Episode 1236 – The Issue Is Not Nuanced Or Complex

I know I said I would keep this podcast about the uncommon new stories. The ones no one is talking about but we should pay attention to. Well, sometimes there are publicized stories that are just way too stupid to ignore. Let’s go over a bunch of them.

She’s Their Candidate?

According to the Post Millennial:

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed on Saturday that she has decided to freeze her eggs, sharing the decision publicly in a post on Instagram and accusing the Trump administration of “punishing” women on the issue of pregnancy.

“And as women in general, we are not taught about our bodies, we are not prepared for our own lives, whether that is in puberty, whether that is in pregnancy, whether that is in perimenopause, menopause, whether that is in so many different aspects of our lives.”

What is she talking about?

“In the political context that we’re in, in an administration that is dedicated to politicizing women’s bodies and taking our choices away from us and punishing us around decisions to be pregnant or not be pregnant — and, frankly, this administration has made pregnancy more dangerous than probably at any point in the last 30 plus years — we’re gonna take our power back.”

The only ones politicizing women’s bodies is the Left. No one on the Right is preventing her from getting pregnant the natural way.

The congresswoman framed her decision within the debate over abortion, criticizing the current administration and saying women are currently in a “dangerous” position.

She also argued that women in politics face questions about their age and plans to have children in ways men do not.

God, she’s dumb. She freezing her eggs to have a baby when her body will not allow her to have a baby because of abortion rights. Wouldn’t make more sense if she got pregnant and shouted her abortion or something?

“This is just not something that men deal with. Men run for office, or frankly, they interview for jobs and people don’t think in the back of their mind, ‘OK this guy’s running for office, how old is he? Oh, well is he gonna wanna start a family?’ This is a choice I am making to feel more in control of my life.”

Well, people don’t ask men why they don’t have babies because men can’t have babies. And J.D. Vance just had another child with his wife. That was talked about.

Some things:

  • This is gross.
  • There is no reason she should do this. She’s young enough and, supposedly, has a finace.
  • She says that she may have kids 10 years from now. That would make her almost 50. What kind of life is that for a kid to have two senior citizens as kids?
  • During the video, she says “Don’t be weird about this.” Is she kidding me? She’s injecting herself on video and sharing it. She’s the weird one.
  • She looks crazy.
  • She looks dumb.
  • She looks fat.
  • She’s running for President. That’s why she’s promising not to get pregnant for 10 years.

They Deserve This!

Some things:

  • He is 6’10”, 250 lbs. and is 34 years old.
  • He played in the NBA for 11 years averaging 10 points and 8 rebounds per game. He was a good player.
  • He quit the NBA for political reasons.
  • He will dominate the WNBA,

The more entertaining WNBA prospect is Royce White. He has also put his hat into the draft next year. He decided to wear a wig because he discovered his inner femininity.

Here’s his announcement on Fox News:

Some things:

  • Royce White is 35 years old.
  • He is 6’8″ and weighs 260 lbs.
  • He played in the NBA for 6 years and was the 16th overall pick in 2012.
  • He never played much in the NBA but averaged 14 point per game and 9 rebounds per game.
  • He is for the Senate as a Republican in 2024.

But he is really enjoying this. He has been making the podcast circuit wearing a wig and making the WNBA’s stance look stupid.

Here he is, saying his fear of flying was there because his inner woman was trying to be free.

I love it. He wants to “glow” the league.

Well, the WNBA is really worried about this. They decided to have an emergency meeting next week to discuss the criteria involved when joining the league.

According to the Post Millennial:

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert has called for the league to hold discussions about transgender-identifying athletes competing in women’s basketball following ongoing controversy and the recent announcement of two former NBA players seeking WNBA draft eligibility.

Englebert sent a memo to WNBA teams on Friday to address the issue, according to ESPN.

“I know many of you have received questions in recent weeks regarding transgender athlete participation in women’s basketball, and I expect this topic will continue to receive significant attention,” the memo said. “I wanted to reach out to share how we are approaching these conversations at the league office and to thank those of you who have responded to questions from the media with thoughtfulness and professionalism.”

Engelbert said the issue will also be discussed next week at a previously scheduled meeting that includes team presidents and general managers.

“We recognize that this is a complex and nuanced topic, and we will continue to have important conversations with all of you and the Players Association in the weeks and months ahead,” Engelbert added in the memo. “We also plan to convene additional discussions and offer listening sessions for any team leaders who would like to participate. Your perspectives and feedback are invaluable, and I appreciate those who have already reached out to share their thoughts.”

The debate over transgender athletes within the WNBA community erupted after Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham publicly supported prohibiting biological males from competing in women’s sports. Her comments prompted protests and criticism, including from some team executives and coaches across the league who opposed her position.

The controversy escalated further after former NBA players Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White announced that they intended to declare for the WNBA Draft while identifying as women. The announcements were widely interpreted as intentionally provocative efforts to draw attention to the WNBA’s eligibility rules, which lack a clear definition of who qualifies as a woman and could include biological men who claim to be women.

On Friday, the Women’s National Basketball Players Association released a statement emphasizing its commitment to “justice equity, diversity, and inclusion.”
