Episode 1089 – Are Democrats Defending Child Slave Labor?

The Los Angeles Times and the media have made fools of themselves once again. This time, they seem to be lying to protect slavery and child exploitation.

Let’s see what they are saying.

Time to Defend Slave Labor

According to the L.A. Times:

The crowd outside Glass House Farms in Camarillo in the wake of Thursday’s chaotic immigration sweep was a strange mix.

There were vocal protesters hurling insults and sometimes water bottles at federal agents, and there were anxious friends and family of those who work at Glass House, a huge cannabis operation. Then there were curious bystanders like Mike Elliott, a Camarillo resident who voted for President Trump and stopped to see what was happening, saying he wanted to bear witness. Also on hand was Oxnard native Christina Muñoz, who said she brought her 2-year-old son, 5-month-old daughter and her mom in hopes of getting a glimpse of her husband, a member of the National Guard whom she hadn’t seen in 30 days.

Federal agents raided two Glass House Farms sites on Thursday, said Maria Navarro, an Oxnard policy advocate for the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE). The organization was alerted at 10:20 a.m. that sweeps were happening at both California locations of the company, in Carpinteria and Camarillo.

She hurried to the Camarillo site, where she came upon a tense scene, with protesters gathering and family members of workers trying to pick up their loved ones. But federal agents had already closed off access to the worksite. More and more people arrived, and Navarro said activists were trying to prevent trucks full of detainees from leaving.

At the east entrance to the Camarillo facility, amid lush fields of blooming bush beans, the action started about 10 a.m. when federal agents entered the facility. Protesters and worried family began arriving soon afterward, and by 2:30 p.m., a line of about 30 agents, including National Guard members, was barricading nearby Laguna Road.

The growing crowd was kept at least a quarter of a mile away from the facility. Protesters said that some people among the crowd had been detained. Jonathan Caravello, a philosophy professor at Cal State Channel Islands, was arrested, according to activist Angelmarie Taylor, who said she was one of his students and had accompanied him to the protest.

Taylor claimed Caravello was arrested as he tried to help a man in a wheelchair when agents were pushing the crowd to move back.

She said he and another individual “were piled on by multiple agents all at once” before being taken behind a line of agents to where several vehicles stood, “and we have no idea now where they are.”

As the sweep was underway, 24-year-old Cesar Ortiz spoke to a Times photographer outside Glass House Farms.

He said he had a brother inside the facility who had only begun working there a week ago.

“They are taking everyone and the truth is it’s not right because these people come to work, struggle every day, to earn for bread every day.

“There are no narcos here,” he said, “no one is armed here and they come fully armed, full of military personnel.”

Ortiz said he had been in communication with his brother, who he feared would be deported. He said authorities had his brother in a container. People “are [choking] in there with the air, without air-conditioned air.”

He also had a message for Trump: “We all have a right to come here and work. Here, we all have a dream, we have to give it our all.”

Marc Cohodes, an investor and famed short-seller who has invested in Glass House, called the raid “beyond outrageous.” He added that Glass House is “the largest cannabis cultivator in the world” and “a highly regulated business fully licensed by the state of California. It’s run by a guy named Kyle Kazan, who is an ex-cop who plays by the rules and does things by the book.” Kazan, he added, is also a supporter of Trump.

Glass House Farms posted a statement on X on Thursday saying that the company had been “visited today by ICE officials” and “fully complied with agent search warrants.” The statement said nothing else, except to add that the company would “provide further updates if necessary.”

Ambulances were seen going in and out of the Camarillo facility, and Cohodes said as many as 14 people were injured in the action and taken to hospitals.

As the protest heated up, some members of the crowd shouted obscenities at agents. When gas canisters were fired, a few hurled water bottles before running away from the fumes. One woman on a megaphone pleaded with the officers to leave their posts and join the protesters so they could be on the right side of history.

But off to the side, Ricardo Mojica, a tall, silver-haired grandfather, quietly tried to talk to agents to find out what was happening with his son, who worked inside.

Mojica said his 31-year-old son “has no criminal records, he has never been arrested and was born just six miles from here at St. John’s Hospital. He’s the father of my granddaughter, and I haven’t heard anything from him since this morning.”

Mojica pointed to one of the Border Patrol guards and said, ‘He told me my son was being detained, but then his partner told him not to talk to me. I just want to know why he’s being held.”

Around 4:30 p.m. Oxnard native Christina Muñoz held her 2-year-old son on her hip as she strained to catch a glimpse of her husband, Christopher, a National Guardsman who she heard had been deployed that day from Los Angeles to the factory raid. Her mother stood nearby holding Christina’s infant daughter.

“I haven’t seen him for 30 days,” Muñoz said, “and I was hoping I could see him here.”

She and her children have been staying with her family in Oxnard since her husband was deployed.

“We thought it would be for just a few days,” she said, “but we didn’t see him for Father’s Day or the Fourth of July. We had no idea it would last this long.”

“He’s needed at home,” Muñoz’s mother said, as she bounced the baby in her arms. “His family needs him.”

Off to the side of the protesters, David Elliott stood watching the scene with a beer in one hand and a small six-pack cooler in the other.

“I’m out of beer,” he joked. The Camarillo resident said he had been heading for the beach, “but I got caught up in all the traffic and I thought, ‘You know what? I’m going to hang out here and see what happens.’”

Elliott said he supports law enforcement and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and he voted for Donald Trump to be president, but he doesn’t like what’s happening now with the immigration sweeps.

“I voted for Trump because he said he was going to go after the bad guys, and I know they’re there, but I don’t like what they’re doing now …. going after people at Home Depot or farmworkers in the fields.

“These are hardworking people — my gardener and his crew started working for my parents 20 years ago and now they work for me, and they’re illegal; they’re not bad people, they’re like family, and a lot of us depend on the work they do.

“I voted for Trump to clean out the bad guys first and then start working on a system to get the farmworkers and gardeners, but there’s got to be a better way. There should be a way to integrate them into our system because they work harder than anyone I know.”

There were a few things left out of this article:

  • Pot is still federally illegal.
  • Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed on X that 319 unlawful immigrants were apprehended during the raid at Glass House Farms.
  • Law enforcement rescued 14 children from potential forced labor, exploitation, and trafficking.
  • 8 of the children were unaccompanied. This means they were probably trafficked.
  • One man (Roman Izquierda) taken into custody has a history of violent crime, including attempted child exploitation including a 7 year sentence for kidnapping & attempted rape, w/ a prior conviction for attempted child molestation.
  • Another illegal alien (Juan Duarte-Velasquez) was wanted for DUI and Rape.
  • Jose Orellana was convicted of felonet DUI and Hit-and-run.
  • Adriana Gonzalez-Gonzalez was convicted three times for burglary and DUI.
  • Glass House Farms is under investigation for possible child labor law violations.
  • The company’s co-founder, president and board director, Graham Farrar, donated $10,000 to California Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2018, among other Democratic politicians. He has also donated to Republicans, and shown support for Republicans who expressed support for liberalizing cannabis laws.
  • The protestors threw rocks and bottles at ICE vehicles as they were leaving.
  • On individual is wanted for shooting a gun at ICE agents. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
  • Agents claim that Jonathan Caravello was arrested for allegedly throwing a tear gas canister at law enforcement officers

An irate Trump took to his Truth Social platform to blast the protesters, and authorize ICE to take whatever precautions are necessary to protect themselves during future raids.

“I am on my way back from Texas, and watched in disbelief as THUGS were violently throwing rocks and bricks at ICE Officers while they were moving down a roadway in their car and/or official vehicle,” he said.

Trump continued with a social media post:

“Tremendous damage was done to these brand new vehicles. I know for a fact that these Officers are having a hard time with allowing this to happen in that it shows such total disrespect for LAW AND ORDER.

“I am giving Total Authorization for ICE to protect itself, just like they protect the Public,” he wrote. “I never want to see a car carrying a Law Enforcement Officer attacked again! AUTHORIZATION IMMEDIATELY GRANTED FOR ARREST AND INCARCERATION. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Reactions

The reporter is Abby Phillips.

No. 10 of the 14 children were unaccompanied. Parental permission is required.

Also, children as young as 12 years old can work on a farm outside of school hours. It doesn’t look like this was happening.

It Just Gets Better

According to L.A. Times:

Mayor Karen Bass announced a plan Friday to provide direct cash assistance to people who have been affected by the Trump administration’s sweeping immigration raids.

The aid will be distributed using cash cards with a “couple hundred” dollars on them, which should be available in about a week, Bass said at a news conference.

“You have people who don’t want to leave their homes, who are not going to work, and they are in need of cash,” she said.

Bass spoke about a family she met who needed two incomes to afford their rent. After one of the breadwinners was detained in an immigration raid, she said, the family is concerned they may face eviction.

It was not immediately clear what the qualifications will be needed to receive the cards.

The mayor emphasized that the money will not come from city coffers but from philanthropic partners. The cards will be distributed by immigrants rights groups such as the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.

The city will coordinate between philanthropists and organizations distributing the cards, according to the mayor’s office.

Episode 1088 – Can We Say Immigration Might Not Be A Good Thing?

Oh the irony as Mexican citizens protest immigration into Mexico by Americans and Central Americans.

The Trump administration is finally doing something about China buying land in the United States.

And these bloody judges just keep overstepping their bounds.

The Irony Is Thick

In July 2025, Mexico City witnessed significant protests targeting the influx of American immigrants and tourists, particularly those working remotely as digital nomads. The demonstrations were primarily fueled by rising rents, gentrification, and the displacement of local residents in popular neighborhoods such as Roma and Condesa, which have seen a marked increase in foreign—especially American—residents since around 2020.

Key grievances voiced by protesters include:

  • Skyrocketing housing costs attributed to the demand from foreigners, especially Americans, who are often able to pay higher rents than locals.
  • Displacement of long-term residents as landlords prioritize short-term rentals and foreign tenants, leading to a loss of community and cultural identity.
  • Government policies that have encouraged tourism and attracted digital nomads, notably a 2022 pact between Mexico City officials, Airbnb, and UNESCO, despite local concerns about the consequences for affordable housing.
  • Perceived lack of integration by some Americans, with criticism that many do not learn Spanish or adapt to local customs, further increasing tensions.

Protest actions and rhetoric:

  • The protests, which began peacefully, escalated in some instances to vandalism, with storefronts smashed, graffiti such as “Gringo Stop stealing home” and “Get out of Mexico,” and direct harassment of foreigners.
  • Some demonstrators used strong anti-American language and imagery, including calls for Americans to leave and accusations of “neo-colonialism” or cultural invasion.
  • Slogans seen during the protests included “Your new home is an invasion,” “We shouldn’t feel like foreigners in our own land,” and “Expat = gentrifier”.

Official and community responses:

  • Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum condemned the xenophobic tone and violence of the protests, emphasizing that Mexico should remain welcoming, but acknowledged the legitimacy of concerns about gentrification and housing affordability.
  • Activist groups behind the protests have insisted their movement is not xenophobic, but rather a response to government failures and unchecked market forces that have prioritized foreign capital over local needs.

Broader context:

  • These protests mirror similar anti-tourism and anti-gentrification movements in European cities facing mass tourism and housing crises.
  • The situation is complicated by the economic ties between the U.S. and Mexico, including remittances sent by Mexicans in the U.S. and the potential diplomatic fallout of stricter visa enforcement.

In summary, the protests in Mexico City are a response to the rapid influx of Americans and other foreigners, which locals blame for unaffordable rents and the erosion of community life. While some protest actions have included xenophobic rhetoric and violence, the underlying issues are rooted in economic inequality, housing policy failures, and the unintended consequences of promoting Mexico City as a destination for remote workers and tourists.

It’s About Damn Time

Overview

The Trump administration has launched a comprehensive effort to restrict and ban Chinese nationals and entities from purchasing property—especially farmland—near U.S. military bases. This move is driven by national security concerns, with bipartisan support in Congress and coordination across multiple federal agencies.

Key Developments

  • National Farm Security Action Plan:
Announced by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, this plan aims to prohibit Chinese citizens from acquiring U.S. farmland and to safeguard agricultural research from foreign influence, intellectual property theft, and agroterrorism. The initiative is both legislative and executive in nature, involving cooperation with Congress and state governments.
  • Focus on Military Base Proximity:
The primary concern is the proximity of foreign-owned land to sensitive military installations. There have been notable cases where Chinese firms attempted to purchase land near bases, such as the Fufeng Group’s 2022 acquisition near a North Dakota Air Force base, which triggered widespread alarm and legislative action.
  • Legislative Measures:
The Senate has overwhelmingly supported measures to ban Chinese and other adversarial entities from owning farmland near military bases. The PASS Act, for example, would prevent entities from China, North Korea, Russia, and Iran from purchasing agricultural land near sensitive sites and empower the Department of Agriculture to refer cases to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) for review.
  • CFIUS Rule Expansion:
Recent updates have expanded CFIUS’s authority to review and potentially block foreign real estate transactions near a list of about fifty sensitive government sites, with some sites having a review radius of up to 100 miles. This expansion is a direct response to concerns about espionage and surveillance risks posed by foreign ownership near military facilities.

Rationale and National Security Concerns

  • Espionage Risks:
The administration’s reasoning centers on the potential for espionage or surveillance activities if Chinese investors, under pressure from their government, gain access to land near military installations. These concerns are heightened by incidents of attempted breaches at military facilities by Chinese nationals, sometimes using drones or posing as tourists.
  • Scale of Ownership:
Chinese entities currently own a relatively small share of U.S. farmland—about 265,000 to 350,000 acres, which is a fraction of a percent of total U.S. farmland. However, the strategic locations of some of these holdings, rather than their total size, are what drive security concerns.

Judge Orders Government to Continue Funding Planned Parenthood

A federal judge has issued a temporary order requiring the U.S. government to continue funding Planned Parenthood, despite a recent law aimed at cutting off Medicaid reimbursements to organizations that provide abortions.

Key Details

  • Temporary Restraining Order (TRO): Judge Indira Talwani granted Planned Parenthood’s request for a TRO, blocking enforcement of a provision in the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” that would have ended Medicaid funding for certain organizations, including Planned Parenthood.
  • Duration: The order is effective for 14 days, with a hearing scheduled for July 21 to determine if the injunction should be extended.
  • Immediate Impact: The ruling means Planned Parenthood will continue to receive Medicaid funds for at least the next two weeks, allowing it to serve patients who rely on these funds for reproductive and sexual health services.
  • Legal Arguments: Planned Parenthood argued the law unfairly targets the organization, violates equal protection rights, and constitutes unconstitutional retaliation. The judge found “good cause” to grant immediate relief, though her order did not include a detailed opinion.
  • Government Position: The law, signed by President Trump, was intended to prohibit Medicaid funds from going to any entity primarily engaged in family planning and that provides abortions. The administration has not commented publicly on the court order.

What Happens Next?

  • The TRO is temporary. The court will hear further arguments on July 21, which could result in a longer-term injunction or allow the funding cutoff to proceed.
  • The case raises constitutional questions about Congress’s power over federal spending and the judiciary’s ability to intervene in funding decisions.

This Won’t Work

The Law Restricting Federal Funding for Abortion

The primary law that prohibits the use of federal taxpayer money to fund most abortions is known as the Hyde Amendment.

Key Facts About the Hyde Amendment

  • What It Is:
The Hyde Amendment is a legislative provision, first passed in 1976, that bars the use of federal funds for abortion services except in very limited circumstances.
  • How It Works:
It is not a permanent law but rather a “rider” attached annually to Congressional appropriations bills, especially those funding the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
  • Exceptions:
Federal funds may only be used for abortions if:
    • The pregnancy endangers the life of the pregnant person.
    • The pregnancy is a result of rape or incest.
  • Scope:
The Hyde Amendment affects Medicaid and other federal programs, meaning millions of people with low incomes who rely on public health insurance cannot use federal funds for abortion except under the exceptions above.

Does Planned Parenthood Commit That Many Abortions?

According to Planned Parenthood’s most recent 2023–2024 Annual Report, abortion services accounted for approximately 4% of all health services provided by the organization during the reporting period. This figure is calculated by dividing the number of abortion procedures (402,230) by the total number of discrete services delivered (9,450,743).

Based on Planned Parenthood’s most recent annual report (2023–2024), the organization performed 402,230 abortions during the reporting period. The minimum estimated revenue from abortion services is calculated by multiplying the lowest reported cost per abortion ($580, typically for medication abortion) by the number of abortions performed. This results in at least $233,293,400 in abortion-related revenue for the year. However, because in-clinic surgical abortions can cost up to $2,000 depending on gestational age, the actual revenue is likely higher. Adjusting for the share of abortions performed at different gestational ages, estimates suggest Planned Parenthood made approximately $247 million from abortion services in 2023–2024

Just Funny

Some things:

  • Notice the media only talks about WHY he was arrested as an afterthought?
  • He’s a permanent resident who doesn’t speak English.
  • He’s a criminal and not legal. I doubt he’s a resident. But if he has a green card and has been convicted of a violent crime, we don’t want him anymore.
  • Incarceration is not meant to be pleasant.
  • For me, if true, this would not be disturbing. His crime is more disturbing.
  • I doubt any of this is true.

He’s Got Bigger Problems Than Being Deported

According to the Daily Wire:

Julio César Chávez Jr. was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Wednesday and is facing deportation to Mexico for overstaying his visa and lying on a green card application.

The arrest came just days after Chávez faced off against boxer and influencer Jake Paul in Anaheim, California. Chávez lost the match.

Chávez, a Mexican citizen, has committed numerous crimes while staying in the United States and has apparent ties to the Sinaloa Cartel, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. He’s facing organized crime charges in Mexico.

“This Sinaloa Cartel affiliate with an active arrest warrant for trafficking guns, ammunition, and explosives was arrested by ICE,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

McLaughlin noted that Chávez was allowed re-entry into the United States under the Biden administration and emphasized that under President Donald Trump, cartel affiliates will not be allowed to remain in the country.

Homeland Security said in a press release that Chávez is being processed for “expedited removal from the United States.” The boxer has an “active arrest warrant in Mexico for his involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunition, and explosives,” the department added.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Friday that she hopes Chávez “will be deported and serve the sentence in Mexico.”

Episode 1087 – Way to Crash Your Movie Before It Comes Out

I got some huge news about a deportation of a famous Mexican this week. The shock with my family shook our Independence Day. Then I found out why.

Donald Trump is ending one of the dumbest policies at the airport.

And the Supreme Court continues to put a muzzle on these damn district court judges.

Monster News

According to the Daily Wire:

The Trump administration is moving to end the requirement that passengers remove their shoes when going through airport security, according to multiple reports.

The much-hated shoe removal mandate, which has been in place since 2006, is being gradually phased out in the coming weeks, according to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents who have told multiple news outlets. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the news on Tuesday morning.

The phase-out began at Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Fort Lauderdale International Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Portland International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, and Piedmont Triad International Airport in North Carolina, CBS News reported

Another Big Win

According to the Daily Wire:

The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way on Tuesday for President Donald Trump to resume his plans to cut the federal workforce and restructure agencies, a key promise he made on the campaign trail to hack away at the size of the federal government.

The justices lifted San Francisco-based U.S. District Judge Susan Illston’s May 22 order that had blocked large-scale federal layoffs called “reductions in force” affecting potentially hundreds of thousands of jobs, while litigation in the case proceeds.

Trump in February announced “a critical transformation of the federal bureaucracy” in an executive order directing agencies to prepare for a government overhaul aimed at significantly reducing the federal workforce and gutting offices and programs opposed by the administration.

Workforce reductions were planned at the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Health and Human Services, State, Treasury, Veterans Affairs, and more than a dozen other agencies.

Liberal Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the sole member of the nine-person court to publicly dissent from the decision. Jackson wrote that Illston’s “temporary, practical, harm-reducing preservation of the status quo was no match for this court’s demonstrated enthusiasm for greenlighting this president’s legally dubious actions in an emergency posture.”

This Will Kill DEI

According to the Daily Wire:

The trial is underway for a professor who sued the University of California, Los Angeles, over his suspension after he refused to grade black students more leniently in the wake of George Floyd’s highly publicized death.

Gordon Klein, an accounting professor at UCLA, is demanding $22 million in damages in a trial that began last week in Santa Monica.

Back in June 2020, just weeks after George Floyd’s death, Klein received an email from a group of his students asking for a “no-harm” final exam that could only help their grades and would involve shorter tests and extended deadlines for final assignments and projects.

The students asked for special accommodations due to “traumas, we have been placed in a position where we much (sic) choose between actively supporting our black classmates or focusing on finishing up our spring quarter,” as The Daily Wire reported at the time.

“We believe that remaining neutral in times of injustice brings power to the oppressor and therefore staying silent is not an option,” the students told Klein.

The students claimed their request was not “a joint effort to get finals canceled for non-black students,” but rather to “ask that you exercise compassion and leniency with black students in our major.”

Klein responded with several sarcastic emails that got him in trouble with the school.

“Thanks for your suggestion in your email below that I give black students special treatment, given the tragedy in Minnesota,” Klein wrote to the students.

“Do you know the names of the classmates that are black?” the professor asked. “How can I identify them since we’ve been having online classes only?”

Klein also asked about students who “may be of mixed parentage, such as half black-half Asian?”

“What do you suggest I do with respect to them? A full concession or just half?” he quipped.

Klein also wrote that “a white student from [Minneapolis] might be possibly even more devastated by this, especially because some might think that they’re racist even if they are not.”

The professor ended his email response to the complaining students with Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous quote about not judging people based on the color of their skin.

Students screenshotted Klein’s email and posted it to social media, where it sparked angry responses.

Klein was suspended and criticized by UCLA in June 2020 before being reinstated in September 2020, according to the Daily Bruin.

“Conduct that demonstrates a disregard for our core principles, including an abuse of power, is not acceptable,” wrote Anderson School Dean Antonio Bernardo in a message to the campus community. “I deeply regret the increased pain and anger that our community has experienced at this very difficult time. We must and will hold each other to higher standards.”

Dumbass of the Day

Superman was not an immigrant. He left Krypton after a natural disaster. He has no home planet or country. He is a refuge.

Also, the saying, “Truth, justice, and the American way” has been replaced by Hollywood (even in Gunn’s own movie).

  • “Truth, Justice, and a Better Tomorrow”: In 2021, DC Comics officially updated Superman’s motto to this phrase, signaling a move toward a more universal message.
  • “Truth, Justice, and the Human Way”: For the 2025 James Gunn-directed Superman film, merchandise and promotional materials have revealed yet another update, replacing “the American way” with “the human way.” This version emphasizes Superman’s role as a hero for all humanity, rather than just an American icon.

Episode 1086 – Here Is A Great Argument for Gun Control!

The Left doesn’t even wait for the victims of the Texas flood to be found before they go out and blame Trump and racism for the flood. Turns out both claims are asinine.

An argument for gun control comes from an unlikely source after a shooting in Philadelphia and the argument is about as coherent as all the other arguments.

And the violence is escalating from the hard Left.

Of Course It’s His Fault

The Department of Homeland Security put out its own thread, which stated:

The mainstream media is deliberately lying about the events leading up to the catastrophic flooding in Texas. The National Weather Service executed timely, precise forecasting and warnings, despite unprecedented rainfall overwhelming the region. Here is the timeline of NWS’s proactive response:

Morning, July 3rd: NWS Austin/San Antonio conducts forecast briefings for emergency management, flagging flash flood risks. Morning, July 3rd: National Water Center issues Flood Hazard Outlook, identifying flash flood potential for Kerrville and surrounding areas. 1:18 PM, July 3rd: NWS issues Flood Watch for Kerr County, effective through Friday morning. 6:10 PM, July 3rd: Weather Prediction Center issues first of three Mesoscale Precipitation Discussions, warning of excessive rainfall and flash flood potential. 6:22 PM, July 3rd: National Water Center warns of considerable flooding risks north and west of San Antonio, including Kerrville. 11:41 PM, July 3rd: First Flash Flood Warning issued for Bandera County.

1:14 AM, July 4th: Flash Flood Warning with “Considerable” tag issued for Bandera and Kerr Counties, triggering Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) and NOAA Weather Radio notifications. 4:03 AM, July 4th: Flash Flood Warning upgraded to Flash Flood Emergency for south-central Kerr County, including Hunt. 4:35 AM, July 4th: Kerr County Sheriff’s Office reports flooding at low water crossings, 201 minutes (over 3 hours) after the 1:14 AM warning. 5:00 AM, July 4th: National Water Center warns of widespread considerable and catastrophic flooding. 5:34 AM, July 4th: Flash Flood Emergency issued for the Guadalupe River, signaling a “large and deadly flood wave.”

The National Weather Service provided over 12 hours of advance notice via the Flood Watch and over 3 hours of lead time for Flash Flood Warnings, with escalated alerts as the storm intensified.

That wasn’t it. Dr. Christina Propst, a pediatrician, posted this:

This nut job supported mask mandates and pushed to have vaccines mandatory for a child to be seen by a doctor.

She was fired from her job at Blue Fish Pediatrics.

Everything is Racist

This Is What a Civil War Will Look Like

According to Fox News:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and other federal law enforcement officers conducting immigration enforcement have been targeted in at least two ambushes in Texas in recent days.

The Justice Department on Monday named 10 individuals charged with shooting a police officer in the neck and opening fire on other correctional officers outside the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, on the Fourth of July. The group, donning all black, allegedly first began shooting fireworks at the facility, which is being used by the Department of Homeland Security to hold people related to immigration violations or awaiting deportation.

The defendants are Cameron Arnold, also known as Autumn Hill; Savannah Batten; Nathan Baumann; Zachary Evetts; Joy Gibson; Bradford Morris, also known as Meagan Morris; Maricela Rueda; Seth Sikes; Elizabeth Soto; and Ines Soto. The complaint charges each of them with three counts of attempted murder of a federal officer and three counts of discharging a firearm during, in relation to and in furtherance of a violent crime.

Approximately 10 minutes after convening at the ICE facility, one or two individuals broke off from the main group and began to spray graffiti on vehicles and a guard structure in the parking lot, authorities said. Photos included in the criminal complaint, filed in the Northern District of Texas, show vehicles tagged with the messages “ICE pig” and “F— you pigs.” Correction officers dialed 911 and an Alvarado police officer responded to the scene.

Immediately after the officer got out of his vehicle, one defendant positioned in nearby woods allegedly shot the officer in the neck, according to the complaint. Another assailant, wearing a green mask and standing across the street, then allegedly fired 20 to 30 rounds at unarmed correctional officers who had stepped outside the facility.

“The shooting was captured by both CCTV and the APD officer’s body-worn camera,” the complaint says.

The FBI recovered AR-style rifles from the scene. The group fled from the detention center separately – some on foot, some in vehicles – and were later stopped by other law enforcement officers. The complaint notes that the defendants were “dressed in black, military-style clothing,” some were wearing body armor, some were armed, and some had two-way radios.

Prosecutors said a total of twelve sets of body armor were found during searches of vehicles associated with the defendants, on their persons, and in the area around the Prairieland Detention Center. Law enforcement also found spray paint, magazines containing ammunition and flyers stating, “FIGHT ICE TERROR WITH CLASS WAR!” and “FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS.” A flag was found that read, “RESIST FASCISM – FIGHT OLIGARCHY.”

Episode 1085 – Not All That Glitters is Gold!

A horrible flood strike Texas.

Donald Trump makes a big announcement concerning national parks.

And the Big Beautiful Bill is signed into law. Let’s talk about what is in the bill.

News

Here is some news:

  • As of now, 70 people are dead with about a dozen missing during a storm in Texas that overflowed the Guadelupe River in Kerr country.
    • The deluge was so swift, the flooding started 45 minutes after the rain started, giving little warning.
    • One of the bigger disasters is the flood hitting a Christian summer camp. 21 kids, so far, have been confirmed dead.
  • Two American contractors were injured in Gaza on Saturday after terrorists threw two grenades in their direction at the humanitarian aid distribution site where they were working.
    • The United States-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said that the two highly decorated American veterans employed at their site are receiving medical treatment and are in stable condition.
    • According to GHF, following the successful distribution of food aid to Gazans, two assailants threw Iranian-made grenades packed with ball bearings at the contractors before running into the crowd of civilians. No civilians or Gazan workers were injured in the attack.
  • Joey Chestnut stuffed himself with 70 ½ hot dogs in 10 minutes, marking the 41-year-old Indiana resident’s 17th “Mustard Belt” win in 20 tries – the most any competitor has won. Still, he fell short of his record of 76 hot dogs and buns from four years ago. He won his first Nathan’s competition in 2007, and an American has won the contest every year since.
  • President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that his administration would begin charging foreign tourists more to enter America’s national parks than U.S. residents.
    • The announcement at a rally in Iowa came as he signed two executive orders dealing with national parks, including one that directs Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum to “appropriately” raise prices of entrance fees and recreation passes for non-residents.
  • Elon Musk has announced the formation of a new political party called the America Party. This move comes after a public and significant fallout with President Donald Trump, particularly over disagreements regarding tax and spending legislation563. Musk declared the party’s creation on his social media platform X, positioning it as an alternative to the existing Republican and Democratic parties, which he criticized as a “one-party system” that fails to represent the people’s interests563.

Big Beautiful Bill Is Law

On July 4, Independence Day, Donald Trump signed the Big Beautiful Bill into law.

The Good

  • Makes permanent the Trump tax cuts from his first term.
  • Medicaid and SNAP cuts: The bill includes significant cuts to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which the Congressional Budget Office estimates could leave millions without health insurance.
  • Expanded health savings accounts: Families have greater ability to save for health expenses tax-free.
  • Puts work requirements on Medicaid recipients.
    • They only need to work, volunteer, or go to school.
    • Work requirements are 20 hours a week.
    • Anyone who has a disability or meets the age requirements will not have to worry about not qualifying.
    • There seems to be a lot of conflation with the other entitlements. More an that when we get to the Dumbasses of the Day.
  • It adds to the military.
  • Border security funding: Over $46.5 billion is allocated for border wall construction, $45 billion to expand immigrant detention capacity, and $30 billion for ICE resources1.
  • Asylum application fee: A new minimum $100 fee for asylum seekers is established, lower than the initially proposed $1,0001.
  • There will not be tax on overtime or interest payment for cars.
  • Increased standard deduction and child tax credit: The standard deduction rises to $31,500 for families, and the child tax credit is boosted to $2,200, benefiting over 40 million families.
  • Expanded education and child care credits: 529 education savings accounts are expanded, and credits for child care, paid leave, and adoption are enhanced.
  • Rollback of green energy credits: Many clean energy tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act are repealed or restricted, particularly those for electric vehicles, residential energy efficiency, and solar/wind projects56.
  • Support for traditional energy: New provisions support nuclear, hydropower, geothermal, and certain biofuels, while imposing restrictions on credits involving foreign entities of concern56.
  • Incentives for US manufacturing: The bill provides tax incentives for companies that manufacture in the US and hire American workers2.
  • Expansion of small business stock gain exclusion and other rural/small business incentives: Various provisions aim to boost rural economic growth and small businesses6.
  • Air traffic control modernization: $12.5 billion is allocated for overhauling the US air traffic control system4.
  • Credit union tax status preserved: The not-for-profit tax status of credit unions is maintained4.
  • $150–$157 billion in new defense spending: This is a one-time surge, bringing the total defense budget for the next fiscal year to nearly $1 trillion—a record high123456.
  • 13% increase in defense spending: The bill accelerates the timeline for reaching a $1 trillion annual defense budget, previously projected for 20264.

The Not So Great

  • No tax on tips.
  • New children’s savings accounts: The bill creates “Trump Accounts,” a new savings program for children, with potential initial deposits from the Treasury.
  • Increased SALT cap: The deduction cap for state and local taxes is raised from $10,000 to $40,000 for five years, after which it returns to $10,000.
  • Debt Ceiling Increase:
The bill raised the U.S. debt ceiling by $5 trillion, marking the largest single increase in U.S. history123. This move allows the federal government to continue borrowing to meet its existing obligations and fund the new spending and tax provisions included in the legislation.
  • The bill did not cut spending to 2019 levels.

The bill is projected to add $3.4 trillion to federal deficits over 10 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office, primarily due to the permanent tax cuts and increased spending1.

Episode 1084 – Snatching Defeat From the Jaws of Victory!

Alligator Alcatraz is almost up and running and will hold some of the most dangerous illegal aliens in the country until they get deported. I have a story about one.

Alligator Alcatraz is not only going to break illegal aliens hopes of a pleasant life in the United States, it has broken a bunch of low-IQ individuals on the Left.

And Republicans sure know how to lose a sure bet.

Grasping Defeat from the Jaws of Victory

According to the Daily Wire:

Speaker Mike Johnson has President Donald Trump’s signature bill at the finish line.

During a marathon overnight session that at times appeared doomed, Republicans voted 219-213 at about 3:30 a.m. to send the bill to a final vote.

The late hour was not due to procedure, but rather indecision on the Republican side of the aisle. After five Republicans voted against the rule to proceed, coupled with a handful of Republicans who were holding out, Johnson had to scramble to not only find votes, but also get Republicans to switch theirs.

Just before midnight, Johnson said he would hold the vote open for as long as it needed, and started to whip votes, with a helping hand from Trump.

We are waiting for the final vote, but leave it to Democrats to stall. Hakeem Jeffries has decided to use his right to use the “magic minute” that allows him to filibuster about the bill.

The “magic minute” is a right that the leaders have a house to make a speech as long as he wants about the bill. Basically, it’s a filibuster.

Hakeem Jeffries walked into the chambers at about 5 AM with three large binders and he started. He has been talking ever since and is not expected to stop until some time this afternoon.

He Totally Belongs in Our Country

According to the Daily Wire:

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Tuesday shared a disturbing tale of an illegal immigrant, which she said underscored the importance of the Trump administration’s deportation efforts.

“The other day I was talking to some marshals who had been partnering with ICE,” Noem said. “They said they had detained a cannibal and put him on a plane to take him home and while they had him in his seat he started to eat himself, and they had to get him off and get him medical attention.”

“You know, what bothered me the most is that this U.S. Marshal just said it like it was normal,” Noem said in an interview with FOX News. “He said he was literally eating his own arms. That is what he did. He called himself a cannibal and ate other people and ate himself that day.”

“These are the kind of deranged individuals that are on our streets in America that we’re trying to target,” Noem added.” We’re trying to get them out of our country because they are so deranged they don’t belong here.”

The secretary then slammed news outlets that “lie every single day about what these operations are.”

“We are going after murderers and rapists and traffickers and drug dealers and getting them off the streets, and getting them out of this country because Joe Biden let the worst of the worst come in here.”

“They shouldn’t be walking the streets with our children. And they shouldn’t be living in communities with our families who just want to raise their children to grow up and get a job and to live the American dream,” she added.

The press briefing comes after a visit to Florida’s latest ICE detention facility, dubbed Alligator Alcatraz, alongside President Donald Trump.

No One Is Going to Watch

According to the Daily Wire:

On July 4th, the movie “Sinners” will become the first show to be interpreted into “Black American Sign Language (BASL),” per a press release from Warner Bros.

The entertainment company described it as “a major step forward in accessibility, representation, and visibility in streaming.”

“BASL is a distinct dialect of American Sign Language (ASL) with its own dynamic history and unique grammar, signing space, rhythm, facial expressions, and cultural nuances,” the release stated. “For the first time, the Black Deaf community will have streaming access to a more immersive experience in their language. Max subscribers, who sign in ASL but are unfamiliar with this dialect, will also be able to follow along with this interpretation.”

The press release noted that the interpretation will be done by Nakia Smith, “an influential voice in the Black Deaf community, who delivers a powerful interpretation with cultural depth and linguistic richness that aligns with the film’s themes and historical timeline.”

“Accessibility within streaming is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our goal at Max is to make these great stories accessible to all audiences in a way that is authentic to the content and the communities we serve,” Naomi Waibel, Senior VP of Global Product Management at Warner Bros. Discovery, said in a statement. “Sinners with Black American Sign Language is an example of how culturally nuanced access can enrich the viewing experience for our audiences.”

According to the movie’s summary, “Sinners” is about twin brothers who “return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.” It was released in theaters in April 2025.

They Hate You

The sun monster strikes again. According to the Daily Wire:

In 2023, the Teamsters signed a massive deal with UPS to guarantee a fleet of air-conditioned trucks.

“Our members just ratified the most lucrative agreement the Teamsters have ever negotiated at UPS. This contract will improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers,” Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien boasted at the time. “Teamsters have set a new standard and raised the bar for pay, benefits, and working conditions in the package delivery industry.”

He may have started celebrating too early.

As temperatures climbed last month, the Teamsters sent a furious letter to UPS demanding information on the whereabouts of the air-conditioned vehicles.

“How does UPS expect to actually deliver 20,000 or more air-conditioned package cars and vans over the next two years, when the delivery giant is already so far behind?” O’Brien demanded. “The summer heat beating down on our members is no joke. UPS is playing a dangerous game with the lives of thousands of essential American workers.”

UPS, meanwhile, seems to have different concerns.

For years, the company has been focused on replacing its fleet with so-called green vehicles. A few years ago, UPS pledged to make 40% of its vehicles use “alternative fuel” by 2025. So far, UPS says it uses more than 1,000 electric or hybrid vehicles.

Drivers blasting their air conditioning in the sweltering Texas heat probably doesn’t help the shipping giant’s goal of reaching “carbon neutrality by 2050.”

Is This Real?

According to the New York Post:

Nearly no one enjoys getting stopped by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) authorities at the airport.

But when checkpoint alarm bells begin blaring around a traveler’s groin, as happened to one befuddled passenger not long ago, there is a chance it’s due to extreme wetness in their pants, insiders say.

“I flew for the first time in 15 years this week, and both airports flagged my crotch at the arms up scanner,” a confused tripper confessed on Reddit recently.

The wet wanderluster described herself as a “midsized adult woman (5-foot-8, 169 lbs.)” wearing bike shorts and normal underwear. The skyway siren assured social media readers that her private parts are neither pierced nor outfitted with medical devices. She claimed her pockets were totally empty.

“I don’t care about the pat down, they were polite and professional and it doesn’t bother me,” said the baffled belle, “but I’m wondering what did it.”

Internet know-it-alls say it’s crotch sweat — and they’re likely right.

“Sweat, feminine products (liners, pads, depends) could be anything but those seem to be culprits,” a Reddit commenter wrote.

“Last time I flew out of my home airport of Tampa, I got searched too,” admitted an equally clammy jet-setter. “The [security] guard said something unnerving like ‘swamp rot’ or ‘swamp crotch’ or something similarly embarrassing.”

It’s a bodily function that can wrongfully trigger red flags, per TSA expert Shawna Malvini Redden.

“Perspiration is probably the weirdest thing that can set off the scanners,” Malvini Redden recently explained to Reader’s Digest. “It has to do with millimeter wave technology and how the waves bounce off water.”

The insider added that because the machines often generate false alarms due to sweat, some countries, including France and Germany, have banned the scanners altogether.

But massive moisture isn’t the only reason the TSA technology might mistake one’s undercarriage for a dangerous weapon.

“On-person screening technology effectively screens diverse populations of travelers every day,” TSA representatives previously told The Post, adding that their devices and screening algorithms are trained to recognize body composition.

Any unexpected abnormalities, including excess sweat, could potentially prompt an alert, they said.

Episode 1083 – An Example of an Effort to Save Face

The legal community is just flooding us with news today. Though I haven’t mentioned all these cases before, it is worth talking about. There are some lessons we can learn.

Not Guilty!

P-Diddy jurors, after one day of deliberations, find him not guilty of of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by force.

He was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The counts he was charged with come with 10 years for each count. Chances are he’s not going to get that. He will probably get a couple of years with time served.

Guilty!

According to the New York Post:

Paramount Global and CBS agreed on Tuesday to pay President Trump a sum that could reach north of $30 million to settle the president’s election interference lawsuit against the network.

Trump will receive $16 million up front. This will cover legal fees, costs of the case, and contributions to his future presidential library or charitable causes, to be determined at Trump’s discretion.

There is an anticipation that there will be another allocation in the mid-eight figures set aside for advertisements, public service announcements, or other similar transmissions, in support of conservative causes by the network in the future, Fox News Digital has learned.

With these considerations, CBS would pay well in excess of the $15 million that ABC paid Trump to settle a defamation lawsuit last year. Current Paramount management disputes the additional allocation.

https://nypost.com/2025/07/02/media/paramount-cbs-agree-to-pay-trump-30-million-in-harris-60-minutes-election-interference-lawsuit?utm_source=nypost&utm_campaign=android_nyp&utm_medium=social

Extremely Guilty

Bryan Kohberger is the former doctoral student in criminology who was charged with the murders of four University of Idaho students—Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves—in November 2022. The killings took place at an off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho, and drew national attention due to their brutality and the initial mystery surrounding the case1378.

Current Status (as of July 2, 2025):

  • Kohberger is expected to plead guilty to all counts at a court hearing today, as part of a plea deal that will spare him the death penalty12346.
  • The plea agreement requires him to accept four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murders, and an additional maximum 10-year sentence for burglary12346.
  • He will waive all rights to appeal as part of the deal12346.
  • The plea was initiated by Kohberger’s defense team, and prosecutors agreed after consulting with the victims’ families136.
  • Sentencing is expected to take place later in July, provided Kohberger enters the guilty plea as anticipated36.

Background and Arrest:

  • Kohberger was a Ph.D. student at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, just a short drive from Moscow, Idaho78.
  • He was arrested at his parents’ home in Pennsylvania on December 30, 2022, about six weeks after the murders1378.
  • DNA evidence linking Kohberger to a knife sheath found at the crime scene played a central role in his identification and arrest1378.
  • Kohberger was indicted on four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary78.

The Goncalves family confirmed in a statement to Reuters from their attorney that they learned of the plea deal in a letter from prosecutors and said prosecutors mishandled the deal.

“After more than two years, this is how it concludes with a secretive deal and a hurried effort to close the case without any input from the victims’ families on the plea’s details. Adding insult to injury, they’re rushing the plea, giving families just one day to coordinate and appear at the courthouse for a plea on July 2.”

Steve Goncalves, father of one of the victims, said: “This is anything but justice. This is the opposite of our will. There was no majority believing that this was acceptable.

“This is not justice. We had an outsider come to our community, kill our kids in their sleep while they’re getting a college education, doing everything that they should do, and we don’t have the courage to hold him accountable. No plea deal. Let’s go for this guy. One hundred percent, let’s do it.”

About Time

According to the Daily Wire:

The White House has struck a deal with the University of Pennsylvania that requires the school to strip trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas of the titles he won on the women’s team, The Daily Wire has learned.

The University of Pennsylvania will restore all titles to female athletes that were “misappropriated” by male athletes, according to a landmark agreement between the Trump administration and the University of Pennsylvania, a White House official shared with The Daily Wire.

Thomas competed as a female swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, infamously tying with University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines in 2022 at the NCAAs and taking her trophy — prompting Gaines to take a stand against men in women’s sports.

Trying to Fix Things

According to the Daily Wire:

California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a pair of bills Monday night rolling back parts of a landmark environmental law to remove barriers to tackling the state’s housing shortage.

The California legislature with bipartisan support voted last week to exempt certain projects, such as some high-density housing plans, from onerous California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) reviews and approvals. Newsom pushed the legislation forward, threatening to hold up the state’s budget unless the CEQA rollbacks hit his desk, as well.

“Today’s bill is a game changer, which will be felt for generations to come,” Newsom said in a statement referring to the CEQA overhaul.

Newsom held a press conference Monday evening touting the bills as necessary to rescue the reputation of California’s government and prove that the state is capable of solving pressing problems.

“If we can’t address this issue, we’re going to lose trust, and that’s just the truth,” said Newsom, according to The New York Times. “And so this is so much bigger in many ways than the issue itself. It is about the reputation of not just Sacramento and the legislative leadership and executive leadership, but the reputation of the state of California.”

Newsom has promised to address California’s burgeoning housing shortage since his first campaign for governor in 2018. Now well into his second term and close to being term-limited out of office, Newsom pushed the CEQA reforms forward as he is widely seen as a potential Democratic contender for president in 2028.

CEQA was originally signed into law in 1970 by then-Governor Ronald Reagan. The law at the time it was enacted was thought to only apply to government projects, but a court decision two years later broadened the law’s application to a host of development projects.

Since then, critics have said that the law’s strict review and approval process, believed to be the toughest in the United States, has been abused by environmental activists, labor unions, California residents, and others to extract concessions in exchange for politically sensitive projects or to override construction proposals unpopular with a small group.

Environmental groups rallied against the CEQA reforms. Dozens of groups partnered together to urge lawmakers to reject the bills.

“This bill is the worst anti-environmental bill in California in recent memory,” the groups wrote in a joint letter. “It represents an unprecedented rollback to California’s fundamental environmental and community protections at a time in which the people of California grapple with unprecedented federal attacks to their lives and livelihoods.”

Episode 1082 – Should Have Been Done a Long Time Ago!

The Trump administration finally does what should have been done 10 years ago.

After getting their ass kicked, Iran is trying to control their restless population in the way most tyrants do

And it’s Independence Day this week! That means we are being told we have to protest…for some reason.

It’s About Time

According to the Daily Wire:

The Trump administration has sued the city of Los Angeles over its “sanctuary” status.

The Justice Department filed a lawsuit on Monday against L.A., arguing that its “sanctuary city” policies violate the U.S. Constitution. Local law enforcement in L.A. is prohibited from directly enforcing federal immigration law or collaborating with ICE on immigration enforcement actions. The DOJ argues that L.A. is discriminating against the federal government, specifically treating immigration officers differently than other law enforcement officials. The suit says L.A.’s sanctuary policies are “invalid” and should be blocked.

In a statement, Attorney General Pam Bondi blamed these sanctuary policies for the recent anti-ICE riots, which she said were the “driving cause of the violence, chaos, and attacks on law enforcement that Americans recently witnessed in Los Angeles.” She added that jurisdictions like L.A. “that flout federal law by prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens are undermining law enforcement at every level.” The DOJ has also targeted other sanctuary city policies, including in New York.

Revolution is Coming

According to the Daily Wire:

Iran’s despotic theocratic government is trumpeting that they have arrested over 700 people and executed six accused of belonging to an “Israeli spy network” since Israel’s June 13 attack.

“Reports show men in prison jumpsuits confessing that they were recruited as Israeli spies, along with weapons they were supposedly planning to use. Analysts say the confessions are probably coerced, and an analysis of the images by the FRANCE 24 Observers team found no evidence of any Israeli-made weapons among the supposed seizures,” France 24 reported, adding that Iranian state media revealed at least six men accused of spying for Israel have been executed since the Israeli attack on June 13: Edris Ali, Azad Shojaei, Rasoul Ahmad Mohammad, Madjid Mossayebi, Esmaeil Fekri, and Mohammad Amin Shayesteh.

“In two instances where state media have presented images of these confiscated weapons, the photographs appear to be either fake or staged,” France 24 noted.

“So far, we have seen reports of the arrest of hundreds of people over alleged accusations of espionage, of cooperation with Israel,” Hussein Baoumi, the deputy regional director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty International, told CNN on Thursday. “We have also seen the execution of at least six men since the 16th of June on similar accusations. To be absolutely clear, these are people that were — had trials that would run into about 10 minutes in front of revolutionary courts that lack any resemblance of fair trials and where the use of forced confessions is quite worried (sic).”

“What we are seeing really is a continuing of what the Iranian government and authorities have been doing for months, but also for decades and years,” he continued. “I mean, what we have been seeing is that this is a government that has been using arrests and executions to crack down on any sort of opposition. We have seen how the government have used arrests and executions against protesters in recent years. … This needs to be put in its own context, right, which is that this is a government that has lived under massive impunity for decades. Iranian officials feel empowered to do so because they do not expect any sort of retribution or any sort of being held accountable for their crimes.”

On Thursday, the Iranian exiled women’s organization Association Femme Azadi reported, “Reports confirm the arrest of rabbis and religious leaders in Tehran and Shiraz, accused, without evidence, of ties to Israel.”

Who’d of Thunk It?

According to the Post Millennial:

A home in Los Angeles was an Iranian human smuggling hub, according to Customs and Border Patrol after two individuals were arrested Friday afternoon in a Los Angeles County neighborhood. The home had previously been the site of the arrest of seven Iranian nationals earlier this week, some of whom were reportedly flagged on the FBI’s Terrorist Watchlist.

Federal agents with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) were seen executing a warrant at a residence in North Hills around 3 pm on Friday, marking the second law enforcement action at the property this week. CBP said that the arrests were in connection to a human smuggling hub in LA, per Foc LA.

“Earlier this week, seven Iranian nationals were arrested at the same address—including individuals on the FBI Terror Watchlist and associates of an Iranian human trafficking network,” CBP posted to X.

“The location has been repeatedly used to harbor illegal entrants linked to terrorism,” CBP stated in a post on X. “Under @POTUS, CBP is taking aggressive action to shut down smuggling networks and remove national security threats before they can do harm.”

CBP Assistant Commissioner Hilton Beckham elaborated on the situation in a statement, saying, “Intelligence indicates the smuggling network has trafficked individuals from adversarial regimes, including Iran — posing direct risks to U.S. national security.”

According to a report by KCAL News, residents in the neighborhood explained that someone new moved into the home about six months ago. They added that behavior around the home was suspicious.

“There was a bunch of young people and they would hang out at night, pacing on the phone, sitting on the curb,” said neighbor Claudio Bonoli. “Talking to my neighbors, they say they were kind of intimidated by them.”

“It’s only two houses from my house,” he added. “This has been a really great, quiet neighborhood for a long time. So, it’s totally surprising.”

Farewell!

According to the Daily Wire:

The State Department is looking to revoke the visa for Bobby Vylan, a British rap duo whose performance at a festival over the weekend went viral for his virulent anti-Israel lyrics that included a call for death to all Israeli soldiers.

A senior State Department official told The Daily Wire that it is “already looking at revocation” of their visas ahead of a roughly twenty-city tour through the United States, with performances planned in several major cities, including Washington, D.C.

“As a reminder, under the Trump Administration, the U.S. government will not issue visas to any foreigner who supports terrorists,” the senior official said.

While performing at England’s annual Glastonbury Music Festival — which was live streamed on the BBC — Vylan incited his crowd of thousands to chant, “Death, death to the IDF.”

Say What?!

According to the Post Millennial:

The US Department of Justice announced Monday that it has filed a legal action against the State of Washington, challenging a new law that the department says violates constitutional protections for religious freedom.

At the center of the dispute is Senate Bill 5375, signed into law by Democratic Governor Bob Ferguson. The law eliminates the clergy-penitent privilege in cases involving suspected child abuse or neglect, effectively requiring clergy members, including Catholic priests, to report confessions related to such offenses to authorities. For Catholic priests, who are bound by the sacred seal of Confession, complying with the law would result in immediate excommunication from the Church.

According to the Justice Department, the law infringes upon the First Amendment’s Free Exercise Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment by targeting Catholic religious practices and creating a double standard for religious and secular confidentiality.

“Laws that explicitly target religious practices such as the Sacrament of Confession in the Catholic Church have no place in our society,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. “Senate Bill 5375 unconstitutionally forces Catholic priests in Washington to choose between their obligations to the Catholic Church and their penitents or face criminal consequences, while treating the priest-penitent privilege differently than other well-settled privileges.”

The legal action comes as the Department moves to intervene in Etienne v. Ferguson, a case currently before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. In May, the DOJ also opened a formal civil rights investigation into the law, citing serious concerns about religious liberty.

In an interview last month with The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Dhillon elaborated on the department’s concerns. “This looked to me like a First Amendment violation on its face,” she said. “If priests in Washington follow this law, they could be excommunicated for breaking the sacred seal of confession.”

Dhillon, who has a long history of litigating religious freedom cases, said the law appears to ignore established legal protections for religious practice. “The law recognizes certain privileges, like attorney-client and medical confidentiality, but it does not honor the religious confessional, despite it being equally essential in the eyes of many faiths,” she noted.

Referencing the Supreme Court’s ruling in Tandon v. Newsom, Dhillon explained that any law burdening religious practice must withstand strict scrutiny—the highest level of judicial review. “The standard for infringing on religious liberty is incredibly high. Congress has even gone beyond the First Amendment with statutes like RLUIPA and the FACE Act to protect houses of worship.”

While acknowledging the state’s interest in protecting children, Dhillon warned that such goals must be balanced with constitutional rights. “This law puts clergy in an impossible position—comply with the state and be excommunicated, or honor their faith and face legal consequences.”

Critics have also pointed to inconsistencies in how the law treats mandated reporting across professions. During the KVI interview, Hoffman asked Dhillon about proposed legislation that would allow teachers to delay reporting suspected abuse by up to 48 hours. “It’s not even rationally consistent,” she said. “That kind of uneven treatment of religious versus secular institutions is constitutionally indefensible.”

Dhillon emphasized that the DOJ’s action is not politically motivated. “We don’t care which party is involved or which faith is affected,” she said. “This isn’t political—it’s about upholding the Constitution.”

As debate over the law continues, Dhillon urged caution against expanding government authority at the expense of foundational freedoms. “Where does it stop? Can we force everyone to report everything? That becomes compelled speech, which is unconstitutional. This country was built on protecting religious expression, not dismantling it.”

The DOJ has committed to investigating whether the law was intended to discriminate or if its effect is incidental. “Either way, it raises serious constitutional concerns,” Dhillon said.

WTF?!

According to the New York Post:

Disneyland Paris workers were horrified to find a large wedding they were hosting was between a man and a 9-year-old girl — with the groom and child bride’s mom arrested in what is now thought to have been a sick, $150,000 social media stunt.

The French amusement park had been hired early Saturday for the ceremony in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle, with no warning that the bride was just a child, Le Parisien reported.

Some 300 guests and a string quartet arrived around 5 a.m., before the park was open for regular tourists — with horrified employees only then seeing how young the bride was, BFMTV reported.

The “scared and confused” little girl was wearing a wedding dress and 5-inch heels “taped to her feet,” Le Parisien reported.

Staff called police, who arrested four of those involved — including the would-be groom, a 22-year-old British national, BFMTV said.

They also arrested the 41-year-old mother of the 9-year-old girl, both of whom had arrived in Paris from Ukraine two days before the sick ceremony, according to the report.

Police also arrested two Latvian nationals, a 24-year-old woman recruited to play the role of the bride’s sister and a 55-year-old recruited to act as her father, BFMTV reported.

French prosecutors are looking at whether the wedding was a sick stunt for social media — one that cost at least $150,000.

An ad was published online days earlier asking for extras, including 200 adults and 100 children between ages 5 and 15 to take part in a high-end wedding rehearsal, according to BFMTV.

Episode 1081- The Wins Just Keep Coming!

A horrible tragedy takes place in Idaho. I am going to guess that we are never going to hear why it happened from the press.

The Big Beautiful bill passes through the Senate.

And Trump just keeps winning.

News

Here is some news:

  • The GOP-led Senate narrowly advanced on Saturday night the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” championed by President Donald Trump.
    • By a 51-49 vote, the upper chamber passed a motion to proceed, ending an hours-long standoff on the legislation that features many of Trump’s spending and tax priorities.
    • While Senate Republicans are trying to meet Trump’s July 4 deadline to get the bill to his desk, Democrats are employing tactics that will slow down the process.
    • After the procedural vote concluded on Saturday night, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) immediately asked for a reading of the legislation, which is more than 900 pages long and will likely take over 10 hours to get through.
    • “Remember: we still have to read the bill on the floor, hold up to 20 hrs of debate, and ‘vote-a-rama’ where we’ll wear the libs down on amendment votes. Then, House passage. Busy weekend,” Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) said.
  • Israel Defense Forces announced on Saturday that Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa — one of the Hamas terrorists who helped to plan the October 7 massacre and train those who carried it out — had been “eliminated.”
  • GE Appliances announced this week that it’s moving even more of its production from China to Kentucky, and investing nearly half-a-billion dollars.
  • Leaders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo joined President Donald Trump at the White House to celebrate the United States-brokered peace agreement on Friday.
    • Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe and Congo Foreign Minister Therese Kayikwamba Wagner, who were present in the Oval Office during the meeting, signed the agreement earlier on Friday with Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the State Department.
    • The agreement requires Rwandan troops to withdraw from eastern Congo and launch a joint security mechanism within 30 days and a regional economic integration framework within 90 days.
    • The agreement between the two neighbors will also work to attract investment to the Congo’s mineral-rich provinces of North and South Kivu, which have tantalum, gold, cobalt, copper, and lithium. According to Trump, the United States will get “a lot of the mineral rights” for the resource-rich area of the Congo.
    • The conflict kicked off when Rwanda sent 7,000 soldiers over its border to Congo in support of the M23 rebels, who seized two large cities in eastern Congo. The conflict is seen as the latest cycle of tension in a decades-old conflict with roots in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, according to Reuters.
  • The Supreme Court upheld his executive order on birthright citizenship, ruling that lower courts do not have the authority to unilaterally block Trump’s agenda.
  • Not only that — the court also ruled Friday that schools violate religious liberty when they bar parents from opting their children out of classroom instruction involving LGBT-themed books, a major win for religious conservatives and for the Trump White House, which has championed parents and their right to decide what their children are taught.
  • In a third ruling, the Supreme Court supported a law that would require age verification to access pornography.

Combine all this with the Iranian nuclear strike, getting NATO country to raise their budgets by 5%, and the lower courts ruling that Trump can deport illegal aliens to any country and it’s been a huge month. Even CNN is admitting that Trump is winning.

Episode 1080 – We Just Keep Winning!

The anti-abortion cause gets another big win from the Supreme Court.

President gets a big win at the NATO summit in Europe.

And Marco Rubio educated Democrats on the Constitution.

He Just Keeps Winning

This is from Perplexity:

NATO countries have agreed to raise their collective defense spending target to 5% of their gross domestic product (GDP) by 2035, marking a significant increase from the previous 2% goal set in 2014123. This new target is set against a backdrop of heightened security concerns, particularly regarding Russia and ongoing conflicts in Europe.

The 5% target is divided into two main components:

  • 3.5% of GDP is to be allocated to “core defense requirements,” such as personnel, weapons, and traditional military expenditures—what was previously covered by the 2% target345.
  • 1.5% of GDP is earmarked for broader defense and security-related investments, including infrastructure (roads, bridges, ports), cybersecurity, energy pipeline protection, civil preparedness, resilience, innovation, and bolstering the defense industrial base345.

Big Win

According to the Post Millennial:

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 on Thursday that states are allowed to cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood. The ruling came in response to a case out of South Carolina.

The case centered around whether patients on Medicaid, a government health insurance program for low-income patients, can sue in order to choose their own qualified healthcare provider. South Carolina was sued under Section 1983 after the state blocked Medicaid funds from going to Planned Parenthood in 2018, citing law prohibiting public funds for abortions.

Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the opinion for the court, “Section 1983 permits private plaintiffs to sue for violations of federal spending-power statutes only in ‘atypical’ situations … where the provision in question ‘clear[ly]’ and ‘unambiguous[ly]’ confers an individual ‘right.’” He wrote that the law in question “is not such a statute.”

“This case concerns one of the conditions state plans must meet. Located in §1396a(a)(23)(A), Medicaid’s any-qualified-provider provision, as it is sometimes called, requires States to ensure that ‘any individual eligible for medical assistance … may obtain’ it ‘from any [provider] qualified to perform the service … who undertakes to provide’ it. The provision does not define the term ‘qualified,’ perhaps because States have traditionally exercised primary responsibility over “matters of health and safety,” including the regulation of the practice of medicine,” Gorsuch wrote.

In response to the 2018 announcement that South Carolina would not allow Planned Parenthood to participate in the state’s Medicaid program, “Planned Parenthood and one of its patients, Julie Edwards, sued the director of the State’s Department of Health and Human Services. They argued that South Carolina’s exclusion of Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid program violated the any-qualified-provider provision.”

Speaking Truth

LOL!

According to the New York Post:

Vice President JD Vance was suspended from the left-leaning social media platform Bluesky on Wednesday, just minutes after joining and sharing his first post.

“Hello Bluesky, I’ve been told this app has become the place to go for common sense political discussion and analysis,” Vance wrote in his first post on the X competitor. “So I’m thrilled to be here to engage with all of you.”

The vice president went on to weigh in on the Supreme Court’s ruling that upheld Tennessee’s restrictions on transgender medical treatments for minors.

“To that end, I found Justice [Clarence] Thomas’s concurrence on medical care for transgender youth quite illuminating,” Vance wrote, including a screenshot of the conservative justice’s statement agreeing with the 6-3 ruling.

“He argues that many of our so-called ‘experts’ have used bad arguments and substandard science to push experimental therapies on our youth,” the vice president continued. “I might add that many of those scientists are receiving substantial resources from big pharma to push these medicines on kids.”

“What do you think?”

Within 12 minutes of the post, and Vance announcing on X that he had joined the platform, his Bluesky account was suspended, according to Axios journalist Marc Caputo.

“Not found. Account has been suspended,” read a message on Vance’s Bluesky page.

The ban was brief, as the vice president’s account was reinstated just minutes later.

It does not appear that the vice president’s post ran afoul of any of Bluesky’s community guidelines.
