California Proposition 50
Proposition 50, the Use of Legislative Congressional Redistricting Map Amendment, is on the special election ballot as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment.
A criminal gets off on assault on an ICE officer. Yes, assault with a sandwich is still assault.
Canada proves that the “slippery slope” theory isn’t a theory. And, of course, children are affected again.
And Leftists in New York are cheering Sharia Law and our deaths again after Zorhan Mamdani’s win this week. They are going to get what they deserve.
This Doesn’t Fix Anything
According to Fox News:
A former Department of Justice worker on trial for throwing a sandwich at a federal officer in Washington, D.C., earlier this year was found not guilty on Thursday.
Sean Dunn struck a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent (CBP) in the chest with a sandwich in August. He was facing charges of assaulting, resisting, opposing, impeding, intimidating and interfering with a federal officer.
Jurors deliberated for about seven hours before reaching a verdict. After it was read, Dunn hugged his lawyers in the courtroom.
“I believe that I was protecting the rights of immigrants. And let us not forget that the Great Seal of the United States says, E Pluribus Unum,” Dunn said after the verdict was read. “That means, from many, one, every life matters, no matter where you came from, no matter how you got here, no matter how you identify, you have the right to live a life that is free.”
During the trial, Dunn’s legal team insisted he threw the sandwich in protest of President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C., and it was not a violent attack.
Video of the incident quickly went viral, with Dunn being heralded as a hero by residents throughout the city who also opposed Trump’s move to occupy the nation’s capital with federal agents.
Dunn’s lawyers did not dispute that Dunn threw the sandwich at a CBP officer outside a nightclub, though they insisted it was done as an “exclamation point” to express his negative feelings about the National Guard’s deployment within the nation’s capital.
Advocates for assisted suicide in Canada, where it’s been legal for just under a decade, are pushing to expand the practice to children.
Canada’s euthanasia program, known as MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying), started back in 2016 for people whose natural death was “reasonably foreseeable” and wanted to end their lives. It’s already been expanded — both expanding the pool of adults who are eligible and how it can be administered, leading to an explosion of suicides in recent years.
Now, groups are calling for minors as young as 12 years old to be included in the government-funded suicide program. One advocacy group, called “Dying With Dignity Canada,” recommends minors as young as 12 be included in the program, and goes as far as to suggest 16 and 17-year-olds shouldn’t even need parental consent to be killed by a doctor if they fit broad criteria.
The group calls for assessing age eligibility based on “maturity” rather than “chronological age.”
Experts say the advocacy shows there was merit to the “slippery slope” argument made against the law from the outset.

Will New York City elect a Ugandan communist mayor?
Will Virginia turn blue?
Will New Jersey turn red?
Will California be allowed to break the law and cheat for next years midterms?
It’s election day! Let’s take a look at some of what going on today.
New York
The mayoral race features Zohran Mamdani (Democratic socialist), former Governor Andrew Cuomo (Independent), and Curtis Sliwa (Republican). The contest is notable for the leftward shift in city politics and younger voter engagement.
What’s going on:
The voting is over 50%. That’s not good.
No one should be surprised. New York City is very diverse, with 147 different languages spoken.
This gives Mamdani an advantage.
Diversity is not our strength.
New York City is already a third world country.
Curtis Sliwa should have have dropped out.
Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani leads the polls, ahead of Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa.
Current surveys suggest a margin of about 16-21 points separating Mamdani from Cuomo, with voter dissatisfaction toward the city’s direction being a major theme.
This election will determine if the government reopens.
If Cuomo wins, the government reopens.
If Mamdani wins (which he should), the Dems have gone further Left and the government will stay closed.
This election is the reason we need to control voting.
New Jersey
The gubernatorial race is between Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli. Both candidates are focusing on state-level issues with national implications for party strategy under President Trump’s current administration.
Some things:
This is the closest race.
Recent polls give Democrat Mikie Sherrill a slight lead over Republican Jack Ciattarelli, with several surveys showing a margin of 3 to 8 points.
The last time New Jersey had a Republican governor was from 2010 to 2018, when Chris Christie held office as the 55th governor of the state.
Virginia
Voters choose between Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears and Democrat Abigail Spanberger for governor. This race is closely watched as a possible indicator of suburban and independent voter sentiment during Trump’s second term. An Earle-Sears win would mark historic firsts for a Black woman governor in the U.S..
Some things:
Democrat Abigail Spanberger leads Republican Winsome Earle-Sears, with polling averages showing a 53-43% advantage for Spanberger.
The race is considered a key test of Trump’s influence and the Democratic Party’s ability to maintain momentum in a state Harris narrowly won in 2024.
Other statewide offices and the House of Delegates are also at stake, making this a high-interest contest.
California
Voters are deciding on Proposition 50, which would temporarily allow the state legislature, dominated by Democrats, to control congressional redistricting instead of the independent Citizens Redistricting Commission. This could lead to new district boundaries and impact House control for future elections.
Proposition 50, which would change congressional redistricting, is being closely watched, especially as recent polling shows strong opinions but no reliable margin released as of Election Day.
Polls actually says the “Yes” vote will win by double digits.
This may backfire for California. There is the possibility Dems will lose seats since the state is heavily gerrymandered. (51 of the 59 congressional delegates are Dems).
This is illegal according to the California state constitution. Expect to see lawsuits.
The Current Election Laws Are Dumb!
We need to change the election rules. Here’s how I would do it.
There should only be in person, day of elections.
All elections should be by paper ballot.
All elections should have a result by that night or early the next day.
Identification should be required.
Anyone who can’t read a ballot should not be voting.
The voting age should be 25 years old.
Citizens should be required to take a civics test to vote.
Voters should be paying taxes and not on any government benefits (housing, welfare, food stamps).
Candidates who are duel citizenship should not be allowed to run.
R.I.P. Dick
Dick Cheney has died at the age of 84.
Dick Cheney was an influential and controversial figure in American politics whose career spanned over four decades and included leadership roles under multiple presidents, most notably as vice president under George W. Bush from 2001 to 2009.
Early Life and Education
Born January 30, 1941, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Cheney grew up in both Lincoln and Casper, Wyoming. His family background included a father working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a mother who excelled in athletics. Cheney attended Yale University but did not complete his degree, eventually earning both a Bachelor and Master of Arts in political science from the University of Wyoming.
Political Career Beginnings
Cheney began his career as an intern for Congressman William Steiger and then joined the Nixon and Ford administrations, serving in rising White House roles—including Deputy Assistant and, eventually, Chief of Staff under President Gerald Ford from 1975 to 1977.
Congressional and Defense Leadership
Returning to Wyoming, Cheney was elected the state’s sole member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving from 1979 to 1989 in leadership roles such as House Minority Whip. President George H. W. Bush then appointed him Secretary of Defense (1989-1993), where Cheney directed U.S. military actions in Panama and during the Gulf War, earning the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his leadership.
Business Career and Vice Presidency
After government service, Cheney became CEO of Halliburton, a major oil services company, from 1995 to 2000. His corporate experience was interrupted when George W. Bush selected him as his running mate for the 2000 presidential election. As vice president, Cheney played a central—often secretive—role in shaping U.S. foreign and energy policy, especially after 9/11, and advocated forcefully for the Iraq War, policies that drew both praise and heavy criticism. He was also known for his support of wiretapping and enhanced interrogation techniques.
Later Years and Legacy
Cheney’s public popularity declined sharply by the end of his vice presidency, but he remained influential, critiquing the direction of the Republican Party and writing multiple books with his daughter, Liz Cheney. Plagued by heart disease, he survived several heart attacks and underwent a heart transplant in 2012.
On November 3, 2025, Dick Cheney died at age 84 from complications related to pneumonia and cardiovascular disease.

An explosion occurred early on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Harvard Medical School’s Goldenson Building in Boston. Authorities have declared the incident an “intentional” bombing, but no injuries were reported.
Key Details
The explosion happened around 2:48 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Goldenson Building.
A Harvard University police officer responded to a fire alarm and saw two people fleeing the scene. The officer tried to intercept them, but they got away.
Surveillance photos of the masked suspects were released to the public by authorities, who are seeking help in identifying them.
The Boston Fire Department’s arson unit concluded the explosion was set deliberately, and Boston police performed a sweep of the building, finding no additional devices.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Harvard University Police Department, the Boston Police Department, the Boston Fire Department, and the FBI.
Response and Campus Impact
No one was injured in the blast, and only a portion of the building was closed afterward as a precaution.
Officials have asked anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to contact law enforcement.
The investigation remains active, and the public has been advised to avoid the affected portion of the building unless absolutely necessary.
Context
As of now, details regarding the motive, the type of explosive used, and the extent of property damage have not been publicly released.
The university community has been urged to remain vigilant as law enforcement continues to investigate the case.
This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available from official sources.
The descriptions of the suspects should explain their motivations:

President Donald Trump unloaded on Democrats — and posted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) office number for anyone who wanted to complain — after federal judges weighed in on whether or not Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits could be allowed to lapse amid the ongoing government shutdown.
Two federal judges — U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Massachusetts and U.S. District Judge John McConnell in Rhode Island — on Friday ordered the Trump administration to continue paying out SNAP benefits despite the government shutdown, with McConnell further ordering the administration to tap into emergency funds in order to pay out the benefits “as soon as possible.” Talwani’s order gave the administration until November 3 to come up with a way to fund the program, but did not specify where those funds should come from.
Trump pushed back in a post shared on Truth Social, saying that he was instructing his attorneys to find the fastest way to fund the program and make sure that people could receive the assistance they needed — but he also pointed out the fact that Democrats were continuing to block Republican efforts to reopen the government, thus creating the current quandary.
Some things:
This is not good for Democrats. They want the pain. It’s their leverage.
The judges can’t do this. They don’t understand the economy and how the government is funded. They are overstepping their bounds again.
The Trump administration knows this. They are going back to the courts to ask them how to do it.

President Donald Trump issued a direct warning to Nigeria on Saturday, promising to withhold aid from the nation and threatening to take further action if the government did not step in and put a stop to the targeted killing of Christians there.
Trump made a statement via his Truth Social platform, calling on the Nigerian government to stop the Islamic terrorists who were killing Christians and warning that if they did not do so quickly, the United States could “go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing.’”
Trump issued an order on Friday stating that he was designating Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC), citing the ongoing and relentless persecution of Christians conducted by “radical Islamist” terrorists.
Another example of why we need to close the border rears its ugly head.
Trump and Xi Jinping sign a trade deal. I will still hold my breath on this one, but we can talk about it.
And Greta Thunberg has lost a fan.
These People Don’t Belong Here
According to the Daily Wire:
The FBI prevented a potentially “violent terrorist attack” planned for Halloween weekend and arrested multiple people in Michigan, FBI Director Kash Patel said on Friday morning.
Patel did not disclose where exactly the attack was planned to take place or who was allegedly behind it, but he added that more details would be released soon.
The FBI director thanked the men and women of the FBI and law enforcement everywhere who stand guard 24/7 to “defend the homeland.”
Fox News has reported:
The Detroit Public Affairs Office confirmed to Fox News that members of the FBI field office in Michigan were in Dearborn and Inkster this morning, but there is no clear indication if this was connected to the thwarted attack.
News of the thwarted plot comes 10 months after Shamsud‑Din Jabbar plowed a pickup truck into New Year’s revelers on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street. Fifteen people were killed and dozens were injured, making it one of the deadliest acts of terrorism in the U.S. since 9/11.
The latest China-United States trade deal, reached in late October 2025, is a one-year truce that temporarily eases tensions between the two nations by suspending certain tariffs and export controls, while introducing new agreements related to rare earth elements, agricultural purchases, and fentanyl controls.
Key Elements of the 2025 Trade Truce
The United States agreed to cut tariffs on fentanyl-related goods from 20% to 10%, lowering the overall tariff burden on Chinese imports to roughly 47% (from a previous average of 57%); a threatened 100% tariff has been suspended.
China agreed to suspend its new export controls on rare earth elements for one year, effective immediately, which had been a major source of contention in recent months.
Both sides will halt reciprocal port tariffs on each other’s ships for 12 months, aiming to facilitate smoother logistics.
China committed to ramping up purchases of American agricultural products, especially soybeans, and will boost imports of U.S. energy, with a possible transaction for Alaskan oil mentioned in talks.
The agreement features expanded cooperation to limit fentanyl and its precursors, with China pledging to undertake more efforts to curb illegal shipments to the U.S..
The U.S. will temporarily suspend certain export controls related to national security, specifically delaying an expansion of the ‘entity list,’ which restricts Chinese companies’ access to American technology.
The two sides reaffirm previous commitments, such as those made in the Madrid consultations, involving corporate cases and broader cooperation.
Unresolved Details and Longer-Term Issues
The rare earths agreement is explicitly a one-year temporary deal, with a plan to “regularly extend” as needed.
Trade truce remains thin on detailed implementation mechanisms and future steps; analysts caution that many issues—especially on technology, chip exports, and long-term tariff rates—are only temporarily resolved and could return.
The U.S. and China have agreed to further dialogue, with additional state visits planned for the first half of 2026.
Historical context and existing “Phase One” deal elements—regarding intellectual property, technology transfer, and agricultural purchases—remain operative but are not fully absorbed into this new truce.

Amazon slashed 14,000 jobs this week — not to cut costs or chase AI, but because they didn’t fit the culture.
That’s according to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, who shared his thoughts about the layoffs for the first time during the company’s quarterly earnings call on Thursday.
“The announcement that we made a few days ago was not really financially driven, and it’s not even really AI-driven, not right now at least,” Jassy said, referring to the job cuts announced on Tuesday. “It really — it’s culture.”
Jassy’s remark aligns with his broader mission to reshape Amazon’s culture this year, which Business Insider chronicled. He is trying to raise performance standards, enforce discipline, and eliminate bureaucracy.
Amazon’s senior vice president of people experience and technology, Beth Galetti, announced the cuts on Tuesday in a blog post, explaining that despite the company’s strong performance, it is reducing jobs as a result of AI rapidly changing the world.
🚨 NEW — Bill Gates Walks Back His 'Apocalyptic' Climate Change Narrative, Pushes More Vaccines
“We won't achieve our best goal, the 1.5 or even the 2 degrees … We have to frame it in terms of overall human welfare ….. If we stopped funding all vaccines and that saved you 0.1… pic.twitter.com/ndOaafW5jY
He accepts that the climate is going to change and there is nothing we can do about it.
His caring for “human welfare” is new. He is a Malthusianist. He believed that we needed to lower population to prevent climate change. He believed vaccines were a way to do that.
Who cares what Greta Thunberg has to say or what she thinks?
Greta doesn’t buy climate change anymore either.
I do want to point out that he talks about vaccines being for the betterment of humanity. He also thought it was a way to control the population.
Climate change has never been about human welfare or saving of the planet. It has been about control. The was made clear by the World Economic Forum in which Bill Gates is a member.
You Have To Be Kidding
According to the Post Millennial:
Virginia school officials and parents are condemning a series of student-made videos posted by Muslim Student Association (MSA) chapters at two Fairfax County high schools, in which members staged mock kidnappings as part of efforts to recruit for the club. Critics say the content is “traumatizing,” especially for Jewish students, which appear to mock the real-world kidnappings carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
The since-deleted clips, filmed at Langley High School in McLean and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, appear to show MSA members targeting students who refuse to join the club. In one video, students at Langley can be seen placing a bag over a classmate’s head, lifting him off the ground, and throwing him into the trunk of a car, which quickly drives away. The scene ends with the group laughing and asking bystanders if they want to join after seeing the consequences of saying no.
A similar video at Thomas Jefferson depicts students covering a classmate’s head with a keffiyeh while stuffing another into a plastic storage bin before dragging them away. It’s unclear whether the two clubs coordinated the content, though similar clips from unrelated students mocking club recruitment have surfaced online.
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) swiftly condemned the footage, stressing that the district did not approve the videos and warning that disciplinary consequences are possible.
A Minnesota man who was arrested by the FBI for a TikTok post placing a $45,000 bounty on the head of Attorney General Pam Bondi has been released without bail. Tyler Maxon Avalos, 30, of St. Paul, Minnesota, signed a personal recognizance bond on October 22, agreeing to appear for future court proceedings.
Judge Elizabeth Cowan Wright released Avalos on October 22 with GPS monitoring and ordered him to continue his mental health treatment. He was prohibited from using a computer or online services without the approval of his probation officer. The conditions of release also prohibit Avalos from using drugs, alcohol or possessing a firearm, Avalos must submit to a curfew as directed by the pretrial services officer, and submit to a search of his person, residence, and other areas under his control.
Avalos is accused of posting the bounty to TikTok, which featured a “sniper-scope red dot” on Bondi’s head and the words “WANTED: Pam Bondi. REWARD: 45,000. DEAD OR ALIVE (PREFERABLY DEAD).” A TikTok user in Detroit flagged the post.
Canada caves when some low-level politician puts out a BS ad against Trump and tariffs.
And the crap-hole Liberia is going to get worse soon.
Another Big Win
According to Perplexity:
The latest United States–Japan trade deal was signed in July 2025 and implements a wide-ranging framework focused on investment, market access, and tariff adjustments. Under the agreement, Japan committed to invest $550 billion in American industries, while the United States established a baseline 15% tariff rate on nearly all Japanese imports, replacing previous higher rates.
Main Features of the Trade Deal
Japanese Investment in the US
Japan pledged $550 billion in investments to the U.S. economy, with funding directed towards sectors such as manufacturing, semiconductors, energy, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, shipbuilding, and pharmaceuticals.
A Consultation Committee from both governments will identify key projects, with final approval given by the U.S. president.
Tariff Structure
A baseline 15% tariff is now applied to most Japanese imports, including automobiles and industrial goods, down from previous rates as high as 27.5%.
Tariff rates for certain sectors (like pharmaceuticals and natural resources) may be set to 0% if these products are unavailable domestically in the U.S..
Market Access and U.S. Exports
Japan agreed to rapidly increase imports of U.S. rice by 75% and make annual purchases of at least $8 billion of U.S. agricultural products, including corn, soybeans, fertilizer, bioethanol, and sustainable aviation fuel.
Longstanding restrictions on U.S. automobiles will be lifted, allowing American automakers to sell vehicles in Japan with U.S. safety certifications and standards.
Energy and Technology Cooperation
Japan will purchase major volumes of U.S. energy annually, including expanded imports of liquefied natural gas and commitments to invest in U.S. energy infrastructure projects.
Both countries signed a critical minerals agreement to secure strategic supply chains for rare earths and advanced nuclear power reactors.
Aerospace and Defense
Japan committed to buying 100 Boeing aircraft and increasing purchases of U.S.-manufactured defense equipment, as well as including semiconductors and technology as part of the defense trade.
Oversight and Enforcement
The deal includes U.S. government oversight over how and where Japanese investment occurs, with mechanisms for monitoring progress and ensuring compliance; tariff increases are possible if commitments are not met.
Both sides retain the right to adjust future sector-specific tariffs, but Japan is assured it will not face higher rates than any other country for certain products.
Political and Economic Impact
The agreement was signed by President Donald Trump and Japan’s new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, highlighting the close national security and economic partnership between the two countries.
At least 10 major Japanese firms, including SoftBank, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, and Honda, have shown immediate interest in launching U.S. projects under the terms of the deal.
This trade deal is regarded as one of the largest bilateral investment and trade agreements in recent U.S. history, aiming to boost American manufacturing, secure strategic resources, and deepen economic cooperation across multiple sectors.
If you watched the World Series, you might remember this ad:
According to the Daily Wire:
The liberal Canadian premier who launched a $75 million anti-tariff ad campaign in the United States featuring former President Ronald Reagan will yank the effort after pressure from President Donald Trump.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford said Friday afternoon that he would pause the ad campaign put out by his administration targeting Americans starting on Monday. That announcement came after Trump on Thursday said he had ended all trade talks with Canada over the ad, calling it an effort to influence American politics.
“Our intention was always to initiate a conversation about the kind of economy that Americans want to build and the impact of tariffs on workers and businesses,” Ford posted on X. “We’ve achieved our goal, having reached U.S. audiences at the highest levels. I’ve directed my team to keep putting our message in front of Americans over the weekend so that we can air our commercial during the first two World Series games.”
Ford said he would “pause [the] U.S. advertising campaign effective Monday so that trade talks can resume” after speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney
The Trump administration says it has brokered a deal with Liberia to accept alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia when he’s deported from the United States, according to a Friday court filing.
Abrego Garcia presented a list of 20 countries he feared deportation to, but the list didn’t include Liberia, Justice Department lawyers wrote in the filing. The Trump administration is looking to deport him as early as October 31.
Federal officials “have received diplomatic assurances regarding the treatment of third country individuals removed to Liberia from the United States and are making the final necessary arrangements for Petitioner’s removal.”
The Trump administration deported Abrego Garcia, who entered the U.S. illegally in 2011, to his native El Salvador in June, despite an “administrative error.” He was brought back to the U.S. on human smuggling charges.
An Ohio man who was convicted in the high-profile beating death of 17-year-old Ethan Liming has been released from prison, and was arrested and charged this past week in a different murder.
Deshawn Stafford, 24, has been charged with murdering Timothy Hutchinson, a 25-year-old Ohio man who was working as an engineer in his hometown. Hutchinson was reportedly struck unintentionally during an exchange of gunfire allegedly between Stafford and another individual.
In addition to the murder charge, Stafford is facing charges of felonious assault, discharging a firearm on a public roadway, having a weapon while under disability, drug trafficking, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
A GoFundMe for Hutchinson set up by the victim’s sister says Hutchinson graduated from the mechanical engineering program of University of Akron less than a year ago.
Donald Trump has some big wins in Asia so far this week. Let’s talk about it.
The deal involving TikTok might be done. I do have my doubts.
And Zorhan Mamdani lies about Islamophobia to gain sympathy but only makes an ass out of himself.
Already Successful
On Sunday, the United States signed several trade and critical minerals agreements with four Southeast Asian countries—Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam—during a summit in Kuala Lumpur. These deals aim to address trade imbalances, diversify supply chains, and reduce dependency on China, particularly regarding rare earth elements crucial for industries like semiconductors and electric vehicles.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed reciprocal trade deals with Malaysia and Cambodia, and a framework agreement with Thailand to reduce tariff and non-tariff barriers. The U.S. will maintain a 19% tariff on exports from these countries, though some goods will have zero tariffs.
Additionally, Vietnam, which had a trade surplus of $123 billion with the U.S. last year, agreed to buy more American products to help reduce this gap. The U.S. imposed a 20% tariff on Vietnamese exports, but a framework agreement was also established.
The deals focused heavily on critical minerals supply chains. Malaysia, in particular, committed to not banning or imposing quotas on critical mineral exports to the U.S. but did not specify whether this applied to raw or processed rare earths. Malaysia has banned the export of raw rare earths to retain resources for its own processing industry.
The agreements also cover digital trade, services, labor rights, environmental protections, and market access. Malaysia agreed to streamline regulations for U.S. products and secured tariff exemptions for goods like aerospace equipment, pharmaceuticals, and commodities such as palm oil and rubber. Thailand, which agreed to eliminate tariffs on 99% of goods, also relaxed foreign ownership rules in telecommunications and pledged significant purchases of U.S. goods, including $18.8 billion in aircraft and $5.4 billion in energy products.
President Donald Trump attended a peace ceremony for Cambodia and Thailand on Sunday after helping mediate a ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul joined Trump in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to formalize the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords brokered earlier this year. The agreement ended a five-day conflict this summer that resulted in dozens of deaths, according to NBC News.
“On behalf of the United States, I’m proud to help settle this conflict and forge a future for the region,” said Trump.
Under the terms of the ceasefire, Thailand will release 18 Cambodian soldiers detained during the conflict. Both countries will remove heavy weapons from along their shared border, and officials with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations will monitor the ceasefire.
“We saved maybe millions of lives on this one peace deal,” said Trump.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave an optimistic update on the fate of the TikTok deal on Sunday, saying that a framework of a deal has been reached.
A deal on the future of TikTok is set to be finalized, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says, telling @margbrennan a final deal was reached during U.S.-China talks last month in Madrid.
“I believe that as of today, all the details are ironed out, and that will be for the two… pic.twitter.com/psJNoiGYRN
According to the text of the executive order, the framework resolves the national security concerns by removing “the TikTok application and certain other applications from the ‘control’ of a foreign adversary and precludes any ‘operational relationship’ between a formerly affiliated entity controlled by a foreign adversary and the new joint venture.”
It also “prohibits the storage of sensitive United States user data in a manner that would place such data under the control of a foreign adversary and requires such data to be stored in a cloud environment run by an American company.”
U.S. and Chinese economic officials met at the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, negotiating a framework for a trade deal to be finalized by Presidents Trump and Xi Jinping later in the week. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the threat of 100% tariffs on Chinese imports, set to begin November 1, was eliminated. Additionally, China is expected to delay its rare earths export controls for a year as the policy is reassessed.
The trade deal is expected to extend a tariff truce beyond its November 10 expiration and revive U.S. soybean sales to China, benefiting American farmers. Both sides discussed trade expansion, rare earths access, the U.S. fentanyl crisis, U.S. port fees, and the potential transfer of TikTok to U.S. ownership. The deal will need further internal approval from both countries.
Trump, who is in Malaysia for an ASEAN summit, expressed optimism about reaching a deal with China. The trade talks come after a period of rising tensions, particularly over China’s rare earths export controls, which threaten global supply chains. Trump also signaled potential future meetings with Xi in China or the U.S.
In addition to trade, Trump aims to address issues like Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the war in Ukraine in his discussions with Xi.
Hundreds of requests have poured into the watchdog group StopAntisemitism after it offered last week to help New York City residents relocate over the potential rise of Zohran Mamdani to mayor.
Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for mayor, leads former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, making an independent bid after losing to Mamdani in the primary, and Republican Curtis Sliwa by double-digits in polls. Mamdani calls himself a Democratic Socialist and has been accused by critics of courting antisemites if not trafficking in Jew-hatred himself.
“New Yorkers – looking to relocate if Mamdani wins the NYC mayoral race? We’d love to connect you to realtors in FL, TX, CT, etc. You deserve to live in a city not run by an antisemite,” an October 16 X post from StopAntisemitism says.
“If Mamdani is elected, we will make it our mission to remove as much of his tax base as possible. Antisemites understand one thing – consequences,” a follow-up post says.
More than 300 people have expressed interest in StopAntisemitism’s offer since the post went up, group founder Liora Rez told The Daily Wire. In addition, real estate agents from across the United States have contacted Rez’s group to offer their services for anyone wishing to relocate out of The Big Apple.

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., said the next Democratic presidential nominee must vow to demolish President Donald Trump‘s White House ballroom, proposing the pledge a litmus test for the party’s 2028 contenders.
“Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE,” Swalwell wrote on X on Saturday.
Swalwell’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital for additional comment.
For the first time in its history, the White House will have a formal ballroom, a new addition built where the East Wing once stood, a project that has become a political flashpoint as photos of the demolition fuel debate over President Trump’s mark on the historic residence.
On July 31, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the planned construction of a 90,000-square-foot ballroom. The sprawling ballroom will accommodate approximately 650 seated guests and will stay true to the classical design of the White House.
“The White House is currently unable to host major functions honoring world leaders in other countries without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building’s entrance,” Leavitt said, adding the new ballroom will be “a much-needed and exquisite addition.”
Construction on the White House grounds, which began earlier this month, is estimated to cost $250 million and will be financed by Trump and private donors.
The ballroom isn’t the only update.
Trump has introduced gold accents in the Oval Office and Cabinet Room, a new monument dubbed the “Arc de Trump,” the “walk of fame” with portraits of former presidents, including a photo of the autopen representing former President Joe Biden’s time in office, added stone pavers to the Rose Garden lawn and installed two 88-foot flagpoles.
Ford said he would “pause [the] U.S. advertising campaign effective Monday so that trade talks can resume” after speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
A huge gambling scandal has hit the NBA. This is not going to be a huge surprise for most people.
An illegal alien truck driver kills three more Americans on a freeway in California.
And CNN digs up a new feminist talking point.
Not A Surprise
According to Perplexity:
The FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office announced early today one of the largest gambling-related crackdowns in professional sports history, resulting in at least 31 arrests, including Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups.
Key Points
Two Major Schemes: Federal indictments describe two overlapping criminal operations.
A sports betting conspiracy where current and former NBA players allegedly manipulated game outcomes and shared inside injury or lineup information.
An illegal high‑stakes poker ring tied to organized crime families in New York, Miami, Las Vegas, and the Hamptons.
Terry Rozier’s Role: Rozier, 30, was arrested in Orlando early Thursday. Investigators allege he conspired with gamblers by deliberately exiting games early and leaking confidential team details to betting partners. A March 23, 2023 game between the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans raised suspicion after an unusual betting surge on his “under” stats, followed by his early departure from play with a reported injury.
Chauncey Billups’ Role: Billups, a Hall of Famer and longtime Portland coach, was charged for participating in underground poker games connected to Mafia networks. Games reportedly included other coaches and celebrities, with participants receiving payments or travel advances. Billups was arrested in Portland, Oregon.
Other Defendants: Former NBA player Damon Jones also faces charges related to both operations. Altogether, the arrests span 11 states and involve over 30 defendants charged with gambling, wire fraud, and money laundering.
Background of Probe: The investigation traces back to the 2024 Jontay Porter betting scandal, in which the former Toronto Raptors center pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges after manipulating performances for gambling profit.
Current Status: FBI Director Kash Patel and the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York are holding a 10 a.m. ET press conference today in New York City to provide additional details. The NBA has stated it is cooperating but has not issued disciplinary actions yet.
These arrests mark the latest escalation in federal efforts to combat insider-driven sports wagering and organized crime’s influence on professional athletics.
A 21-year-old illegal immigrant from India who crossed the southern border in 2022 and was released by the Biden administration is now accused of causing a fiery semi-truck crash that killed three people in Southern California, multiple federal law enforcement sources tell Fox News.
According to federal sources, the suspect, identified as Jashanpreet Singh, was first encountered by Border Patrol agents in California‘s El Centro Sector in March 2022 and released into the interior of the country pending an immigration hearing.
Singh has now been arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated after plowing his big rig into slow-moving traffic on the I-10 Freeway in San Bernardino County.
The crash, caught on dashcam video, left at least three people dead and several injured.
Police say Singh never hit the brakes before slamming into the traffic jam, citing toxicology tests that confirmed impairment.
DHS sources confirm he is not in lawful immigration status and that ICE has lodged an immigration detainer following his arrest.
Harjinder Singh, who crossed the southern border illegally in 2018, obtained a commercial driver’s license in California and is accused of causing a crash in August in Fort Pierce, Florida, that killed three people.
Officials investigating the wreck said he failed English and road sign tests.
The crash comes as the Trump administration announced last week that it would be withholding more than $40 million in federal highway safety funding from California for failing to comply with federal English language proficiency standards for truck drivers.
Was it around the 2024 presidential election? Or since the overturn of Roe v. Wade? Maybe when men’s rights activists pushed back against #MeToo? Whatever the catalyst, a change in the political environment seemed to connect with a social change that brought back narrow, and at times constrictive, ideas of womanhood depicted in media.
The recent rise of weight loss medications coincided with social media influencers sharing ways to get smaller and no longer celebrating bodies of all sizes. Advertisements followed suit, making men’s desire once again a dominating factor in how stories are told, and how women are portrayed.
How had these discarded ideas made their way back into circulation? Didn’t we all agree we were through with them?
The culprit, I have learned, is the male gaze. It was always there, but now it has stepped back into the spotlight.
Later in the article:
The male gaze came roaring back this summer.
American Eagle –– whose partner brand Aerie has been known for marketing underwear to women with imagery that celebrated stretch marks, cellulite and a range of body sizes –– ran a controversial ad campaign starting in July. The ads sell jeans to women featuring actor Sydney Sweeney, who many men see as a sex symbol, insinuating the clothing would make men find them more attractive.
Further on in the article:
Then there was e.l.f. Beauty’s campaign led by a comedian infamous for domestic violence jokes and disdain of a primarily female audience. And this year saw viral content around an OnlyFans star’s attempt to break the world record for most sexual partners in one day –– a lucrative career move made even more viral by her bashing the wives and girlfriends of her sexual partners and suggesting men cheating is the fault of the women who aren’t available enough for sex.
Later in the article:
“Most typically, the male gaze is about representing women in media solely to satisfy heterosexual men,” said Dr. Linda Tuncay Zayer, professor of marketing and John F. Smith, Jr. Chair in Business Administration at the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
If you are observing women in movies, TV, fashion, social media and marketing and they don’t feel as fully materialized as their male counterparts, that is the male gaze.
Later in the article:
The woman’s value is reduced insofar as existing for pleasure or basically as an object,” Zayer said.
It’s Bond girls. And a long, lingering shot panning up a woman’s body in an advertisement for soda. It’s when an action movie accessory is running through explosions in tiny shorts and flowing curled hair before collapsing helplessly in the hero’s arms. And a social media star making a recipe while all dolled up and explaining her steps in a soft, sultry voice.
A 51-year-old Thai man named Pittaya Moolin, also known as “Chang Yai Modify,” was arrested in Bangkok on October 18, 2025, for performing illegal penis enlargement procedures inside an old Toyota Corolla parked in various areas of the city.
Authorities said Moolin posed as a doctor and used pearls, surgical tools, and anesthetic drugs during the operations despite having no medical license. Police discovered 189 types of pearls and other medical equipment during a raid on his vehicle.
According to reports, he promoted his “cosmetic enhancement” services on social media and performed the procedures on-site in the car as a side hustle to earn extra income. The car, believed to be a 1990s-era Corolla, was set up as a makeshift mobile surgery unit.
He is currently facing charges related to illegal medical practice and possession of unauthorized medical equipment.
A husband and wife from Houston, Texas—Sara Sommers Wilks, 37, and Brian Wilks, 40—were arrested in mid-October 2025 after allegedly leaving their six-month-old baby alone on Miramar Beach in Florida for nearly an hour while they walked with their three older children.
Incident Details
Deputies from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded around noon on October 10, after beachgoers found the unattended infant beneath a tent near 4000 Sandestin Boulevard. Witnesses said the baby was alone for about 50 minutes to an hour. When authorities arrived, first responders determined the baby’s vital signs were normal and she was not in distress.
The couple returned to the scene soon after, telling deputies they had “lost track of time” while on their walk. Security footage confirmed they had been away for nearly an hour—and had even left their cell phones with the baby, making them unreachable during the incident.
Charges and Custody Actions
Sara and Brian Wilks were arrested and charged with child neglect without great bodily harm, a third-degree felony in Florida. They were each released on a $1,000 bond the following day.
The couple’s four children—including the baby—were placed under the care of the Florida Department of Children and Families until relatives from Texas arrived to assume custody. Sheriff Michael Adkinson publicly thanked the beachgoer who discovered the baby and contacted authorities, calling their actions “quick-thinking” and compassionate.
Three elderly nuns staged a daring “great escape” from a care home in Austria. They didn’t like their new housing situation, so they called up old students and even hired a locksmith to help them break back into their former convent. They’ve now partially restored electricity and plumbing and are happily living there again — though the police continue to call it “incomprehensible” that they refuse to leave.
Butt-Breathing Science from Japan
Japanese scientists announced a new “butt-breathing” technique that could help patients with lung diseases. Inspired by aquatic animals capable of breathing through their intestines, they’re developing rectal oxygen delivery as an emergency medical procedure. It’s as bizarre as it sounds, but apparently legitimate research.
Hand-Drawn License Plate Trouble
A man in Florida was pulled over after officers noticed something odd about his car tag — it was a handmade cardboard license plate done in Sharpie. When asked about it, he reportedly said, “I didn’t think you’d notice if I stayed under 50.” Spoiler: they noticed.
Each one of these stories shows that, even in serious times, the world’s absurd side never takes a week off.
The the Left-wing political violence continues and we know where it is coming from. They keep saying it.
White House Attacked
According to Fox News:
A suspect was arrested on Tuesday night after ramming a car into the barricade of the White House, according to the Secret Service.
“On Tuesday, October 21 at approximately 10:37 p.m., an individual drove his vehicle into the Secret Service vehicle gate located at 17th and E St, NW, DC,” a Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement.
“The individual was immediately arrested by U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers, and the vehicle was assessed by Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department and deemed safe,” the statement added.
Additional information will be provided upon conclusion of the investigation, the spokesperson said.
A North Carolina man says he was shot at by an angry motorist who tore down a Trump banner in his mother’s front yard, an incident he believes reflects the nation’s growing political hostility.
Mark Thomas, who owns a river rafting business in the Nantahala Gorge, said he was relaxing at home on Sept. 6 when the shooting occurred.
Thomas told Fox News Digital he checked his security cameras after seeing a man wearing an “Antifa-style mask” step out of a Jeep Cherokee to look at a Trump banner attached to a bus parked near his 87-year-old mother’s home.
The man, identified by police as Benjamin Michael Campbell, 38, was allegedly speeding before abruptly stopping and removing the banner.
“Being a Second Amendment believer, I reached over, grabbed my rifle and took off out there to the porch,” Thomas said.
Thomas said he fired two warning shots into the air before Campbell allegedly got back into his vehicle and opened fire through the sunroof. Campbell then fled — only to return moments later and fire several more shots, striking a refrigerator inside the home, Thomas said.
Campbell, an Atlanta-based accountant, fled before police arrived. He was arrested Sept. 30 and extradited to North Carolina, where he faces charges including felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear and willful and wanton injury to personal property.
Thomas said he was stunned to learn the suspect was a professional in his late 30s.
“Some of these people, they just see a Trump sign, and they just snap,” he said. “The whole time I’m thinking, ‘This is some 20-year-old kid, and he’s going to figure it out eventually’.
“That was really my hesitation,” he added. “I thought, ‘You know, son, you’re going to live another day.’ And I came to find out this guy is 38 years old and an accountant out here in a full Antifa outfit.”
Authorities have arrested the man accused of threatening to kill Babylon Bee founder Seth Dillon.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the development on X, stating: “Last week, our Office of Statewide Prosecution was notified of multiple death threats made to Jewish conservative media members who live in Florida.”
Following the notification, prosecutors secured an arrest warrant, which law enforcement then executed. The suspect, now in custody, faces “charges of extortion, written threats to kill, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.”
User “zionistarescum,” who authorities now identify as 28-year-old Nicholas Ray, allegedly posted a disturbing message directly threatening Dillon.
The illegal immigrant who allegedly rammed an ICE vehicle in Los Angeles Tuesday after previously escaping federal authorities was earlier given an award by the city for his efforts in exposing “illegal raids,” The Daily Wire has learned.
ICE officers fired at the Mexican illegal immigrant, who has since been identified as Carlitos Ricardo Parías, 44, shooting him in the elbow. A U.S. Marshal was shot in the hand by a ricochet bullet.
The U.S. Attorney has since hit Parías with the federal charge of assaulting an officer, which could put him behind bars for up to eight years.
Parías is a well-known TikToker documenting ICE operations across LA to his more than 132,000 followers.
He was seen earlier this year in handcuffs being hauled into a vehicle by bystanders while federal authorities were trying arrest him for allegedly interfering with immigration operations, federal law enforcement sources told The Daily Wire.
The officers engaged in a struggle with the bystanders, who refused to hand Parías over for arrest. They ultimately drove him to a nearby hospital after he wailed that his leg was broken.
He was arrested on Tuesday for attempting to flee a second time. Tuesday’s shooting comes amid a 1,000% increase in assaults on federal immigration agents.“These are the consequences of conduct and rhetoric by sanctuary politicians and activists who urge illegal aliens to resist arrest. Resisting arrest puts the safety of illegal aliens, law enforcement, and the public at risk. Our law enforcement officers are facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them including vehicle rammings by illegal aliens,” Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said.
A far-left Howard University professor called for White allies of the leftist political cause to mirror a pre-Civil War-era vigilante mass murderer, who was eventually hanged for his crimes.
Stacey Patton is a professor of journalism at the Washington, D.C., private school. In a recent blog post titled “John Brown Didn’t Ask Enslaved People How to Be A Good White Ally,” she discouraged White liberals from asking her how to be a better “ally” to minorities, and encouraged them instead to emulate Brown.
Brown was a militant slave abolitionist during the pre-Civil War “Bleeding Kansas” period. In 1856, he orchestrated the Pottawatomie massacre. He and fellow abolitionists dragged five Kansas settlers, at least three of whom were pro-slavery sympathizers, out of their homes and executed them.
In October 1859, Brown led a 21-man raid on a federal armory in Harpers Ferry, part of Virginia at the time. His goal was to start a slave uprising, but few slaves joined the fight. A local militia confronted Brown and his men and fought back. Four townspeople, including freed slave Heyward Shepherd, were caught in the crossfire and killed in the skirmish.
After 10 of his men were killed, Brown was captured. He was later tried for treason and eventually hanged.
“So when white allies ask, ‘What can I do?’ here’s the answer: Be like John Brown. Ask yourself, what am I willing to burn so somebody else can breathe?” Patton wrote.
“Brown didn’t need a syllabus, a think piece, or a guidebook on allyship. He didn’t need affirmation from Black folks that he was one of the good ones,” Patton wrote. “He saw the horror for what it was and decided that ending this racist f—ery mattered more than being understood.”
She explains in the piece that trying to guide White people in their allyship is “exhausting as hell.”
“Even the well-intentioned versions drag you back into the same cycle of having to translate pain into curriculum. It’s the paradox of white ‘goodness.’ They want to be seen trying, but the trying itself becomes another demand on the people that are already harmed,” she wrote.
“We are not the architects. We are the collateral damage. You don’t ask the people choking on the smoke to explain how to put out the blaze,” she continued. “You go get the damn hose. You stop pretending you don’t see the flames. That’s the real answer: you already know what to do. Be honest: you just don’t want to lose the warmth that fire gives you.”
Later in the piece, she conceded that White allies don’t have to die like Brown.
“If you don’t want to die like John Brown, fine,” Patton wrote. “But understand that somebody always does.”
Howard University condemned violence in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“Howard University condemns all forms of violence, particularly actions that may result in the loss of life,” the Office of University Communications said. “The University remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding and protecting the First Amendment rights of free expression. However, the views and opinions expressed by individual faculty, staff, or students are solely their own and should not be construed as reflecting the official stance of Howard University.”
In the wake of The Big Beautiful Bill going into affect and the government shutdown, a new trend is going off on TikTok: People bitching about not getting their food stamps.
The Department of Justice has decide to do what the local court systems won’t.
And you might be asking what those people were protesting at the “No Kings” protest. Turns out a lot of the protesters didn’t know either.
Wahhh!
Mother is upset that her food stamps got cut off 🚫
Do any of these people look like they are starving?
Notice, they are all black.
No one thought that the best way to get food is to go to work and earn it. Food is not a human right.
This Needs to Happen
According to the Daily Wire:
U.S. Attorny for D.C. Jeanine Pirro announced on Monday charges against two teens allegedly involved in the attack against a Department of Government Efficiency staffer over the summer.
Federal prosecutors have charged Lawrence Cotton-Powell, 19, along with Anthony Taylor, 18, with robbery, assault, and carjacking in connection with the attack on a DOGE staffer, Edward Coristine, known as “Big Balls,” and another person in early August. Not long before Coristine was beaten while defending a woman, Cotton-Powell and Taylor were involved in the mugging of a victim named Ethan Levine, Pirro said.
In addition to the mugging prior to Coristine, Pirro said that both suspects are repeat offenders who should have been in jail for other offenses and never had the opportunity to attack the two men in August.
“Lawrence Cotton-Powell is 19 years of age. He is now charged with robbery, first-degree robbery for which he faces 15 years in prison. He also faces a charge of assault with intent to commit robbery, another 15 years, and robbery for Edward Coristine, 15 years, assault with intent to commit robbery, another 15 years, and attempted carjacking, five years,” Pirro said.
The U.S. attorney then went on to detail how judges ignored her office’s requests for jail time for Cotton-Powell, instead letting the teen loose on probation. A short time after he was released in each case, he allegedly committed other crimes that landed him back in the crosshairs of prosecutors.
“The codefendant in this case is an individual by the name of Anthony Taylor. He – charged also with the same arrest – he is fraught with the same crimes,” Pirro said.
The attack on Coristine, which left the federal staffer bloodied, appeared to trigger President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime in major American cities. The president has deployed National Guardsmen to areas such as Washington, D.C., and Memphis, Tennessee, to deter crime. He has attempted to deploy troops to other locations, such as Seattle, but has been blocked by the courts.
The charges against Cotton-Powell and Taylor come after two teens involved in the attack received probation, a punishment criticized by Pirro and Trump.
The president called the sentences of probation, handed down to a 15-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, “terrible.” The president and Pirro have called for stricter penalties against youth in D.C. to deter crime that has exploded among the capital’s teens.
“I think the judge should be ashamed of himself,” said Trump.
These people have no idea what they’re even protesting. Saying “if the illegals are peaceful it’s illegal to deport them” is like saying, “If a burglar tiptoes into your house quietly, you’re not allowed to kick them out.🤔
@Justine_Brooke is JUST FANTASTIC and you should follow her for her AWESOME CONTENT😲! This video really highlights how INCREDIBLY STUPID the protesters are🫨! If he was a King, HE WOULDN’T OF SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT DUMB ASSES🤬! pic.twitter.com/8RXB2UtUX4
