ACB’s Opening Statement Leaked

Amy Coney Barret is starting her testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee today. This should be absolute fun. I am planning to see sweating, screaming, gnashing of teeth and probably some cussing. I can’t wait. On Sunday, part of the Notorious ACB (and I say this because it pisses off liberals) released part of her opening statement.

Judge Amy Coney Barrett will praise her mentor, the late Justice Antonin Scalia, and honor the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a brief series of remarks to open her Senate confirmation hearings Monday morning.

The four-page statement, issued to most major media outlets on Sunday, has Barrett focusing intently on her judicial qualifications and her theory of interpreting the law, rather than her background, family, or religion — something left-leaning and progressive activists have focused intently on over the past several weeks.

Instead, Barrett will address Democrats’ concerns that she will issue proclamations from the bench and “make law” with judicial rulings.

“Courts have a vital responsibility to enforce the rule of law, which is critical to a free society,” the statement reads. “But courts are not designed to solve every problem or right every wrong in our public life. The policy decisions and value judgments of government must be made by the political branches elected by and accountable to the People.”

ACB was a clerk for Antonin Scalia. She said:

“Justice Scalia taught me more than just law. He was devoted to his family, resolute in his beliefs, and fearless of criticism. And as I embarked on my own legal career, I resolved to maintain that same perspective. There is a tendency in our profession to treat the practice of law as all-consuming while losing sight of everything else. But that makes for a shallow and unfulfilling life.”

Her statement continues:

“When I was 21 years old and just beginning my career, Ruth Bader Ginsburg sat in this seat. She told the Committee, ‘What has become of me could only happen in America.’ I have been nominated to fill Justice Ginsburg’s seat, but no one will ever take her place. I will be forever grateful for the path she marked and the life she led.”

Politico called the statement “bland” and had nothing to do with any issues. Well, it’s an opening statement.

Democrats have said they might no attack her as much as we first thought. Her record is way too good. Her experience is way to heavy. And she has been through Senate confirmation process before. Anything the Dems can come up with now would seem desperate because it would have been brought up two years ago.

Senator Ted Cruz from Texas doesn’t think the Dems will back off. He said on Meet the Press:

“I hope we don’t see Senate Democrats turning it into a political circus. I think we’re going to see, by the way, some more procedural games and shenanigans. I don’t know what they’re going to do, whether it’s try to boycott meetings or try to impeach the president.”

“The delay tactics of the Democrats aren’t going to work. I think they are looking for anything to delay things even a day or two or three. We’ve managed to have hearings for months.”

“I believe we have the votes and I believe Judge Barrett on the merits is going to be confirmed and confirmed by the end of the month before Election Day.”

These Guys Need to Learn a Book

CNN host Jake Tapper repeatedly backed Biden campaign spokesperson Kate Bedingfield into a corner on Sunday morning over the Biden campaign’s recent remarks, or lack thereof, on the issue of court-packing.

Tapper played comments from Biden where the Democratic presidential candidate falsely claimed that what the Senate was doing by moving to confirm Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett was “not constitutional.”

Let’s listen to this idiot when she talks about putting a Supreme Court Justice before an election:

What the fuck is she talking about? The popularity of a law has nothing to do with the law. And, in this case, it is the law of the land. It is the supreme law. Do we know why the process to confirm Amy Coney Barrett is Constitutional? Because a Democrat would sue and try to take this to the Supreme Court. But they would lose in federal court. Because it’s Constitutional!!

• Even if Trump loses the election, he is still the President until January. He is President for four years. Not three and a half.
• Next, the Senate was elected, even expanded in 2018. The Senate wants this person in the Supreme Court, the Senate can vote on it. If the Senate doesn’t, they won’t. This same situation has happened 19 times in the past. It’s not unprecedented.
• Polls do not change the Constitution. This is where Tapper really hammered her.

But it gets better. This gal refused to answer anything about Biden packing the Supreme Court. Listen:

OK, here’s the question: Is Biden going to pack the court? Yes or no?

He has not answered that question fifteen times this week. That’s a lie. It’s also, correctly pointed out by Tapper, that Republicans and Trump do this throughout history. That is a lie. The last President who wanted to pack the court was Mr. New Deal, FDR. A Democrat.

Now, I want you to notice some thing:

• Jake Tapper really blew her out. he is, I hope, a classical liberal. He’s no Trump fan. His questions were very valid.
• Notice that Democrats just have diarrhea when they’re asked a question they don’t want to answer? A good Journalist calls them on it.

Here’s a news flash: Biden is going to pack the court, or try. There’s no guarantee that would happen.

• But this isn’t even the dumbest story. It’s just the story of a dumb person. Well, the next story is by a dumb person but he’s a Senator.

“The only court-packing that’s going on right now is going on with Republicans,” Biden insisted.

Court-packing, of course, has a very specific definition. As the Daily Wire noted Sunday, the practice, which originated with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt through the Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937, involves appointing “up to six additional justices to the Supreme Court for every justice older than 70 years, 6 months, who had served 10 years or more.”

“The U.S. Constitution set up America’s high court but did not establish how many justices should serve, leaving that up to Congress,” the Daily Wire’s Joseph Curl noted. “The Judiciary Act of 1789 put the number at six; that number rose to seven in 1807 and to nine in 1837. The number rose to 10 in 1863, then dropped back down to seven in 1866. In 1869, Congress raised the number of justices to nine, where it has stood ever since.”

But Democrats are now pressing the line that confirming judges to open seats — particularly conservative judges — constitutes “court-packing,” and the memo has gone out not only to competing politicos but also to left-leaning activists and sympathetic media figures.

The Washington Post targeted the children of Supreme Court Justice nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett on Friday, running a headline that suggests the children spread COVID-19 within their school, though the children have no ties to the three positive tests and have tested negative themselves.

Beth Reinhard, co-author of the article, posted on Twitter:

“Two students and teacher at school attended by SCOTUS nom Amy Coney Barrett’s kids test positive for coronavirus, two weeks after ‘superspreader’ White House event for ACB (Amy Coney Barrett). Parents are freaked out though no proven link.”

Beth Reinhard wrote the article with Tom Hamburger. They wrote:

“A private school in South Bend, Ind., attended by some children of President Trump’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett, notified parents late Thursday that two students and a teacher had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.”

Of course, in the next paragraph, the two said:

“The emails from the Trinity School principal came less than two weeks after the Barrett family was honored at a White House event attended by several people who subsequently tested positive for the virus, including President Trump. The principal’s announcement alarmed some school families, though there is no evidence linking the school infections to the White House event.”

And the coup d’tat of the article, which should have made this story completely irrelevant:

“A White House official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive health matters said Barrett’s children have tested negative, never showed symptoms and were kept out of school after revelations that some who attended the White House ceremonies had tested positive. The official did not specify how long the children stayed home but said the school approved their return to the classroom.”

Twitter went insane. The Washington Post and the two authors of the articles got absolutely roasted. The obvious problem is there is no proof, whatsoever, that the spread was because of Barrett’s children or Barrett or Trump. They said it in the article!

What really is annoying is how stupid the media thinks we are. This article literally said there was no evidence that the teachers and students got infected because of the Trump announcement of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Let’s talk about the hearings for the Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.

And Away We Go!

So the Amy Coney Barrett started her confirmation hearings yesterday. Not too interesting. Just a lot of people saying that Barrett is awesome. Barrett made a statement, praising Atonin Scalia, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and stating that she’s a textualist. It was a good statement. The dean of law at Notre Dame said she had surpassed during her tenure. Professors who did not believe in ACB’s philosophy said she was awesome.

But Democrats have a different idea. Here’s Pat Leahy, a Democrat from Vermont:

There are a couple of things here:

• He didn’t say it but he thinks that this whole thing is unconstitutional. It’s not.
• He said that she would eliminate healthcare. No evidence of that and there is no case about Obamacare that is going to appear in front of the Supreme Court. Or any other court. Trump wanted the individual mandate gone and it is.
• He talks about Roe vs. Wade. That’s stupid.
• That she will blow out environmental protections, voting rights, LGBTQ rights, workers right, blah, blah, blah. This is fear mongering.
• Finally, it’s about what the people want. This is just stupid. The people wanted a majority of senators. The people wanted President Trump. Trump has a fur year term. All Senators will be in office until 2021. That’s because they were voted in for full terms.

What’s ironic about this whole thing, which probably is not ironic, is the Democrats, four years ago, said the Senate should vote for an Obama justice right before an election. Listen:

This is annoying. The Democrats keeps saying that Republicans have no right to do this and this whole thing is unprecedented. But, in fact, this has happened about 29 times before. Of those 29 times, 17 jurists were confirmed. Don’t buy the Democrat lies.

So that the first day. The second day start with Democrats going full out. Barret was asked:

• If she was a racist.
• She was asked if she hated gay people.
• She was asked if she had ever sexually harassed someone.
• Whether or not she would end Roe vs. Wade.
• Whether she would end Obamacare and kill people.
• They talked about “dark money.” weird. Ted Cruz had a mic-drop moment.
• One guy, I think it was Dick Durbin, had so many graphics, he didn’t ask a single question of Barrett.
• Was she in league with Trump on…whatever.

OK, using the term “sexual preference” is not anti-LGBTQ. It’s just a term. A term that has been around for decades. A term that many Democrats have used many times in the not too recent past. She is the one who asked ACB if she actually ever sexually assaulted someone. If you look at the video, ACB’s face is just hysterical. One can tell she wonders if these people are nuts.

Finally, I’m not sure I believe in what Hirono thinks. Where are the scientific facts that say one is born gay? I haven’t seen any. So, this is kind of an assumption. And what’s the big deal anyway? You are a man and prefer to be with a woman, good for you. I prefer to be with a woman. Good for me. Bisexuals prefer to be with both men and women. That’s makes getting lucky at a bar really east. Good for them. All three are just fine. Doesn’t matter.

Now, what’s really disturbing about this is, within an hour of question by Hirono, Webster’s dictionary changed the meaning of “sexual preference.”  Now, the definition is:

See what the problem is? I will continue to use “sexual preference” because I was raised that way and I do not see how it is offensive. There is no scientific facts, and it has been researched, that proves what Hirono is claiming. And it ain’t exactly in the realm of the n-word.

OK, back to the confirmation hearing. Last but not least, Sen. John Cornyn really made Barrett look brilliant and it was all peaches and cream after that:

That’s right. All those idiots had to read from scripts for their speeches. All crafted and practiced. This brilliant woman walked in, listened and answered. She was a maestro. She blew all the Democrats out of the water and it looked so easy for her.

• When someone asked her about law, she answered succinctly.
• When someone threw precedence at her, she said she could not judge the judgement of others. Only the law based what’s in front of her at the time.
• When someone brought up an analogy to trip her up, she called it an analogy and refused to answer.
• When she was lectured, she remained silent and attentive.
• When someone tried to trap her, she pointed it out and refuse to answer.
• She answered the most insulting questions with grace.

She’s brilliant. She will get confirmed. Democrats have very little ammunition.

You know why I think Republicans are better than Democrats? Because I am tired of hearing how I am going to die all the time. I’m going to die because of climate change. I’m going to die because of the ACA being being replaced. We’re going to die because of racism. We’ll die because we can’t have an abortion.

If You Can’t Impeach, Say He’s Sick

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday announced legislation to create a commission that would allow Congress to oust a president from office, using the 25th Amendment, a day after she accused President Trump of being “in an altered state” from his coronavirus treatment.

Pelosi said:

“This is not about President Trump. He will face the judgment of the voters. But he shows the need for us to create a process for future presidents.”

Trump responded on Twitter:

“Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris,” Trump tweeted. “The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!”

Pelosi was joined at the Capitol by bill author Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., who said the coronavirus crisis has further shown the need for a succession plan in the event the president is incapacitated.

“We need to act. In times of chaos, we must hold fast to our Constitution. The 25th amendment is all about the stability of the presidency and the continuity of the office.”

So, essentially what Nancy wants to do is create a commission in the House of representatives that can determine if the President is capable of performing the duties of his office. If they determine he cannot, the 25th Amendment should be implemented.

First thing we should do is read the 25th Amendment. Once we read it, we can determine whether or not Crazy Nancy can do what she wants to do. Hint: I called her crazy. That should give all you need to know about whether she can do what she wants.

The 25th Amendment was written in 1789 and has been invoked several times including the death of JFK, the shooting of Ronald Reagan and during a coloscopy George Bush had in 2002. So it’s used. It’s made up of four sections. Let’s go over them:

Section 1

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Section 3

Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Section 4

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

So we read it. Notice something? The House of Representatives has no say in any of this. They just have to be informed. Definitely, no where in the Constitution says that the House can make a commission to determine the 25th Amendment. This just irritates the shit out of me. Here’s why:

• Bureaucracy- I hate bureaucracy with a passion. The EPA, created by Richard Nixon, is an example.
• Let me guess, every one of the members of this commission will be Democrats.
• The 25th Amendment is less than a page long. Have any of these people read the Constitution? The only way she can do this with any validity is to create a 28th Amendment editing the 25th Amendment.

Now, there could be two reasons she’s doing this:

• She thinks Trump is going to win and needs a way to harass him. Impeachment was a huge failure and may have cost the Democrats the House.
• She thinks Biden is going to win and wants an easy way to get him out.

I think it is the former because the 25th Amendment will be easy to obtain if Joe Biden is President. He’s barely alive right now. But we’ll see in 24 days.

Five Michigan men and a man from Delaware have been arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) from her vacation home, authorities said Thursday afternoon.

According to the criminal complaint, Adam Fox of Michigan, and Barry Croft of Delaware, were among a group of individuals who the FBI identified in early 2020 as wanting to take violent action against state governments in the name of the U.S. Constitution. The two were later joined by Ty Garbin, a leader of a Michigan-based militia group, which allegedly was already on the radar of law enforcement after a concerned member reported to police that he believed members were intent on killing officers.

U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider, of the Eastern District of Michigan, said:

“All of us can disagree about politics, but those disagreements should never, ever result in violence. The allegations in this complaint are deeply disturbing. We owe our thanks to the men and women of law enforcement who uncovered this plot and have worked so hard to protect Governor Whitmer.”

I agree. I think Whitmer is a tyrant. I also think she’s a sociopath committed to her own power. One can see that by watching her speak. She needs to be voted out of office. Not killed or kidnapped.

According to the complaint:

The conspirators often communicate via encrypted online platforms and use “code words” or phrases to describe their plans in a self-proclaimed effort to avoid law-enforcement detection. For example, on July 24, 2020, [Confidential Human Source 2] and GARBIN contacted FOX by telephone. The call was recorded by CHS-2. FOX said he had researched the Governor’s office online, and he believed that the Governor kept only a ceremonial office in Lansing. FOX wondered aloud whether the group just needed to “party it out, make a cake and send it,” in what CHS-2 believed was a coded reference to sending a bomb to the Governor. FOX discussed the need to train for the next three months to be ready to engage. FOX stated, “In all honesty right now . . . I just wanna make the world glow, dude. I’m not even fuckin’ kidding. I just wanna make it all glow dude. I don’t fuckin’ care anymore, I’m just so sick of it. That’s what it’s gonna take for us to take it back, we’re just gonna have to everything’s gonna have to be annihilated man. We’re gonna topple it all, dude. It’s what great frickin’ conquerors, man, we’re just gonna conquer every fuckin’ thing man.” FOX and GARBIN further discussed the need for the government to collapse because it has become so tyrannical.

After arriving back at GARBIN’s property, [Confidential Human Source 2] asked, “Everybody down with what’s going on?” and someone stated, “If you’re not down with the thought of kidnapping, don’t sit here.” GARBIN replied, “Oh no, we’re not kidnapping, that’s not what we’re doing,” which sparked general laughter. Amidst the laughter, another voice said, “No children!” and a voice added, “We’re adult napping.” FRANKS stated, “Kidnapping, arson, death. I don’t care.” The group then started discussing destroying the vacation home.

Of course, Whitmer and the media did what they usually do, they blamed Trump:

Everything is Trump’s fault. If Trump cured cancer, he would be blamed for killing a disease that brought money into the healthcare system. With her logic, it was Bernie Sanders’ fault for the congressional softball shooting that almost killed Steve Scalise.

And Trump has been condemning white supremacy for the last four years!

Can any credit be given to the Trump administration? If she wasn’t so busy defunding the police and releasing criminals, her administration might have caught these people.

This is an evil group. 99.9% of Americans think it is an evil group. The are not a white supremacists’ group. They are an antigovernmental group. They want an overthrow of the entire government. The Vice Presidential Debate

I saw the Vice Presidential debate twice. I saw it live on CNN and I saw it on the Louder with Crowder. It was a disaster for Kamala Harris. She got absolutely killed. I am not sure if it is because Mike Pence is a great debater or Kamala Harris is a crappy debater. Let’s look at the debate.

Mike Pence

• Mike Pence was calm, controlled and steady. Disciplined.
• There was a split screen. Pence never looked down or look away. He shook his head a few times but his demeanor never changed.
• He was the anti-Trump. Even though the media says he interrupted constantly, he didn’t.
• He brought out policies. He said what the Trump administration has done and what they are going to do.
• He defended the China virus policy brilliantly.
• He provided facts including statistics. These were not arguable.
• He let her talk herself into a corner.
• He ran long on a lot of questions. I would have shortened my answers and used my time for her to answer questions.
• He wasn’t entertaining. He seemed boring.

There was a instant that a fly landed on his head and stayed there for two minutes. For some reason, this became a thing for the media. We will get into that later. But the fly seems to be a thing.

Kamala Harris

She was terrible.

• She refused to answer about court packing. She was asked three times.
• She did not say she would end the filibuster.
• She never condemned Antifa.
• She never talked about the Biden policies.
• Orange man bad.
• She lied like crazy.
  • She lied about the China virus.
  • She lied about the Charleston comments. All that was debunked.
  • She lied about Trump’s comments about the military from The Atlantic. All that has been debunked.
• She could not counter any of Pence’s arguments.
• Her facial reactions were telling.

The Moderator

Susan Page was the moderator of the debate. She’s the Washington Bureau Chief for USA Today. So I expected this to be really biased against Pence. And it was. But she wasn’t terrible.

• She reminded everyone that there was not going to be any interruptions after every question. That’s good.
• She had a ton of leading questions. Pence dealt with that.
• She seemed to constantly cut off Pence. Though the time seemed equal, it didn’t seem like it.
• No follow up questions. Especially about court packing.
• She wrote the questions, definitely controlled the debate better than Chris Wallace, but the questions were skewed. No talk of Middle East Pease, the destruction of ISIS or the economy before the Chinese virus. Just Leftist talking points.

CNN also had a poll before the debate and after the debate on who would win. They were identical though Pence gained ground. It was a garbage poll from a garbage network. They knew who they were going to declare as winner. Problem is Kamala got killed and they had to come up with something. And the tried and true “sexist” thing is what they came up with.

This is Getting Uglier and Uglier

President Trump on Tuesday said he has “fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents” related to the Russia investigation and the FBI’s investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

Trump Tweeted:

“I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!”

“All Russia Hoax Scandal information was Declassified by me long ago,” Trump tweeted. “Unfortunately for our Country, people have acted very slowly, especially since it is perhaps the biggest political crime in the history of our Country.”

“Act!!!”

The president’s tweets come after Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified documents that revealed former CIA Director John Brennan briefed former President Obama on Hillary Clinton’s purported “plan” to tie then-candidate Donald Trump to Russia as “a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server” ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

The notes stated:

“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED]. CITE [summarizing] alleged approved by Hillary Clinton a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security service.”

A referral was sent to James Comey and then-Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok. That memo stated:

“The following information is provided for the exclusive use of your bureau for background investigative action or lead purposes as appropriate.”

“This memorandum contains sensitive information that could be source revealing. It should be handled with particular attention to compartmentation and need-to-know. To avoid the possible compromise of the source, any investigative action taken in response to the information below should be coordinated in advance with Chief Counterintelligence Mission Center, Legal. It may not be used in any legal proceeding—including FISA applications—without prior approval…”

“Per FBI verbal request, CIA provides the below examples of information the CROSSFIRE HURRICANE fusion cell has gleaned to date. An exchange [REDACTED] discussing US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s approval of a plan concerning US presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering US elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”

Jim Comey was interviewed by the Senate last week. Of course, he didn’t remember anything. How convenient. This whole thing has been a disaster. It has ruined the entire first term of Trump. Wasted tens of millions on an investigation that everyone knew was bullshit. And what was it for? It was to keep power and hide corruption.

This is another reason Biden can’t be President. If Biden becomes President, this investigation will end, especially since Biden and Obama were involved, and there will be no justice. Here’s the reality: someone needs to go to jail for this.

There’s Justice for You

Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple that stood in front of their home over the summer holding firearms as a large group of demonstrators marched by, were indicted on Tuesday on felony weapons and evidence tampering charges.

“Lawyer Joel Schwartz said he was told a grand jury indicted his clients on felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon and evidence tampering,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. “He said he had no details. A St. Louis court clerk said the indictment was filed Tuesday but that she was not authorized to provide a copy.”

Schwartz said, “I am not surprised that the grand jury indicted them but I’ll certainly be interested in what was presented to the grand jury.”

The couple was each charged by Democrat Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner in July with one felony count of brandishing a firearm.

“The government chooses to persecute us for doing no more than exercising our right to defend ourselves, our home, our property and our family and now we’re getting drug here time after time after time and for what?” Mark McCloskey said on Tuesday. “We didn’t fire a shot. People were violently protesting in front of our house and screaming death threats and threats of rape and threats of arson. Nobody gets charged but we get charged.”

Let’s review the story. The McCloskeys live in a gated community. They had the misfortune to live in the same community as the mayor of St. Louis. So the protestors broke down the gates of the community and started walking to the mayor’s house. At this point, the protestors became rioters. The McCloskeys, afraid of what these people were about, armed themselves and stood outside their house. They were very clumsy with their weapons but they were protecting themselves. The rioters had just pulled out a wrought iron fence (illegal), burned down the city and some were armed. Oh, yeah. And they threatened to enter their house, burn down their house, kill them and kill their dogs. These are charming people.

This couple, who supported Black Lives Matter, now faces four years in prison and the loss of their law licenses. Yes, both the McCloskeys are lawyers. Seems like kind of a steep punishment for just holding their guns against a bunch of rioters.

Now let’s face the fact: these people are not going to get convicted. It’s possible this won’t even see the inside of a court room. This is an unjustifiable prosecution by a partisan prosecutor on a charge that, quite possible, could be unconstitutional. But, that’s the point, isn’t it? Our right don’t matter to the Left. The Second Amendment is part of a system the Left wants to destroy. The McCloskeys are the casualties. Here’s the problem we all need to worry about: we’ll all end up being casualties. It is time to fight this crap. If the McCloskeys put up a donation site, I would donate. So should you.

COVID Update

Here’s an update on President Trump’s COVID-19 situation. This come from White House physician, Sean Conely:

“President Trump continues to do well, having made substantial progress since diagnosis. This evening he completed his second dose of Remdesivir without complication. He remains fever-free and off supplemental oxygen with a saturation level between 96 and 98% all day.”

“He spent most of the afternoon conducting business, and has been up and moving about the medical suite without difficulty. While not yet out of the woods, the team remains cautiously optimistic. The plan for tomorrow is to continue observation in between doses of Remdesivir, closely monitoring his clinical status while fully supporting his conduct of presidential duties.”

There was a little concern on Friday. It was reported:

• Trump was fatigued.
• His temp was rising.
• He was having shortness of breath and his pulseox had dropped to concerning levels.
• There was never a thought of implementing the 25th Amendment.

We can’t really know the condition of the President. Only what they are telling us. But, right now, he could be released as early as Monday.

According to The New York Times’ Ben Smith, top reporters at three of the major newspapers in the nation, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times, have been assigned to update President Donald Trump’s obituary.

Those reporters include Peter Baker at The New York Times, Marc Fisher at The Washington Post and Mark Z. Barabak at The Los Angeles Times, Smith claimed people from the various papers confirmed to him.

Smith noted of the “reporters arrayed at Walter Reed military hospital on Sunday” that “the White House press corps is working with admirable aggression and openness. We need to know who is in charge of the government, and to understand the outcome of President Trump’s long evasion of the coronavirus crisis as Americans begin to vote.”

Earlier this weekend, it was pointed out that Trump, while taking a picture signing a document, was signing a blank document. I saw it but I didn’t think anything of it. Maybe he was, maybe he was signing a document that only had a few words in it and they could not be viewed. Maybe the White House edited the picture because he was signing something that was classified. Question for you: who cares?

Then, there was another story that said that the pictures taken, showing Trump throughout the weekend working, were actually taken all at the same time. He was using a photo-op to make him look like he was working hard from the hospital.

An Uh-Oh for Creepy Joe

On Saturday, the day after it was revealed that President Trump had contracted the coronavirus, a new poll from John Zogby Strategies was taken, and it showed something startling: former Vice President Joe Biden was leading President Trump by only two points, 49%-47%.

Zogby’s July 8 poll found Biden leading Trump by seven points, 49% to 42%, while their August 29th poll found Biden leading by six points (48% to 42%).

The poll, which surveyed 1,006 “likely voters” across the nation, stated that Biden “is leading among Democrats 91%-8%, voters 18-29 years of age (60%-35%) and those 30-49 (50%-45%), as well as among women (56%-41%), Progressives (85%-15%), Liberals (85%-14%) and Moderates (58%-36%). He also leads among Hispanics … 61%-34% and Blacks (87%-11%).”

Zogby wrote:

Contrary to my own observations, it looks like the President has not been hurt by his debate performance nor his hospitalization. His 47% performance is actually one point higher than his vote percentage in 2016. For now, he appears to have consolidated his base of Whites, parents, conservatives, men, and his own party’s voters. Joe Biden looks as if he is on his way to doing the same with his base. His numbers among Hispanics are respectable but not quite at the 66%-67% he really needs. The same with Blacks. His 86% is better than our last poll but he needs to hit 90%, especially in those key battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Georgia. His 60%-35% lead among young voters is about where he needs to be … Our last poll had Mr. Biden leading strongly among independents but now the two candidates are tied with 12% still undecided.

Zogby has been pretty accurate. In 2008, got 49 of 50 correct.

Three weeks before the election, despite Hillary Clinton’s double-digit leads in most polls at the time, he declared, “I can’t tell you who’s really going to win. Tell me who will vote, and I’ll tell you who will win. If we get around 132 million votes, as we did in 2008 and 2012, Hillary wins. If we get 121 million, as we did in 2004, Trump wins.”

We actually got around 126 million, giving Clinton about a 2 million vote lead. Shortly after Election Day, with 122 million votes counted, her lead was closer to 200,000. Several million non-voters, particularly Democratic-leaning people in the north central states, helped tip those states to Trump. So Zogby’s assessment looks quite accurate.

Zogby continued on his procedure:

Zogby did not poll the horse race after two weeks before the election, though our last poll had Clinton leading by 2 points. With that said, I think it was more a combination of a misunderstanding of how to read polls and a media that really wanted Donald Trump to lose — so much that they screened out any other possibility.

As for the inability to read polls, I think our expectations are too high. Even a poll the day before the election cannot capture the last minute decision-makers, and there are many that do not make up their minds until the day of the election. Polls are samples and have a margin of error we cannot forget. But I correctly read the trend-lines. The race was clearly tightening over the last week, especially in the battleground states. Thus, in New Hampshire, HRC had a 10-point lead 10 days before the election and that evaporated down to a tie just before the election. The same for North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Florida. The trend lines suggested either a tightening race or Trump momentum.

Here’s the problem with polls:

• Their sample sizes are too small.
• The organization who take the poll may be biased.
• The questions may not give pollsters the right direction.
• Likely voters versus eligible voters.
• Finally, people lie or refuse to answer.

They Are Sooo Predictable

Never let a good crisis go to waste. I seem to be saying that a lot lately. Makes me wish I came up with it.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called on Republicans, again, to delay the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett, saying it wasn’t possible to hold the committee proceedings safely at this time.

Schumer said:

“It makes no sense. If it’s not safe for the Senate to meet in session, it’s not safe for the hearings to go forward.”

“For Mitch McConnell to go ahead with the hearing endangers the safety not only of senators, but of staff who work diligently on the Hill, and they ought to be delayed. There is no reason on God’s green earth why these shouldn’t be delayed other than an effort to rush a witness through in an inadequate hearing where people can’t even see the witness face to face. So we are demanding today, along with millions of Americans and many, many groups, that the hearings be postponed.”

Mitch McConnell said, no way. The hearings would go on.

“A virtual hearing is virtually no hearing at all. You need to be with the witness, and have direct cross-questions and back and forth with them.”

Here’s the problem: They have been having virtual hearings for months. Suddenly, they don’t work?

This is just a temper tantrum that is not going to lead anywhere. Amy Coney Barrett is:

• Going in front to the Senate Judiciary.
• The Senate Judiciary IS going to recommend a confirmation vote.
• The Senate is going to vote.
• The Senate is going to vote to confirm.
• President Trump will swear her in.
• She will get that snazzy little black dress thing.
• She will be a Supreme Court justice.

It’s a done deal. There’s nothing Democrats can do about it. And you know what’s going to happen in the legal world? Probably not much. Abortion will still be legal. Obamacare ain’t going anywhere. Gays can still get married. Jim Crow is not going to be reinstated. And no one is going to die of the Wuhan Flu because of the confirmation hearings.

The Left is being so dumb about this.

Ugh, Is This Ever Going to End?

One of three police officers involved in the Louisville, Ky., drug operation that led to the death of Breonna Taylor in March 2020 was indicted Wednesday on criminal charges.

Officer Brett Hankison, who was fired in June, was indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment in the first degree, a Jefferson County grand jury decided Wednesday. Neither the grand jury nor the presiding judge elaborated on the charges.

A warrant has been issued for Hankison’s arrest and a bond is set at $15,000 cash.

No charges were announced against the two other officers involved in the raid — Myles Cosgrove and Sgt. Johnathan Mattingly, who was shot in the leg and underwent surgery after the police operation that resulted in Taylor’s death.

Hankinson faces up to five years on each of three counts if convicted, Cameron said.

Danial Cameron, DA of Kentucky said:

“The decision before my office as the special prosecutor, in this case, was not to decide if the loss of Ms. Taylor’s life was a tragedy. The answer to that is unequivocally, ‘yes,'” Cameron said. “I understand that Breonna Taylor’s death is part of a national story, but the facts and evidence in this case are different than others…

“If we simply act on emotion or outrage, there is no justice,” Cameron said. “Mob justice is not justice. Justice sought by violence is not justice. It just becomes revenge.”

“I believe that the public deserves this information,” Beshear said. “So I previously made what I would call a suggestion to the attorney general, and now I’m making the request that he post online all the information, evidence and facts that he can release without impacting the three felony counts in the indictment issued today.”

He noted that other jurisdictions had similarly released details about high-profile cases.

“Everyone can and should be informed,” he said. “And those that are currently feeling frustration, feeling hurt, they deserve to know more.”

Cameron said Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified under Kentucky law in their use of force after being fired upon by Walker and his office will not pursue criminal charges against them.

“According to Kentucky law, the use of force by Mattingly and Cosgrove was justified to protect themselves. This justification bars us from pursuing criminal charges in Miss Breonna Taylor’s death,” Cameron said.

But Hankison is accused of “blindly” firing his gun, without a threat within line of sight, according to a pretermination letter the police department sent to him in June.

Ben Crump, the attorney for the Taylor family and who makes Al Sharpton look like a racial healer Tweeted:

Yeah, those are probably the right charges. A police officer was shot. The police announced their presence even though it was a no-knock warrant. Taylor’s boyfriend shot first. Again, no “justice,” no peace.

Lonita Baker, an attorney for the Taylor family, said:

As the family’s attorney, I’m not surprised she doesn’t understand. The Grand jury heard the evidence. They came up with the charges. No one mentions that a cop was shot. No one mentions that Brianna Taylor was, possibly, involved in drug trafficking with her ex-boyfriend. No one mentions that the black, Democratic, and honest, prosecutor said that this was a justified shooting. Let’s just tear shit up and burn it down.

I watching the news now. In a couple of hours, I’m sure Louisville will be on fire. No one is going to care about the fact, only the narrative.

Newsweek magazine has issued a major correction to an article smearing potential Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, accusing the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals judge of belonging to a Catholic sect that “inspired” the novel “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Initially, Newsweek claimed that “People of Praise,” a charismatic Catholic group to which Barrett reportedly belongs, “served as inspiration for Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel, The Handmaid’s Tale,” adding that female members are forced to report to spiritual superiors known as “handmaids” and that the group stresses that “men have authority over their wives.”

“Members of People of Praise are assigned to personal advisers of the same sex — called a ‘head’ for men and ‘handmaid’ for women, until the rise in popularity of Atwood’s novel and the television series based on it forced a change in the latter,” the outlet reported.  “Atwood herself has indicated that the group’s existence motivated her to write The Handmaid’s Tale, set in the fictional Gilead, where women’s bodies are governed and treated as the property of the state under a theocratic regime.”

The problem:

The People of Praise group are actually just spiritual advisors. It’s not a religion or a cult. It’s like going to a Bible study group.

National Review Online’s David Harsanyi points out, Barrett’s partner’s “authority” must be severely limited, given that her “knuckle-dragging misogynistic religious fanatic husband has only let the poor woman out of the house twice. Once, to serve a 15-year stint as a law professor at a highly prestigious university,” and the other to serve on the 7th Circuit.

Newsweek offered a correction but too little, too late. The story went viral. The correction went as so:

“Correction: This article’s headline originally stated that People of Praise inspired ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’. The book’s author, Margaret Atwood, has never specifically mentioned the group as being the inspiration for her work,” the note read. “A New Yorker profile of the author from 2017 mentions a newspaper clipping as part of her research for the book of a different charismatic Catholic group, People of Hope. Newsweek regrets the error.”

“The clipping includes a spokesperson for the People of Hope sect based in Newark, New Jersey saying, ‘We’re all Roman Catholics. We differ in the sense that we are a Charismatic group, which would mean that we have prayer meetings, during which there is raising of hands, singing and speaking in tongues,’” the outlet notes. “People of Praise has never had a presence in the state of New Jersey.”

Actress Patricia Heaton, an actress and a Catholic, Tweeted:

Democratic Senator, Joe Machin from West Virginia also stated the same thing on Fox News. He said:

“I’m Catholic, OK. And religion should not enter into it. It sure doesn’t with me. The freedom of religion is one of the basic rights we all have as an American citizen. Whether you’re Catholic, whether you’re Protestant, whether you’re Jewish, evangelical, whatever it may be, God bless you. You worship who you want and you worship how you want. You worship the same God. All of us do.”

This attack on someone because of their religion is disgusting. And notice it is only Christianity and Judaism that are attacked? No one attacks Islam, right? No one says anything to Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar who are both ardently anti-Semitic. The reason is because these are the main religions in the country and they typically love the United States and all its principles. Hell, the principles of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are from Judeo-Christian teachings. Islam is based on hate for infidels. Now I’m not saying all Muslims believe in this. I used to live with Muslims and they were very fine people. They even voted for Trump over Clinton. But most terrorism across the world is done by radical Islamic terrorists. The Left sees them as heroes because the hate America and Israel.

The Left also embraces Marxism and communism. Marx called religion, “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people”. The ideologies require that the people see the government as god (North Korea is an example of that). Religion gets in the way. It gets in the way because if people have faith that there is something beyond this world, the government becomes less important and fallible because the religious know government is run by people. Religion also establishes individuality and community instead of zombie collectivism (I am talking about Judeo-Christian religions specifically, not Islam). It encourages the use of reason and promotes individual rights. Marxism and communism can have none of that.

Finally, the Left will attack her religion for the simplest of reasons: they have nothing else on Barrett or Barbara Logoa for that matter.

Uh-Oh! This Ain’t Gonna Be Good for Sleepy, Creepy Joe!

The Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees on Wednesday released an interim report on their months long joint investigation into Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings and his alleged “extensive and complex financial transactions.”

Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said their investigation has “faced many obstacles” from Democrats on their committees and that executive agencies “failed to comply with document requests.”

So this was what was found in the report:

Obama administration officials “knew” that Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Burisma was “problematic” and that it interfered “in the efficient execution of policy with respect to Ukraine.”

“This investigation has illustrated the extent to which officials within the Obama administration ignored the glaring warning signs when the vice president’s son joined the board of a company owned by a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch,” the report’s executive summary stated.

Ironically, Hunter Biden’s job was to clean up corruption from the company. Of course, he knew nothing about energy adn couldn’t speak the language. Then his father bragged about getting the attorney, who was investigating Burisma, fired. Ukraine did because they wanted a billion dollars in U.S. aid.

The Senate committees also revealed in the report that they obtained records from the U.S. Treasury Department, which “show potential criminal activity relating to transactions among and between Hunter Biden, his family, and his associates with Ukrainian, Russian, Kazakh and Chinese nationals.”

The committees stated that they received records that Hunter Biden “sent thousands of dollars” to individuals who have “either been involved in transactions consistent with possible human trafficking; an association with the adult entertainment industry; or potential association with prostitution.”

“Some recipients of those funds are Ukrainian or Russian citizens,” the report states, adding that “the records note that it is a documented fact that Hunter Biden has sent funds to non-resident alien women in the United States who are citizens of Russia and Ukraine and who have subsequently wired funds they have received from Hunter Biden to individuals located in Russia and Ukraine.”

“The records also note that some of these transactions are linked to what ‘appears to be an Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring,’” the report stated.

Oops! This is a big deal and shows that some of Hunter’s indiscretions over the years (you know; smoking crack, attending strips clubs, getting a hooker pregnant) is habitual.

The report states that Senate investigators found millions of dollars in “questionable financial transactions” between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow as well as individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

According to the report, an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden, Rosemont Seneca Thornton, “received $3.5 million in a wire transfer” from Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of the Russian capital.

Wow! This is huge. And it’s Trump that’s in cahoots with Russia? Just a little reminder: We had two had a two year investigation on Trump-Russia collusion because Russia post $100,000 in ads on Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile, the son of the Vice President, Joe Biden, is getting $3.5 million from the wife of the mayor of Moscow. The hunter must have some awesome equipment to get all this money from these women.

The report goes further and alleges that not just Hunter Biden but other members of the Biden family “were involved in a vast financial network that connected them to foreign nationals and foreign governments across the globe.”

In one instance, the report stated that Hunter Biden “opened a bank account” with a Chinese national linked to China’s communist government, which “financed a $100,000 global spending spree” for the former vice president’s brother, James Biden, and his wife, Sara Biden.

Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates on Wednesday blasted the investigation, and Johnson directly, for pursuing a “conspiracy theory.”

“As the coronavirus death toll climbs and Wisconsinites struggle with joblessness, Ron Johnson has wasted months diverting the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee away from any oversight of the catastrophically botched federal response to the pandemic, a threat Sen. Johnson has dismissed by saying that ‘death is an unavoidable part of life.’ Why? To subsidize a foreign attack against the sovereignty of our elections with taxpayer dollars — an attack founded on a long-disproven, hardcore rightwing conspiracy theory that hinges on Sen. Johnson himself being corrupt and that the Senator has now explicitly stated he is attempting to exploit to bail out Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.”

As usual, it’s Trump’s fault. This bullshit narrative is done. This is going to come up in a debate. Hunter is going to come up. Biden’s 47 years of service with nothing accomplished is going to come up. Joe’s weird behavior with little girls is going to come up. And Joe ain’t going to have a teleprompter.

The Path is Open

Sen. Mitt Romney said on Tuesday that he supports the Senate in moving forward with a Supreme Court nominee from President Trump ahead of the presidential election, further tipping the nomination math in favor of Republicans who want to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a conservative.

“My decision regarding a Supreme Court nomination is not the result of a subjective test of ‘fairness’ which, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. It is based on the immutable fairness of following the law, which in this case is the Constitution and precedent. The historical precedent of election year nominations is that the Senate generally does not confirm an opposing party’s nominee but does confirm a nominee of its own.”

“The Constitution gives the President the power to nominate and the Senate the authority to provide advice and consent on Supreme Court nominees. Accordingly, I intend to follow the Constitution and precedent in considering the President’s nominee. If the nominee reaches the Senate floor, I intend to vote based upon their qualifications.”

“We may have a court that has a more conservative bent. But my liberal friends have over many decades gotten used to the idea of having a liberal court. And that’s not written in the stars.”

“It’s also appropriate for a nation that’s if you will center-right to have a court which reflects center-right points of view. Which again are not changing the law from what it states but instead following the law and following the Constitution.”

Romney was a big question. He voted this year…yes, this year…voted to remove Trump on one of the impeachment charges and has shown to have a very iffy relationship with President Trump (though he has voted for the President’s policies over 90% of the time). He has also been seen protesting (not rioting) with the BLM movement earlier this year. I’m not sure why he does the things he does. When he ran against Obama in 2012, sleepy, creepy Joe Biden told a black audience that Romney would “put them back in chains.”

Chuck Grassley also said he would vote for the Trump nominee. He was kind of on the fence because he said, earlier, that he did not think it was a good idea to nominate a justice before an election. He got over it. When someone pointed out what he said, he just waved it off. This should be a lesson to us all: Don’t say things that may require you to do the opposite when the tables are turned. Just be quiet or do not say “never” to anything. Or, be a politician and just change your mind.

With Romney and Grassley going with the President, there are now enough votes to confirm Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.

The Quiet Part Out Loud

I don’t know when CNN is going to admit they are nothing more than opinion TV like Fox News and MSNBC. They really are fooling themselves in believing they are neutral.

With the clarity that the Supreme Court seat is going to be filled by a Trump pick, Don Lemon flipped out and said what we all knew he thought but never said before. It was such a rant that Chris Cuomo, who’s probably not going to be on CNN much longer, seemed very uncomfortable, actually disagreeing with him.

Let’s unpack a little of Don’s temper tantrum.

• Blowing up the system is what the Left has always intended. It’s already happening.
• The electoral college has nothing to do with minority rule. It’s there to make sure that the majority doesn’t become tyrannical. It’s to make sure that states that don’t have a population like California and New York don’t control the country. In other words, states like Wyoming have a say in our government.
• Cuomo is right. Can’t believe I said that. It requires a Constitutional amendment and that’s not going to happen.
• Stacking the courts is also difficult. It require the House to come up with a law, the Senate to ratify it and the President to sign it into law. Good luck with that.
• The Left is trying to destroy the country to keep and never lose power. They cheat.

According to Yahoo News:

Just 22 percent of Americans believe this year’s presidential election will be “free and fair,” according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll — a disturbing loss of confidence in the democratic process that could foreshadow a catastrophic post-election period with millions of partisans refusing to accept the legitimacy of the results.

The survey, which was conducted from Sept. 15 to 17, found that both Republicans and Democrats harbor grave and growing doubts about whether the upcoming election will accurately reflect the will of the people.

Half of Trump supporters (50 percent) say the election will not be free and fair; more than a third of Biden supporters (37 percent) agree. Overall, the number of Americans who say the election will not be free and fair (46 percent) is more than twice the number who say the opposite. Another third (32 percent) say they’re not sure what to expect.

He’s the Man…Again!

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday identified New York City, Portland and Seattle as “local governments that are permitting anarchy, violence, and destruction in American cities,” a move that comes as the federal government continues to take a tough stance against localized rioting in some areas of the country.

President Trump earlier this month targeted those three cities in a memo to Attorney General William Barr and the Office of Management and Budget asking for a review of federal funding to “anarchist” jurisdictions. The DOJ memo Monday essentially serves as notice that New York City, Portland and Seattle meet the criteria Trump set out for potential defunding.

It’s unclear whether and how much funding may eventually be withdrawn from the cities and if such a move would be legal, as it would likely be challenged in the courts.

William Barr is quoted as saying:

“When state and local leaders impede their own law enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest. We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance. It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens.”

In a joint statement, Mayors Bill de Blasio of New York, Jenny Durkan of Seattle and Wheeler called threats to revoke federal funding “thoroughly political and unconstitutional.”

A quote from the statement:

“The President is playing cheap political games with Congressionally directed funds. Our cities are bringing communities together; our cities are pushing forward after fighting back a pandemic and facing the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, all despite recklessness and partisanship from the White House. What the Trump Administration is engaging in now is more of what we’ve seen all along: shirking responsibility and placing blame elsewhere to cover its failure.”

Now, I think this is a good move but there are a lot of legal hurdles. First, are the finance the federal government giving the cities required or discretionary? If the money is discretionary, then the cities have no say. The money has not been given through law or edict and the federal government can just say “no.” If it is money that is distributed through law, then the DOJ cannot just stop payments being given. This is where things get kind of sticky for the federal government.

I find it funny that Leftists like Wheeler De Blasio and Durkan keep yelling “unconstitutional” when they don’t get their way. The reality is that this is not unconstitutional. It might be against the law but the federal government has no constitutional commitment to finance states or cities. I find it amazing that the people who want to destroy the Constitution are the ones that scream “unconstitutional” every time they don’t get their way. Here’s an idea: these guys should actually read the Constitution. Their behavior tells me they know nothing about it.

Another thing that kicks my cat is that these cities have run themselves into the ground and depend on federal funds. When the local or state government does not do all that it needs to protect citizens and property and actually lowers safety and quality of life, why should the federal government give anything? The government only has two things to do: protect citizens rights and protect the citizens themselves. If a city or state refuses to do that, they should get nothing.

Finally, why just New York City, Seattle and Portland? How about Baltimore, Chicago and Los Angeles? How about Detroit, Washington DC, Minneapolis and Atlanta? I’m pretty sure the DOJ could have found one or two more cities that are having serious issues with law enforcement.
