was told by a kindergarten teacher.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) released a statement late this week apologizing for her actions that led to her being thrown out of a “Beetlejuice” musical last weekend.
Denver Arts & Venues said in a statement that they received three different complaints that Boebert and her new boyfriend were “vaping, singing, causing a disturbance.”
She was also wearing a rather risky outfit and was getting felt up by her boyfriend. She ended up getting kicked out of the theater.

Actor and comedian Russell Brand has been accused of the rape and sexual assault of four women.
Brand, 48, denied the allegations in a video shared to his social media platforms on Friday, as he insisted his relationships have been “consensual.”
The actor said he received several messages from major media companies claiming he was involved in “very serious criminal allegations,” which he described as a “litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks,” on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Four women have claimed Brand sexually assaulted them between the years of 2006 and 2013, according to The Sunday Times.
The allegations come after a joint investigation has been made public by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4 Dispatches.
He added this was a time during his career when he was working “in the mainstream … As I have written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous [at that time].”
“Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent, and I am being transparent about it now as well,” Brand continued.
Brand is not exactly a right-wing guy but he has been outspoken about free speech, freedom of religion and Leftism in general. Just last week, he was bitching about something that went vital that would have made conservatives proud. Shockingly, this comes up.

Beauty giant Dove has partnered with a Black Lives Matter activist to promote “fat liberation,” after she was accused of wrongfully getting a white student expelled from her university over a “misheard” remark.
Zyanha Bryant, a community organizer and student activist studying at the University of Virginia, made the announcement she was a “Dove ambassador” on her Instagram page at the end of August, as she spoke about her goal of ending the stigma of being overweight.

But even though Bryant has been praised for her work with Black Lives Matter and getting the Robert E. Lee statue taken down in Charlottesville, she has also come under fire in recent months for her efforts to get a white student named Morgan Bettinger suspended from campus.
She claimed Bettinger referred to BLM protesters as “good speed bumps” in the summer of 2020 — only to later admit she may have “misheard” her.
The incident began in July 2020, when Bettinger mistakenly drove down a street where BLM protesters had gathered.
She told Reason magazine she saw a dump truck partially blocking the road, but because the street was not completely blocked off, she continued driving.
When she realized the road was actually being blocked off from traffic, Bettinger said, she decided to park her car and see what was going on.
As she passed by, Bettinger said, the truck driver began talking to her, and the two had a brief conversation.
Bettinger says she remembered telling the truck driver something along the lines of, “It’s a good thing that you are here because otherwise these people would have been speed bumps,” trying to praise his efforts to block traffic.
The driver later corroborated Bettinger’s remark to local cops.
But Bryant overheard part of the conversation and tweeted that she said the protesters “would make ‘good speedbumps’” along with a video showing Bettinger backing down the street in her car while Bryant and several other protesters follow.
“She then called the police and started crying, saying we were attacking her,” Bryant claimed.
The tweet was quickly shared more than a thousand times, and internet sleuths soon identified the driver as Bettinger.
The fact that she had pro-police social media posts, and her late father had worked as a police officer, only seemed to irritate people more, according to the Daily Mail.
Just one day later, Bryant began demanding that school administrators expel Bettinger.
“EMAIL these UVA deans now to demand that Morgan face consequences for her actions and that UVA stop graduating racists,” she tweeted.
Bryant herself filed a complaint with the University Judiciary Committee, a student-run disciplinary system, alleging Bettinger had threatened students’ health and safety.
It found Bettinger guilty of making a legitimate threat against the protesters, despite being unable to prove Bryant’s claims about her intentions.
The jurors ruled that even saying the words in a harmless manner during a protest merited punishment, according to documents obtained by Reason magazine.
Bryant also filed a complaint with the school’s Office for Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights, in which she claimed Bettinger repeated the statement five times and had discriminated against her due to her race.
The EOCR office found that three of the five accusations could not be corroborated, and a report found Bryant most likely did not hear Bettinger’s comments firsthand after no eyewitnesses were able to corroborate her version of events.
Bettinger eventually graduated from UVA but with a permanent mark on her record, Reason reported, likely hindering her chances of getting into law school as she had dreamed.
“This whole situation has had a huge impact on my life,” she told Reason magazine. “The university has never had to answer for what their actions have done.”
Bettinger is said to be considering bringing a lawsuit against school officials, seeking to get her record cleared.
None of what she is claiming is actionable. Even if this woman DID say something, it is not actionable. That’s because she has free speech. But, since she lied to the school and the police, she should be kicked out of school and arrested.
Of course, she won’t be because she’s black and fat. Instead she was profiled in the Washington Post and being named to Ebony’s “Power 100” list last year. Oh, yeah, and she was given a sponsorship by Dove.
It’s OK though. She’s morbidly obese and celebrates it. She will be incapacitated in a couple of years.
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Sunday granted an “absolute pardon” to the father who was arrested at a school board meeting after the superintendent lied about his daughter’s rape by a skirt-wearing boy.
The pardon says that in June 2021, Scott Smith “exercised his constitutional right to attend a public meeting of the Loudoun County School Board to observe the proceedings, during which time a community member threatened to spread false and malicious information about Mr. Smith’s business with the intent to damage his reputation.”
“After an ensuing verbal confrontation, Scott Thomas Smith was charged with Obstruction of Justice and Disorderly Conduct,” and Smith was quickly convicted, even though an appeals court later disqualified the prosecutor due to concerns about “the integrity of the prosecution,” the pardon continues.
“WHEREAS Scott Thomas Smith has been publicly and falsely accused of ‘domestic terrorism’ and ‘hate crimes’ for attempting to advocate for his daughter, a victim of sexual assault… I have decided it is just and appropriate to grant this ABSOLUTE PARDON that reflects Scott Thomas Smith’s factual innocence,” it concludes.
Smith’s story galvanized parents who were concerned that schools had sacrificed student safety and academic rigor for ideology. Youngkin’s pledge to be a voice for those parents helped usher him into office a month after The Daily Wire revealed Smith’s story.
Claims that “woke” Pentagon policies are fueling a massive U.S. military recruiting crisis are overblown – and the criticisms may only be making things worse, one expert said.
Peter Feaver, a Duke University professor and former member of the National Security Council during the Clinton and Bush administrations, said concerns over so-called “woke” policies have been blown out of proportion by politicians and critics. The main driver of the crisis are issues such as the current labor market and the shrinking pool of young Americans who are qualified to serve, he said.
“Because of drug use, obesity or health concerns, it’s just a smaller pool than it was even two years ago,” Feaver told Fox News Digital. “These are the big drivers.”
Feaver recently released a book titled “Thanks For Your Service,” which takes a deep dive into declining public confidence in the military. At the heart of that issue, Feaver said, is the politicization of the military by both parties. Feaver cited a Gallup poll released In July that showed public confidence in the military at 60%, noting that while that number compares favorably to other U.S. institutions, it represents a worrying trend for the military.
According to the poll, the 60% number has not been this low since 1997 and hasn’t been lower than 60% since 1988, when 58% of respondents expressed confidence in the military. Those lower numbers of the 1980s, which hovered between 50% and 63%, were during a particularly trying time in American foreign policy, Gallup noted, amid the Cold War and high-profile events such as the Iran hostage crisis.
Gallup recorded a number as high as 74% public confidence in the military as recently as 2018, but that number slid sharply in the wake of other high-profile events such as the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. The drop has been most pronounced among independents, with only 55% expressing confidence in the military in Gallup’s most recent polling – down from 73% as recently as 2019.
“On the margins, that’s going to make recruiting a little more difficult,” Feaver said.
Feaver argued that much of the blame for declining public confidence can be pinned on politics, including claims that the military has become “woke.”
That point seemingly aligns with the stance of Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, who told reporters earlier this year that critics of the military are damaging its image and playing a role in its recruiting woes.
Yeah, wokeness is part of the reason people aren’t joining the military. People join the military to get away from this.

The White House is threatening to veto House Republican legislation that would give the military’s junior enlisted troops a 30% raise next year.
“If the president were presented with H.R. 4365, he would veto it.,” the White House said in a press release addressing the proposed legislation Monday.
At issue is the Pentagon spending bill advanced by the House Appropriations Committee earlier this year and scheduled to be voted on by the full House this week.
It includes language that would ensure no member of the military would make less than the equivalent of $15 per hour during a 40-hour work week.
That seems reasonable, right? So why would the White House threaten veto the bill.
But the White House has pushed back against the bill, claiming in that release that its current language includes “partisan policy provisions with devastating consequences, including harming access to reproductive health care, threatening the health and safety of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI+) Americans, endangering marriage equality, hindering critical climate change initiatives and preventing the administration from promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.”

YouTube mom Ruby Franke accused her children of being abusers at a court hearing to determine where the children should be sheltered while she faces six charges of felony child abuse.
According to the Daily Mail, the 41-year-old claimed that one of her children began watching porn at three years old and that one had sexually abused a younger sibling for years, and eventually abused other family members and children in the neighborhood.
She claims that the child confessed in May to abusing 20 different people but was unable to prove any of the allegations. Based on the accusations, the judge said the child “will need to be placed in a home with no other children.”
At one moment during the hearing, an attorney in the public viewing area stood up and asked the judge to listen to the statement of one of the alleged victims’ mother who was in the courtroom. The judge said the details could be brought up at a later date when she denied the request.
Ruby Franke’s husband, through his lawyer, informed the press that “He’s been instructed by the court not to comment to the press. Out of respect for the children involved we have no comment.”
Franke is the creator of a YouTube channel called “8 Passengers,” which made her known for her strict parenting style. She was arrested on August 30 for alleged child abuse after police found two juvenile children at her home who “appeared to be emaciated and malnourished with open wounds and duct tape around extremities.”
The Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department in Washington County, Utah, said it had received a call from a dispatcher of a juvenile asking for food and water. “The conditions were so severe that they were seen by Santa Clara-Ivins EM and transported to a local area hospital,” its statement read.
After she and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt were arrested, Franke’s family appeared relieved. Her oldest daughter Shari, 20, said on social media, “Today has been a big day. Me and my family are so glad justice is being served.”
A baby boy’s eyes temporarily changed from dark brown to bright blue after receiving a common COVID-19 treatment.
The 6-month-old from Thailand was diagnosed with COVID-19 after suffering from a fever and a cough for a day, as detailed in a case published in the medical journal Frontiers in Pediatrics.
Shockingly, about 18 hours after beginning the medication, the child’s mother noticed that his dark brown eyes had turned bright blue.
The concerned mother contacted medical professionals and was instructed to stop the treatment immediately.
After about five days, the discoloration faded and the child’s cornea returned to its original color. The infant was examined by doctors, who found the cornea had cleared and lacked a bluish hue, while no blue pigment deposit was noted on the surface of the iris or the anterior lens capsule.
R&B singer Akon is hyping his centrally planned community in Senegal, the country of his childhood, promising that every African American who invests with him will become a millionaire. In addition, he says if they collectively leave the U.S. for Africa, they could do real damage to the country that has oppressed them so much.
The 50-year-old artist, whose real name is Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent much of his childhood in Senegal. Consequently, he is a big believer in Africa.
“If you’re coming from America or Europe or elsewhere in the diaspora and you feel that you want to visit Africa, we want Senegal to be your first stop,” Akon said in 2020 of the reported $6 billion project.
The “Angel” singer is so sure about Africa that he has planned the construction of a new city in Senegal. He launched his settlement in 2020 with the cooperation of the country of Senegal with the hopes of creating a high-tech community with an economy based on his “Akoin” cryptocurrency.
Akon — who has been repeatedly accused of mistreatingwomen and in 2008 was seen on video punching a female fan in the face — was recently heard selling his pan-African city idea on a podcast called REVOLT. During the show, the singer claimed that the African continent is the “holy grail” for black Americans because its people need “everything.”
He stated in a podcast:
“Africa is in a position where if African Americans take position now, every single African American would be a millionaire without even thinking twice because there’s nothing that’s not needed over there,” Akon said. “So, you guys come with the discipline, you guys come with the knowledge, you come with the resources.”
“We literally built America with our bare hands. Our labor, our sweat, our blood. But we’ve never — not only did we never get reparations for it, we never even got credit for it. We never even got recognized for it. And I think that’s what builds so much animosity and anger within our community itself, because we know how much our contribution is worth, but we never got our just due for what [sic] the contribution given.
“I mean, you name it. We’re leading in every single sector,” he told the podcast hosts. “Just imagine if we all just decided to just take all our bags, withdrew [sic] all our money, and go to Africa. Where would America be today? It would collapse overnight.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) laid out the evidence against President Joe Biden and accused the president of lying about his family’s foreign business dealings in a Tuesday letter to his colleagues detailing why he had launched an impeachment inquiry.
“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden lied to the American people about knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings,” McCarthy wrote in the letter.
The inquiry will be headed up by Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY), Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO).
Democrats have the typical reactions.
This is a waste of time.
This is a waste of money.
There is not evidence.
This is a deflection from Trump’s indictments.

This is a very risky move. There is a bare majority in the House and there’s no way to pass in the Senate. But an impeachment would be a great thing for the country. Yes, it is revenge for what they did for Trump. But it also has some real benefits. First, it lays out the evidence that is out there against Biden. And there is a lot of it. Witnesses, E-mails, text messages, voice mails and bank records. People are going to wonder where Biden got $20 million (which we already know).
Second, it does put the focus on Joe Biden. Trump needs to get out of the spotlight. We need to make this about Biden. The question is going to be whether the narcissist Trump will let Biden take the spotlight.
But leave it to Republicans to f- it up. There are a bunch of Republicans that are vocally against this, basically clutching defeat from the jaws of victory.

The FBI returned a Los Angeles woman’s life savings — money she was keeping to buy a house — after seizing it two years earlier with no explanation.
Despite never being charged with a crime, the FBI seized Linda Martin’s safe deposit box during a March 2021 raid through administrative forfeiture, a move that enables federal agencies to seize property without judicial involvement. She went years without explanation, but her $40,200 was returned in July after she filed a nationwide class action lawsuit with the Institute for Justice (IJ) in March 2023.
“I’m relieved to finally have my savings back, but it has been a confusing and frustrating process from the moment it was taken,” Martin said in a statement IJ released in July.
“I had to prove my innocence to keep my own money,” she added. “No one should be treated that way and I’m going to keep fighting so that others don’t suffer the same way I did.”
So much for, “innocent until proven guilty.”
Martin plans to continue pushing her position in federal court to “end of the FBI’s practice of sending unconstitutional forfeiture notices.” IJ hopes that the case will help others in similar situations across the nation.
She shouldn’t have to do this. It is already against the law to do this. It’s written into the Constitution.
In the statement, IJ accused the FBI of trying to “hurriedly” return the money “to avoid any accountability.”
Martin’s money was taken during a raid of a Beverly Hills-based safe deposit box company, U.S. Private Vaults, which later shut down and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to launder drug money. In total, about $86 million in cash and property in 1,400 customers’ safe deposit boxes were taken.
“They were just supposed to identify owners so they could claim their property,” IJ stated. “But the FBI instead acted on its months-old plan to search and try to forfeit the contents of any box worth more than $5,000.”

California may soon require judges to look at whether a parent goes along with a child’s “gender identity” during custody disputes, worrying advocates who say parents could lose custody if they don’t agree with a child’s claims to be transgender.
The Democrat-backed bill, AB 957, passed the State Assembly on Friday and the State Senate on Thursday. If signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom, the bill would require judges to consider whether a parent “affirms” a child’s “gender identity” among other factors during custody battles.
According to the bill, “the health, safety, and welfare of the child includes, among other comprehensive factors, a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity or gender expression. Affirmation includes a range of actions and will be unique for each child, but in every case must promote the child’s overall health and well-being.”
You can raise your kids as long as you raise them in adherence to the state. If the state believes in a lie, we all must believe in the lie.
Remember, 2+2=5. If you believe it equals four, you will be re-educated (tortured) until you believe it equals five. I think I read that someplace.

Democratic Virginia House of Delegates candidate Susanna Gibson blasted her opponents for engaging in “the worst gutter politics” after videos surfaced of her and her husband performing sex acts online for cash.
Gibson, a 40-year-old mother of two who is running in a hotly contested race to represent the state’s District 57, hosted several live webcam shows on the adult streaming website Chaturbate, the Washington Post revealed in a bombshell report Monday.
The nurse practitioner has since railed against her political opponents, accusing them of engaging in dirty politics.
She called the controversy “an illegal invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me.”
“My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they’re willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there’s no line they won’t cross to silence women when they speak up,” Gibson told CNN in a statement on Tuesday.
She is having sex on camera. She is asking people what they want to see. She is watching men jerk off while she is having sex. She is asking them for more money. Now, she is a victim?

The Biden administration’s announcement on Monday that it unlocked at least $6 billion — and as much as $16 billion, according to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, — in sanctions relief for Iran’s regime as part of prisoner swap deal unleashed a storm of criticism.
Cruz, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, along with others, fired back at the administration for its alleged secrecy surrounding the deal.
“President Biden has established a secret nuclear deal with the Iranian regime that is being kept from Congress and the American people. Today’s news confirms there has already been a side deal including a $6 billion ransom and the release of Iranian operatives,” Cruz wrote in a statement.
JOE BIDEN: “The Indian looks at John Wayne and points to the Union soldier and says, 'He's a lying, dog-faced pony soldier!' Well there's a lot of lying, dog-faced pony soldiers out there about global warming..”
This is coming to all of us if we do not stand up and stop it.

New Mexico Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham banned people from being able to carry guns in Albuquerque and the surrounding county for at least the next 30 days after a kid was killed during a road rage incident.
Grisham signed an executive order on Thursday declaring that gun violence was a public health emergency in the Democrat-controlled state.
On Friday, Grisham unilaterally suspended open and concealed carry laws in Albuquerque and the surrounding area. She said that she could further lengthen or renew her order — which was immediately slammed by many as being unconstitutional.
But that is not all. Her reasons are incredible. Here is her entire comment about the issue while she is being pressed hard on the subject:

This is the problem with emergency legislation. The people that make them think they have no limits, they can implement them for anything they conflate into an emergency (that’s what they are doing with climate change) and they never give back their power (we saw this with the China virus). By the way, there is nothing in the Constitution about emergency legislation.
Laws aren’t absolute? What’s the point of having them is we can just change them anytime we want? Finally, does that mean we can all change the laws we don’t like or is it just the people in charge? That doesn’t seem fair.
Of course this is all BS. Laws are absolute, that’s why there is a process to change laws. Slavery, voting rights for blacks and women and Jim Crow laws were all considered terrible. But we couldn’t just decide they no longer applied. They had to change those laws.
The Second Amendment is also very clear: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. In other words, the law states that politicians do not have the right to infringe on our right. PERIOD!
Safety is always an issue with freedom. We have to give up our guns to be safe. This is a straw man argument. There is no way for the government to guarantee out safety because safety cannot be guaranteed for anything. Who’s to say all those people she listed wouldn’t be alive if a good person didn’t have a gun and was able to use it against the bad guy with a gun?
What is the government going to do anyway? Most of the cases she mentioned were already susceptible to the current gun laws. A fourteen year old is not allowed to have a gun. He stole it. A crime was already committed. Felons are not allowed to have guns. They get them anyway. The crime has already been committed. Where was the government then when those crimes were committed?
It’s a cliché but it does apply. If it is criminal to have a gun, only criminals will have guns. And they will get them. Let us not forget, this is a broad who is for keeping criminals out of jail!
The backlash has been immense. Gun rights groups are suing. Citizens are protesting. Law enforcement is saying they will not enforce the law because it violates the Constitution. Some are calling for her to be impeached, kicked out of office and even arrested. Seem extreme? I don’t think so.
This dumb broad admitted she lied when she took her oath. It shouldn’t be a surprise coming from an atheist making an oath to God and country. But this is illegal because it is a form a perjury. There should be legal action taken.
That’s the last reason she should be kicked out of office. If she’s too stupid not to make a statement like this on television, she’s too stupid to be governor.
