Episode 1160 – Just A Lot of ‘Meh

The NFL seems like they don’t want to learn from companies like Bud Light or Target. What’s worse for them is the product they are putting on the field is getting hard to watch. A bad product and wokeness combined could lead them in the direction of the NBA.

And the Olympics are becoming more unwatchable as the athletes seem to be spending a lot of time whining about how terrible America is.

The Super Bowl

The NFL is in some big trouble after yesterday. They have not embraced the idea, “go woke, go broke.”

Here’s what happened:

  • Green Day played before the Super Bowl and, of course, played “American Idiot” which is an anti-American song. Way to start the Super Bowl out.
  • The Black National Anthem was played on television for the first time.
  • America the Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner was played. It was very nice.
  • During the National Anthem, Bad Bunny was filmed sitting down. So, he gets paid millions of dollars in America, but refuses to honor and respect our country. He is an unappreciative bitch, which isn’t a surprise.
  • The halftime show was terrible.
    • The good news is the set was kind of clever. It was a corn field made up of people in costumes.
    • Bad Bunny can’t sing. No one could understand what he said.
    • The hip thrusting, crotch grabbing, and grinding is not appropriate.
    • The entire performance was in Spanish.
    • There was a live wedding, which was cool.
    • Some of the cultural nods were actually quite recognizable and sort of fun. It also shows why the Latin countries are third world.
    • The final message is that all the countries in South, Central, and North America are all the same and one big community. In other words, the United States is not a special country, which is incorrect.

It was not a good performance. It was not the worst ever, but it was competing for it. It was political, but it was all in Spanish, so message didn’t quite hit. I stopped paying attention.

The Super Bowl commercials were terrible. The commercials used to be the reason to watch most Super Bowls. Not anymore.

The game was awful. I started folding clothes in the fourth quarter. There were no touchdowns until the end of the fourth quarter. Seattle defense was incredible. They held a 19-0 lead in the fourth quarter, then New England traded touchdowns coming up with a final score of 29-13.

The game wasn’t that close.

Episode 1139 – Tearing Down The Bureaucratic Wall!

Arguments were heard by the Supreme Court about who controls the bureaucracies. It doesn’t sound good for the forth branch of government.

Washington state just can’t keep politics out of sports.

And Jasmine Crockett has decided to end her political career.

Taking the Power Back

According to the Daily Wire:

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments Monday in a case that could change the way presidents interact with the massive federal bureaucracy.

At issue in the case, Trump v. Slaughter, is whether a president has the authority to fire officials from independent agencies. Rebecca Slaughter, a former Federal Trade Commissioner, sued the president for removing her from the commission in March. Over the day’s three-hour proceeding, the court’s six conservative justices seemed inclined to side with President Donald Trump. Doing so would upend the way the federal bureaucracy interacts with the executive branch — a win not just for Trump, but for small-government conservatives anxious to claw back power from the “deep state.”

Slaughter’s team argues that independent agencies like the FTC have long-standing statutory protections allowing commissioners to be removed only “for cause” rather than “at will.” The team also insisted that these protections are essential for preserving agency independence, preventing partisan interference, and maintaining the separation of powers.

Keep It Out of Sports!

According to Outkick:

When Seattle was announced as one of the many host cities for the 2026 World Cup, it was inevitable that the city and its leaders would use it as an opportunity to remind the world that it is one of the most liberal, woke places in North America

And that’s exactly what it’s planning to do when Group Stage matches make their way to Seattle in June, which just so happens to also be Pride Month. The World Cup draw, though, has created a rather complicated situation for the city.

Seattle intends to kick off Pride weekend with a ‘Pride Match’ at Lumen Field on June 26 featuring Egypt and Iran, two countries with very strong anti-LBGTQ laws. How strong? Egypt criminalizes gay relationships while capital punishment is the maximum penalty under Iranian law. So much pride!

This presents what could be a bizarre setting in Seattle, with fans celebrating Pride both inside and outside the stadium, but the players on the field representing homelands that do not stand for any of it. You can not come up with a more contrasting situation.

The planned Pride celebrations for the match do not directly involve FIFA, but instead Seattle organizers and a Pride Match Advisory Committee (PMAC) that they have put together. Those organizers are not planning to deviate from the ‘Pride Match’ despite it featuring Egypt and Iran. Maybe the teams are the point?

“It is a Host City–led expression of Seattle and Washington State’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone belongs: players, fans, residents, and visitors alike,” a spokesperson for the PMAC told OutSports.

“Soccer has a unique power to unite people across borders, cultures, and beliefs. We are honored to host a Pride Match and to celebrate Pride as part of a global football community. This match reflects our ongoing commitment to respect, dignity, and unity for all.”

Oh My God!

The Wrong Side of Everything

This Means Nothing

According to the Daily Wire:

Actress Sydney Sweeney just addressed the viral backlash against her following the American Eagle jeans campaign, not explicitly admitting to being woke but instead saying she is “against hate.”

Mostly, the 28-year-old star just expressed confusion about why everyone was up in arms over the ad campaign.

“I was honestly surprised by the reaction,” Sweeney told People in an interview published over the weekend. “I did it because I love the jeans and love the brand. I don’t support the views some people chose to connect to the campaign. Many have assigned motives and labels to me that just aren’t true.”

“Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always trying to bring people together. I’m against hate and divisiveness,” she continued. “In the past my stance has been to never respond to negative or positive press but recently I have come to realize that my silence regarding this issue has only widened the divide, not closed it. So I hope this new year brings more focus on what connects us instead of what divides us.”

I Knew It!

According to the New York Post:

On average, humans fart up to 23 times a day, but not all of those toots are created equal. Research shows that women’s gas smells worse than men’s, and there’s a scientific reason why.

But next time you catch a whiff of your wife’s wind, take comfort — that stink could be a sign that she’s less likely to develop Alzheimer’s.

Back in 1998, Dr. Michael Levitt, a gastroenterologist and prolific researcher known as the “King of Farts,” set out to figure out which gases give flatulence its signature funk.

He recruited 16 healthy adults with no history of gastrointestinal issues and had each of them strap on a “flatus collection system,” which was essentially a rectal tube connected to a bag.

After the participants chowed down on pinto beans and took a laxative, the researchers collected their subsequent farts.

Next, Levitt and his colleagues ran a gas chromatographic–mass spectroscopic analysis to break down exactly what was inside those bags.

They also put the samples to a sniff test.

Two judges were brought in to rate each fart on a scale of 0 to 8, with 8 being “very offensive.” They were unaware that they were smelling human flatulence.

The researchers found that the main gasses responsible for the odor of human farts are sulfur-containing compounds, most notably hydrogen sulfide — the chemical behind that classic “rotten egg” smell.

And while men tended to pass larger volumes of gas, the study found that female flatulence contained a “significantly higher concentration” of hydrogen sulfide than that of their male peers.

The judges agreed, rating women’s farts as having a “greater odor intensity” than men’s.

While hydrogen sulfide is highly toxic in large amounts, small doses — like those found abundantly in women’s gas — may help protect aging brain cells against Alzheimer’s disease.

In the body, hydrogen sulfide plays a role in many functions, including helping brain cells communicate by chemically tweaking proteins in a process called sulfhydration.

Studies show that sulfhydration levels decline with age, a trend that is even more pronounced in patients with Alzheimer’s.

An Oldie but a Goodie

The teenagers tucked their hands into their sweatshirt pockets as they shuffled to form a circle. Some gazed at the asphalt, trying to avoid the game they had been drafted to play.

“It’s like hot potato/musical chairs, but with a penis,” said the girl leading the group.

The kids gathered on a spring morning in South Los Angeles were about to get a hands-on lesson in sex education.

Many health experts say that public health problems are best tackled outside the doctor’s office — that fixing the culture that perpetuates them is more effective than changing a single patient’s behavior. For sexual health, that means combating the stigma around sex.

This is part of the problem. Teenagers need their urges curbed. They need to learn to control themselves and not cave into every whim. In other words, we must civilize them. One way to do this is through taboo, stigma, and shame.

They should learn that sex is Important and that there are consequences when engaging in it. That’s why it is important to be with one person.

The teenagers, the girl explained, would pass a plastic, life-size penis around the circle. Whoever was holding it when the music stopped would have to unroll a condom onto it, completing each of the eight steps they had been taught a few minutes earlier.

The music started, and the teens looked up.

The recent all-day event, called Spring Into Love, was intended to get high schoolers more comfortable talking about sex. The hope is that an open dialogue will make them more likely to seek out condoms and STD testing, and eventually reduce the spread of disease.

This sounds like indoctrination.

The focus on stigma is just one of many ways Los Angeles County health officials are trying to think outside the box as they struggle to curb rising STD rates. It’s clear that the traditional ways of preventing disease — patients seeing a doctor regularly to get screened and treated — have not been working, said Dr. Jeffrey Gunzenhauser, L.A. County’s interim health officer.

“If that really happened, this problem could be taken care of,” he said.

The county recently created a Center for Health Equity to evaluate the way certain public health issues are intertwined with social factors such as income and education, as well as racial discrimination.

High STD rates are at the top of the center’s list of priorities. In just the past five years, the number of gonorrhea cases in Los Angeles County doubled, with minorities suffering more than most.

“The numbers are only going up,” Gunzenhauser said. “What’s going on is unacceptable.”

Or maybe they shouldn’t be having sex. Notice the educators are worried about treatment instead of prevention.

“All I heard was ‘Don’t get pregnant’”

The church auditorium was decked out in streamers and balloons. Kids chatted around tables with piles of Mardi Gras beads and condoms at the center.

Spring Into Love, which began five years ago, is the brainchild of a coalition of L.A. County health advocates trying to bring down STD rates. This year’s event, held in late March, included workshops on healthy relationships and body image, as well as free STD testing.

Ashley Deras, 18, showed a group of students how to safely open a condom wrapper. She said her family almost never talked to her about sex.

“Sexual health was something in my household that was taboo,” Deras, a high school senior, said in an interview. “All I heard was, ‘Don’t get pregnant.’”

Other teens at Spring Into Love sought practical information they hadn’t learned in health class. One boy said he hadn’t known he could get STDs from anal sex. Many said their parents would be mad at them for asking questions about sex at all.

Where are these parents? Are these dead beat parents? This should be discussed within the family. Maybe that’s another behavior that needs to be changed?

“This is such a natural human interaction, and yet it’s so stigmatized,” said Valerie Coachman-Moore, who oversees WeCanStopSTDsLA, the coalition of advocates that put on the event. “People are having sex? Yeah.”

Many say the silence around sex plays a big role in young people’s high rates of STDs. Many feel uncomfortable walking into an STD clinic or talking to their partners about safe practices.

In L.A. County, half of chlamydia cases and a third of gonorrhea cases diagnosed each year are among people between the ages of 15 and 24.

“The one thing I never do, and I hope others don’t as well, is blame these young people for not taking care of themselves,” said Barbara Ferrer, head of L.A. County’s Department of Public Health.

Researchers increasingly view public health problems as shaped by the environments in which people live. Neighborhoods where people of color reside, for example, are more likely to be pollution-ridden and have fewer parks and doctors — factors that directly affect people’s health.

”This is not just their problem, it’s a community problem,” said Jim Rhyne of WeCanStopSTDsLA.

It’s not a community problem! It’s a personal problem and a family problem!

Is systemic racism to blame?

Los Angeles County launched a Center for Health Equity in October to address the idea that “health predominantly happens outside the health care setting,” said its director, Heather Jue Northover, at a recent meeting. “It happens where we live, work, play and pray.”

The problem with any governmental “health equity” departments is they always look to find racism. They are trying to justify their jobs. Would you ever think to hear an equity department to say there is no racism, sexism, homophobia and what every else? Of course not.

The center will target five health disparities, including high rates of STDs among certain minority groups.

Nationwide, STD rates have been climbing for the past five years. More people were diagnosed with syphilis, chlamydia or gonorrhea in 2016 than ever before.

Some blame underfunding of STD prevention programs, as well as falling condom usage. There’s also speculation that people are having sex with more partners because of hookup apps.

Underfunding? A condom costs about $0.50. This is just another bureaucracy begging for money.

But the picture is more complicated when it comes to the high STD rates among minorities. Gay and bisexual men make up the vast majority of new syphilis cases. In L.A. County, syphilis rates among African American women are six times higher than white women and three times higher than Latina women.

Northover said that officials need to evaluate what’s called structural or systemic racism, the way housing or education policies may negatively impact people and their health. Studies have found, for example, that people with HIV who had low levels of literacy were less likely to follow their treatment, and that poorer Americans were more likely to engage in risky sexual behavior, increasing their risk of STDs.

Or maybe we should take a look at the culture within the black communities. Listen to a rap song. Don’t tell me uninhibited sex is not part of the black culture. Pregnancy rates among single, black women is astronomical. There is something sick in the culture. It has nothing to do with systemic racism (which doesn’t really exist against black people).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a white paper in 2010 saying the country could not close disparities in STD rates without addressing “the interpersonal, network, community, and societal influences of disease transmission and health.”

But that’s a tall order given how entrenched many social problems are.

Yes, there are a lot of problems within the black culture. That’s what needs to be talked about.

Poverty or a lack of opportunity may be forcing women to exchange sex for resources, leading to the spread of STDs, Northover said. There also tends to be a mistrust of the medical system among African Americans, making them reluctant to seek care. Certain neighborhoods may be excluded from access to healthcare because of geography or finances, she said.

“We need to take a wider lens,” said Northover, who added that she’s still trying to get to the bottom of what’s driving STD rates.

County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, who represents South Los Angeles, convened several community groups in 2012 to try to bring down STD rates through collaboration. But the still-growing case numbers suggest the approach needs to be reimagined, said Dr. Michael Hochman, a senior health deputy for the supervisor.

“If you keep doing the same thing and expect a different result, then that’s insanity,” Hochman said.

Episode 1131 – The Net IS Falling On The NBA!

Will Republicans ever stop chasing the ball of yarn Democrats always are throwing?

The gambling investigations in the NBA are expanding.

And young women don’t want to live in the United States. Bet you’re wondering what I’m going to say to that.

Commentary

Why do Democrats keep chasing Democrat hysteria?

I Told You This Would Get Worse

According to Fox News:

The NBA is reportedly seeking cell phones and other property from multiple teams as part of its investigation into illegal sports gambling.

Los Angeles Lakers assistant trainer Mike Mancias and executive administrator Randy Mims, who each have close ties to superstar LeBron James, have reportedly already cooperated in handing over their cell phones to the outside law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, which has been contracted by the NBA to help carry out the investigation, The Athletic first reported.

“The NBA engaged an independent law firm to investigate the allegations in the indictment once it was made public,” an NBA spokesman said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Sunday. “As is standard in these kinds of investigations, a number of different individuals and organizations were asked to preserve documents and records. Everyone has been fully cooperative.”

The You Should Leave

According to the Post Millennial:

One in five Americans say they would prefer to leave the United States permanently if they had the chance, according to new polling from Gallup, with the strongest sentiment coming from young women.

Gallup’s data shows that 40 percent of women aged 15 to 44 now say they would move abroad permanently if given the opportunity, a figure that is four times higher than it was in 2014. Young women have seen the largest increase of any demographic group.

The rise began in 2016 following the end of President Barack Obama’s presidency. In June and July of that year, with Donald Trump already the presumptive nominee, the number of younger women wanting to migrate began to climb. In President Joe Biden’s final year in office, the figure reached a peak of 44 percent.

Gallup noted the widening split between younger men and younger women, as only 19 percent of young men say they would be willing to leave the US.

Why do these broads want to move out of the country? Later in the article, the Post Millennial gives us the reason:

Political views are also a major factor. Gallup said, “In 2025, there is a 25-point gap in the desire to migrate between Americans who approve and those who disapprove of the country’s leadership.” The gap was far smaller in earlier years and widened during Trump’s first term before narrowing under Biden, then climbing again in 2025.

Only $5 Billion?

According to the Daily Wire:

President Donald Trump said on Friday he would likely sue the BBC next week for as much as $5 billion after the British broadcaster admitted it wrongly edited a video of a speech he gave but insisted there was no legal basis for his claim.

The British Broadcasting Corporation has been plunged into its biggest crisis in decades after two senior leaders resigned following accusations of bias, including over the editing of Trump’s speech on January 6, 2021, when his supporters entered the Capitol.

Trump’s lawyers had initially set a Friday deadline for the BBC to retract its documentary or face a lawsuit for “no less” than $1 billion. They also demanded an apology and compensation for what they called “overwhelming reputational and financial harm,” according to a letter seen by Reuters.

A Darwin Award

According to the New York Post:

A Pennsylvania man blamed his dog for shooting him in the back with a shotgun in a freak accident that landed him in the hospital for surgery.

The 53-year-old Shillington man, who was not identified, told cops he was cleaning his shotgun when he placed it on the bed and sat down — a move the overenthusiastic pooch took as an invitation to join his master for some cuddles.

The next thing he knew, the weapon went off, striking the dog dad in his lower back.

“He’s not sure what stage of cleaning he was in at the time, so it’s unsure if the dog’s paw may have gotten caught inside the trigger and the safety was off or if there was some sort of manufacturer malfunction,” Shillington Police Cpl. Michael Schoone told WFMZ.

The victim’s son called 911, cops said, and the man was rushed to the hospital.

Investigators found a spent shell casing inside the shotgun, and police used the bizarre incident as an opportunity to remind gun owners about the importance of being cautious at all times when handling firearms.

Episode 1127 – The Hammer Is Falling On Professional Sports!

It looks like the government shutdown is coming to an end. What have we learned about this?

The hammer is dropping on professional sports gambling.

And we getting shocking news about the trans-woman (man) who got a real woman kicked out of a Los Angeles gym. By shocking I mean it is not shocking at all.

It’s Finally Over

The eight critical votes that advanced a short-term spending package on Sunday evening and put the government on the path to re-opening also tore the seams of Democratic Party unity, bringing scrutiny to its shutdown strategy and leadership.

One of the eight said that the plan Democrats had rallied around at its outset had crumbled.

“After six weeks — going on seven weeks — that path wasn’t working,” Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, said. “It wasn’t going to happen. The question was: Does the shutdown further the goal of achieving some needed support for the extension of the tax credits? Our judgment was that it will not produce that result.”

“The evidence for that is almost seven weeks of fruitless attempts to make that happen. Would it change in a week? Or another week? Or after Thanksgiving? There’s no evidence that it would.”

To other Democrats, it’s the party’s top figures who led a losing effort.

“Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif, said in a post on social media on Sunday.

The government first plunged into a shutdown 40 days ago on Oct. 1 when Democrats rejected a short-term spending bill advanced by Republicans in the House meant to keep the government afloat until Nov. 21. Democrats had demanded that lawmakers first consider expiring COVID-era Obamacare subsidies set to phase out at the end of the year. Republicans, who saw spending and the tax credits as completely unrelated, refused to negotiate on the tax credits during the shutdown.

Ultimately, Republicans avoided any substantive concessions on the Obamacare credits.

Things we have learned:

  • No one really knows what the government does. Outside of air traffic control, nothing seems to be affected by the shutdown of the government.
    • Maybe we need to privatize air traffic control.
  • We need serious restructuring of our welfare programs.
    • 42 million people are on food stamps (1 in 8 people).
    • There are no limits on the type of food recipients can buy.
    • 75% of people on SNAP are obese.
    • On average, SNAP recipients buy more than the working class (up to 20% more).
    • There is no time limit on SNAP or welfare. One can be on it for decades.
    • Legal and illegal immigrants qualify for welfare programs.
  • Federal welfare spending—including SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, housing assistance, and other low-income support programs—was $1.048 trillion in FY 2024.
    • This accounted for roughly 16% of all federal outlays.
    • SNAP (commonly known as food stamps) cost the federal government $100.3 billion in FY 2024.
  • The average SNAP benefit for a family varies by household size and composition, but in fiscal year 2023, the average SNAP household received a monthly benefit of $332. Households with children received a larger average monthly benefit of $574, corresponding to an average household size of 3.3 people. This equals roughly $174 per person for families with children and $177 per person overall.
    • Average per person: $174–$177 per month, with slight variations depending on household composition.
  • We need to add a couple of amendments in the Constitution.
    • We need the filibuster put in the Constitution.
    • We need a balanced budget amendment.
    • When there is a shutdown, politicians shouldn’t get paid.
    • We need term limits.
  • Democrats are in huge trouble.
    • The are fractured.
    • They are being pushed to the left.
    • They have no message. They are all about being anti-Trump.
    • They look cruel. They used the withholding paychecks and SNAP as a weapon.
    • Their accusations against Republicans is falling a deaf ears. This includes the messaging by the media.
      • Chuck Schumer is done.

The Hammer is Falling

According to the Daily Wire:

Federal prosecutors have charged two pitchers for the Cleveland Guardians on counts related to a Major League Baseball (MLB) gambling scheme.

Prosecutors unsealed an indictment against Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz on Sunday. The charging document alleges that the two professional athletes committed fraud, conspiracy, and bribery while collecting on bets and receiving kickbacks for their on-field performances.

Clase and Ortiz have been on paid leave from the MLB since July, when the league began investigating allegations related to the illegal gambling scheme. If found guilty, the two pitchers face a potential punishment of up to 20 years in prison, according to CNBC.

The scheme traces back to 2023 when Clase agreed to work with “corrupt sports bettors” who would place wagers on the type and speed of Clase’s pitches. Clase would coordinate with the bettors on the pitch he would throw. In many cases, Clase’s pitches would hit “in the dirt, well outside the strike zone” to satisfy the wager, according to the Department of Justice.

Ortiz joined the scheme around June 2025 after he was traded to the Guardians in December 2024, according to prosecutors.

“Together with Clase, Ortiz agreed in advance to throw balls (instead of strikes) on pitches in two games in exchange for bribes and kickbacks. Before an MLB game on June 15, 2025, Ortiz agreed with his co-conspirators to throw a ball on a particular pitch in exchange for bribes. The bettors agreed to pay Ortiz a $5,000 bribe for throwing the rigged pitch and Clase a $5,000 bribe for arranging the rigged pitch,” the Justice Department press release states.

Who’d of Thunk It?!

According to the New York Post:

The transgender person caught up in a viral Los Angeles gym bathroom row had been convicted of assaulting their now-ex-wife while living in Ohio as a man — before taking the victim’s first name as their own.

Alexis Black ran afoul of women at a gym in Beverly Hills, including singer-songwriter Tish Hyman, who accused them of exposing himself and harassing her in the locker room.

Black, formerly Grant Freeman, pleaded guilty in 2022 to savagely beating his wife Alexis Freeman, causing a compound fractured jaw among other serious injuries.

So, this guy is a misogynist.

“Kyle Grant Freeman caused serious physical harm to the victim. The victim suffered a compound fractured mandible, which resulted in her needing surgery,” said court documents from Hamilton County, Ohio.

Black was sentenced to a year in prison, minus time served.

Black had been convicted of both domestic violence and drug trafficking in the past, and has faced a slew of other charges, including resisting arrest, records show.

Episode 1126 – The Left Hates Kids!

A criminal gets off on assault on an ICE officer. Yes, assault with a sandwich is still assault.

Canada proves that the “slippery slope” theory isn’t a theory. And, of course, children are affected again.

And Leftists in New York are cheering Sharia Law and our deaths again after Zorhan Mamdani’s win this week. They are going to get what they deserve.

This Doesn’t Fix Anything

According to Fox News:

A former Department of Justice worker on trial for throwing a sandwich at a federal officer in Washington, D.C., earlier this year was found not guilty on Thursday.

Sean Dunn struck a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent (CBP) in the chest with a sandwich in August. He was facing charges of assaulting, resisting, opposing, impeding, intimidating and interfering with a federal officer.

Jurors deliberated for about seven hours before reaching a verdict. After it was read, Dunn hugged his lawyers in the courtroom.

“I believe that I was protecting the rights of immigrants. And let us not forget that the Great Seal of the United States says, E Pluribus Unum,” Dunn said after the verdict was read. “That means, from many, one, every life matters, no matter where you came from, no matter how you got here, no matter how you identify, you have the right to live a life that is free.”

During the trial, Dunn’s legal team insisted he threw the sandwich in protest of President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C., and it was not a violent attack.

Video of the incident quickly went viral, with Dunn being heralded as a hero by residents throughout the city who also opposed Trump’s move to occupy the nation’s capital with federal agents.

Dunn’s lawyers did not dispute that Dunn threw the sandwich at a CBP officer outside a nightclub, though they insisted it was done as an “exclamation point” to express his negative feelings about the National Guard’s deployment within the nation’s capital.

The Slippery Slope

According to the Daily Wire:

Advocates for assisted suicide in Canada, where it’s been legal for just under a decade, are pushing to expand the practice to children.

Canada’s euthanasia program, known as MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying), started back in 2016 for people whose natural death was “reasonably foreseeable” and wanted to end their lives. It’s already been expanded — both expanding the pool of adults who are eligible and how it can be administered, leading to an explosion of suicides in recent years.

Now, groups are calling for minors as young as 12 years old to be included in the government-funded suicide program. One advocacy group, called “Dying With Dignity Canada,” recommends minors as young as 12 be included in the program, and goes as far as to suggest 16 and 17-year-olds shouldn’t even need parental consent to be killed by a doctor if they fit broad criteria.

The group calls for assessing age eligibility based on “maturity” rather than “chronological age.”

Experts say the advocacy shows there was merit to the “slippery slope” argument made against the law from the outset.

Episode 1123 – DODGERS WIN!

Dodgers win game 7 and the World Series over the Toronto Blue Jays. And, boy, are Jays announcers not happy.

Left wing political violence continues. I am making some big assumptions in our second story. Let’s talk about it.

And federal district court justices overstep their bounds again. This time, it is to the detriment to Democrats.

The Violence Continues…

According to Perplexity:

An explosion occurred early on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Harvard Medical School’s Goldenson Building in Boston. Authorities have declared the incident an “intentional” bombing, but no injuries were reported.

Key Details

  • The explosion happened around 2:48 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Goldenson Building.
  • A Harvard University police officer responded to a fire alarm and saw two people fleeing the scene. The officer tried to intercept them, but they got away.
  • Surveillance photos of the masked suspects were released to the public by authorities, who are seeking help in identifying them.
  • The Boston Fire Department’s arson unit concluded the explosion was set deliberately, and Boston police performed a sweep of the building, finding no additional devices.
  • The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Harvard University Police Department, the Boston Police Department, the Boston Fire Department, and the FBI.

Response and Campus Impact

  • No one was injured in the blast, and only a portion of the building was closed afterward as a precaution.
  • Officials have asked anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to contact law enforcement.
  • The investigation remains active, and the public has been advised to avoid the affected portion of the building unless absolutely necessary.

Context

  • As of now, details regarding the motive, the type of explosive used, and the extent of property damage have not been publicly released.
  • The university community has been urged to remain vigilant as law enforcement continues to investigate the case.

This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available from official sources.

The descriptions of the suspects should explain their motivations:

  • First Suspect:
    • Wore khaki pants and Crocs
    • Brown hooded sweatshirt with apparent “NYC” lettering
    • Light-colored ski mask
  • Second Suspect:
    • Wore plaid pajama pants
    • Dark sweatshirt
    • Light-colored ski mask

Aw…SNAP!

According to the Daily Wire:

President Donald Trump unloaded on Democrats — and posted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) office number for anyone who wanted to complain — after federal judges weighed in on whether or not Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits could be allowed to lapse amid the ongoing government shutdown.

Two federal judges — U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Massachusetts and U.S. District Judge John McConnell in Rhode Island — on Friday ordered the Trump administration to continue paying out SNAP benefits despite the government shutdown, with McConnell further ordering the administration to tap into emergency funds in order to pay out the benefits “as soon as possible.” Talwani’s order gave the administration until November 3 to come up with a way to fund the program, but did not specify where those funds should come from.

Trump pushed back in a post shared on Truth Social, saying that he was instructing his attorneys to find the fastest way to fund the program and make sure that people could receive the assistance they needed — but he also pointed out the fact that Democrats were continuing to block Republican efforts to reopen the government, thus creating the current quandary.

Some things:

  • This is not good for Democrats. They want the pain. It’s their leverage.
  • The judges can’t do this. They don’t understand the economy and how the government is funded. They are overstepping their bounds again.
  • The Trump administration knows this. They are going back to the courts to ask them how to do it.
  • There are no appeals planned.

What If These People Were Muslims?

According to the Daily Wire:

President Donald Trump issued a direct warning to Nigeria on Saturday, promising to withhold aid from the nation and threatening to take further action if the government did not step in and put a stop to the targeted killing of Christians there.

Trump made a statement via his Truth Social platform, calling on the Nigerian government to stop the Islamic terrorists who were killing Christians and warning that if they did not do so quickly, the United States could “go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing.’”

Trump issued an order on Friday stating that he was designating Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC), citing the ongoing and relentless persecution of Christians conducted by “radical Islamist” terrorists.

Episode 1121 – Poor, Poor Liberia!

Donald Trump gets a big win while in Japan.

Canada caves when some low-level politician puts out a BS ad against Trump and tariffs.

And the crap-hole Liberia is going to get worse soon.

Another Big Win

According to Perplexity:

The latest United States–Japan trade deal was signed in July 2025 and implements a wide-ranging framework focused on investment, market access, and tariff adjustments. Under the agreement, Japan committed to invest $550 billion in American industries, while the United States established a baseline 15% tariff rate on nearly all Japanese imports, replacing previous higher rates.

Main Features of the Trade Deal

  • Japanese Investment in the US
    • Japan pledged $550 billion in investments to the U.S. economy, with funding directed towards sectors such as manufacturing, semiconductors, energy, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, shipbuilding, and pharmaceuticals.
    • A Consultation Committee from both governments will identify key projects, with final approval given by the U.S. president.
  • Tariff Structure
    • A baseline 15% tariff is now applied to most Japanese imports, including automobiles and industrial goods, down from previous rates as high as 27.5%.
    • Tariff rates for certain sectors (like pharmaceuticals and natural resources) may be set to 0% if these products are unavailable domestically in the U.S..
  • Market Access and U.S. Exports
    • Japan agreed to rapidly increase imports of U.S. rice by 75% and make annual purchases of at least $8 billion of U.S. agricultural products, including corn, soybeans, fertilizer, bioethanol, and sustainable aviation fuel.
    • Longstanding restrictions on U.S. automobiles will be lifted, allowing American automakers to sell vehicles in Japan with U.S. safety certifications and standards.
  • Energy and Technology Cooperation
    • Japan will purchase major volumes of U.S. energy annually, including expanded imports of liquefied natural gas and commitments to invest in U.S. energy infrastructure projects.
    • Both countries signed a critical minerals agreement to secure strategic supply chains for rare earths and advanced nuclear power reactors.
  • Aerospace and Defense
    • Japan committed to buying 100 Boeing aircraft and increasing purchases of U.S.-manufactured defense equipment, as well as including semiconductors and technology as part of the defense trade.

Oversight and Enforcement

  • The deal includes U.S. government oversight over how and where Japanese investment occurs, with mechanisms for monitoring progress and ensuring compliance; tariff increases are possible if commitments are not met.
  • Both sides retain the right to adjust future sector-specific tariffs, but Japan is assured it will not face higher rates than any other country for certain products.

Political and Economic Impact

  • The agreement was signed by President Donald Trump and Japan’s new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, highlighting the close national security and economic partnership between the two countries.
  • At least 10 major Japanese firms, including SoftBank, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, and Honda, have shown immediate interest in launching U.S. projects under the terms of the deal.

This trade deal is regarded as one of the largest bilateral investment and trade agreements in recent U.S. history, aiming to boost American manufacturing, secure strategic resources, and deepen economic cooperation across multiple sectors.

Reagan Used Tariffs

If you watched the World Series, you might remember this ad:

According to the Daily Wire:

The liberal Canadian premier who launched a $75 million anti-tariff ad campaign in the United States featuring former President Ronald Reagan will yank the effort after pressure from President Donald Trump.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said Friday afternoon that he would pause the ad campaign put out by his administration targeting Americans starting on Monday. That announcement came after Trump on Thursday said he had ended all trade talks with Canada over the ad, calling it an effort to influence American politics.

“Our intention was always to initiate a conversation about the kind of economy that Americans want to build and the impact of tariffs on workers and businesses,” Ford posted on X. “We’ve achieved our goal, having reached U.S. audiences at the highest levels. I’ve directed my team to keep putting our message in front of Americans over the weekend so that we can air our commercial during the first two World Series games.”

Ford said he would “pause [the] U.S. advertising campaign effective Monday so that trade talks can resume” after speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney

What Took So Long?!

According to the Daily Wire:

The Trump administration says it has brokered a deal with Liberia to accept alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia when he’s deported from the United States, according to a Friday court filing.

Abrego Garcia presented a list of 20 countries he feared deportation to, but the list didn’t include Liberia, Justice Department lawyers wrote in the filing. The Trump administration is looking to deport him as early as October 31.

Federal officials “have received diplomatic assurances regarding the treatment of third country individuals removed to Liberia from the United States and are making the final necessary arrangements for Petitioner’s removal.”

The Trump administration deported Abrego Garcia, who entered the U.S. illegally in 2011, to his native El Salvador in June, despite an “administrative error.” He was brought back to the U.S. on human smuggling charges.

Who Could Have Seen It

According to the Daily Wire:

An Ohio man who was convicted in the high-profile beating death of 17-year-old Ethan Liming has been released from prison, and was arrested and charged this past week in a different murder.

Deshawn Stafford, 24, has been charged with murdering Timothy Hutchinson, a 25-year-old Ohio man who was working as an engineer in his hometown. Hutchinson was reportedly struck unintentionally during an exchange of gunfire allegedly between Stafford and another individual.

In addition to the murder charge, Stafford is facing charges of felonious assault, discharging a firearm on a public roadway, having a weapon while under disability, drug trafficking, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

GoFundMe for Hutchinson set up by the victim’s sister says Hutchinson graduated from the mechanical engineering program of University of Akron less than a year ago.

Episode 384 – That’s Some Strong Cardboard

Sometimes our tech overlords do the right thing. And the right thing will always tick off the Left.

The China virus disaster needs to be made into a disaster again.

And here are some updates from the Olympics in Tokyo.

This is a Good Thing

Jeff Bezos blasted into space yesterday reaching about 65 miles above the earth. It was a beautiful launch. The occurred two weeks after Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic launching into the upper atmosphere two weeks ago. Bezos launched in a ship called Blue Origin.

  • First off, the ship did look like a penis. It’s funny and everyone is pointing it out.
  • The trip cost about $5.5 billion.
  • Onboard was his brother Mark, 82-year-old aviation pioneer Wally Funk (the oldest person in space) and Oliver Daemen, an 18-year-old Dutch student who is the youngest ever to fly in space.
  • Funk, who is a woman, was actually trying to be an astronaut in the 1960s but couldn’t because she was a woman. This is awesome and I’m thrilled for her.
  • Climbing straight up atop 110,000 pounds of push, the rocket rapidly accelerated as it consumed its load of supercold liquid oxygen and hydrogen propellants, pushing the passengers back in their recliner-style seats with about three times the normal force of gravity.
  • At 45 miles up, the rocket separated from the capsule and landed safely to the ground, ready to be reused again. This is an awesome discovery.
  • At 66.5 miles in the air, the crew enjoyed three minutes of weightlessness.
  • The capsule then returned to earth, landing in the Texas desert. This is also a new discovery. Remember, they used to land in the ocean.

After the ten minute flight, Jeff Bezos clumsily said:

This would seem like this is a great thing. We now have three companies (SpaceX, Virgin Atlantic and Amazon) who are now competing for commercial dominance of space. We should all agree this is a good thing. But the Leftists don’t look at the fantastic achievements of these three countries. Nope. They decide to attack the individuals (Elon Musk, Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos) who made this all come true.

Bernie Sanders tweeted:

Yes, he should be impressed. This is amazing and an impressive thing.

Chief Elizabeth Warren tweeted:

“It’s time for Jeff Bezos to take care of business right here on Earth and pay his fair share in taxes.”

Here’s a hint: Bezos does pay his “fair share” of taxes.

AOC tweeted:

There’s so much wrong with this tweet, it’s hardly funny:

  • Amazon workers didn’t pay for this. That was a clumsy statement by Bezos.
  • The employees of Amazon work in a free market and receive what the market will bear. If they don’t like working at Amazon, they can quit and get another job.
  • Amazon customers did not pay for that. They pain Amazon for their rolls of toilet paper to be delivered.
  • Amazon took the profits from that toilet paper delivery and reinvested it into an Amazon space program which will expand and make the world better.

Bernie and AOC hate this accomplishment because:

  • It proves capitalism works.
    • Competition between private companies creates better technology.
    • This is technology that the government would never have come up with.
  • They want to take away the profits that enabled this advance in technology and do nothing with it. Don’t forget, AOC wants the federal government to invest in a high speed rail system. What are we, in the 1850s?
  • They push the big lie that Bezos, Musk and Branson don’t pay any taxes. That’s BS. The top 25% of earners pay 100% of the net taxes along with their companies. This is the Big Lie.
  • Finally, why are we listening to people who have never hired one person, never ran a business and have gotten rich off the tax payers dime? What the hell have these two ever done?
  • Jeez, AOC’s only other job was as a part time bartender. Bernie has been kicked out of a commune because he wouldn’t do any work. He was too lazy.

The media, of course, is also blasting the accomplishment.

The Washington Post tweeted:

WBUR.org wrote in an article:

But there is something deeply wrong with our society when three of the wealthiest men on Earth, including Jeff Bezos, spend billions of dollars on an ego-fueled race to space, while the world is reeling from a global pandemic and people on our planet are quite literally starving. A new Oxfam report finds 11 people are likely dying every minute from hunger and malnutrition, outpacing COVID-19 fatalities. This, as Jeff Bezos prepares for his 11-minute thrill ride.

The Verge wrote in an article:

As long as the space industry is dependent on billionaire funds for spacecraft built for billionaire (and millionaire) customers, the perception that this is a hobby for the ultrawealthy will inevitably remain. “We have to deal with the fact that billionaires trying to make more money are the public face of the space sector right now,” Brian Weeden, a director at the Secure World Foundation, said.

Jacobinmag.com titles an article Leave the Billionaires in Space.

Notice something with these articles?

  • It pushes class warfare by pushing greed and envy.
  • It also makes this look like a luxury instead of the great accomplishment with an awesome future in space flight that will be necessary.
    • Yes, space flight is for billionaires…now. But soon it will be for millionaires, then for the wealth and finally, for the regular Joe.
    • You know what else was only for the billionaires before? Regular flight, televisions, cars, cell and smart phones, computers, wine and travel. All are now available to regular people.
  • These articles bring out that there is poverty around the world. But there always has been poverty and there will always be poverty. Jeff Bezos not having a space program is not going to change that.
  • Definitely paying more taxes by these guys is not going to fix the problems of civilization. What has any politician actually done for society?

The space flights over the last couple of weeks and the upcoming flight by SpaceX are fantastic and should be celebrated:

  • Innovation. The private sector, because of competition, are always innovating to state ahead of the game.
  • The private sector is doing something that the government mistakenly quit doing in the 70s like going to the moon. The space shuttle program was a disaster and they just kind of given up.
  • Space exploration, innovation and, eventually, colonization is going to be necessary because of:
    • Defense.
    • Overpopulation.
    • Resources.
    • Protecting the Earth from space objects like meteors.
    • Ejecting dangerous terrestrial material such as nuclear waste and the batteries from those Prius cars that Lefties drive to save the environment.
    • Unlocking the mysteries of the universe.
  • This is costing the tax payer nothing. It is all being done by private business. The government pays for what they want done.
  • This proves that capitalism is awesome. Do you think China is going to be able to compete with us in space with their government run program?

This story reminds me why I am a Conservative. I am not greedy or envious. I love capitalism. I think our country is awesome and the best in human history and I see that what Amazon, SpaceX and Virgin Atlantic are doing proves that. The Left always has to see the badness in everything this country does. It’s tired and it’s getting old. It makes them look like a bunch of bitter, old, grouchy men.

This Guy is Full of Sh*+!

The problem with an emergency, of any kind, where the government can take more power is that it eventually ends to the dismay of the power hungry. The problem for us is the government will gin up some reason to keep the emergency going.

That’s what the government is trying to do with the China virus.

The United States is now seeing the Delta variant of the China virus. This variant originated from India and is more contagious than the previous three variants and people who are vaccinated can catch it. This has led the government to panic again:

  • Los Angeles is requiring masks no matter if one is vaccinated or now.
  • Schools in California are going to require all students to mask up in school even though there is no evidence the virus is passed from child to adult and less than 350 kids under the age of 18 have died of the virus since the pandemic started.
  • Colleges are going to require all students to be vaccinated even though those age groups tend not to die.
  • Children as young as three are going to be required to wear masks. Doesn’t matter that studies have shown that CO2 levels in children rise with masks on all day.

This is all BS. It is an attempt to keep our emergency going even though it is over:

  • In California, on Tuesday, there were 4723 new China virus cases. That’s way up. Only 4 people died. When the pandemic was in full swing, 2000 people a day would die.
  • The hospitals are not being overrun.
  • Research has shown that the vaccinated do not die of the Delta variant. They usually do not even show symptoms.
  • The federal government doesn’t seem too concerned since they are letting in illegal aliens with no vaccine or testing requirements and just letting them into the interior.
  • A substantial number are coming over the border infected. The number are debated so I won’t throw any out there.

In communist countries, like Cuba and the Soviet Union, the tyrants always claimed to be in a perpetual revolution. That always justified their tyranny and made the people hold their heads up in patriotic pride even though they are being repressed. That’s what is happening with the government and this perpetual pandemic. They need to continue having the pandemic and screaming about it because that justifies their crappy and repressive policies.

But what I’m really surprised about is that no one is asking or even curious that this virus was probably engineered in a Chinese lab and that the United States (the NIH) probably financed it. Who heads the NIH? Anthony Fauci, the trusted source by the Left of all that is China virus related.

Rand Paul, who is a real doctor (an optometrist) and thinks Tony Fauci is full of crap, got into an argument with Fauci about the gain of function work done by the Wuhan lab. Fauci decided to use language to deflect blame. The two ended up calling each other liars. Listen:

If you watch the video, one can see how nervous Fauci is.

The argument is about gain of function. Gain of function is when a virus is manipulated so that it takes on other or more qualities. It is commonly used for the creation of vaccines. Paul is arguing that China used gain of function to make an animal virus transmissible to humans. Fauci is arguing that the molecules used for gain of function weren’t responsible for the pandemic. He’s basically changing the definition of gain of function. He’s also covering his ass incase of a perjury charge.

The only reason I care about this is because I want Tony Fauci to look like an ass because he’s a fraud. I want to know only three things:

  • Was this virus created in a Chinese lab?
  • Did we fund that or any other lab and why? China is an enemy.
  • And, if so, what are we, and the world community, going to do about it?

Nothing else matters and this is political theater.

Olympics

I’m not watching them but the Olympics are going in Tokyo. I may not be watching but that doesn’t mean fun stuff isn’t happening.

Good Idea

One thing that the IOC has always had problems with is the athletes constantly having sex with each other. They’ve had years where condoms, that are given to the athletes, became unavailable. Now I don’t blame the athletes. They’re in a foreign country, athletic and able, good looking and tense. I can see it.

Problem is, the IOC is worried about the China virus. They’re not worried about chlamydia, herpes, HIV or syphilis. They’re worried about a disease that is not going to kill any of them. But, whatever, I guess it’s a start. They decided to give the athletes cardboard beds that are designed to break when more than one person is on them. That’s clever. Might not work.

Apparently, there was an Irish gymnast who started jumping on the bed to prove it could handle his carnal delights. Rhys McClenaghan proved that the IOC failed:

So, there you go. IOC fails again. First, the let a man into the women’s weightlifting competition now they can’t create a bed the 130 pound Irish gymnasts can’t break.

Good Deal

But the last story was not the biggest from Tokyo this week.

The Women’s Soccer Team all kneeled before their game today. The they proceeded to lose to Sweden 3-0 in the most embarrassing loss they have ever suffered.

Good for them!

They’re Just Making This Stuff Up

For our TikTok adventure today, let’s listen to @zoestoller. I would assume, by the name, he’s a she. But we can never know. Maybe she’s a he. She, he or it is describing a new flag for a new gender that he, she, it decided to create. The new gender is called “ges-sarah” I think. Listen:

  • These guys just are making this crap up now.
  • They also don’t define anything. They have a tendency to just use multi-syballic words consecutively but the whole thing ends up being gender-fluid anyway which means any comprehensible definition could change at any moment.
  • This shows that our kids need direction and an accomplishment. Like a war. Something that will really focus them to something that is truly important.
  • These kids have just gotten spoiled, bored and lazy. Instead of having a job, this Zoe guy is just sitting around all day and making crap up.
  • It would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic.

Episode 124 Show Notes – RIP Mamba

It’s going to be a somber week.

The End of the Holocaust

Today, Monday, is the day that ended the holocaust. This was day that Auschwitz was closed and the prisoners freed.

And I’m a bad person for not paying enough attention to this.

Rest in Peace

On Sunday, at about 10 AM, a helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Laker great, his daughter Gianni or Gigi and seven others ran into dense fog in the north Los Angeles town of Calabasas.

The others killed were kids and parents for the team that Gigi played on.

I think it is important we include those people. We can get caught into Kobe passing but I do not think his death was the most tragic. I think Gigi, Alyssa, Sarah and Payton, all teenagers, was the most tragic. There’s just something about the loss of a child

It is one thing to lose a husband or wife, but to lose a child also, I just can’t imagine it. It pulls at my heart just thinking about it. I pray for Vanessa Bryant and her kids. I just can’t conceive.

The response from the NBA, their players, coaches and fans has been plentiful. One of the most hard is when the Raptors and Spurs traded 24 second violations. Twenty-four was Kobe’s number.

But the hardest to watch was Clipper’s coach, Doc Rivers responding to Kobe’s passing.

Other responses include:

  • Kobe will be inducted into the Hall of Fame immediately.
  • The Lakers and Clippers game has been postponed.
  • Calls for changing the NBA insignia for the rest of the year have been called for.
  • Crowds gathered at the Staples Center even though the Grammy’s were being held.
  • Kobe’s retired numbers were lit during the Garmmy’s.
  • Crowds gathered and stayed at the crash site.

He was a pretty well-liked guy. And there was good reason.

Why Do I Care

Notice how I knew Kobe’s wife’s name? I never met Kobe but I was a Lakers fan (I’m from Los Angeles) and have been following them since the 70s.

Kobe came from Charlotte in a trade for Vlad Divac which no one thought was a bad trade. Vlad was a lug and, when Magic Johnson retired, he was worthless.

Here comes Kobe, great name. Skinny eighteen year old, not great. Awesome afro.

When you watched him play, one could see he was different. The slithered down the court and had unsuspecting speed. And he could stay in the air for a year. He looked like Michael Jordan. And he had no fear. This little kid would go right down the lane, against the biggest guys to get his shots up. And, the ones he made were amazing.

The ones his missed made one sigh and shake his head.

He was eighteen, arrogant (which means he had no fear) and would miss more than he hit. He was also the most talented on a really weak and small team.

Enter Shaqhille  O’Neil.

O’Neil set him straight. And Kobe hated that. Kobe was no longer the big man on the team. Shaq was.

But the Lakers started to win. With Shaq, the Lakers won back-to-back-to-back championships (2000-2002). They were so good, no one really was surprised on the third championship.

But the people were excited. Everyone, including me, had a Lakers flag on their car. We had parties during the final games (yeah, there was booze). It was a great time.

But the soap opera continued. And it was a soap opera. Shaq and Kobe hated each other (they made up after a while).

Shaq went to Miami with another guy named Dwayne Wade. With him, Shaq won another championship.

Kobe had some lean years after Shaq left. He was awesome, but the team sucked. I didn’t think they would win again.

The Lakers made some trades. They got Pao Gasol, Derek Fisher, Metta World Peace (Ron Artest), Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom. They became a competitor.

They won back-to-back championships from 2009-2010. But, this time, Kobe was the leader. He was the MVP.

In his last game, on a team that sucked and after recovering from a torn Achilles, he scored 61 points. He was amazing.

See, that’s why Kobe is mourned. He brought joy to people. He wasn’t a god or anything. He was just a good looking kid that loved what he did, had a drive and competitiveness everyone want and loved Los Angeles.

And Los Angeles loved him.

When he retired, I didn’t see the purpose of watching basketball. I haven’t watched a full game since he retired.

Here’s some irony: upon Kobe’s retirement, he flew from Staples Center on the same helicopter that crashed into that Calabasas mountain.

If that doesn’t give one goose bumps, I don’t know what will.

Very Tacky

Of course, there are always people that want to politicize even the worst of tragedies.

A Washington Post reporter was suspended for pointing out, an hour after he died, that he was accused of rape. She’s suspended and there are calls for her to lose her job.

Not me. We heard this and the results. Why this needed to be brought up, I don’t know. I know Vanessa and Kobe had three more kids after that incident.

Ok, Kobe wasn’t perfect. But he grew up. He made up for his sins (that we know of). He loved his kids. And kids change a person. Give him a break. Sometimes #MeToo has no place.

Remember the Biblical saying by Christ: “Ye who have no stone cast the first stone.”

The Bryants were Catholics. Kobe and his daughter went to Church before their ill-fated flight. He was a man which means he flawed. He and Vanessa worked through it. They stayed together.

And, though Kobe was guilty, I don’t think he was that guilty.

Then there was the gal from MSNBC who was accused of calling Kobe the N-word in a flub.

I think it’s crap. But all the Conservative sites are screaming about it. Get over it.

“Tear Down That Wall”

The un-American American women’s soccer team played this week and were an embarrassment. Rep. Ben Crenshaw has to prove he is a patriot and he does so in an unusual way. Sarah Sanders, my favorite press secretary of all time, resigns. And it was the anniversary of one of the greatest speeches in American history.

It’s been an awesome news  weeks.

I Hope They Lose

I love soccer. I played for 18 years. So, when the FIFA World Cup comes around, I am transfixed for a month. Even if it’s the women that are playing. I love women’s soccer. It’s not as fast but it’s just as exciting.

The last men’s World Cup sucked because the U.S. team did not make it. That was disappointing but I watched anyway. Now the women are playing. U.S. Women’s soccer is far more successful. They have won the World Cup four times and are the defending champions. Contrary to what one might think, I am a little wary of rooting for them. And, after the first game against Thailand, I almost hope they lose. Though not to France. I hate France.

But I digress. You be asking why I’m not cheering for the U.S. women’s team? Well, there are three reasons.

The first is this team decided to file a lawsuit against the United States Soccer Federation. Their complaint says that the team is suffering from gender discrimination because they do not get paid as much as the men’s team does. This is a stupid lawsuit based on “woke” principles. And woke principles are twisted anyway.

There is a reason women’s sports, all of them, are payed less than the men’s sports. Men’s sports make more money. The men’s World Cup last year made $4 billion while the women’s World Cup made only $75 million. The women’s World Cup team, though the best in the women’s international competitions, could never compete against the men’s international team. Heck, they lost against a U15 team from Texas by the score of 5-2. There’s a reason there are no major professional sports leagues for women. They all fail because no one watches them. Yes, there is the WNBA, but that is being financed by the NBA and has been in the red since it started.

Men’s sports are just more exciting to watch. Men are stronger, faster and more aggressive. Women’s sports, not so much.

The second reason is because of woke-scold Megan Rapinoe. Apparently she hates Donald Trump so much she refused to stand for the National Anthem. Her coach told her, before the World Cup, that she needed to stand. So she made it clear that she would stand but she refused to put her hand on her chest and refused to sing the National Anthem. She was inspired by that other idiot, and now irrelevant, Colin Kaepernick. What’s really embarrassing is watching all the other countries, especially the crap-hole countries, all showing their countries respect and the players representing the best country in the world basically spit at it.

It’s disgusting. This is a woman who has played soccer her entire life and has the privilege to represent our country. She never needed a real job. Just play soccer, get paid and shut up.

I am disgusted that these young people think that one man represents a country. Donald Trump is not the United States. His presidency will be a blink of the eye in the history of the United States. When I hear the National Anthem, I think of the soldiers out there protecting us, I think of all the good we have done, I think of all the mistakes and injustices we have corrected. I think of the most powerful civilization and community that cares for those that aren’t part of our community. When a tidal waves hits Indonesia, who donated billions of dollars? When Mexico City has a huge earthquake that kills thousands, who donates billions of dollars. And I mean donates. People actually pulled money out of their wallets and give it. I’m not just talking about the government giving money. No other country does this.

This gal disgusts me. She should move to a country that she thinks is awesome and see how awesome other places really are. She definitely shouldn’t be representing the United States.

Finally, what the United States team did to Thailand on Tuesday was just tacky. I understand that goal differential is a thing, but 13 goals? Really? They needed to thoroughly embarrass a country that way? The Thai players were crying on the field. You think maybe the goal differential thing might have become a moot point after 9 goals? This is soccer, not basketball.

I’m disgusted with this team. I hope they lose. But they probably won’t.

A Metaphor

I love Twitter. There are always weird little wars between people. In this case, it is between a New York Times writer and Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R.-Texas).

Apparently, Wajahat Ali, an opinion writer for the New York Times posted this Tweet:

Well, there’s just a small problem with this Tweet: Rep. Crenshaw is the co-sponsor for the for the bill. And, as far as being less patriotic than Ilhan Omar… well, you see what he Tweeted back at the New York Times journalist:

That’s right! He posted his response correcting the false claim and sent Ali a picture of his skull proving that he is missing his eye. Crenshaw lost his eye in Afghanistan  when an improvised explosive device went off. He was a Navy SEAL and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. Ali deleted the Tweet when he was corrected. I bet he will never doubt the  patriotism of Dan Crenshaw again.

But this story is a little more than just a humorous anecdote. It is a metaphor for how the left and right debate. The left will make things up and try to convince the world that their lies are true. But the right has truth on its side. So we can’t lose. In the old days, the right would just go along with the crap and simply deny the story. Now, the right is beginning to attack. That’s why Trump is so popular. People call him a traitor, racist, sexist, bigot, misogynist, criminal and business failure. And he has no fear blasting his critics.

We should learn from this. We should stand our ground when it comes to standing for our beliefs. Someone sits there and tells me I have no right to be against abortion, I slam them with facts and the truth. When they start getting personal like this idiot from the New York Times, I know I’ve won and I will just dismiss him like the maggot he is.

My Favorite Press Secretary Resigns

Sarah Sanders is leaving a Press Secretary for the President. This makes me sad. She was an awesome Press Secretary. In fact, she was my all-time favorite. She had the most difficult job in the world. Dealing with an insanely aggressive and vicious press defending her unstable boss who says and Tweets the dumbest things on a daily basis.

I loved watching her speak. She’s a mixture of grace, intelligence and viciousness. All needed to be a great Press Secretary. Here are some of her best moments from the Daily Caller:

Gonna miss you Sarah!

Inspiring

On June 12, 1987, Ronald Reagan made one of the most powerful and emotional speeches in the history of the United States. It was in West Berlin in West Germany. Many of my younger listeners may not be aware that the Soviet Union (known as Russia today) occupied half of Germany. Separating the two countries was a huge wall. Anyone who tried to get over that wall and into West Germany was shot without warning. This was part of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union.

The United States, booming economically, continued to build up our defense. We built up our nuclear arsenal, our air force and were even looking into arming ourselves in space (the plan was known as Star Wars). The Soviet Union, which was not economically stable, tried to keep.

They couldn’t. Mikhail Gorbachev, the General Secretary of the Communist Party was in trouble. And he knew it. Reagan decided it was time to put the nail in the coffin of the Soviet Union, and he did with this speech:

It was only a short time after this speech that the Soviet Union collapsed. The German, on both sides of the wall, grabbed hammers and started chipping away at the wall. It was truly the greatest speech of the 20th century and one of the greatest in the history of the United States. Those were really some good times. By the way, this is really one of the best reasons to go to the Reagan Library. There, by Ronald Reagan’s grave, is a huge chunk of that wall. It’s quite amazing.
