Joe Biden made a speech yesterday praising law enforcement and Democrats effort at lowering crime.
- Biden bragged that his administration “made historic investments in proven strategies to interrupt and prevent crime and violence in the first place. These programs use trusted messengers, including people — people who are in the neighborhood, people who have — have been incarcerated and are released now, people who have been through it, people who know what they’re talking about.”
- He claimed that his administration had a “track record of reducing violent crime, as a consequence of that, by 30 to 60 percent where those programs exist.”
- “My plan goes after the scourge of gun violence in America,” he declared. “I’ve taken more executive actions to stop the flow of illegal guns than any other administration in history. And we beat the NRA when I signed the most significant gun safety law in nearly 30 years.”
- “And we’re going to finish the job. We’re going to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines next time around because it has to be done. I formed the — the first-ever White House Gun Violence — White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, and I thank Vice President Harris for overseeing this important effort.”
Too bad lawful gun purchases aren’t the problem when it comes to crime. Most crime doesn’t involve guns.
What was shocking was what was missing from the speech was the violence being done by illegal aliens.

California continues to be a shithole thanks to future Presidential hopeful Gavin Newsom:
- California Gov. Gavin Newsom backed the controversial proposal to remove four Klamath River hydroelectric dams along the California-Oregon border. Now, the same fish he swore to protect could be killed in the process.
- The dams had been breached on claims that it would help salmon migrate, but the Klamath River is now full of destroyed spawning salmon beds and pollution including decomposed algae, organic deposition, chemicals, and fine silt which is killing its ecosystem, according to a report from the California Globe.
- Additionally, dead endangered steelhead trout and other species have been rising to the surface of the Klamath River, and the river’s conditions have made it unlikely for any juvenile salmon to survive.
- California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law that exempts Panera Bread from a new $20-an-hour minimum wage hike for fast food chains after the billionaire owner of several of the chain’s locations donated to his campaign, according to a report.
- In September, Newsom, a Democrat, signed into law a measure that raises the minimum wage of food fast workers from $16 an hour to $20 an hour.
- But the Fast Food Accountability and Standards Recovery Act (FAST Act) includes an unusual carve-out that exempts “chains that bake bread and sell it as a standalone item,” according to Bloomberg News.
- Newsom reportedly sought the exemption, which benefits among others Greg Flynn, the billionaire CEO of Flynn Restaurant Group, the company that owns some two dozen Panera Bread locations in the state.
- Flynn, who attended the same high school as Newsom, has been involved in business dealings with the California governor, according to Bloomberg News.
- This is socialist-level corruption.

Google has apologized for what it describes as “inaccuracies in some historical image generation depictions” with its Gemini AI tool, saying its attempts at creating a “wide range” of results missed the mark. The statement follows criticism that it depicted specific white figures (like the US Founding Fathers) or groups like Nazi-era German soldiers as people of color, possibly as an overcorrection to long-standing racial bias problems in AI.
“We’re aware that Gemini is offering inaccuracies in some historical image generation depictions,” says the Google statement, posted this afternoon on X. “We’re working to improve these kinds of depictions immediately. Gemini’s AI image generation does generate a wide range of people. And that’s generally a good thing because people around the world use it. But it’s missing the mark here.”
Google began offering image generation through its Gemini (formerly Bard) AI platform earlier this month, matching the offerings of competitors like OpenAI. Over the past few days, however, social media posts have questioned whether it fails to produce historically accurate results in an attempt at racial and gender diversity.
As the Daily Dot chronicles, the controversy has been promoted largely — though not exclusively — by right-wing figures attacking a tech company that’s perceived as liberal. Earlier this week, a former Google employee posted on X that it’s “embarrassingly hard to get Google Gemini to acknowledge that white people exist,” showing a series of queries like “generate a picture of a Swedish woman” or “generate a picture of an American woman.” The results appeared to overwhelmingly or exclusively show AI-generated people of color. (Of course, all the places he listed do have women of color living in them, and none of the AI-generated women exist in any country.) The criticism was taken up by right-wing accounts that requested images of historical groups or figures like the Founding Fathers and purportedly got overwhelmingly non-white AI-generated people as results. Some of these accounts positioned Google’s results as part of a conspiracy to avoid depicting white people, and at least one used a coded antisemitic reference to place the blame.

Yep, They’re Doing This
According to the Daily Wire:
A recently-introduced bill in the state of Illinois would change the definition of “abused child” to include minors whose parents object to their children receiving puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, transgender surgeries, and abortions.
House Bill 4876, which was introduced in early February, also shields doctors from liability if they prescribe such treatments to minors who do not have parental consent — and empowers the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to step in and, if they deem it necessary, remove children from their biological parents based on the new definition of an “abused child.”
According to the legislation, which imbues minors with the same legal status as adults with regard to consenting to medical treatments and procedures related to abortion and gender transition, “consent to the performance of abortion services and gender-affirming services executed by a minor is not voidable because of such minority.”
Additionally, doctors who prescribe and perform such treatments and procedures are directed only to make a reasonable effort to ensure that the minor in question has an understanding of the risks and benefits — and are exempted from any liability, either civil or criminal, for their participation in the minor’s treatment.
Parents could find themselves in even more trouble if DCFS finds any such abuse allegations to be warranted: Illinois law already classifies child abuse — depending upon the nature and severity of the abuse — as a criminal offense ranging from a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison and a $2,500 fine to a felony that can carry up to $25,000 in fines and 15 years behind bars.
