Episode 458 – The Arguments

We went through the Mississippi 15-week abortion limits, Roe versus Wade and Planned Parenthood versus Casey. Now, let’s look at the arguments from this week’s Dobbs versus Jackson’s Women Health Organization.

 

The Arguments

I struggled to figure out how to format this whole thing and I decided to focus on the arguments of the lawyers rather than all of the questions from the Justices, though we will look at a couple of the questions and comments. This is because we can get an idea on how they are going to rule and we can see who is an activist on the court and who is actually looking at the precedents.

Now, please understand something. I am biased. I am very anti-abortion.

 

Argument to Overturn Roe and Casey

The lawyer arguing for the Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks is the Mississippi Solicitor General, Scott Stuart. Let’s listen to his opening:

Some things:

  1. The statements in the beginning where he says the damage that Roe and Casey have done are correct though they aren’t the first cases that did this. But, the cases are damaging because of the deaths they have caused over the last 50 years.
  2. This is an interesting point he brings up. There seems to be this belief that if a woman is in mortal danger by giving birth, she still can’t get an abortion. This is hogwash and always has been.
    • The mother’s life has always been more important than the fetus’s life. Abortion has always been permissible.
    • Even conservative religions like Catholicism and Judaism believe this and permit abortion when the mother’s life is in danger.
  3.  All of this is true.
      • We know for a fact that the baby is a human being at conception.
      • We know that abortion is both psychologically, emotionally and physically damaging to the woman. We just have to look at Kermit Gosnell to know this. Many of his patients were left sterile and a few died.
      • The process of abortion is brutal.
        • The doctor poisons the fetus.
        • Sucks out the brain to collapse the skull.
        • The cuts the fetus into pieces and then sucks out the pieces. This is also a major cause for infection within the woman.
  4. This is a very important point.
          • The idea with the Constitution is that decisions like this is left to the people of the state unless it is directly mentioned in the Constitution.
          • Abortion is not mentioned, at all, in the Constitution.
          • Privacy, which is what Roe rides on, is not mentioned in the Constitution.
          • Therefore, it should be up to the people of the state to make the decision on whether abortion is legal, restricted or illegal.
          • I also liked the way he argued for the rights of the fetus and killing the fetus violates his rights to due process and “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness”.
  5. This is also the great lie of the Left. If Roe and Casey are overturned, abortion will not be banned throughout the country. Quite the opposite for certain states like California, New York or Virginia. Abortion will probably be expanded. In those states you might be able to abort a kid after it is born.

One thing he does not mention in “women’s rights”. This is not an accident. It is not a right if that right harms another. In his argument, he makes very clear the humanity of the baby though I would have liked him to make a more scientific argument (though I am sure that is in his written brief and he only has two minutes for oral arguments).

 

 

Argument to Keep Roe and Casey

The respondent is Julie Rikelman who is the Senior Director of the Center for Reproductive Rights. Let’s Listen to her opening:

Some things:

  1. Her first premise is way off here.
    1. The viability standard is a subjective, non-scientific standard. There are children that have survived outside the womb over a month before the viability standard.
    2. The problem with the precedent is that it was unconstitutional.
    3. The forcing of women to “remain pregnant and force birth” is a false argument. The choice was when they decided to have sex and get pregnant. Nothing was being done against their will while getting pregnant.
  2. Stare Decisis is a weak argument.
    1. Stare decisis is defined is Latin for “to stand by things decided.” In short, it is the doctrine of precedent. Courts cite to stare decisis when an issue has been previously brought to the court and a ruling already issued. … Horizontal stare decisis refers to a court adhering to its own precedent.
    2. There have been plenty of precedents overturned in spite of stare decisis including Dread Scott to end Jim Crow laws. Why? Because they were evil and previous court cases were wrong which allowed the evil to continue.
    3. But I would say this is her strongest case.
    4. I also want to point out that she talked about “liberty” throughout her argument and not “privacy”. That’s because that is the wording of Section 1 of the XIV Amendment and she knows she has a bunch of textualists in the court.
    5. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong and how long a bad precedent has been around is irrelevant.
  3. The argument against this is simple:
    1. Roe and Casey weren’t right. They’re wrong morally, legally and scientifically.
    2. Again, the state is not taking anyone’s liberty away. It’s restoring the liberty of the baby.
    3. Abortion also has physical and emotional risks. Abortion is not safe, especially for the human being who is being terminated.
    4. I love the talk of consequences. Right now, consequences are on the federal government. By overturning Roe and Casey, consequences shift to the woman and man to take responsibility not to get pregnant.
    5. Again:
      1. Not a right when it violates the rights of another (in this case, the fetus).
      2. Not a Constitutional right because it’s not in the Constitution, which is why Roe and Casey are bad precedents.
  4. Propel women backwards?
    1. Everyone’s a victim. Women, poor women, she didn’t say women of color probably because Margaret Sanger of Planned Parenthood was a racist and a eugenicist and that would have opened a can of worms.
    2. What about the baby? Dead is pretty backwards. Notice, the baby is not one of her victims.
    3. Here’s something: Responsibility and consequences for bad decisions does sometimes suck.

Notice she doesn’t address something in this entire argument. She never denies that the fetus is a human being. She arguing about the viability of that human being and that should be the basis of the court’s decision. You hear during abortion protests that the fetus is just a clump of cells. Rikelman doesn’t say that. That does not make for a good argument when your opponent is arguing you’re killing a human being.

In fact, she doesn’t mention the fetus at all in her argument. It’s all women’s rights crap. The fetus is a human being. It is a human being at conception. Rikelman doesn’t argue that. This is the problem with the pro-abortion crowd. They can’t argue any of the facts. She did nothing to convince me of anything.

 

The Justices

Here’s Clarence Thomas asking Rikelman about what argument she’s trying to make.

Some things:

  • Thomas scored a huge hit on Rikelman.
  • Rikelman seems to be trying to rewrite Roe.
  • Roe was about privacy, not liberty. This is a problem for her because justices like Thomas may see the precedent as invalid since the XIV Amendment does not mention privacy.
  • Instead of saying, “I don’t know,” she goes on about liberty as if it means privacy.
  • She has no answer.

Here’s Justice Sotomayor making an insane comparison and expecting Stuart to answer to insanity.

Some things here:

  • I used to think you had to be smart to be on the Supreme Court. I have been corrected. This is an insane assertion. Or just an assertion of the truly stupid.
  • Brain death is degenerative and will lead to…wait for it…death.
  • A fetus is a developing person. In fact, a human being’s brain develops until the age of 25 when their prefrontal cortex is, finally, fully developed. That’s why people do stupid things at 21.
  • Sotomayor has shown herself as a biased, activist judge.
  • There is no reason for Stuart to take any of her question seriously. She has already made her choice.
  • This also shows how these judges, like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, feel that the Constitution can be manipulated.

But, Sotomayor continues with her stupidity, totally missing what her job is. I can’t believe this broad in on the Supreme Court for the rest of her life:

Some things:

  • Um…what?
  • She has been appointed to the Supreme Court for life so she would be immune to public opinion and politics.
    • Read the Constitution.
    • Read The Federalist Papers.
    • She should be impeached from the court because she believes this.
  • Casey and Roe, which is what Stuart argues, were create because of popular opinion and politics. That shouldn’t have happened.
  • One thing I want to point out: She muddies the waters between the rights that are actually guaranteed by the Constitution and rights that are permitted by precedence. That is a huge mistake.
    • The only rights that are guaranteed are the ones through the Constitution. These are divine and God-given.
    • Rights through precedence are not rights. They are law that can be overturned.
    • If you want a right to be guaranteed, to be defined as God-given, we must go through the amendment process.
    • Abortion would never make it through the amendment process. It’s been tried.
  • This just shows we need term limits for Supreme Court Justices.

Here is Sotomayer continuing to be an idiot. This time, she not only denigrates Stuart’s argument but insults 80% of the United States. So much for giving a crap what the people think.

Some things:

  • I love this question. It shows the Left for what they are.
  • First off, Stuart made reasonable, moral argument. He never said anything about religion.
  • Second, debates about life, philosophically, which is what Sotomayor wants to focus on, does not change the science. That’s telling about how she is going to rule. She’s ignoring the science, which is absolute, and bringing it to a philosophical question, which isn’t. Science says, life starts at conception. Philosophy, at this point, is not even a question. It’s not even a debating point.
  • Stuart never made a religious or philosophical argument. It is a scientific argument based on decades of research. That’s why he’s so thrown off at the question.
  • It is actually Rikelman that makes the philosophical argument that is based on what we knew in 1993 with Casey.
  • Outside of the fact this is a smack at religion (in this case, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which all ban abortion) it equates religion with morality.
  • And, it pushes law away from morality which law has a very iffy relationship with morality anyway.
  • Unfortunately, I could only answer these questions with questions because this is an insane question:
    • Is all morality based on religion?
    •  If so, with that fictitious separation of Church and State from that misread letter by Thomas Jefferson, does that mean law needs to be completely separated from morality?
  • Of course, neither is correct. If so, one could make murder arguably legal because those against murder could be see as moral and, therefore, religious. And we have separation of church and state.
  • This question has not been criticized enough. It’s an insane question.

Not the end of insanity when it comes to religion.

Here is Justice Stephen Breyer asking Stuart what atheists have said abortion is bad.

Some things:

  • Philosopher and bioethicists? Is this f-ing guy kidding?
  • Stuart is basing everything on actual science. Not ethics, not philosophy.

But let’s look at a couple of atheists who touted morality.

How about Friedrich Nietzsche. A humanist. When he said, “God is Dead” in The Gay Science, he wasn’t celebrating God being dead. He was lamenting it. He thought man needed religious morality to keep him from being tyrannical which would have led to the deaths of people.

What other philosopher believed in morality, not necessarily, religious morality? Albert Camus, the Absurdist who broke away from Jean Paul Sartre’s Existentialism. In The Stranger, he said we still have moral responsibility even though there is no moral bounds created by religion.

But, the reality is, Stuart made a scientific argument. He made a Constitutional argument. Religion had nothing to do with it.

Here is Clarence Thomas bringing things back to reality. What’s the law? What is it in the Constitution that makes your summation right?

Some things:

  • Thomas is looking for words.
  • She has none. She keeps throwing out keywords Thomas might like. One of the words she doesn’t throw out is “privacy”.
  • This is weak tea.

Thomas keeps pushing and he shows how lacking the pro-abortion attorney is in knowledge.

Some things:

  • Typical Leftist response.
  • Thomas asks a specific question. “What Constitution says abortion is Constitutional?”
  • Rikelman gives a long-winded word-salad that does not answer his question.
  • Thomas, in a few words, rephrases her answer. Is abortion the Constitution guarantees?
  • She gives a long worded that abortion is the guarantee in the Constitution.
  • Here’s the problem for the pro-abortion litigant: Abortion is not defined in the Constitution.
  • There would be no reason for Roe or Casey if it was. I’m sire she’s kicking herself in the ass right now.

Episode 457 – So What Is This All About?

I’m a big anti-abortion guy and abortion is on the docket of the Supreme Court. Let’s talk about what is on the line here.

 

News

We have a lot to talk with the Supreme Court case but there is so much news that we can’t skip it. So let’s do a quick look at the news.

  • Remember, last week, Biden released 50 million gallons of oil from the reserve? Yeah, well gas went down $.02 and the Democrats are celebrating that. Of course, gas at my station down the street went up $.10 so I’m not really sure what they are talking about.
  • The November jobs report is out and it is horribly disappointing…again. There were 210,000 jobs created. The Dow expected 573,000 jobs so less than half have been created. The unemployment rate fell to 4.2%. That’s good but let’s not forget a couple of things:
    • We have to remember the Trump’s economy before the pandemic was at 3.4%.
    • The long term unemployed and the people who have just left the work force is going up which will affect the unemployment rate.
  • An English professor, Christopher Trogan, from Fordham University, was fired because he confused the names to two black, female students in his class.
    • The two wrote him an E-mail saying they felt “disheartened and disrespected” and they believed it happened because they were black.
    • Trogan claimed it was an honest mistake. Trogan emailed the students back and claimed he was “centered specifically and explicitly around issues of justice, equality, and inclusion.”
    • Trogan then went into details about his credentials, and commented on “everything he has done for minorities.”
    • That was overkill. As one of the students involved told The Observer, “It seemed a little excessive, like all you needed to do was say sorry and it would have been fine. We were not actually that upset about him mixing up our names. It was more so the random things he would throw into the response.”
    • The students agreed that Trogan was giving off the vibe of a “white savior complex,” which he appeared to seal by offering to give up his job if the students felt they had been discriminated against, and inviting them to file a grievance to his superiors.
    • “Depending on your response,” he wrote in the email, “I may — or may not — be your professor in class next week. It’s all up to you.”
    • Two days later Fordham’s administration suspended him. A month later, he was unemployed.

Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health

The Case

Let’s go over what this case is all about. It is a little confusing especially what could happen. I had to do a ton to figure it out myself. I know everyone is talking about Roe versus Wade but it’s not only about that. It also deals with Planned Parenthood versus Casey. Of course, this whole thing started with a law in Mississippi the limits abortion to before 15 weeks.

The ruling is going to make changes to either one of both of the previous precedence, throw out one or both of the precedence or throw out the Mississippi law. Let’s look at these precedents.

Roe versus Wade federally legalized abortion based on the woman’s “right to privacy” based on the due process clause of the 14th Amendment. It based legalized abortion to the second trimester of pregnancy.

There are some real problems with this case:

  • Here is Section 1 of the XIV Amendment: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
    • Do you see what’s missing here? The word privacy. In fact, the word privacy is not used in the entire Constitution. The word “privacy” was shaped in another precedent from the 1950’s.
    • The key word used here that the pro-abortion argument uses is “liberty”. This is important during the Supreme Court debate.
  • Viability is not mentioned here at all. That’s because no one was sure of the viability of the fetus and the Court admits that.
    • We did know about the viability of the fetus with the discovery of the test tube baby in 1980 which should have made this precedent obsolete.
    • This is why the pro-abortionists were afraid the precedent would be overturned and wanted to make the Equal Rights Amendment and Amendment to the Constitution.

Planned Parenthood versus Casey case arose from a challenge to 5 provisions of the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act of 1982; among the provisions were requirements for a waiting period, spousal notice, and (for minors) parental consent prior to undergoing an abortion procedure. Basically, it took away the states right to make any restrictions on abortion.

It also rid the trimester system from Roe versus Wade and switched to the 40-week system. This time, viability of the fetus was determined to be 24 weeks.

There are huge problems with this law:

  • It takes away states’ right to put limits on abortion. It federalizes the law. This is unconstitutional!
  • It creates limits. In other words, it is creating law! That’s not the Supreme Court’s job. Abortion is not in the Constitution!
  • The viability standard is still very subjective. The 24-week standard is not from science, it’s just some randomly picked number. We have had babies that have survived at 20 weeks.

Here’s the problem pro-abortionists have: Their precedents are build on sand. Roe v. Wade was always weak and everyone knows it. Even pro-abortionists know it. Planned Parenthood v. Casey tried to strengthen Roe v. Wade but it’s very weak. The reason is both create something that is not in the Constitution (they create laws) and not based on any science.

The Mississippi law does not attack Roe v. Wade directly but goes after Casey. It attacks the 24-week viability standard of Casey and the state’s ability to determine viability. All Mississippi has to prove is that a fetus is a human being, which is science, or, at least, prove that the fetus is a human being at 15 weeks. Hearing the arguments on Wednesday, they did that.

Episode 456 – Ciao Bella!

CNN says ciao bella to Chris Cuomo.

Joe Biden gets kicked in the teeth again over his vax mandates.

And abortion is under the microscope of the Supreme Court.

Chris Cuomo is out at CNN.

It was discovered that Chris Cuomo had used his media contacts to get information about his governor brother, Andrew Cuomo, on his sexual harassment victims. CNN couldn’t ignore this like they did for the last year. They finally suspended him indefinitely.

This is a big problem for CNN. Chris Cuomo’s show was the highest rated show on CNN. Now, that isn’t saying much. The Fox News show at 5 AM has higher rating than Chris Cuomo’s show. Heck, there are two HLN shows that are beating CNN’s top rated show. Don Lemon’s show is so in the tank, Chris Cuomo spent the first fifteen minutes of Lemon’s show joking around with Lemon to stop people from changing the channel. So what is CNN going to do.

I want you to remember one thing: Jeffry Toobin. Yes, the guy who was caught jerking off on a CNN Zoom call involving the 2020 elections. He, too, was indefinitely suspended. Now, Toobin is back on CNN, albeit at a distance from any other panel member. Call me cynical, but I see this being a bit of a publicity stunt. I think he might be off air for a month and then CNN will unsuspend him and they will celebrate the return of Chris Cuomo.

Here’s the thing, Chris Cuomo should have been fired. Not because he helped his brother, but because he’s an idiot and a liar. He lied about his brother. So it shouldn’t be a surprise they fired him. What’s a surprise is CNN hasn’t fired their entire lineup. They’re highest rated show is ranked around 25. This station needs to fix themselves and firing everyone is a good way to start.

A federal judge in Louisiana blocked Democrat President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for health care workers on Tuesday, issuing a nationwide injunction on Biden’s order.

Louisiana Western District U.S. Judge Terry Doughty wrote:

“If the separation of powers meant anything to the Constitutional framers, it meant that the three necessary ingredients to deprive a person of liberty or property – the power to make rules, to enforce them, and to judge their violations – could never fall into the same hands. If the executive branch is allowed to usurp the power of the legislative branch to make laws, two of the three powers conferred by our Constitution would be in the same hands. If human nature and history teach anything, it is that civil liberties face grave risks when governments proclaim indefinite states of emergency.”

Yes, yes! This is why the Biden administration thinks this is unconstitutional. This is exactly why we have a House, a Senate, a President and a Supreme Court. So one person doesn’t control everything. That’s how tyranny grows.

“During a pandemic such as this one, it is even more important to safeguard the separation of powers set forth in our Constitution to avoid erosion of our liberties. Because the Plaintiff States have satisfied all four elements required for a preliminary injunction to issue, this Court has determined that a preliminary injunction should issue against the Government Defendants. This matter will ultimately be decided by a higher court than this one. However, it is important to preserve the status quo in this case. The liberty interests of the unvaccinated requires nothing less.

This is why the Left are making the unvaccinated evil. Because the Left cannot win through Congress or the courts. No one buys their crap. They have to fight this through the court public opinion.

Guess what? They’re losing there too.

Listen, I love the vaccine. I took them both and I was glad to have them. I will not take the booster next month because I had a rather uncomfortable reaction and I want to see more. I’m not saying I won’t take it. But there are two reason I am not interested in getting a booster at this time:

  • There are no studies on B or T-cell immunity for the vaccines. It is possible I am safe from dying from COVID because my body knows how to fight it because of the vaccines.
  • I am still moderately young and healthy. I would rather catch the damn thing, suffer for a couple of days and have natural immunity before I get older and then compromised. This disease isn’t going away. It’s endemic and will always be here.
  • I think there is a high chance I’ve already had it. Maybe if we did more antibody testing instead of nose swabs, we’d know where we really stand in this country.
  • I don’t want to take boosters for the rest of my life.

“Therefore, the scope of this injunction will be nationwide, except for the states of Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, since these ten states are already under a preliminary injunction order dated November 29, 2021, out of the Eastern District of Missouri. This preliminary injunction shall remain in effect pending the final resolution of this case, or until further orders from this Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, or the United States Supreme Court.”

Biden has been skunked on his vaccine mandates:

  • His mandate for private industry has been blocked.
  • His mandate for the healthcare industry has been blocked.
  • His mandate for the military has been fought against and pretty much blocked, especially by the Marines and Navy.
  • The unions refuse to take the vaccine.

Well, he’s decided to go in a different direction. On Thursday he’s going to announce new restrictions for those entering and leaving the United States, including for American citizens.

  • A person entering the country must have a negative test one day before entering the country. If positive, no entry.
  • A person must quarantine for seven days after entering the country even with a negative test.
  • Anyone violating the order is subject to fines.

This is beginning to sound more like Australia than the United States.

Opinion

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court will weigh in on Mississippi’s controversial anti-abortion law that bans abortion past 15 weeks. This decision could overturn Roe versus Wade making abortion an issue of the state. Of course, because the Left treats abortion as a religious ritual, the news media is throwing all their attention to it.

Here is an opinion article from the Washington Post. It is called If the Supreme Court throws out ‘Roe v. Wade,’ it will tear the country apart by Eugene Robinson. I found it interesting because I thought it was the most honest and it brought up the fact that there is 50% of the population that thinks abortion is wrong. It doesn’t demonize anti-abortionists unlike the other articles I read.

Roe v. Wade is an important piece of the duct tape that holds this fractious nation together, and it would be a grievous error for the antiabortion majority on the Supreme Court to rip it away.

But that is precisely what the court, with its 6-3 conservative majority, looks poised to do. Wednesday’s oral arguments over Mississippi’s law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy will not really be about “textualist” or “originalist” legal principles. They will be about whether the Constitution protects a woman’s freedom over her own body — a liberty recognized when Roe was decided on Jan. 22, 1973.

Some things:

  • How is Roe v. Wade duct tape? I think it is one of the worst decisions in U.S. history. It’s up there with Jim Crow and slavery. It’s extremely polarizing.
  • First off, let’s ease up on the 6-3 Conservative court.
    • John Roberts is hardly made any Conservative decisions.
    • Neil M. Gorsuch has made some iffy decisions.
    • Kavanaugh and Barrett seem to not like going against precedence.
    • I am just not sure how Conservative this court is.
  • This has everything to do with “textualist” principles. The term abortion is not used once in the Constitution.
  • Roe v. Wade is a terrible precedence because it just came up with some crap about privacy. That’s why the Left has been worried about it being overturned since the eighties.

I remember that day well, because it was also the day when former president Lyndon B. Johnson died. I was one of the editors of the Michigan Daily, the student newspaper at the University of Michigan, and we had a passionate argument that went late into the evening over which should be our lead story. Should it be legalized abortion across the nation? Or the man who sent tens of thousands of young Americans to die in the Vietnam War?

Most of the female editors saw the historic importance of Roe and understood the impact it would have on women’s lives. Most of the male editors — myself included, I confess — could not see past Vietnam and pushed hard for LBJ. We won, sort of: The paper ended up stripping Johnson’s death across the top of the front page and putting the Roe decision right beneath it, still above the fold, with a boldface two-line headline. For history’s sake, I thought that was the right call.

I was spectacularly wrong. Johnson was indeed a towering figure, but he’d been long out of office and had to die at some point anyway. Roe was like a bolt from the blue, and with it the nation took a giant stride toward treating women as full and equal citizens under the law. The decision’s impact continues to this day — but perhaps not for many days longer.

Some things:

  • This paragraph points out the disparities between men and women. Sexism anyone?
  • The point here is he is right. The Vietnam war led to the deaths of 65,000 Americans. Abortion has killed over 60 million American babies since Roe v. Wade. So he’s right, abortion was the bigger story.

There are those who claim that Roe is divisive, that the ruling set the stage for years of bitter conflict by recognizing a constitutional right to abortion that cannot be unduly infringed by the states. But I believe that analysis is wrong. What’s truly divisive is abortion itself — an issue on which, for many Americans, there simply is no middle ground.

Some people believe that all abortion is murder and that every pregnancy should be brought to full term. I do not share this view. But for those who do, how could there ever be compromise? What does it matter whether an abortion takes place in the first, second or third trimester, or whether it takes place before or after the point at which the fetus would be viable outside the womb? What is the difference between taking a Plan B pill and having a surgical abortion after 15 weeks? If both are “murders,” how can one be acceptable and one not?

Some things:

  • Abortion is not a Constitutional right if one is a textualist which is what I am. It has been artificially made into a Constitutional right through a very week precedence.
  • There’s another Constitutional right that the Left always forgets: Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
  • Because it’s not a Constitutional right, it is up to the states. He’s just wrong here.
  • Because he doesn’t see abortion is murder, our debate is done.
    • It’s been scientifically proven since the 80s though test tube babies, invitro fertilization, DNA testing and being able to map the stages of growth through sonograms.
    • Saying it is not killing a baby is denying science.
  • Taking the abortion pill is killing the baby. Weak sauce argument here.
  • Here are a couple of questions I have:
    • Why not be able to kill a baby after it’s born? It still has a dependence on the mother.

Like most Americans, I do not believe that all abortion is murder. It doesn’t matter whether I think a line should be drawn at viability or how I believe the health and well-being of the pregnant person should be factored in. What matters is that my view, whatever its nuances, can never be acceptable to those who take an absolutist position against abortion.

Viability is not relevant here. A baby is not viable months after it’s born. It’s if the zygote or fetus is a separate human being is the question.

The pregnant person has an option to get pregnant or not. Here’s a news flash: We know how people get pregnant. There’s no mystery in it anymore. This what the Left does. The strip personal responsibility from people. If you strip personal responsibility from people, then there are no consequences for bad decisions.

This is why I see Roe as unifying rather than divisive: It makes a yes-no decision. It sets a baseline that some of us cannot abide but that most of us applaud or can live with. It says that, yes, the Constitution, in its words and its penumbra, does protect a woman’s fundamental right to terminate her pregnancy.

Unifying for who? Unifying for Leftists. I think abortion is murder. I think women who have multiple abortions, and I know and few and so do you, are disgusting, selfish and immoral.

Then he contradicts himself is the next line that “some of us cannot abide” by it says that it is not unifying! By the way, it’s not :some of us”. It’s like 50% of the country thinks abortion is wrong.

Like all of our constitutionally protected freedoms, the right to choose can be restricted, but not taken away. That has been the status quo for nearly five decades, and the nation has muddled through. But if Roe is reversed — if the court rules, as its most conservative justices have argued, that no protected right to reproductive choice exists — then the political cold war over abortion will flare immediately into a roaring blaze.

Reproductive choice always exists. You have the choice to use condoms. You have the choice to use birth control pills. You have the choice not to have sex. That choice is gone when you get pregnant. The horse is out of the barn at that point.

If states such as Texas pass laws that effectively eliminate all abortions, those with the means will travel to other states to terminate their pregnancies. Many poor people will risk their health by seeking illegal abortions. Some doctors will most likely risk imprisonment. There will be intense pressure for pro-choice federal legislation, and abortion will be a hot-button issue in every congressional district.

As if our politics needed more heat.

Roe will never please everyone, but it has served the country well. I fear this Supreme Court is foolish enough to throw it away.

  • I liked this article because it wasn’t vicious. He didn’t demonize anti-abortionists. He just thought they are misguided.
  • The problem is if he got into a debate with an anti-abortionist, he would get killed. The facts just aren’t on his side. The example would be he doesn’t believe abortion is murder.
  • He tries to argue that Roe v. Wade is unifying. But this is not his real argument. His real argument is that abortion has been around for 45 years and we should just live with it.
  • Not only should we live with it, but we should just ignore anti-abortionists, though he never explains why. He doesn’t think its murder so that enough. He spent half the article saying that but doesn’t say what he doesn’t think it’s murder.
  • I, on the other hand, can write an article as to why it is murder.

  • Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter, will be stepping down as CEO.
    • It is unclear whether he is stepping down or being forced out. The latter is more likely.
    • Parag Agrawal, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, would be starting as CEO immediately, and that Dorsey would continue to serve on the Twitter board through to the end of his term this coming spring to “help Parag and Bret with the transition.”
    • Expect things to change? I do. I expect things to get worse.
      • Agrawal has said that free speech should not be something Twitter should concentrate on.
      • Just today, they have announced some changes on that people can do on Twitter for privacy concerns.
  • Actor Matthew McConaughey announced on Sunday that he will not run to be the next governor of Texas, a decision that came despite a push from left-wing media for the actor to challenge Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
    • That’s good because he would’ve gotten his ass kicked.
    • He is a Leftist. He wants to ban the Second Amendment.

The New Plan

They have 10 months and the Democrats are going to do anything to get Republicans off of committees. Their sights are now on Lauren Boebert.

Just a little reminder: during the Paul Gosar censure a week ago, Lauren went off. It was an outstanding showing and raised her visibility. Hell, I never heard of her before that speech.

Well, she had a rally at, what looked like, a western bar and she made a joke. Here it is:

Couple of things:

  • She looks great in black jeans.
  • She has a great body and is very sexy for a representative in Congress.
  • No woman should ever wear high heels with jeans.
  • And the joke was funny.

Omar got upset about something that’s true and started throwing a fit. Then, Boebert made a big mistake. She apologized. Why, in God’s name, did she do that? This never works. It admits guilt over something that is not a mistake or a crime. It was a joke.

Ilhan Omar, on the other hand, has done some very bad things:

  • She dismissed the 9/11 terrorist attack saying “some people did some things”.
  • She wrote a letter saying that several men trying to join ISIS should not be prosecuted because they’re poor.
  • She dismissed the danger of Al Qaeda in an interview because she took a terrorism class in college.
  • She’s a rabid anti-Semite.
  • She married her brother to commit get him into the country.
  • Then she married her second husband without getting a divorce. This led to tax issues.
  • She had an affair with a campaign staffer and lied about it.
  • She then got a divorce and married the staffer.
  • Now, theoretically, she’s being investigated for giving a couple of million dollars in campaign funds to her current husband’s company.

There’s enough to joke about her. She has enough sympathies for terrorists to make that joke funny because it’s true.

Anyway, Boebert calls Ilhan Omar to personally apologize and Omar demands a public apology. Of course she does. She and the other Democrats her to admit guilt in public so they can censure her just like they did Paul Gosar over that stupid video. She refused to do it and Omar hung up on her.

Later, Omar tweeted her thoughts because that’s what you do today:

 

I’m sorry. It was a joke. It was funny.

They’re going to try to censure her and they’re going to succeed. They’re going to pull her off all her committees. The Dems want to strip Republicans of all power. You know it because she will be the third Republican removed from committees this year.

I hope Kevin McCarthy has balls. I hope he does the same thing next year. I hope he gets rid of Maxine Waters, Eric Swallwell, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes, Rashida Tlaib, Cory Bush, Ayanna Pressley and, of course, Ilhan Omar.

He’s going to gain 40 to 50 seats next year. He’s going to be able to do it.

Changing History

This is an amazing story because it is so obvious that the Left is trying to change history.

According to The Telegraph:

Wikipedia entry detailing “mass killings under Communist regimes” faces being purged from the platform over fears about bias.

The page outlining the deaths of millions in one-party states including the Soviet Union and China has been flagged for deletion, with some users responsible for maintaining the site taking issue with blaming mass murder on Communist ideology.

The dedicated entry listing the actions of figures like Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, and Kim Jong Il has been accused of putting forward a biased “anti-Communist” point of view, and site administrators will decide whether it should be removed.

The future of a page titled “Anti-communist mass killings” is not in doubt, however, as the entry outlining occasions on which Communists have been killed under other political systems has not been flagged over concerns about neutrality.

It’s funny that they won’t remove non-communist countries that had genocide like Nazi Germany. I think that’s funny because Nazi Germany was pretty much the same government and economy as countries like the Soviet Union and China. The Nazis were socialists. It’s in the name (National Socialist German Workers’ Party).

Let’s understand something about Wikipedia: it is not considered a encyclopedic site. The information is added by users and many of it isn’t confirmed. It is not considered a reliable source by colleges. But, like the tearing down of statues, this is their attempt to change history to, not only making communism more palatable, but also excuse the sins of communism today. An example of that are the atrocities being committed in China, North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba.

The Simpsons

According to the Hollywood reporter:

Disney+ users in Hong Kong have noticed an episode of The Simpsons is conspicuously missing.

The 16th season of the iconic Fox animated show jumps from episode 11 to 13 when viewers in the city browse the flagship Disney streaming service. The missing episode 12, first broadcast in 2005, happens to be the one where Homer takes his family to China, where they visit Tiananmen Square and come across a placard that reads: “On this site, in 1989, nothing happened.”

It appears the episode has suffered precisely the kind of censorship it was written to ridicule.

Don’t They Have More Important Things To Do

The Camden School District in New Jersey has a Change.org petition to rename the Woodrow Wilson High School because Woodrow Wilson was a racist.

According to the petition:

After years of examining the legacy of former US President Woodrow Wilson, WE have come to see that his views and actions contradict the values and diversity We see in Woodrow Wilson High School today as well as the society WE live in Camden NJ.  

 These values We hold today are to be respected at the highest standard in regards to fair treatment of All individuals, and our aspirations to continue to be an educating, diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community in the City of Camden NJ it is only right in Our Eyes to right the wrongs that have plagued Us in Our oppressed society.

Then the petition goes through some evidence that Woodrow Wilson was a racist. It concludes:

… this conflicts with the values and aspirations of our times today as We see it but WE encourage each Of The elected Members named here in this Petition to embrace the coeducational, multi-racial, multi-ethnic, diverse and inclusive composition and ideals of our community today and they can do so by removing Woodrow Wilsons Name.

Woodrow Wilson was a racist. He was also a eugenicist. He as a terrible person. He was also a crappy President. I wouldn’t name a school after him. But he was also a professor, president of Princeton University, a governor of New Jersey and a two term President of the United States. He was a success and part of our history. Should he be banned?

I don’t like him. I understand why they want to change the name. I just find it ironic that the people who want to change the name have all the same beliefs that Woodrow Wilson had.

Episode 454 – Dude, Toughen Up!

Here we go again. A new variant. I guess it’s time for us to run around like chickens with our heads cut off.

It might be time to stop wearing Levi’s.

And the Left is showing the contempt for the Constitution and no one is paying any attention. So I will.

I’m telling you, this is never going to end. A new variant of COVID-19 has been discovered.

 

The Variant

A new variant of the China virus has been found in South Africa earlier this month. I have looked up this variant and here is some of the information I got from the World Health Organization (China for short):

  • The TAG-VE was convened on 26 November 2021 to assess the SARS-CoV-2 variant: B.1.1.529.
  • It was first reported to WHO from South Africa on 24 November 2021.
  • Preliminary evidence suggests an increased risk of reinfection with this variant, as compared to other VOCs.
  • Current SARS-CoV-2 PCR diagnostics continue to detect this variant.
  • As such, countries are asked to do the following:
    • enhance surveillance and sequencing efforts to better understand circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants.
    • submit complete genome sequences and associated metadata to a publicly available database, such as GISAID.
    • report initial cases/clusters associated with VOC infection to WHO through the IHR mechanism.
    • where capacity exists and in coordination with the international community, perform field investigations and laboratory assessments to improve understanding of the potential impacts of the VOC on COVID-19 epidemiology, severity, effectiveness of public health and social measures, diagnostic methods, immune responses, antibody neutralization, or other relevant characteristics.
  • Individuals are reminded to take measures to reduce their risk of COVID-19, including proven public health and social measures such as wearing well-fitting masks, hand hygiene, physical distancing, improving ventilation of indoor spaces, avoiding crowded spaces, and getting vaccinated.
  • They included to references to follow. Both references are for following the rules of the previous variants.

What do we know about this variant. Nothing. The WHO has nothing new about it except, like Delta, you can catch it if you’re vaccinated or have been infected with an earlier variant. They do not even know how dangerous it is or how infectious it is.

But She Knows

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, a board member of the South African Medical Association, first noticed otherwise healthy patients demonstrating unusual symptoms on Nov. 18. She saw that it was the China virus but it did not behave in the same way as the previous variants so she alerted the WHO.

But she does have some interesting tidbits of information.

 

In other words, people have a mild case of the flu. By the way, as the virus matures, it is going to become less deadly. The virus is designed that way. It’s designed to spread, not kill. It wants people to survive so it can spread to other organisms. Just about all viruses do this.

She continues with a warning (which is what doctors are suppose to do):

“What we have to worry about now is that when older, unvaccinated people are infected with the new variant, and if they are not vaccinated, we are going to see many people with a severe [form of the] disease.”

Well, duh! We know that people who are not vaccinated may experience harsher symptoms. The hospitals are not being overrun. There isn’t a huge uptick in cases.

Here’s what I think is happening and it’s going to happen for the rest of time. This virus is going to mutate, just like the flu. All the previous variants are going to run through the population or people are going to get the vaccines (which we still aren’t sure of). Each new variant is going to become weaker and the population is going to become less susceptible to the disease.

In two years, it’s going to be another version of the flu. End of story.

Let the Overreaction Begin

“Never let a good crisis go to waste,” said Obama progressive Rahm Emmanuel.

The Left has re-invented Emmanuel’s quote:

“Make a non-crisis into a crisis so we can never let a crisis go to waste.”

The Leftists are going off.

Joe Biden made a statement while vacationing, again, in a billionaire’s home in Nantucket:

“We don’t know a lot about the variant, except that it is of great concern. It seems to spread rapidly. And I spent about a half-hour this morning with my COVID team, led by Dr. Fauci, and so, that was the decision we made.”

Oh, yeah, and get vaccinated against a variant we know nothing about. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

There are a few problems here. First, it’s not a great concern in South Africa, where it was found. That news is from South African doctors! 

Second, it’s not spreading rapidly. Hospitals in South Africa are not being impacted. That’s according to South African doctors!

Third, the WHO doesn’t know anything about the variant. Shouldn’t we learn something about it before we make alarmist statements?

Finally, Dr. Fauci has been wrong and been lying about everything! Why is Biden listening to him!

Biden implemented a travel ban from the African countries of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi. Something that got a lot of attention on social media since Biden and Kamala called Trump a racist for implementing a travel ban. What’s worse, they called Trump a racist on social media so everyone knows they did it! What a pair of tools.

But there’s more.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed an Executive Order declaring a “Disaster Emergency in the State of New York” in anticipation of winter COVID-19 case increases. She’s preparing to shut the state down again and gain more control. She declared that elective surgeries are to be cancelled.

Didn’t they do that before and it fixed nothing except kill people because they saw a heart stint as being an elective surgery? I have to tell you, she’s worse than Andrew Cuomo. Wait till Gavin Newsom of California finds out. Can’t wait to hear what he’s going to do.

Israel is shutting its borders again even though 90% of the population is vaccinated. I thought the vaccines worked.

And This Is Just Funny

According to Fox News:

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed it skipped the Greek letters “nu” and “xi” in naming its new COVID-19 variant, which it dubbed the “omicron” variant.

“‘Nu’ is too easily confounded with ‘new,’ and ‘xi’ was not used because it is a common last name, and WHO best practices for naming disease suggest avoiding ‘causing offence to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional or ethnic groups,’” a WHO spokesperson told Fox News in a statement on Saturday.

That’s right, they skipped two Greek letters because they were too close to the name of the dictator of China and they openly admit it. See, being politically correct does have its problems for Leftist organizations.

By the way, “nu” is problematic because it’s original pronunciation is “nee” (which means “new”) and is too close to “xi” which is the dictator’s name.

Man the F-Up

Apparently it might be time to stop wearing my favorite clothing.

After Kyle Rittenhouse was found innocent last week, Levi’s Strauss, the makers of Levi’s jeans, had to hire a trauma specialists because they thought that some of their employees might start to suffer PTSD from the thought that a convicted child-raping pedophile was killed in mid-attack.

Levi Strauss chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer Elizabeth Morrison said in a letter to staff:

“With the news that Kyle Rittenhouse was not convicted in the shooting of three individuals — two of whom lost their lives — during racial justice protests last year, this is a difficult day for many.

“To help promote safety, sharing and to encourage healing, I’ll be hosting a fireside chat and Q&A with Dr. Jamila Codrington, a licensed psychologist and racial trauma specialist in early December. Dr. J and I will talk about the mental and psychical impacts of back-to-back social and racial justice events and trauma coping mechanisms during our discussion.”

Now I know Levi Strauss is a Leftist organization (they are located in San Francisco) but I think it is rich that they think they have such pansy employees when the product they sell is touted as cowboy rugged. You know? Flying off horses and bulls and crap and the jeans can handle it. Heck, Levi’s has always been an American icon for masculinity. You’re not even suppose to wash the damn things. Throw them in the freezer for an hour of so and they’re clean (that is recommended). I can’t think of anything more masculine than that.

But this isn’t the only place that’s doing that. You know the colleges were going to have a negative response to the verdict. I mean, people are banning a story about a white boy helping a black slave escape because they were naked on a raft in one scene and they said words.

California State University, Long Beach gave students and faculty the chance to attend a “debriefing” of Rittenhouse’s acquittal, which would be attended by staff from the Counseling and Psychological Services office.

University spokesman Jim Milbury told The College Fix in an email:

“When there are higher-profile events and issues in the public discourse, it is not uncommon for our university to provide spaces for our campus community to discuss those topics.”

God, we need a bloody war with a common enemy to toughen our kids up.

On the brighter side of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, The View’s Joy Behar and Whoopie Goldberg are getting sued for $60 million by Rittenhouse for defamation. That was quick. That kid is going to be so rich.

Sorry, Not Surprised

Remember the multitude of times I said the Left doesn’t care about the Constitution and will just ignore it when it’s convenient? Well, they aso feel they don’t have to go through the amendment process to implement an amendment.

Remember the Equal Rights Amendment that was being pushed way back in the 1960s and 70s? It never became an amendment, though it was close, and the time expired in making it an amendment, not to mention five states de-ratified it after they found out what was in the amendment.

Here’s the story in case you’re not as old as I am (though I was too young to understand it at the time):

  • At issue is the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), a benign-sounding Nixon-era amendment that concealed an unpopular feminist agenda. Critics say it would erode the legal protections of women and create a constitutional right to abortion just as Supreme Court justices seem poised to amend, or overturn, Roe v. Wade.
  • The Equal Rights Amendment seemed destined to become the 27th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1972.
  • Article V of the Constitution requires amendments to pass Congress by a two-thirds margin, then be ratified by three-fourths of the states (38 states out of 50)
  • The ERA — which was championed by democratic socialists Rep. Bella Abzug (D-NY), Gloria Steinem, and Betty Friedan — passed the U.S. House of Representatives by the required margin in October 1971 and cleared the Senate five months later.
  • But the legislation they passed contained a time limit: The ERA had to be ratified within seven years.
  • That hurdle seemed insignificant, as a total of 30 states ratified the ERA within a year — 14 of them within the first month. Five more states followed by 1978, when the Democrat-controlled Congress voted to extend the deadline to June 30, 1982.
  • Enter Phyllis Schlafly, a well-educated mother from Illinois. She found:
    • women’s exemption from being drafted into military service;
    • separate facilities for showers, restrooms, college dorm rooms, battered women’s shelters, and prisons;
    • federal programs like Title IX, Social Security benefits for women who worked in the home, and Women Infants and Children (WIC)
  • The Senate began to read the amendment and began to, in a bipartisan fashion, to strip the bill of some of its major language.
  • After the United States had an opportunity to digest these arguments, momentum stopped, then reversed. Although the Democrats extended the ERA’s ratification deadline, no additional states signed on, and five states rescinded their previous ratification votes: Nebraska (1973), Tennessee (1974), Idaho (1977), Kentucky (1978), and South Dakota (1979).

Enter the Left.

How extreme is this amendment? Ben Johnson of the Daily Wire wrote:

Although you have likely not heard much about it from the media, the Democrats recently unveiled a plan to illegally add an element of their radical, intersectional agenda to the text of the U.S. Constitution. The controversial amendment could eliminate all laws that recognize biological differences between men and women, and it could force taxpayers to fund abortion-on-demand. Worse yet, their actions come decades after the Left tried and failed to convince Americans to adopt the proposed amendment democratically.

Right now, the House is holding hearings to make this bill an amendment even though it didn’t pass 40 years ago.

Though the amendment is dead, blues states ratified it anyway. Those states were Nevada in 2017, followed by Illinois in 2018, and Virginia in 2020. According to the Left, that means the amendment has been ratified and it is part of the Constitution. Nevermind the fact that five states went against the ratification later, that doesn’t matter.

The DOJ under the Trump administration said that the bill could not be ratified because it expired. The Left argues that the expiration is procedural and not written into the ERA itself so that doesn’t count. They also say that states do not have the right to decertify because it’s not in the bill. Therefore, the fives states that pulled out don’t count.

Guess it’s kind of important to read and understand bills before voting for them. That’s something out politicians haven’t learned yet.

The Left tried to sue and make a judge declare the amendment part of the Constitution. In March, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras, an Obama appointee, ruled that a “ratification deadline in a proposing resolution’s introduction is just as effective as one in the text of a proposed amendment,” so the deadline to adopt the ERA “expired long ago.”

Even the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg seemed to reject the Left’s arguments. She asked in 2020:

“How can you disregard states that said ‘we’ve changed our minds’? I would like to see a new beginning” for the ERA’s ratification, starting from scratch, she said.

But the Left don’t need to follow them stinking rules:

  • First, in March, the House passed a resolution from retiring Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) retroactively repeating the ERA’s 1982 ratification deadline, 222-204.
  • Then on October 21, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform held a hearing where they said the ERA is part of the Constitution.
  • All this stuff, by the way, is unconstitutional.

Then, the Left decided to bring in the big guns. Enter Alyssa Milano, the has-been, Who’s the Boss star. She testified in front of Congress:

The states have directed Congress to amend the Constitution, and it is now the duty of Congress and the Administration [sic] to get out of the way and remove the arbitrary, unnecessary, and shameful deadline that was cynically imposed nearly a half century ago as a poison pill. … The lack of Constitutional [sic] protections for anyone who is not a cisgender man is a blemish on the very idea of Americanism. … The Framers failed us when they did not include women in the Constitution. Congress failed us when it added the deadline for ratification of the ERA. You, the members of this committee, have the opportunity and the obligation to fix the constitution [sic] and stop it from failing us.

That worked! How can we reject the wisdom of a has-been actress?

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) said, “I contend based on this testimony, that the ERA is now an amendment to the Constitution duly ratified by the 38th state, the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Well, if Gerry and Alyssa say so it must be so.

This is going nowhere but it does show something. It shows the disdain the Left has for the Constitution and the rule of law. This is why when they talk of the Constitution and democracy, I cringe. I reject the way they view they law and I don’t want their version of democracy. Their version of democracy looks hauntingly like communism.

Episode 452 – The Real Terrorism

A terrible act of terrorism hits Wisconsin. But who are the real terrorists?

Here are some news stories that came out that I shouldn’t skip:

  • President Biden took a physical.
    • The President has experienced increasing frequency and severity of “throat clearing” and coughing during speaking engagements. He has exhibited such symptoms for as long as I have known him, but they certainly seem to be more frequent and more pronounced over the last few months. It is acknowledged that this perception may be artificially confounded by the undeniable fact that, as President, a much greater attention is directed toward his public engagements as compared to that which he experienced in previous positions. Nevertheless, this symptom is clearly present, and warranted detailed investigation.
    • The President’s ambulatory gait is perceptibly stiffer and less fluid than it was a year or so ago. He has several reasonable explanations for this in his orthopedic history, but again, a detailed investigation was appropriate.
    • He did not appear to take a cognitive exam.
  • President Biden has indicated that he is going to run for re-election. Wow, at 36% approval rating, that’s going to go well.
  • Finally, Joe Biden has decided to release 50 million barrels of oil. Sounds like a lot. We use 18 million barrels of oil a day. If we do the math, that extra oil will get us halfway through Friday.

Black Supremacy, Domestic Terrorism?

Something you are not going to hear a lot about on CNN and MSNBC is how a 39-year-old black man named Darrell Brooks Jr., drove his car through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin. So far, 5 have been killed and over 48 have been injured including 10 kids.

There is very little information on this case and trust, because he is black, the media won’t get that information out anytime soon. He’s got a record to length of my arm including two open felony cases ($1000 and $500 bail), he has served very little jail time because Wisconsin is a social justice state, and he’s a sex offender.

Here he is explaining how he got into trouble for sleeping with a 16-year-old:

He is a BLM supporter and was heavily against the police. He was bonded out on $1000 bail on Friday.

So tell me, does the justice seem fair? Why was this guy on the street? White supremacy?

Let’s Take a Look

The media is being really quiet about this guy. It looks like there’s a reason.

The media, with the little information they put out, screwed even that little information. They first reported that Brooks was being chased, fleeing from another crime scene. I wasn’t surprised about this lie because that would let the media blame the police for keeping the chase going and that caused the accident, not the black criminal.

That story turned out to be false.

So was it terrorism? The Waukesha police chief says “no”. This guy has a long criminal history including battery, domestic violence, cocaine possession and resisting arrest. We also can’t forget he’s a registered sex offender for having sex with a 16-year-old. He was also on bail for two pending felony charges and three misdemeanor charges (that’s part of the problem). Earlier this month, the suspect was arrested for allegedly punching his child’s mother in the face and hitting her with his car at a gas station. The bail amounts? One for $500 and the second one was more severe, $1000. Right now, the Wisconsin DA admits the bail amounts are way too low and there is an investigation into what happened. More on that later.

His social media account does show that he is a Black Lives Matter supporter, that he hates Republican politicians and media, and he was spewing black nationalistic quotes from people like Malcom X.

But was this terrorism.

Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire thinks that this was terrorism based on the videos (he appeared to be aiming at people), the location (this was only a few miles from Kenosha) and the timing (two days after the Rittenhouse verdict).

What do I think? It definitely is a form of terrorism. But there are a few things in the video that tell me this may not have been intentional, planned terrorism. The video shows that, though he looks like he’s in a hurry, he was being chased by the police. I cannot be sure when the chase started and we have not been told. In the video, he does look like he is trying to avoid people not aiming at them. There was one video that showed Brooks driving by the sidewalk and he had a clear shot at a child. All he had to do was veer a little right to take her out. He didn’t.

The real terrorism is crime. People are not safe anywhere. This guy had no business being on the street. I’ll go a step further, he had no business being out of prison. This is a career felon. He cannot be rehabilitated. He should be spending the rest of his life in prison. This guy was going to take a life. That’s because he doesn’t care about life. He showed that in the video I played earlier.

In the 1990s, a bunch of states had a three strikes law. These laws stated that someone who committed three felonies were automatically sentenced to life in prison because they were see as career criminals. Even California had it. But blue states like California got rid of the three strikes laws because of social justice. Jails and prisons are seen as evil places that victimizes people, especially people of color.

Crime rates in the United States have gone through the roof. The Left wants to defund the police, close jails and prisons, and end bail. They are responsible for the terror they have unleashed on this country. Wisconsin is an example of this. Instead of changing their tune, the Left just doubles down.

Doubling Down

The day after this tragedy, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a tweet about a letter she sent requesting that New York eliminate cash bail because people of color are being kept in jail awaiting their trials.

Couple of things here:

  • Just because someone hasn’t been convicted of a crime does not mean that they did not commit a crime.
  • Typically when someone is given a high bail it’s because of the seriousness of the crime and a preview of the evidence given to judge at bail hearing.
  • Bail is made to ensure that the suspect comes back to court. High bail is used when the judge is pretty sure he won’t come back to court.
  • The judge also wants to ensure that the suspect won’t commit another crime.
  • I also find it funny that she wants to release criminals for social justice but she wanted Kyle Rittenhouse thrown in prison for life for the sin of defending to himself.
  • Finally, why would she say this the day after a guy ran over 53 people, killing 5, and he was out of jail because because of an inappropriately low bail.

  • Matt Walsh, The Daily Wire: “Holy sh**. @AOC is a demonic sociopath. A guy out on $1,000 bail just mowed down a bunch of women and children, and her immediate response is to ensure that even more violent criminals are released back into their communities. These people are really, truly, diabolically evil.”
  • Erick Erickson, radio host: “The Squad really is a House Freedom Caucus parody project, right? I refuse to believe these people aren’t part of a satirical project poking fun at the left.”
  • Matt Whitlock, political strategist: “The day after a man kills 5 people and injures 48 while out on a $1,000 bond (after trying to kill someone ELSE with his car), AOC comes out with a letter arguing that bails are too high. Can’t make it up.”
  • Tom Fitton, Judicial Watch: “The extremist Left opposes incarceration, in principle. Don’t be distracted by arguments about bail, criminal justice reform, etc. The communist revolutionaries believe the criminal justice system has no moral authority to jail anyone (other than their political enemies).”
  • Dan McLaughlin, National Review: “Today was really not the day to be pushing to get more dangerous people out on bail. Really, really not.”

But it isn’t just AOC. Another dumbass, Rashida Tlaib, was interviewed by Axios reporter Jonathan Swan about a bill she proposed that would release all federal prisoners. It didn’t go well for her:

This is the problem with Leftists. They are so busy tearing down the systems of the United States, they have no answer as to the damage that could be done not do they have a replacement to the system they’re tearing apart.

She also knows that her bill will cause a severe backlash. It will make lives worse for a lot of people. She is lying about who it will affect and the extent of the bill she wrote. She needs to make it look good. She doesn’t want you to know her bill would release terrorists, serial killers and the leadership of hate groups like the Aryan Nation. Hey, I think these people are mentally ill too but I don’t want them on the streets.

Finally, look at how blasé she is about it. Her stupid bill is not going to affect her life. She is an elite. She has private security. It’s our lives that are going to be f-ed.

Conclusion

I have said this before and I’ll say it again. I think there should be some reforms. I think there should be some rehabilitation for prisoners if they are going to get out. I think prisoners should work in meaningful ways to help that rehabilitation.

But I also believe that prison is there for one real reason: punishment. It’s justice for the victim. Prison should be the lack of freedom, it should be miserable and it should be hard. And, if someone is there for life, we shouldn’t give a damn about their suffering, comfort or rehabilitation. They should get stuck in their cells and rot.

Episode 449 – That’s Kind of Some Dark News

Joe Biden meets with Xi Jinping of China. It doesn’t go well.

The Washington Post, in a surprise, complains about the Uyghur genocide.

And a former Chinese dissident gives a stark warning to the United States.

 

Accomplished Nothing…Again

Joe Biden had a three hour virtual meeting with Xi Jinping yesterday. It didn’t start well for old Joe. The first thing that Xi said was his greeting and then he referred to Joe as his “old friend”, something that Joe Biden and Jen Psaki adamantly said Xi wasn’t. I just thought this was funny. The Chinese monitor everything that happens here. Xi knew Biden has been saying that he wasn’t friends with Xi and didn’t trust Xi. He knew there was a lot of friction between the Right and Left with the relationship he has with Chinese companies and the Chinese government. This was an awesome troll by Xi.

This shows a bunch of things though:

  • Joe Biden is not respected by Xi.
  • He sees Biden as weak.
  • This is also a way to shake Biden, something he probably believes will be easy to do.
  • Xi knows the United States better than the United States knows China.
  • And nothing was going to get done in this three hour meeting.

Again, it was a troll. It was a psychological game Xi was playing.

So the meeting went on and nothing got done. Some of the highlights:

  •  They talked about climate change. Biden asked Xi to cut down on his emissions and Xi said no. No pushback from Biden.
  • They talked about Taiwan and the One China Policy. China stated that Biden stated that he did not support Taiwan’s independence. Xi threatened Biden that any help to the Taiwanese, he would be “playing with fire”. This basically means, Taiwan is done.
  • Biden asked Xi to follow through on Trump’s trade agreements which China has not lived up to. China said no. Only good news is Biden is going to keep the tariffs in place.
  • The origins of the China virus and the use of gain-of-function was never brought up.
  • There was no talks about boycotting the Winter Olympics in China this year (more on that later).
  •  Biden talked about human right violations by China. Xi told Bden that China would not be lectured about how they did things by foreign governments. He was will to talk but would not formulate policies or make promises.
    • Well, I guess the genocide of the Uyghurs is going to continue. You know, the forced abortions, sterilizations, re-education, torture, rape and killing of a group because they are Muslim.
    • The are about a million Uyghurs. Who cares though.
    • That should have been enough to pull out of the Olympics in China.

Fox News called the meeting the Seinfeld Summit, making fun of the fact that the summit was about nothing but don’t kid yourself. China scored a win here. A big one.

  • They said they would continue the unfair trade practices.
  • They were going to continue to pump CO2 into the air.
  • They are going to continue the cyber warfare and stealing our technology.
  • They will not alter any of their inhumane practices.
  • They are going to take over Taiwan.
  • They didn’t have to talk about the China virus.
  • And they will get to have their propaganda through the Winter Olympics, putting on a show for the world and the United States will be there and be amazed.

But worst of all, Xi put Biden in his place and, if he needed anymore confirmation, knows that Biden is weak. Be prepared for China to become more brazen over the next few years.

This From the Washington Post?

Speaking of the Olympics, the Washington Post released an op-ed that really surprised me.

It is called China is Perfecting a 21st -Century Method of Destroying an Entire Paper by Fred Hiatt. The piece is short but is important. It is about the genocide of the Uyghurs and how the Winter Olympics are going to be held only a couple of hours west of the site. It’s a short piece, but very important.

China’s Communist leaders, innovative in so many ways, appear to be perfecting a 21st-century approach to genocide.

With the Beijing Olympics less than three months away, will Coca-Cola and other sponsors of the Games celebrate with China while this is taking place? While, a few hours’ flight due west of the stadiums and ice rinks, an entire people is being slowly, deliberately erased?

This is where I think the Washington Post gets it a little wrong. Why shouldn’t sponsors continue to support the Olympics? Half their stuff is made in China and the United States government won’t even do anything about it.

We have learned to think of genocide as industrial-scale slaughter: gas chambers, killing fields, mass graves. A report published last week by the U.S. Holocaust Museum’s Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide, “To Make Us Slowly Disappear,” suggests that China may have found a different way, more insidious if no less monstrous.

The campaign against the Uyghur population of western China, a Muslim minority of about 12 million people inside a nation of more than 1 billion, began with conventional discrimination, escalated to intense surveillance and mass detentions, and now includes forcible sterilization and insertion of IUDs; separation of men and women through incarceration, forced migration and coerced marriages of Uyghur women to men from the ethnic Han majority; and mass kidnapping of Uyghur children, taken from their parents and placed in state “boarding schools.”

Thought this crap was over in the 20th century? Nope. Welcome to communism.

The campaign is not without terrible violence, torture and killing, as survivor accounts make clear. But, the report says, it hinges on something else: “coercive interventions of the Chinese government to prevent sizable numbers of Uyghurs from coming into being.”

This suggests that the deliberate goal is “to biologically destroy the group, in whole or in substantial part.”

One of the missions of the Holocaust Museum is “to do for victims of genocide today what was not done for the Jews of Europe.” The seriousness with which it accepts this responsibility is reflected in the meticulous caution of the well-documented report: Although both the Trump and Biden administrations have declared that China is committing genocide against the Uyghurs, the museum says it is “gravely concerned that the Chinese government may be committing genocide.”

Uncertainty is what China wants; it has constructed a formidable information blockade. Uyghur scholars were among the first targets of the mass detention campaign. Foreign scholars, correspondents and think-tank experts are kept out of the Xinjiang region where the crimes are being committed — and increasingly out of China altogether. And China attempts to silence even Uyghurs living abroad by locking up and abusing the relatives back home of anyone who dares speak out.

No one has been more victimized by this barbarity than the reporters of Radio Free Asia, who have done more than anyone in the past five years to reveal the truth.

“The Chinese government are very professional on how to hide their crimes,” one of those reporters, Gulchehra Hoja, said at a forum organized by the museum last week. Hoja, about whom I’ve written before, knows this all too well: Trying to silence her, the Chinese government locked up, as usual without charge or trial, her brother, her mother, her cousins, their spouses — nearly two dozen relatives in all.

They are not hiding it. They are not denying it. They are telling us that it’s none of our business. A question I have for you is what do you think is happening to the Hong Kong dissidents? You know, the people who just disappear? China has been doing this a long time. I’ll even go so far as to say they haven’t stopped doing it since Mao.

As a result, we have indications, alarming snippets, satellite evidence — but far from the whole story.

The report says between 1 million and 3 million people are detained; Hoja says she believes the higher number, but it can’t be proven.

The report refers to more than 880,000 Uyghur children being put in boarding facilities — often after their parents are illegally detained — but that was only through 2019.

Researchers uncover dramatic drops in Uyghur birth rates — in 2019, “at least 186,400 fewer children were born in Xinjiang compared to what would have been expected if birth rates had remained static at the pre-2017 baseline,” the report says — but then China hides more data, so reports are dated, fragmentary and, almost certainly, far less terrible than the truth.

What is to be done? The report calls on China, which proclaims its innocence, to allow a U.N.-authorized commission access to Xinjiang to investigate. Certainly it should be at the top of President Biden’s agenda when he holds a tele-summit with President Xi Jinping on Monday.

Those are pretty heavy statistics and this is just what we know. This is also just with the persecution of the Uyghurs. Like I said, this does not include dissidents.

Of course Biden is not going to do anything about it. He’s weak. He’s senile. He doesn’t want any problems with China. He’s probably compromised by China thanks to his garbage son. But worse, Biden wants the United States to be like China. We’ll get to that in a few minutes too.

Hoja puts it more simply: “Please, I ask international community, break silence,” she said. “This is not a Uyghur tragedy. This is a human tragedy.”

Will Coca-Cola and other Olympic sponsors really just pretend none of it is happening? “We stand with those seeking justice and equality,” chairman and CEO James Quincey declared last year.

On its website, the company boasts of being the longest continuous sponsor of the International Olympic Committee because they share the “same core values of friendship, respect, inclusion, integrity and excellence.”

At a congressional hearing in July, Coca-Cola executive Paul Lalli said the sponsors have no say in where the Games take place. “We support and follow the athletes wherever they compete,” Lalli said.

That may be true. Also true: There will be no “justice and equality” for the Uyghur women being kicked, raped and sterilized as the ice-dancing competition unfolds; no “respect and inclusion” for Uyghur infants being seized from their parents as skiers race down the slalom course.

“The future of a people may depend on swift, coordinated action by global actors,” the report says.

Or we all can pretend it’s not happening, grab a Coke and enjoy the Games.

Like I said, Hiatt is focusing only on sponsors, specifically Coke. I don’t drink Coke because it’s bad for me but also because of the reasons he’s talking about. But he only scratches the surface of the problem. I don’t know what Coke did to piss him off but Coke is not the only sponsor. What about Intel, Omega, Panasonic, Samsung, Toyota, just to name a few.

What about the companies that manufacture their goods in China like Apple, Nike, Addidas, Acer, Banana Republic, Crabtree & Evelyn and Dell, just to name a few. Shouldn’t they be condemned for using slave labor to manufacture their good just to sell them to us?

What about the United States government? Why aren’t we putting sanctions on China? Why aren’t we tariffing the crap out of China to force American manufacturers back to America? Better yet, why are we sending our Olympians to China in three months?

I love the article because it brings up the terror that the Chinese communist party is putting upon its people and all communist countries. The Soviet Union had its gulags. Cuba had work camps. Nazi Germany had its concentration camps.

On the Spot

I have a couple of clips from the news show Firing Line. On it is Chinese dissident, Ai Weiwei. He had some dire words for the United States and their condition. The person interviewing him is Margaret Hoover.

Some things:

  • Hoover is trying to get Weiwei to say the Trump is a authoritarian. Watch the video and see her face when he says that Trump was not. But this was not the important part of the clip.
  • “You are already in an authoritarian state, you just don’t know it.” This is a shocking statement.
    • The system (education, entertainment, big business, tech, media, even the FBI and military) is all Leftist.
    • Joe Biden is a Leftist and he has the backing of the system. He’s already asserting himself as an authoritarian.
      • The mask and vaccine mandates.
      • The border crisis.
      • High taxes.
      • Inflation.
      • Energy prices.
      • All of this is not a problem but a feature. It is used for control.
  • Political correctness is the true evil. It creates groups that cannot get along because these group see themselves as, not only right, but divine. And they see the other group as evil. You see this on a daily basis with cancel culture.
  • This has brought up by many American political philosophers (Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles and Mark Levin). But they said that we weren’t there yet. Weiwei says we are already there.

This is a pretty stark statement. Very uncomfortable. But I do have some good news for you. Panic not. At least not yet.

Here is Weiwei saying how political correctness is infecting people:

This is brilliant. Because of the language barrier his point might be muddled but he’s saying we are bombarded with information from the Internet and social media. But we don’t understand that information. Most people have limited life experience. Then, they internalize the information and make it part of their belief system. They get that information confirmed by whatever they decide to read and reject anything that counters that belief or “knowledge”.

With the example of China, people like socialism. I get it, it’s a great idea. But it’s dependent on people being perfect and completely alike, which we aren’t so it always fails.

The second part, he’s saying something I have always believed and you may have heard me say this multiple times:

“We need a war.”

The United States has become fat and lazy. We have it too good. Even the poor have televisions, cars and smart phones. Joe Biden is losing control of the Middle East. Afghanistan is a disaster. Pakistan told us to kick rocks and refuse to let us use their air bases. China made a deal with Afghanistan and soon will be occupying a couple of out bases. Iran is about to have a nuclear bomb (if they don’t have one by now).

An Iranian-based group in Yemen has stormed the United States Embassy. They have taken hostages, intelligence and equipment.

The Free Beacon reported:

A group of Houthi rebels reportedly stormed the U.S. compound on Wednesday seeking “large quantities of equipment and materials,” according to regional reports translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. The raid comes just five days after the Houthis kidnapped Yemeni nationals who work for the U.S. embassy. “The alleged raid comes after the Houthis kidnapped three Yemeni nationals affiliated with the U.S. Embassy from one of the employee’s private residences in Sana’a on November 5,” according to MEMRI. At least 22 other Yemenis were kidnapped by the Houthis in recent weeks, “most of whom worked on the security staff guarding the embassy grounds,” according to MEMRI. 

So now we have hostages in Afghanistan and Yemen. Hell, that worse than Jimmy Carter.

The administration said:

“We call on the Houthis to immediately vacate it and return all seized property. The U.S. government will continue its diplomatic efforts to secure the release of our staff and the vacating of our compound, including through our international partners.”

This isn’t going to stop. The United States is seen as weak right now, thanks to Joe Biden. We look like we’re more worried about using the right pronouns and racism rather than the real threats in the world.

It’s Over

The Kyle Rittenhouse trial has ended the evidentiary portion of the trial. So what’s left?

  • Closing arguments.
  • Juror instructions.
  • Deliberations.

But first, the judge has some decisions to make.

  • Does he drop more charges? Like attempted murder of the guy who admitted he aimed a gun at Rittenhouse? He’s already dropped the curfew violation.
  • Does he do a directed verdict? The prosecution has not only not proved their case but their witnesses have proven Rittenhouse’s case. The case also looks completely political. The media has convicted him. The FBI was hiding video they took.
  • Does he rule that this is a mistrial with prejudice? That would be the same as a directed verdict.

The reality is judges don’t like doing any of this. There is a very good chance he is going to allow the case to go to the jury. If the jury votes guilty, there is a great chance the judge throws out the verdict and releases him. There is also a very good chance the judge would allow him to go on his own reconsents until his appeals are pushed through.

Next week is going to be an interesting week and expect fireworks no matter what the verdict is.

What do I mean about fireworks no matter what the verdict?

Black Lives Matter and Antifa are going to riot again in Kenosha. No matter what. Kyle Rittenhouse needs to get the death penalty for Kenosha to avoid rioting and, then, only maybe. We are already seeing this is happening in other parts of the country.

In New York City, Eric Adams, a former cop and the mayor elect who will relieve that incompetent and ground hog killer, Bill de Blasio. He has sworn he will bring law and order to the streets and end all this “defund the police” crap.

By the way, he’s also black. That’s what he’s run on. That is his campaign promise.

Well, the New York City chapter of BLM said they will light the city up if Adams tries to bring back some of the police’s special forces which is what he promised to do.

Hawk Newsome, co-founder of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York, and his sister Chivona Newsome, also a co-founder of the group, threatened civil unrest and violence if Adams kept to his campaign pledge.

Hawke said:

“If he thinks that they’re going to go back to the old ways of policing, then we are going to take to the streets again. There will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed because we believe in defending our people.

“So there is no way that he is going to let some Gestapo come in here and harm our people. We pray for peace but … prepare for the worst.”

His sister added:

“We will shut the city down. We will shut down City Hall, and we will give him hell and make it a nightmare.”

The Newsomes and Adams held a meeting before his comments. When Newsome threatened New York City, Adams went ballistic:

“You’re on the ground: Stop the violence in my community. I’m holding you accountable.

“Don’t hold me accountable, Being the mayor, being the borough president, being the state senator — I put my body on the line for my community, so I’m not here for folks to come and say, ‘Eric, we’re gonna hold you accountable.’

“No, it’s us. We need to do this together.”

Hey, Eric, they aren’t going to help you. They think you’re a racist even though you’re a Democrat and black. They think you’re a racist because anyone that is part of the system is a racist.

I hope Adams has the balls to back up his words. These people are playing for keeps. This is a war. He needs not to be afraid of getting his hands dirty and throwing these pieces of garbage in prison.

  • I think this is “old man disease”. I don’t know because Joe Biden definitely has his prejudices.
    • He presided over Robert Byrd’s funeral. Robert Byrd was a Grand Cyclops for the KKK.
    • He said you can’t go into a 7-11 without hearing an Indian accent.
    • He called Barrack Obama a “clean, good looking and smart man”.
    • He said that “poor kids were as smart as white kids”.
  • Here’s the problem I see that will let me give him a break. I think he misspoke. I think he meant to say, “the Negro Leagues” not that Satchel Paige was a Negro.
  • But f-him. Joe Biden is a racist. If I’m a racist because I don’t think people should burn down buildings, he’s can be a racist for saying what he’s said.
    • Barrack Obama banned the use of the word “Negro” when he was president and Joe was vice president.
    • I listened to some people who are black and they don’t like the term, “Negro”. They say it’s not much different than the N-word.
  • I can’t be too upset that he insulted black people. He insults people, no matter their race, on a daily basis. So why should people of color be immune to the insults.
  • This is the Joe Biden people elected. That’s democracy. And we are getting democracy good and hard.

 

This Is Completely Accurate

You may have noticed I rushed through those stories. Heck, you may have been relieved I rushed through those stories. That’s because the Wall Street Journal ran an opinion piece called Millennials, Put Away Childish Political Things by Mary Eberstadt. I think it’s an important article because it hits on everything that is failing in our culture.

It’s not just about Millennials. It messes with Gen Z and the later generations. Here it is:

As the election results of 2021 suggest a chill in the air for the left, the time has come to talk to younger voters—millennials and Generation Z—about America’s future. The message can be distilled in a single sentence: You’ve been robbed.

You have been robbed of something treasured by millions of less-literate Americans before you: knowledge and appreciation of your own country, and its symphonic, tumultuous, sometimes riven and always illuminating history.

According to some of today’s loudest and most influential voices, the U.S. is an irredeemable cesspool of racism and bigotry. This lie has resulted in a wide patriotism gap. In 2020, according to one poll, under a quarter of Democrats surveyed said they were extremely proud to be American, as opposed to almost three-quarters of Republicans. Only a third of Americans your age say the same.

Ask yourselves why. Most of us wouldn’t trash-talk our families. Most of us wouldn’t trash-talk our neighborhoods. Think about that the next time someone trash-talks your national home and neighborhood, your country.

This is a tremendous introduction but, right off, I see a huge problem. That problem involves the things that she’s goin to talk about throughout the article. Unfortunately, she does not address how to get the youth to that point that they have lost.

One such figure, impresario of the New York Times’s “1619 Project,” says she has never regarded herself as “particularly patriotic.” Another, whose sulfurous racialism permeates elite education, says that he has never felt free in the U.S., even as his every grievance is celebrated and subsidized. If they have such a low opinion of America, what makes you think they care about Americans—including you?

That’s a great question that has been answered over the last couple of years through the riots, tearing down of statues, crime, drug addiction and cancel culture. They don’t like Americans. Especially Americans that like their country.

Many of today’s young have been robbed, too, of another source of immaterial wealth: the consolations and joys of family life. This theft is due in part to generational arithmetic. Today’s younger adults hail from smaller networks of kinship than earlier generations. You are more likely to have lacked a father at home and to have had fewer siblings, cousins, uncles and aunts than your forbears.

The family deficit is also a consequence of ideas. Generations of thinkers have disparaged the family as the enemy of utopian schemes. In their depictions, home and hearth amount to a slaughterhouse of dreams and aspirations, especially for women. To the contrary: Unprecedented rates of abortion, fatherlessness and divorce, far from liberating you, have subtracted actual and potential loved ones from your lives. No wonder surveys show that young people are the loneliest Americans.

Absolutely correct! The family, made of a father and mother, has been demonized by the Left. But it started back in the 19th century with Karl Marx. According to revisesociaology.com, Marx said:

“Marxists argue that the nuclear family performs ideological functions for Capitalism – the family acts as a unit of consumption and teaches passive acceptance of hierarchy. It is also the institution through which the wealthy pass down their private property to their children, thus reproducing class inequality.
This is a communist/Marxist philosophy. BLM believes in destroying the nuclear family. But the family has some very important functions:
  • Teaches societal norms.
  • Establishes morality.
  • Teaches empathy (mother) and chivalry (father).
  • Establishes faith.
  • Creates community.

Some of you have been robbed of another rich inheritance: organized religion. Men and women throughout the ages concluded that humanity exists within some form of a sacred order. Alongside that understanding of the divine flourished the greatest art and science, architecture and music and human creation at large that our species has ever devised. Permanent membership in “none of the above” secularism risks relinquishing your own cultural inheritance: Western civilization.

Marxists/communists hate religion. That’s because people do not see government as God, they see God as God. There is a higher power. But every secular society always seems to be missing something. They are missing hope.

This brings us to the political choice before you. Today’s neo-Marxism and identity politics seek to co-opt your youthful energies into a lifetime of performative rancor. Is that what you want?

The left tells you that your fellow citizens are racists, fascists, sexists, bigots and haters. This relentless negativity obliterates youthful hopes. It shrivels the youthful imagination. Worst of all, it shrinks your hearts.

Young people are designed by nature to love and to be loved with energy and magnanimity. Today’s misanthropes tell you the opposite: that humanity is a toxin on the planet, unworthy of reproduction. This counsel couldn’t be more wrong—especially for you. If loneliness is the problem, putting more people in your lives with marriage and children is the self-evident solution.

One thing Marxists want is unhappiness. This isn’t something I’m making up, it is a policy choice. The reason is communist/Marxist governments want a perpetual revolution. Leaders from countries like North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela are constantly bringing up the revolution in their speeches. The Cuban government has been talking about the revolution for 60 years. How does this help them to make their people miserable? People will always think they are heading toward utopia and they just have to suffer a little longer.

But, we know, the suffering never stops. When I speak to a socialist or communist, the first thing I ask is, “Have you ever been to a socialist country?” The answer is always, “no”.

The woke arrogantly claim to own you simply by virtue of your youth. That’s because they have a lot to sell you, in commerce as well as politics. Corporations fly under cool-kid flags to market harmful products. Consider the hawking of marijuana to your demographic. Or how some tech companies have succeeded in addicting millions to social media, with harrowing consequences we’re only beginning to understand. All these lurches for your wallet might make you question the left’s authority.

Completely correct. Unfortunately, this is the Catch-22 of capitalism. Yes, it creates tremendous innovation because it allows for the competitive spirit of human nature. But human nature can be corrupted and we do see that. But socialism, which represses human nature, creates nothing.

Look at China. China’s “powerful” economy is a paper tiger. If it wasn’t for American manufacturers like Apple and Nike, their economy would be nothing. That hypersonic missile was not invented by China. It is American technology. They innovate nothing. The steal their innovations.

Conservatism isn’t a monolith. Conservatives disagree over all sorts of ideas and policies, at times profoundly. That’s the point. Diverse as it is, conservatism is one community where you will find authentic debate—even as sanity and agreement on a few big things still prevail.

In place of today’s cynical exploitation of race, conservatism says Martin Luther King Jr. In place of identity politics that flies under rival banners and denies our common home, it says only the American flag should fly over a U.S. Embassy. In place of ever more fastidiously defined factions, it says one nation indivisible. And in place of indifference to the sufferings incurred by family decline, family subversion and postmodern cultural chaos, conservatism seeks revival.

This is the room where the grown-ups are. This is where you deserve to be too—you who know from the inside your generation’s poignant realities. You are overdue for the restoration of America’s undiminished promise and for upward moral mobility.

I also want to point out that Eberstadt skipped something very important. She skipped that the institutions are normalizing the Marxist theories. This is the tough part of bring patriotism back to our kids. When children are in school being told the United States is bad, it gets confirmed by the media and the entertainment industry romanticizes it, it’s no surprise the current generations aren’t getting married, having children out of wedlock and not looking to God or religion. A lot of those generations have been brainwashed.

I see the only way to take control of the future is for conservatives to take back the institutions or create parallel institutions. Then we can raise our kids in those institutions.

But then explain to me how this country was energy independent last year, actually exporting fuel, and this year, Joe Biden is on his knees, begging OPEC to produce more oil to lower gas prices in the United States. Joe Biden, single-handedly, has destroyed our energy industry. With gas up $1.50 a gallon, what does old Joe do? How about shutdown another pipeline?

This is not a new story. Gretchen Whitmer wanted to shut down the L-5 pipeline from Canada to Michigan. Energy for the entire Midwest is supported by this pipeline. A million barrels are pumped per day. Now Whitmer couldn’t cancel the contracts on her own. But, with the support of the Biden administration…

So here’s the question I have for you: Is destroying the energy industry in the United States part of the Biden administration’s goal.

There’s a lot of evidence of this. Barrack Obama said Americans should get used to no traveling like they currently did. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that all travel in the United States will be done by rail. No cars, no planes. What’s the easiest way to eliminate travel and fossil fuel usage? Make fuel so expensive and hard to come, by no one can use it. This is Biden’s plan.

They all have opinion articles that tell us we need to get used to buying less. This will help the environment. This will make us a better country. This will lead to Utopia.

Afghanistan Update

The Pentagon is admitting that since President Biden withdrew all U.S. troops from Afghanistan, several dozen immediate family members of U.S. service members are still trapped there.

The memo from the Pentagon states:

DOD places a high priority on immediate family members of U.S. citizen or LPR military personnel (active duty, reservists, and members of the National Guard) and DoD civilian employees. Immediate family members eligible for facilitated departure from Afghanistan are defined by U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services as the spouses and unmarried children under the ageof21of U.S. citizens and LPR military personnel and DoD civilian employees.

We understand that many U.S. military personnel and DOD civilian employees have extended family remaining in Afghanistan. DoD recognizes that these extended family members also have a connection to the United States; we will continue to assist State/CARE as they develop mechanisms that may facilitate the safe departures for such individuals from Afghanistan in the future.

Basically, the Pentagon is admitting there are a ton of U.S. citizens and family of service members in Afghanistan. They are finally admitting it. Why now? Because they think the population has forgotten. And they may have. But one thin I do know, something we may have always known, the government has been lying to us.

There is going to be another arrest in the John Durham investigation and Igor Danchenko has pleaded not guilty today. That’s good news. But there’s bad news. There will not be a sweeping arrests in the probe. I thought this would happen. We are not going to see arrests of high profile characters like Andrew McCabe of even Christopher Steele.

But the damage has been done for the Democrats.

Adam Schiff went on The View and was questioned hard by Morgan Ortagus. It didn’t go well for Schiff:

  • He continues to go after Trump. This is what Democrats do. They always try to raise the shiny bauble called Donald Trump to bring attention away from their sins.
  • Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort and the other campaign guys whose names I can’t remember did go to jail. He’s lying.
  • What does he mean that there was “no way they knew someone was lying to Christopher Steele”? That’s where you investigate. He brought up an impeachment based off this stuff. He said he had hard evidence that Trump was colluding with the Russians.
  • He also refuses to acknowledge that when Trump saw issues with his people, he dealt with it. He refuses to give an inch to Trump.
  • Finally, the smoke screen he’s talking about was created by him. Trump was not colluding with the Russians. That has been proven.
  • I’ll skip the erection misspeak. Everyone else is talking about it.
  • Schiff’s entire case for impeaching Trump was the Steele Dossier. He’s saying Trump is guilty even though his main piece of evidence is bunk.

This Just Keeps Getting Worse

A new poll was released on Sunday and the news just keeps getting worse for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The main line of the poll is that over 60% of those polled do not want Biden to run in 2024 (if he makes it that far).

The poll is from USA Today and Suffolk University.

Here are the takeaways from the poll:

  • “Nearly half of those surveyed, 46%, say Biden has done a worse job as president than they expected, including 16% of those who voted for him. Independents, by 7-1 (44%-6%), say he’s done worse, not better, than they expected.”
  • “Nearly two-thirds of Americans, 64%, say they don’t want Biden to run for a second term in 2024. That includes 28% of Democrats.”
  • “Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval rating is 28% – even worse than Biden’s. The poll shows that 51% disapprove of the job she’s doing.”
  • “If the election were today, those surveyed say, they would vote for their Republican congressional candidate over the Democratic one by 46%-38%, an advantage that would bode well for GOP hopes of gaining a majority in the House and the Senate.”
  • 75% believe that the Build Back Better bill would hurt their families.
  • A strong majority of Americans, 66%, say that the country is headed in the wrong direction, while only 20% say it is headed in the right direction.

Legendary Democrat strategist James Carville said during an interview last week:

And that is exactly right. People don’t like where the Democrat party is going or all these weird social changes. People don’t like being called racists and stupid for not understanding what the Left is doing. Bill Maher said the same thing this week.

But the Dems and Biden aren’t learning anything. They are suffering from heavy arrogance. They think they need to go harder and faster. They think that not spending trillions of dollars is the reason they lost last Tuesday.

The plan was to be voted on this month and be implemented in February. It will include:

  • Discouraging the concept of gifted students.
  • Inject social justice concepts into math including gender theory and inequality.
  • Replacing high level classes.

The New York Times reported:

The California guidelines, which are not binding, could overhaul the way many school districts approach math instruction. The draft rejected the idea of naturally gifted children, recommended against shifting certain students into accelerated courses in middle school and tried to promote high-level math courses that could serve as alternatives to calculus, like data science or statistics.

The draft also suggested that math should not be colorblind and that teachers could use lessons to explore social justice — for example, by looking out for gender stereotypes in word problems, or applying math concepts to topics like immigration or inequality. …

Like some of the attempted reforms of decades past, the draft of the California guidelines favored a more conceptual approach to learning: more collaborating and problem solving, less memorizing formulas.

It also promoted something called de-tracking, which keeps students together longer instead of separating high achievers into advanced classes before high school.

This is insane.

The idea for California is student who first realizes he is not good at math just believes he’s not good at math. I know the feeling. I’m not good at math. My son-in-law, great at math. But California believes it can make math more equitable if they just take the math that is hard out of math. There cannot be those people that are good at math and that talent be babied to its ends. We don’t want any of these kids feeding their talents so they can build rockets, launch people into space or invent the greatest electric vehicle.

By the way, do you want to fly in a plane designed with someone who flourished in math due to the equity that was created?

Well, this isn’t going unanswered. The proposed framework has received condemnations from hundreds of STEM field professionals, educators, and public officials who have signed on to an open letter released in July to California Governor Gavin Newsom (D), State Superintendent Tony Thurmond, the State Board of Education, and the Instructional Quality Commission.

The letter stated:

“The proposed framework would, in effect, de-mathematize math. For all the rhetoric in this framework about equity, social justice, environmental care and culturally appropriate pedagogy, there is no realistic hope for a more fair, just, equal and well-stewarded society if our schools uproot long-proven, reliable and highly effective math methods and instead try to build a mathless Brave New World on a foundation of unsound ideology.

“A real champion of equity and justice would want all California’s children to learn actual math — as in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus — not an endless river of new pedagogical fads that effectively distort and displace actual math.”

I’ve said this in the past. Math is objective. Numbers and formulas do not have biases. They don’t care about one’s race or social class. We have gotten a space ship to Pluto (math), took digital pictures (math) and sent them back to Earth (math). We’ve landed on the moon (math). We’ve invented the Internet. You know what computers speak? That’s right, they speak math.

While living your life tomorrow, think of all the things you do and think about how the precision and objective perfection of math affects your life. Think about the things you use on a daily basis and try to figure out if math was necessary to create those tools.

Then think about what we’d be missing if math was retarded in the same way California wants to do.

Clown Abortion? Really?

Saturday Night Live has gone off the rails. Now the show has not been really funny in a very long time. I stopped watching a long time ago. But they really overstepped this time and I’m not sure it came across the way they wanted it to.

This clip is about the Texas anti-abortion law. They decide to make it funny my bringing in a female clown who made the abortion she had before her 23rd birthday as part of her clown act. Listen to a snippet of it

Some things here:

  • I’ll just say this right off. The sketch is not funny. It’s not even clever. These “clowns” at the pro-abortion rallies basically say the same thing.
  • The laughing of the audience is truly sick.
  • We are living in a sick society when over half the country believes that abortion is killing babies and the other half thinks it’s nothing more than a joke.
    • I’m sorry, but there have been 60 million abortions since Roe versus Wade. For people like me, who think abortion is murder, that is genocide is way worse than what the Nazis did. Yet I’m a fascist and Nazi for being against abortion.
    • This is completely one-sided. This doesn’t try to sympathize with the anti-abortionists. And they wonder why their ratings are so down.
    • Louis CK did a great act about abortion. But he took both sides. In fact, he was a tad more sympathetic to the anti-abortion side.
  • There was something that I think I caught watching this. I could be wrong because the acting on SNL isn’t really a quality thing. There’s kind of a sadness about her performance. Almost an embarrassment about killing a baby. This doesn’t seem like a celebration but a resignation.

Is This a Joke?

Yes, it is.

Christmas is coming so you know that the anti-fun Left is going to come out and attack it. We have already heard that Jesus is black. That happened last week. Since no one really knows the color of Jesus because no one cared about that sort of thing back then, we really don’t know the color of Jesus. I’ll go a step further, I really don’t care what the skin tone of Jesus was. He is a little beyond that.

But a judge has already overstepped his bounds. Cobb County Superior Court Chief Judge Robert Leonard has banned the Elf on a Shelf Christmas decoration. If you don’t know what Elf on a Shelf is, it is a Christmas decoration that bends much like the old Gumbys did. It is meant to sit on a shelf and watch your children to make sure they are being good so Santa Clause will give the kids a toy for Christmas instead of coal.

Well, kids probably aren’t getting coal because the cost of energy are too high. Reality is, kids are probably hoping for a piece of coal because heating the home is brutal. Then again, kids might not get a toy because the supply chain crisis is so bad that Santa can’t get resources needed to create the toys. The fact is, the only kids that will be getting toys are the illegal aliens that got $450K for crossing the border illegally. They can afford it.

Anyway, this judge released a statement about the evil little Christmas decorations:

“Tired of living in Elf on the Shelf tyranny? Not looking forward to the Elf forgetting to move and causing your kids emotional distress? I am a public servant and will take the heat for you. My gift to tired parents.

“Inexplicably, Elves sometimes move and don’t move overnight. When those Elves do not move, it leaves our children of tender years in states of extreme emotional distress.”

This anti-Santa, evil judge than released a tweet with a statement with his order:

That bastard.
