Episode 940 – It Will Be An Entertaining Week!

The Democratic National Convention starts today in Chicago and the chaos has started. This is going to be an entertaining week.

Kamala Harris has released her economic policy and it is definitely something no one in history has tried before (I’m being sarcastic).

And it has been 30 days since Kamala Harris has become the nominee and she still has not been asked a question (sort of).

Just Something to Remember Before You Vote

Showing Her True Colors

Kamala had her big rally to announce her economic plans. We will get into those policies, but first, let’s get to actual rally itself.

  • This was in a high school gym in North Carolina.
  • Reports were that there were 109 people there. Seeing the media was directly in the line of sight, I believe the place was not crowded.
  • The audience looked like actors. The reacted to whatever Kamala said. They sat when she said, stood when they said and stopped themselves when they weren’t suppose to react.
  • The children were there also reacting joyfully to her economic plans. What does that happen?

So, it looked staged. That’s Kamala Harris. She’s a phony. She’s fake. She’s a liar. She’s a coward. Why shouldn’t her press conferences be any different.

So, what did Kamala Harris promise at this rally because this was suppose to be the release of her big economic plan. Guess what? Her plans are far more extreme than Biden’s and will do nothing but increase prices and create scarcity. In other words, this idea was right down the road of communism. We all saw how that worked out.

Here are her plans:

  • New housing.
    • Harris is calling for the construction of 3 million new housing units in her first four years in office. The Biden administration has previously called for the construction of 2 million new homes.
    • She wants to incentivize these new units with a tax break for builders who construct properties for first-time home buyers. She is also proposing a $40 billion fund to help local governments find solutions to the lack of housing supply. 
    • She said: “There’s a serious housing shortage. In many places, it’s too difficult to build, and it’s driving prices up. As president, I will work in partnership with industry to build the housing we need, both to rent and to buy. We will take down barriers and cut red tape, including at the state and local levels. And by the end of my first term, we will end America’s housing shortage by building 3 million new homes and rentals that are affordable for the middle class.” 
    • She also said: “Some corporate landlords, some of them, buy dozens if not hundreds of houses and apartments. Then they turn them around and rent them out at extremely high prices. And it can make it impossible then for regular people to buy or even rent a home.”
    • Harris will also propose providing Americans who have paid their rent on time for two years with up to $25,000 in down-payment assistance, with more support for first-generation homeowners. 
    • Couple of things with this:
      • Housing has gone up because of the policies of her and Joe’s administration!
      • The worst housing is in California. Her state! Caused by policies she supported!
      • Regulation is what is killing low income housing. Get rid of the regulations! Let the market take care of the crisis!
      • $25,000 for new homeowners? Where’s that money coming from? What is going to happen to housing prices when sellers know the government is going to give them money? What about the credit of the new buyers?
    • Housing is a privilege, not a right.
  • Expansion of Child Tax Credit.
    • Harris is also proposing an expansion of the Child Tax Credit to provide a $6,000 tax cut to families with newborns.
    • GOP vice presidential nominee and Ohio Sen. JD Vance has proposed a similar but more general $5,000 Child Tax Credit expansion. So she’s just copying another Republican policy.
    • I have no problem with this but it is insincere. This is a woman that want you to be able to abort your kid when he’s 15 years old.
    • How about lowering all taxes.
  • Addressing inflation by putting caps on products and services.. She calls it “ending price gouging”.
    • There is no price gouging.
    • There is no grocery store owners going into a room and colluding to raise prices.
    • All this is already illegal.
    • There is simply too much money chasing to few goods and that is causing inflation.
    • I have some questions though: Why is all this gouging now? Why didn’t it happen before the Biden/Harris administration?
    • By the way, price caps have been done before. Every communist and socialist country, including this one, has done price controls and all it has done is create scarcity.
    • The reason we are going through an insulin shortage is because of price controls established under the Biden/Harris administration.
  • Eliminating taxes on tips.
    • We addresses this already.

This is basically a socialist checklist.

Episode 939 – It Is Time for a New Emergency!

I don’t know what’s going on in Australia but they seem to be in the lead when in comes to the culture. We have another story from Australia.

The election is coming which means it’s time to find another disease that will shut everything down.

These People Need Bigger Problems

According to the New York Post:

An Australian school community has been left outraged after a cherished crossing guard was banned from high-fiving student following a parent complaint about the innocent gesture.

Students of Mount Dandenong Primary School in Greater Melbourne will no longer receive high fives from their beloved crossing supervisor, John Goulden, during drop off and pick up after he was reprimanded by Yarra Ranges Council.

Goulden, who was recently crowned one of Victoria’s top crossing supervisors, has been warned by the council against “initiating unnecessary physical contact” with the children.

Outraged parents have rallied behind the cherished lollipop man, with one beginning a petition to have the ban removed.

Parent and petition organizer Rohan Bradley said Goulden has an “infectious joy that leaves a lasting impression on students and parents.”

“His high fives in the morning and afternoon have become a tradition that many children look forward to, a small gesture that symbolizes the warmth and friendliness of our unique community,” he said.

Here We Go Again

It’s election time again! That means we need to have the disease of the year to shut down the economies so that the globalist communists can win their election.

In the U.S, there have been 1,634 cases of mpox reported so far this year, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

That’s more than double the number of national cases seen at the same time last year but significantly lower than those seen during a U.S. mpox outbreak in 2022, CDC data shows.

PHEICs were most recently declared for the COVID-19 pandemic and the previous mpox outbreak of 2022.

Although mpox is endemic to parts of Central and Western Africa, cases have been rising dramatically in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

This year, there have already been more than 14,000 mpox cases and 524 deaths reported in the DRC, according to the WHO.

Some things:

  • Mpox used to be Monkey Pox but the name had to be changed. Not because the disease was first seen in monkeys, which it was, but because it is racist against blacks (for some reason).
  • Mpox is primarily spread through sexual contact with multiple partners. It became very common in the gay and bisexual community because of the free love these folks promote.
  • 584 deaths out of 14,000 (less than 4%) is not real high.
  • In the United States, in two years (2022-2024) there have been 32,063 with 58 deaths (.18%). That’s in the vicinity of chicken pox.
  • I think we can have standard elections without worrying about M-pox.

According to the New York Post:

Vice President Harris’ presidential campaign admitted Friday that her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz “misspoke” about his past military service as a growing chorus of critics accuse him of “stolen valor.”

“Governor Walz would never insult or undermine any American’s service to this country — in fact, he thanks Senator Vance for putting his life on the line for our country. It’s the American way,” Team Harris said in a statement to NBC News Friday.

“In making the case for why weapons of war should never be on our streets or in our classrooms, the Governor misspoke. He did handle weapons of war and believes strongly that only military members trained to carry those deadly weapons should have access to them, unlike Donald Trump and JD Vance who prioritize the gun lobby over our children.”

Walz had been facing pressure to clarify his military record after a 2018 video surfaced of him touting his career in the National Guard as a reason for increased gun control.

According to the New York Post:

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign team has been quietly editing news headlines in Google search ads to make it seem like major news outlets are on her side, according to a report.

The altered headlines — appearing on Google ads and paired with a “Paid for by Harris for President” banner — were changed without the news outlets’ knowledge, Axios reported Tuesday.

Nearly a dozen publishers were swept up in the faux headline campaign, including major companies like the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News, the Associated Press and PBS.

Even smaller publications like North Dakota’s WDay Radio also saw their headlines changed.

The ads include links to real articles from news outlets, but the headlines and descriptive text had been edited to cast a supportive light on the 59-year-old presidential hopeful.

For example, one ad that ran alongside an article from the Guardian shows a headline that reads “VP Harris Fights Abortion Bans – Harris Defends Repro Freedom” and includes supporting text underneath the headline that reads, “VP Harris is a champion for reproductive freedom and will stop Trump’s abortion bans.”

Another linking to an NPR story reads, “Harris Will Lower Health Costs,” with supporting text that says, “Kamala Harris will lower the cost of high-quality affordable health care,” Axios reported.

Spokespeople from the affected companies like CNN, USA Today and NPR — all of which have published flattering content about Harris in recent weeks — said they had no idea the companies were tied up in the campaign.

Legal action is being prepared against the Biden-Harris administration after whistleblowers revealed that former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was subjected to increased travel surveillance and placed on a terror watchlist by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) because of her political views. Gabbard is a veteran of the US Armed Forces, a former congresswoman from Hawaii, and has run for president, seeking the 2020 Democrat nomination for president.

Jordan Sekulow, Executive Director of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) said in a statement that the Biden-Harris administration is “once again unconstitutionally targeting conservatives for their political views.”

He added, “This alarming abuse of power represents yet another example of government overreach and the erosion of our constitutional rights. We are preparing major legal action against the Biden-Harris Deep State over this unconstitutional targeting of an American for her political speech.”

Sekulow noted that Gabbard is a combat veteran “who has served our country honorably and still serves as an officer in the Army Reserves. Despite the fact that the military finds her fit to serve, whistleblowers report that she has been subjected to additional screening and harassment by the Biden-Harris Administration at airports across the nation.”

Several Federal Air Marshal whistleblowers alleged that Gabbard was put into the TSA’s “Quiet Skies” program, a surveillance program with its own “compartmentalized suspected terrorist watchlist.”

Everyone is Against Them

According to Fox News:

Former President Trump’s campaign confirmed to Fox News on Saturday that some of its internal communications were hacked. 

Liberal media outlet Politico had reached out to the campaign after the news outlet started receiving internal Trump documents. 

“These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process,” said Steven Cheung, communications director for the Trump campaign.

“On Friday, a new report from Microsoft found that Iranian hackers broke into the account of a ‘high ranking official’ on the U.S. presidential campaign in June 2024, which coincides with the close timing of President Trump’s selection of a Vice Presidential nominee,” he added. 

Cheung noted that the hack allegedly by Iran came, “after recent reports of an Iranian plot to assassinate President Trump around the same time as the Butler, PA tragedy.”

He added: “The Iranians know that President Trump will stop their reign of terror just like he did in his first four years in the White House. Any media or news outlet reprinting documents or internal communications are doing the bidding of America’s enemies and doing exactly what they want.”

The documents sent to Politico included a 271-page “dossier” the Trump campaign had put together on his eventual running mate Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, that dated back to February, the outlet said. 

It included Vance’s past stances on issues, statements and previous criticisms of Trump in a section called “POTENTIAL VULNERABILITIES.”

The Trump campaign didn’t say if they had contacted law enforcement over the hacking.

The AP reported:

 Vice President Kamala Harris promised Saturday to work to eliminate taxes on tips paid to restaurant and other service industry employees, echoing a pledge that her opponent, Republican Donald Trump, has made, and marking a rare instance of political overlap from both sides.

Harris made the announcement at a rally on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where the economy relies heavily on the hotel, restaurant and entertainment industries. Trump vowed essentially the same thing at his own rally in the city in June — though neither he nor Harris are likely to be able to fully do that without actions from Congress.

“It is my promise to everyone here that, when I am president, we will continue our fight for working families of America,” Harris said. “Including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.”

But leave it to right wing media to pour a little water on this exciting news. The Daily Wire reported:

The Biden administration announced a new program to “improve tip reporting compliance” to the IRS more than a year before Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign promised to eliminate tip taxes.

The IRS and Treasury departments introduced a new tip reporting program last year called the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) program. The stated goal of the program is to “improve tip reporting compliance.”

“The proposed SITCA program is designed to take advantage of advancements in point-of-sale, time and attendance systems, and electronic payment settlement methods to improve tip reporting compliance,” the IRS stated in a February 2023 announcement. “The proposed program would also decrease taxpayer and IRS administrative burdens and provide more transparency and certainty to taxpayers.”

The program is currently optional for employers to enroll, but the program’s intent is to become the “sole tip reporting compliance program for employers in various service industries” and eliminate several other tip reporting processes, according to the IRS.

The White House and Joe Biden are also in on this tip thing. Here is KJP stating that in yesterday’s press conference:

I just want to point out on February 7, 2023, Joe Biden announced a plan to crack down on tips by using the IRS to increase the taxation. So instead of taxing tips, they were just going to raise taxes on those who work for tips.

Australia decides to go down the road of modesty.

Of all places, it is Australia that is calling for some modesty while at the beach.

According to the New York Post:

There are fresh calls for G-string bikinis to be banned after thousands of Australians weighed in on the controversial swimwear item, with many declaring the garment “offensive” and “too revealing” for public places.

The skimpy cossie, which puts the wearer’s bottom on full display, has copped a barrage of criticism since it became a cult fashion trend in recent years.

In fact, some hate the racy bikini bottoms so much, they’ve called on local authorities to ban G-string bikinis on Aussie beaches â€“ a move many described as “policing women’s bodies”.

Now the topic has been ignited once again, after a post on the popular Meanwhile in Australia Facebook group asked: “Should G-string bikinis be banned in water parks?”

The question was posed alongside an image of a woman wearing a pink micro bikini while taking a photo of her boyfriend in front of an orange slide.

It asked for Aussies to give the photo a thumbs up to vote “yes” on a ban, while those who were happy for water park goers to rock a G-string could click on the laughing face emoji to vote for “no”.

People responded in the thousands to the image, with more than 7000 voting against a ban on G-strings in public places.

But not far behind with 6600 votes, were those who believed the item was “inappropriate”, many of whom voiced their bikini concerns in the comments section.

“What kids have see at the beach and theme parks, at such young ages, these days is ridiculous,” one scoffed.

Later in the article:

Women protested against calls to ban G-string bikinis on the Gold Coast in February after a local resident claimed women and girls who wear them to the beach are “cheapening themselves”.

Youth Music Venture festival founder Ian Grace said the skimpy swimwear, which he said made him “uncomfortable”, in a letter that quickly went viral.

But his plea was widely blasted as “sexist”.

Outspoken personality Abbie Chatfield later described it as “policing women’s bodies”.

President Trump has been speaking for over an hour to over a million people about his winning agenda for the American people. Kamala is BIG MAD about this as she refuses to speak to the media, do an interview, or even explain what platform she is even running on. So pathetic.

Some things:

  • It was a good, friendly interview. Not adversarial.
  • This was good Trump. It personalized him and he did not look like what the media has been portraying him as.
  • He should do more of these. He should go on Joe Rogan and even The Breakfast Club with Charlamagne Tha God.

According to the New York Post:

London’s Metropolitan Police chief warned that officials will not only be cracking down on British citizens for commentary on the riots in the UK, but on American citizens as well.

“We will throw the full force of the law at people. And whether you’re in this country committing crimes on the streets or committing crimes from further afield online, we will come after you,” Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley told Sky News.

Riots have broken out across the United Kingdom in recent days over false rumors spread online that an asylum seeker was responsible for a mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event that left three girls dead and others wounded.

The murders, allegedly committed by a now 18-year-old British citizen born to Rwandan parents, sparked a series of violent protests that tapped into broader concerns about the scale of immigration in the U.K.

Footage of the violent clashes involving anti-immigration protesters and the groups of counter-protesters, some of whom have been seen waving Palestinian flags, has gone viral on social media, and the government is warning that sharing such content may have serious consequences.

One key aspect that makes this apparent crackdown on social media  particularly shocking to critics is that the British government is threatening to extradite American citizens from the U.S. to be jailed in the U.K. for violating their rules about political speech online.

Episode 936 – These People Shouldn’t Vote!

The Olympics are finally over. Let’s go over how they went. Hint, it wasn’t great.

The world is on fire and Joe Biden is sleeping on a beach in Delaware? WTF is going on in our government?!

And it has been 23 days and Kamala Harris has still not answered any questions.

They Are Finally Over

The Olympics are finally over and they went out with a bang. It might be the very end of the Olympics:

  • First we had the mockery of of Christianity by trannies re-enacting the last supper.
  • Steven van de Velde, a volleyball player from the Netherlands, served 13 months in prison for having sex with a 12-year old when he was 19 years old.
  • You had two men win gold medals in women’s boxing.
  • You had the gymnastics all around medal list given to all black women, apparently taking a medal away from a white woman through a mistaken violation call.
  • And the closing ceremonies insulted Christians again with a Satanic performance.

Well, not many people are watching. According to the AP:

But according to the poll, 30% of respondents said they will not watch any of the Games, 34% said they will not watch much and 35% said they would watch at least a fair amount. That last figure is down from the 48% measured before the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gallup did not measure viewing intentions for the Tokyo Olympics, which were delayed a year.

Yeah, they are done.

  • He is pro-drug legalization.

  • He is a pro teacher union simp. He does not believe in merit-based salaries for teachers.
  • He’s pro-gender affirming care and does not believe in teacher notifying parents for trans-ing of kids.
  • He is a gun control advocate. He believes in universal background checks, a national database and gun buybacks.
  • He is pro illegal alien. He signed a bill into law giving illegal aliens driver’s licenses.
  • He is up and down on Israel, but believes in a permanent ceasefire.

What Are They Going to Do?

According to the Daily Wire:

Several U.S. personnel were injured in an attack on Al-Asad airbase in Iraq late on Monday that was reportedly carried out by an Iranian-backed terrorist group.

“We can confirm that there was a suspected rocket attack today against U.S. and Coalition forces at Al Asad Airbase, Iraq,” U.S. officials said in a statement. “Initial indications are that several U.S. personnel were injured. Base personnel are conducting a post-attack damage assessment.”

The official said that more updates will follow as new information becomes available.

The attack was reportedly carried out by one of Iran’s terrorist proxy groups, the same terror groups that have launched more than 200 attacks against U.S. forces in the region following Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

Charles Lister, director of the Syria program of the Washington-based Middle East Institute think tank, wrote on X: “Today’s rocket attack on Ain al-Asad was the 219th attack by Iran’s proxies on U.S. forces in Syria & Iraq since Oct 2023.”

He added that 6 attacks have happened in the last three weeks.

There were also reports that media linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Crops (IRGC) said that the attack was carried out by one of their proxies.

The attack comes as Iran is expected to launch an attack on Israel in the coming days in response to the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh last week in Tehran. Various reports have indicated that Iranian-backed terrorist groups in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq may participate in the attack.

Never before seen footage showing a Planned Parenthood employee appearing to discuss the sale of aborted babies’ body parts was released Tuesday, years after now-Vice President Kamala Harris seized the footage as Attorney General of California.

The five-minute video shows a conversation between a person identified as Dr. Stacy De-Lin, Planned Parenthood New York City Medical Director for Abortion Services, and an undercover reporter with the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). During their conversation, De-Lin seems to acknowledge that Planned Parenthood would sell the livers of aborted babies.

In one clip, De-Lin is told by a CMP investigator that she “could pay you $1,000, up to $1,500 for a liver.”

“Yeah, that’s great,” De-Lin responds. “I think a financial incentive from you guys like, to the people we have to get this approved from, will be very happy about it,” according to the video shared by CMP.

Internal Revenue Service employees and contractors owe a collective $50 million in back taxes, a new audit by the Treasury Department’s inspector general found.

Of the more than 3,800 IRS employees who owe back taxes, 2,000 have not even established a payment plan. More than 50 of these delinquent employees have remained employed by the IRS for five years or more. All told, nearly 150,000 federal employees failed to pay their taxes, owing a combined $1.5 billion.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), who requested the audit, says IRS employees’ failure to pay taxes is particularly galling, considering the $80 billion the Inflation Reduction Act allotted to expand the agency’s audit capacity.

“Surely the irony and hypocrisy can’t be missed here: taxpayers are being forced to pay billions more to the IRS to audit America while the agency won’t even collect the tens of millions of dollars in unpaid taxes owed by its employees,” Ernst said.

    • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) paused the program that allows up to 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV) to come into the U.S. each month under the Biden-Harris Administration’s use of parole, which some critics have said is illegal.
    • Part of the internal report “showed that 100,948 forms were filled out by 3,218 serial sponsors — those whose number appears on 20 or more forms. It also found that 24 of the 1,000 most used numbers belonged to a dead person. Meanwhile, 100 physical addresses were used between 124 and 739 times on over 19,000 forms. Those addresses included storage units. One sponsor phone number was submitted on over 2,000 forms, and there were 2,839 forms with non-existent sponsor zip codes, according to the leak.”
  • The Biden-Harris Administration canceled a stunning plea deal that was signed this week with the terrorists who were responsible for the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States — and relieved the senior U.S. official who offered the deal.

The jobs number came out and they are very bad. In fact, it looks like they are probably worse than the report is stating.

Here are the details:

  • The Labor Department reported Friday that employers added 114,000 jobs in July, missing the 175,000 gain forecast by LSEG economists.
  • The unemployment rate also unexpectedly inched higher to 4.3% against expectations that it would hold steady at 4.1%. 
  • Stock futures plunged as the report reignited fears of an impending recession, with Dow futures shedding more than 500 points. 
  • That’s because the rise in unemployment triggered the so-called Sahm Rule, an indicator that is used to provide an early recession signal. The rule stipulates that a recession is likely when the three-month moving average of the jobless rate is at least a half-percentage point higher than the 12-month low. 
  • Investors are now increasingly betting on the odds of a 50-basis point cut in September amid signs that job growth is deteriorating.
  • Health care continued to lead the way in job creation, onboarding 55,000 new workers in July. Other sectors showing notable growth included construction (25,000), the government (17,000) and transportation and warehousing (14,000). 63% of the jobs created are funded jobs.
  • It gets worse. The report also showed modest revisions. Job gains for June were revised down by a total of 27,000 jobs to 179,000, the government said, while May’s gain also came in slightly lower at 216,000 jobs.
  • 10 of the last 14 jobs reports have revised. In other words, the government has been f-ing with the reports.

This really bad news and Kamala Harris is going to have to respond to this. She’s going to have to justify it and say what she is going to do that is different.

“Now, he’s promising even more damage with a Project 2025 agenda that will decimate the middle class and increase taxes on working families, while ripping away health care, raising prescription drug costs, and cutting Social Security and Medicare — all while making his billionaire donors richer.” 

Singer added: “We’ve made significant progress, but Vice President Harris knows there’s more work to do to lower costs for families.” 

Singer said Harris “will make building up the middle class the defining goal of her presidency, taking on greedy corporations that are price gouging consumers, banning hidden fees, and capping unfair rent increases and drug costs.”

Episode 933 – Excuse Me If I’m Wary of This Deal

Russia and the United States make a deal to free a couple of American hostages. I’m not all that confident it’s going to be a good deal.

Once again, terrorists are treated better than they deserve. I don’t understand any of this.

I Wary of this Deal

According to the Washington Examiner:

Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and former United States Marine Paul Whelan were released from Russian custody in a major prisoner swap.

Bloomberg confirmed Gershkovich’s and Whelan’s release on Thursday, though the details of the agreement, including who else is being released, remain largely unknown and could include countries outside the U.S. and Russia. 

The State Department had previously classified Whelan and Gershkovich as “wrongfully detained,” which is a legal definition given to Americans who the government believes were detained by a state or nonstate actor with the intent to use as leverage in negotiations. There are several Americans in Russian prisons without that designation who may or may not be included in the deal.

Whelan was arrested in 2018 on espionage charges that he and the U.S. government vehemently denied. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2020 and has served about a fourth of his sentence. Gershkovich was arrested in the spring of 2023 on similar charges, which he, his employer, and the U.S. disputed, and he, too, was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The release had been rumored on Wednesday in a report from the Moscow Times, which said that up to 20 to 30 people may be released. Other names floated were Vladimir Kara-Murza, Oleg Orlov, Lilia Chanysheva, and former Moscow city councilman Ilya Yashin.

It was not made immediately clear which Russians were released in exchange, but the Russian outlet RIA reported the names Alexander Vinnik, Maxim Marchenko, Vadim Konoshchenok, and Vladislav Klyushin had disappeared from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons database.

The exchange was the first since December 2022, when basketball player Brittney Griner was exchanged for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout. The Biden administration also agreed to a swap with Russia earlier that year to give up Konstantin Yaroshenko to secure the release of Trevor Reed.

A union representing New York City firefighters says its rank and file are “disgusted and disappointed” with the plea deal sparing alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammad and two other terrorists from the death penalty. 

The Department of Defense announced Wednesday that it has entered pretrial agreements with Mohammad, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, who each are awaiting trial at GuantĂĄnamo Bay. 

“In exchange for removal of the death penalty as a possible punishment, these three Accused have agreed to plead guilty to all of the charged offenses, including the murder of the 2,976 people listed in the charge sheet,” Rear Adm. Aaron Rugh, the chief prosecutor for the Office of Military Commissions, wrote in a letter sent yesterday to families of victims of the 9/11 attacks, according to the New York Post. 

“On behalf of New York City firefighters, especially the survivors of the September 11th terrorist attack who are living with the illnesses and injuries that were inflicted upon us that day, we are disgusted and disappointed that these three terrorists were given a plea deal and allowed to escape the ultimate justice while each month three more heroes from the FDNY are dying from World Trade Center illnesses,” FDNY Uniformed Firefighters Association President Andrew Ansbro said in a statement Thursday. 

The Office of Military Commissions did not immediately respond to a request from Fox News Digital this morning. 

The president of the group 9/11 Justice, which describes itself as “a grassroots movement of families of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks,” also said Thursday that “We are deeply troubled by these plea deals.”

“While we acknowledge the decision to avoid the death penalty, our primary concern remains access to these individuals for information,” 9/11 Justice President Brett Eagleson said. “These plea deals should not perpetuate a system of closed-door agreements, where crucial information is hidden without giving the families of the victims the chance to learn the full truth.”

The defendants are accused of providing training, financial support and other assistance to the 19 terrorists who hijacked passenger jets and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 11, 2001. 

The attacks killed nearly 3,000 people in the worst terror attack on U.S. soil in American history. 

The three men, along with Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Ramzi Bin al Shibh, were initially charged jointly and arraigned on June 5, 2008, and then were again charged jointly and arraigned a second time on May 5, 2012, in connection with their alleged roles in the attacks, the Department of Defense says.

They are slated to be sentenced in GuantĂĄnamo Bay on Aug. 5

An Algerian boxer who was deemed to have male chromosomes won a fight in the 66-kilogram women’s division at the Paris Olympics on Thursday.

Imane Khelif defeated Italy’s Angela Carini after Carini abandoned her match. The fight lasted all of 46 seconds before Carini went to her cornermen to call off the fight.

Khelif celebrated the win while Carini was left in tears. After the fight Carini, was heard yelling to hear coaches in Italian questioning the fairness of the bout.

She then broke her silence about why she abandoned the match.

“I got into the ring to fight,” she said, via Italy’s ANSA. “I didn’t give up, but one punch hurt too much and so I said enough.

“I’m going out with my head held high.”

Khelif was disqualified during the 2023 World Championships, sanctioned by the International Boxing Association. The organization said Khelif, and Taiwan’s Lin Yu-Ting failed to meet gender eligibility standards.

    • Israeli Air Force fighter jets conducted the strike on Fuad Shukr in Beirut after the Iranian-backed terrorist group murdered 12 children in northern Israel over the weekend in a rocket attack.
    • The IDF said that Shukr was Hezbollah’s “most senior military commander and the head of its Strategic Unit” and Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah’s “right-hand man” and was his “adviser for planning and directing wartime operations.”
    • Shukr was responsible for directing all of Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel since Hamas’ unprecedented October 7 terrorist attack
  • The Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, announced on Tuesday night that Ismail Haniyeh, the top leader of Hamas, was targeted and killed inside of Iran.
    • Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said that Haniyeh was killed in the country’s capital city of Tehran, where he was attending the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
    • While it’s not immediately clear who killed Haniyeh, it was publicly known that Israel was hunting down all Hamas officials, including its top leaders who live on foreign soil, following the October 7 massacre.
  • Criticism is mounting against Venezuela’s authoritarian leader NicolĂĄs Maduro after protests erupted across the country on Monday over this weekend’s disputed presidential election.
    • At least six people died during the protests against the presidential election results, where Maduro was announced the winner by the country’s electoral commission.
    • Venezuelan authorities say more than 700 people were detained in the protests. An important opposition figure was allegedly kidnapped, according to his supporters, while the country’s army, which has long backed Maduro, reaffirmed their support of the strongman.
  • Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) confronted acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe on Tuesday about firing personnel over the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
  • Facebook acknowledged that it mistakenly censored the iconic image of former President Donald Trump with his fist raised in the immediate aftermath of the July 13 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
    • A post on Mark Zuckerberg’s social media site by a user with the handle End Wokeness that showed the Republican presidential candidate defiantly pumping his fist in the air while blood streams down his face had initially been flagged as misinformation.
    • The user was threatened with being deplatformed.
    • However, on Monday, Dani Lever, a spokesperson for the social network’s parent company, Meta, admitted the tech giant made a “mistake.”

Polish journalist and sports commentator Przemyslaw Babiarz has been suspended from the Paris Olympics after labeling John Lennon’s “Imagine” a “vision of communism.”

During the 2024 Olympics, the famed song — written by the late Beatle — was sung by French singer Juliette Armanet at the opening ceremony that took place on the Seine River in Paris on Friday.

While it was playing, the Polish state broadcaster said on air, “This is a vision of communism, unfortunately,” 

The comments immediately triggered a reaction for those watching in Poland, ABC News reported.

The public broadcaster Babiarz works for in Warsaw, TVP, later issued a statement that made it clear the well known commentator would not be commenting on air from Paris about any more from the summer Olympic games.

“Mutual understanding, tolerance, reconciliation — these are not only the basic Olympic ideas, they are also the basis for the standards that guide the new Telewizja Polska (Polish Television),’” the statement read, per ABC News.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk removed the former TVP management after he took power in December, and replaced it, Yahoo.com noted. Prior to Tusk’ the TVP was criticized as the mouthpiece of the national-conservative PiS government, 

Conservative President Andrzej Duda and former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki blasted the move by TVP, the outlet noted.

“The truth will defend itself! Your actions will be remembered and censorship will fail,” Morawiecki wrote on X.

In a hotly contested and controversial presidential election in Venezuela on Sunday night, both the incumbent, Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro, and the opposition nominee, Democratic Unitary Platform candidate Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, declared victory.

Venezuela’s National Electoral Council declared Maduro the winner on Sunday night, saying he won more than 51% of the vote, according to multiple reports. However, numerous exit polls revealed that Gonzalez should have won. The election received significant attention and scrutiny as the world’s leaders watched the South American nation’s election with great interest.

Previous communiques from the State Department labeled Maduro a corrupt dictator of an illegitimate regime in Venezuela. Many leaders expressed skepticism over Maduro’s victory, CNN reported, concerned that it was a rigged election and the latest attempt by Maduro to remain in power despite strong opposition to his administration. Moreover, the opposition party said that polls showed that Maduro should have lost the election and lost in considerable fashion.

Maria Corina Machado, a former presidential candidate disqualified for 15 years in what many considered to be a corrupt act by Maduro’s regime, is the de facto leader of Venezuela’s opposition party. In a news conference on Sunday, Machado said that the party’s records revealed Maduro losing in a landslide, with 70% of the votes supposedly going to Gonzalez and only 30% to Maduro. Recent polls before the election showed that Maduro was trailing by over 20 percentage points in the polls. 

Machado vowed the opposition would keep fighting and “defend the truth.”

Gonzalez echoed Machado’s sentiments, saying Maduro’s victory was fraudulent and that Maduro violated many rules. 

After declaring victory, Maduro appeared at Venezuela’s presidential palace to address supporters, Reuters reported. He denied any wrongdoing, said the country’s election process was honest and transparent, and deemed his victory â€œa triumph of peace and stability.”

What IS Wrong with These Guys?

According to the New York Post:

Two astronauts stranded in space for 49 days — 41 days longer than their planned mission — because their Boeing-built ride home is full of leaks will have to spend at least a few more weeks aboard the International Space Station, officials said Thursday. 

Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were meant to spend just eight days in space following their launch aboard the Boeing Starliner â€” the maiden crewed voyage for the spacecraft. 

Once in space, astronauts found a series of concerning helium leaks and have been testing whether the ship can be used to return them to Earth.

Now they’re expected to stay in orbit until sometime in August, Steve Stich, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program manager, told reporters.

Before the astronauts can come home, NASA and Boeing experts said they need to complete a final set of tests for Starliner’s thrusters scheduled for this weekend.

Should the thruster tests prove successful and the helium leaks continue to remain stable, NASA would schedule an agency review next week, which would then set an official date for Wilmore and Williams’ return. 

“The prime intent is still to return Butch and Suni aboard Starliner,” Stich added.  

Mark Nappi, manager of the Boeing Starliner program, said the company ultimately regrets announcing that Wilmore and Williams’ mission would be eight days, as the delays have garnered backlash against the troubled aerospace giant. 

“My regret is that we didn’t say we would stay up there until the mission is complete, but I’m very confident we have a good vehicle to bring the crew back,” Nappi said.

Harvard University has canceled a summer program with a Palestinian university whose faculty and students have endorsed and collaborated with Hamas and other terror groups, a spokesman told The Daily Wire.

Birzeit University, which called for “glory for the martyrs” after Hamas’s October 7 terrorist massacre in Israel, was slated to host Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s “Palestine Social Medicine Course” from July to August. But the school has moved the program to Jordan, a spokesman told The Daily Wire, “due to security concerns in the West Bank.”

According to the program’s website, the “three-week intensive summer course is designed to introduce students to the social, structural, political, and historical aspects that determine Palestinian health beyond the biological basis of disease.” 

The program kicks off this week and ends August 17.

Students on the trip will learn from health practitioners, academics, and activists about topics including “Settler colonialism and its manifestations in Palestine” and “Health and racism,” the website states.

  • A drag queen who was one of the many torchbearers for the Paris Olympics had a message for the critics amid uproar over the opening ceremony which appeared to mock the Last Supper.
    • Nicky Doll was among the drag queens to carry the torch of the Olympic flame but also performed during one segment of the ceremony. Doll reposted an image on his Instagram Stories, claiming the image depicted was not of the Last Supper but the feast of Dionysius.

According to the Washington Examiner:

President Joe Biden unveiled his plan for “three bold reforms” for the Supreme Court on Monday in an alleged attempt to “restore trust and accountability to the court and our democracy.”

Biden argued for his points of reforming the high court and reversing a recent decision made by the court in an opinion piece in the Washington Post. The president, who served in the Senate from 1973 to 2009, argued for term limits, a reformed Supreme Court ethics code, and wiping away immunity for the president for any acts.

“What is happening now is not normal, and it undermines the public’s confidence in the court’s decisions, including those impacting personal freedoms,” Biden wrote. “We now stand in a breach.”

Biden’s first proposal calls for a constitutional amendment, titled the “No One Is Above the Law Amendment,” which would “make clear that there is no immunity for crimes a former president committed while in office.”

The amendment would reverse a recent Supreme Court decision determining the president is immune from prosecution for official acts, but not unofficial acts, committed while in the White House. It would require approval from two-thirds of both chambers of Congress and ratification from three-fourths of states to pass, making it highly unlikely.

Biden also proposed term limits on the Supreme Court, suggesting 18-year terms so that a new justice may be appointed every two years.

“Term limits would help ensure that the court’s membership changes with some regularity. That would make timing for court nominations more predictable and less arbitrary. It would reduce the chance that any single presidency radically alters the makeup of the court for generations to come,” Biden wrote.

Under his 3 1/2 years in the White House, Biden has only had the chance to nominate one justice to the Supreme Court, while his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, had three appointments.

The presidency is limited to two full terms, or 10 years total, under the 22nd Amendment, while Congress and the Supreme Court have no term limits.

Biden also called the current ethics code “weak and self-enforced” while calling for a stronger ethics code that would make justices “required to disclose gifts, refrain from public political activity and recuse themselves from cases in which they or their spouses have financial or other conflicts of interest.”

Biden wrote that “we can and must prevent the abuse of presidential power,” along with restoring “the public’s faith in the Supreme Court.”

“In America, no one is above the law,” he wrote. “In America, the people rule.”

Biden has been at odds with the Supreme Court for his entire presidency, as the Republican-appointed majority court has struck down several of his actions as unconstitutional, such as his student loan plan and his attempted COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The high court’s decisions overturning Roe v. Wade and affirmative action also angered Biden, among other opinions delivered.

The plan formulated by the president has garnered criticism over separation-of-powers problems. With less than six months remaining in Biden’s presidency and a divided Congress, it is unlikely any of the proposed efforts will see congressional approval.
