Protests erupted across Los Angeles following surprise Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that resulted in 44 administrative arrests at multiple locations, including the Fashion District and a Home Depot in the Westlake District, as reported by ABC News and the Los Angeles Times.
Some things about the riot:
Millions of damage was done including to police and federal law enforcement vehicles, damaged property, burning of civilian and commercial vehicles.
Multiple fires have been started, mostly vehicles.
Police and Sheriff were ordered to stand down and only use non-lethal force, tear gas, and flash bangs when riot became violent.
The rioters shutdown the 101 Freeway for several hours.
The rioters set fire to four Waymo cars (a cost of $300K each).
Four police cars were pelted with rocks on the 101 Freeway, destroying the cars.
Businesses were looted.
Rioters are using commercial grade fireworks to attack police officers.
The rioting started in a relatively small area as of Sunday morning, but began to spread

The Response
Karen Bass said on CNN:
The deployment of the National Guard to Los Angeles has been a chaotic escalation.
This woman is on CNN talking about Trump "not liking peaceful protests" when literally, on the screen next to her it looks like a scene from The Purge with a car on fire.
This woman is delusional. These people are wreaking havoc on the city and ICE.
I went on a rant yesterday about allowing the Chinese government to control our food supplies. Well, I’m going to go on another one.
District court judges are at it again with interfering with the Trump agenda. Where were these guys during the Biden administration?
And be prepared for Donald Trump to be called a racist again.
News
Here is some news:
President Donald Trump signed a proclamation Wednesday evening banning foreign nationals from 12 countries from entering the United States and imposing heightened restrictions on seven others, reviving a signature policy from his first term that was rescinded by the Biden administration four years ago.
The ban, which takes effect Monday at 12:01 a.m., fully restricts entry from Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Citizens from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela face partial restrictions.
The Supreme Court on Thursday sided with a Wisconsin-based Catholic charity group in a case centered on unemployment tax credits for religious institutions – delivering a victory for faith-based institutions, who argued that the state’s decision had violated the religious clauses under the First Amendment.
In a unanimous opinion, justices on the high court agreed that the state had engaged in an “unnecessary entanglement” in attempting to define whether religious groups should be entitled to an otherwise-available tax exemption based on the state’s criteria for religious behavior.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that the group must pay the tax since the nature of their work was primarily secular, since it was not “operated primarily for religious purposes,” and serves and employs non-Catholics.
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of an Ohio woman who claimed to be the victim of so-called reverse discrimination on Thursday, making it easier for people across the country who are members of majority groups to sue for discrimination.
The unanimous ruling puts an end to a standard used in 20 states and the District of Columbia that imposed a higher burden of proof on white, male, and straight individuals who claimed to be the victims of discrimination on the basis of those identities.
The ruling was a win for Marlean Ames, a 20-year veteran of the Ohio Department of Youth Services who said that she was denied a promotion and then demoted for being straight, while both the person who received the promotion and took her old job identified as LGBT.
A federal judge in Colorado has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deporting the wife and five children of Mohamed Sabry Soliman, the suspect in a recent firebombing attack at a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado. The family, all Egyptian nationals, was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and was being processed for expedited removal from the United States
Karine Jean-Pierre, who served as White House press secretary under President Joe Biden from May 2022 until the end of his term in January 2025, has officially left the Democratic Party and now identifies as an independent. This change was announced in conjunction with the upcoming release of her book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” scheduled for publication on October 21, 2025
Jean-Pierre’s decision to become an independent follows a period of disillusionment with the Democratic Party, particularly during the tumultuous weeks leading up to President Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. In her book, she describes a sense of betrayal by the party, which she says played a role in Biden’s withdrawal and in her own reassessment of partisan loyalty
She argues that the current political climate demands moving beyond traditional party lines, advocating for Americans to prioritize their values and independent thinking over party allegiance. Jean-Pierre emphasizes the need for “freeing ourselves of boxes” and encourages a more creative, strategic, and questioning approach to politics, rather than “blindly loyal and obedient” partisanship
Two Chinese nationals who have been working at the University of Michigan have been charged with attempting to smuggle a dangerous biological pathogen into the United States.
According to a press release from the Department of Justice, Yunqing Jian, 33, and Zunyong Liu, 34, both Chinese foreign nationals in the United States, were charged with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the United States, false statements, as well as visa fraud.
According to the DOJ, the Chinese nationals had tried to smuggle in a fungus called Fusarium graminearum, which can be used as a agroterrorism weapon, targeting crops and livestock consumed by the American public.
The fungus has the potential to cause “head blight” in wheat, barley, maize, and rice, and has the potential to take out millions of dollars in crops. The fungus can also cause vomiting, liver damage, and reproductive defects in humans and livestock.
The DOJ stated, “According to the complaint, Jian received Chinese government funding for her work on this pathogen in China. The complaint also alleges that Jian’s electronics contain information describing her membership in and loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party. It is further alleged that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen and that he first lied but then admitted to smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America—through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport—so that he could conduct research on it at the laboratory at the University of Michigan where his girlfriend, Jian, worked.”
The charges come as the Trump administration announced that it will be aggressively revoking visas for Chinese nationals in the US who are here on student visas if they have links to the CCP or if they are studying in critical fields.
“The federal charges announced today against Yunqing Jian and Zunyong Liu, both residents of the People’s Republic of China, signify a crucial advancement in our efforts to safeguard our communities and uphold national security,” said Cheyvoryea Gibson, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Detroit Field Office. “These individuals exploited their access to laboratory facilities at a local university to engage in the smuggling of biological pathogens, an act that posed an imminent threat to public safety.”
The New York Times, in its inexhaustible capacity to load an argument when attacking institutions it loathes, did it once again, leaving out key information when covering a ridiculous lawsuit targeting the major oil companies of the Western Hemisphere.
The lawsuit brought by Misti Leon after the death of her mother, Juliana Leon, accuses oil companies of causing Juliana’s death in 2021 because of their contribution to climate change. Juliana, 65, died in her car on June 28, 2021, from hyperthermia. The lawsuit names Exxon, British Petroleum, Chevron, Shell, Conoco, and Phillips 66 oil companies, as well as the Olympic Pipe Company, because of their contribution to climate change.
“The day Julie died was the hottest day ever recorded in Washington with temperatures in Seattle, where Julie died, peaking around 108°F. It was the third consecutive day above 100°F, and record nighttime temperatures prevented the built environment from being able to dissipate the heat it had absorbed throughout the day. In effect, Seattle had turned into an oven,” the lawsuit claims. “This heat was deadly, particularly for those who were unable to escape the heat or were otherwise vulnerable to excessive temperatures.”
“The heat dome that scorched the Pacific Northwest in 2021 would have been ‘virtually impossible’ were it not for man-made climate change, according to researchers with World Weather Attribution, an international group of scientists and meteorologists,” The New York Times wrote. “Around the world, extreme heat has emerged as one of the deadliest manifestations of a warming planet.”
Yet the Times never mentions some salient points regarding Leon’s death, even though they’re included in the lawsuit.
By itself, the lawsuit is stupid. But, surprise, the New York Times has decided to skip some kind of important points.
The story continues:
One: Two weeks before her death, doctors performed bariatric surgery on her; she had been on a liquid diet ever since. Two: The day of her death, she was returning from a doctor’s appointment where they told her she could resume eating solid foods. The Times never mentions that the car’s air conditioning broke, prompting Leon to roll down the windows and pull over to the side of the road. Three: Weather forecasts said the heat would be intense that day.
But as was pointed out by research meteorologist Ryan Maue, who issued a thread on X about the lawsuit, “The research study that concluded this heat wave event was ‘virtually impossible’ without climate change does not provide an analysis of all ‘heat dome’ events from the past 2,000 years — instead focusing on model data since 1950.”

Here is a clip from the TV show “Girls,” where a character named Mimi-Rose, played by Gillian Jacobs, casually informs Adam Driver’s character that she had an abortion without discussing it with him, leading to a heated exchange. This scene was intended to portray Mimi-Rose as nonchalant about the abortion, reflecting a perspective rarely seen on television, as noted by Lena Dunham, the show’s creator, who aimed to normalize such portrayals.
The scene has sparked significant controversy and discussion, with many viewers interpreting Mimi-Rose’s actions and demeanor as cold and psychopathic, contrary to the intended message of the show. This reaction highlights a broader cultural debate on abortion, where the casualness of the decision and lack of communication with the partner are seen as morally objectionable by some, challenging the show’s attempt to present abortion as a personal choice without melodrama.
The real-life “Annabelle” doll was blamed for a string of alarming incidents by conspiracy theorists that claimed it escaped while on tour in New Orleans — but its owner confirmed it’s safely back home and was never out of his control.
The diabolical — and supposedly demonic — Raggedy Ann doll fictionalized in “The Conjuring” movie series made a pit stop at Ghost City Tours office in the Big Easy in mid-May — the same week of a daring prison breakout and a devastating fire at a former plantation nearby.
The timing led to speculation that the doll was behind the chaos.
But she’s “safely back” behind lock and key at the Warren Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, owner Tony Spera told The Post.
“The doll was taken on a brief tour to several locations to show the doll to enthusiasts of the paranormal,” Spera said.
“The doll was never out of our control. We take extreme precautions when handling or transporting the doll.”
The precautions, which included having a Catholic priest traveling with Annabelle, apparently weren’t enough for some observers who believe the doll’s stint in New Orleans on May 13 and 14 was a bad omen.
An inferno destroyed the historic Nottoway Plantation House between Baton Rouge and New Orleans on May 15 and the next day 10 inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center. Most inmates have since been recaptured.
“I did not think people were taking it seriously, (because) I kept seeing jokes about it on Instagram and TikTok,” Ghost City Tours founder Tim Nealon told USA Today.
“But, I didn’t realize people were out here like, actually thinking that this was legit.”
He said some people are “absolutely convinced” Ghost City Tours is culpable in the prison break and fire.
They really take care of this thing:
It is in a locked case.
The case has crosses on the side.
The thing is blessed with holy water and oil by a Catholic priest.

Sarah Lin, a senior at Bronx Science who has made headlines crusading to make the movies more friendly for the hearing impaired, is continuing her fight in Albany by pushing for a proposed bill that would make it mandatory for movie theaters across the country to provide closed captioning at more screenings.
She has become the face of the movement and the brain behind its social media push, giving the cause typically focused on the elderly community a much-needed facelift.
With only two weeks left of the legislative session, Lin has been working in overdrive.
“I’ve definitely been very busy with school, but I think you always end up finding a way to make time for what you’re passionate about,” Lin, 18, of Kew Gardens, told The Post.
“Knowing that I’m able to make such real, impactful change and seeing the actual reactions and the responses from the deaf and hard of hearing community has pushed me to want to continue working on this and continue trying to pass this bill statewide.”
The Open Captioning Accessibility Act would require indoor movie theaters across the state with more than 10 shows per week to provide subtitles for at least half of their peak showtimes.

They Hate This Country
According to the Post Millennial:
Arizona’s Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs refused to back a bill to prevent the Chinese communist government from buying and owning land in her state. The bill, which would have banned the CCP from having a substantial interest of 30% or more in Arizona land, was GOP-backed.
Democrats initially said the bill could lead to discrimination in property sales. But by May, an amendment to the bill narrowed the ban to just the CCP as opposed to all businesses from countries “designated as enemies of the United States by the director of national intelligence,” said the Arizona Mirror.
With the new language, the bill passed the Arizona House with a vote of 41-17, which included 8 Democrats voting in favor of the measure. The Arizona Senate approved too, though their vote was along party lines.
Hobbs, however, wouldn’t have it. Her short veto read: “Today, I vetoed Senate Bill 1109. Improvements to systems that protect our infrastructure are important. However, this legislation is ineffective at counter-espionage and does not directly protect our military assets. Additionally, it lacks clear implementation criteria and opens the door to arbitrary enforcement.”
Sponsor of the bill, State Senator Janae Shamp, said that the goal of the bill was to protect American national interests, including protecting US military bases from being spied on by CCP drones or other surveillance techniques. During a debate on the bill in February, Shamp said that this kind of surveillance from the CCP was already happening in her state.
This Shouldn’t Have Had That Name in the First Place
According to Fox News:
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the renaming of a U.S. Navy ship named after San Francisco gay rights activist Harvey Milk.
The Military Times first reported on a memorandum issued by the Office of the Secretary of the Navy rolling out plans to rename the oiler USNS Harvey Milk.
The outlet reported that a defense official said the U.S. Navy was making preparations to strip the ship of its name and that Hegseth had directed Navy Secretary John Phelan to do so. The Military Times also reported the official saying the timing of the announcement during Pride month was intentional.
The memo directing the renaming of the ship said the move is meant to mark a shift in culture in the Department of Defense and U.S. Navy in “alignment with president and SECDEF [secretary of defense] objectives and SECNAV [secretary of the Navy] priorities of reestablishing the warrior culture,” according to the outlet.
Later in the article:
The USNS Harvey Milk was named after Milk in 2016 during the Obama administration. The ship completed its maiden voyage in 2024, arriving in San Francisco with much fanfare.
According to the Harvey Milk Foundation, Milk was a “visionary civil and human rights leader who became one of the first openly gay elected officials in the United States” when he was elected to public office in San Francisco in 1977.
The foundation said that Milk enlisted in the Navy in 1951 but resigned in 1955 at the rank of lieutenant junior grade “after being officially questioned about his sexual orientation.”
Federal authorities on Tuesday took into custody the wife and all five children of Egyptian national and anti-Israel terrorist Mohamed Sabry Soliman, who firebombed pro-Israel demonstrators after overstaying his visa during the Biden era.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the ICE arrests in a video post on X, with sources telling Fox News and the New York Post that the family is being processed for expedited deportation following questioning.
Here is her statement on X:
Today, @DHSgov and @ICEGov are taking the family of suspected Boulder, Colorado terrorist, and illegal alien, Mohamed Soliman, into ICE custody.
This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this… pic.twitter.com/fcjMiyWil7
Soliman’s relatives, who have had their visas revoked, are being detained at an immigration detention center in southern Texas, and following interrogation, officials intend to use expedited removal to deport the family, sources told the Post.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the woman who accused former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer of sexual assault to pay more than $300,000 for violating the terms of a settlement agreement on Monday.
Lindsey Hill accused Bauer of sexual assault in 2021, leading to an MLB investigation that resulted in a massive suspension for Bauer. They would ultimately settle their lawsuits in 2023, with Bauer suing Hill for defamation, while she sued for assault and sexual battery.
It was agreed that neither party would pay the other, but that changed after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel Crowley ordered Hill to pay Bauer $309,832.02. This comes after Hill’s attorneys told Bauer’s attorneys in an email that she would receive $300,000 from her insurance policy.
Bauer is to receive $220,000 for damages, while attorney fees ($68,939.55), interest ($16,634.52) and costs ($4,257.95) bring the grand total to more than $309,000.
Hill breached their settlement agreement with each other by discussing Bauer on podcasts and in public appearances, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Before the oppressive summer heat descends on Atlanta, therapist Brittanee Sims usually gets her thick, curly hair braided at a salon to preserve her healthy mane.
But it’s more expensive this year. So she’ll only pay for her teenage daughter and son to get their summer hairdos. Not having braided hair “creates more of a hassle for everything,” said Sims, who counts herself among the tens of millions of women that regularly spend on the Black hair care industry.
Now, she said, she has to “go home and figure out what I’m gonna do to my hair in the morning, after I went to the gym and it’s messed up with sweating and frizz.”
President Donald Trump’s tariffs are driving up prices for products many Black women consider essential, squeezing shoppers and stylists even more as they grapple with inflation and higher rents. Much of the synthetic braiding hair, human hair for extensions, wigs and weaves, styling tools, braiding gel and other products is imported from or has packaging from China, which was subject to a combined 145% tariff in April. India also is a major global source of human hair.
Local regulators should immediately stop Elon Musk’s supercomputer project from operating in South Memphis because it’s out of compliance with environmental rules, the NAACP wrote in a letter sent Thursday to Shelby County officials.
The civil rights group addressed the request to Dr. Michelle Taylor, director of the Shelby County Health Department, and to the commissioners of Memphis Light Gas and Water. The health department is responsible for implementing federal air regulations in Shelby County, which encompasses Memphis.
“Being the world’s richest man doesn’t give you the right to pollute Black communities and jeopardize the health of its residents,” NAACP president and CEO Derrick Johnson said in a statement to NBC News. “We urge the health department to step in immediately.”
When contacted, a spokesperson for Memphis Light Gas and Water said it had not received the NAACP letter and could not comment on it. Neither the health department nor xAI immediately responded to questions about the letter, which was also signed by the presidents of the Tennessee and Memphis chapters of the NAACP.
In a previous statement to NBC News, xAI said its “operations comply with all applicable laws” and that it “works collaboratively with County and City officials, EPA personnel, and community leaders regarding all things that affect Memphis.”
xAI has come under scrutiny in recent months for operating methane gas turbines at its Memphis facility to meet the electricity needs of the supercomputer Colossus. The turbines emit pollutants, including nitrogen oxides and formaldehyde, according to their manufacturer.
An anti-Jew terror attack happens in Boulder, Colorado and NBC News decides to lie about it.
And Happy Pride month! Hopefully this will be the last one.
This Is Going to Get Worse
According to Fox News:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating a “targeted terror attack” Sunday afternoon near Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado.
At about 4:30 p.m., the Boulder Police Department said it was responding to a report of an attack near the mall with reports of several victims.
“We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote in a statement on X. “Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available.”
Witnesses who spoke with CBS said the suspect used Molotov cocktails to attack people walking for “Run for Their Lives,” a grassroot organization that facilitates global run and walk events calling for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
Police initially evacuated three surrounding blocks and expanded the evacuation area just before 5:15 p.m.
It is unclear how many people were injured and the extent of their injuries.
Information on potential arrests has not yet been released by authorities.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis called the attack a “heinous act of terror.”
“Hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable. While details emerge, the state works with local and federal law enforcement to support this investigation,” Polis wrote on X.
Of course, NBC News decided to jump to conclusions and promote their narrative. In other words, they decided to lie:

AB Hernandez, a transgender junior from Jurupa Valley High School, made headlines at the 2025 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Track & Field Championships by winning two state titles and placing second in a third event. Hernandez’s participation and victories took place under a newly implemented CIF policy designed to address concerns about fairness and inclusion in girls’ athletics13456.
Championship Results
High Jump: Hernandez tied for first place with a mark of 5 feet, 7 inches, sharing the gold medal with two other athletes, Lelani Laruelle (Monta Vista) and Jillene Wetteland (Long Beach Poly), who also cleared the same height345.
Triple Jump: Hernandez won with a leap of 42 feet, 2.75 inches, sharing the podium with Kira Grant Hatcher (St. Mary’s), who finished with a mark of 40 feet, 5 inches34.
Long Jump: Hernandez finished second with a jump of 20 feet, 8.75 inches. The event was won by Loren Webster (Long Beach Wilson) with a leap just over 21 feet345.
Veronica Garcia
Verónica Garcia is a senior at East Valley High School in Spokane, Washington, and a standout track athlete who has made history as the first transgender runner to win a Washington state track title in the girls’ 400-meter dash. She defended her championship in 2025, winning the Class 2A girls’ 400-meter dash for the second consecutive year at the WIAA State Track and Field Championships in Tacoma125.
2025 State Championship Performance
Garcia won the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.70 seconds, narrowly improving on her previous year’s winning time of 55.75 seconds125.
She led the race from near start to finish, finishing ahead of her main rival, Lauren Matthew of West Valley, who clocked 56.75 seconds12.
The event was marked by controversy and protests from some spectators and fellow athletes, with Garcia facing boos and jeers both during and after the race125.
Some competitors refused to share the podium with Garcia, and a group of athletes wore T-shirts reading “Keep Women’s Sports Female”2.
Aayden Gallagher
Aayden Gallagher is a transgender high school track athlete from McDaniel High School in Portland, Oregon, who competes in girls’ track events under the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) policy, which allows athletes to participate according to their consistently asserted gender identity346.
2025 Track Season Highlights
Gallagher, now known as Ada Gallagher, continued to make headlines in the 2025 season for her performances in girls’ track events in Oregon128.
At the Portland Interscholastic League Track and Field Championships on March 19, 2025, Ada Gallagher set a season record in the 400 meters with a time of 57.62 seconds, finishing nearly 10 seconds ahead of the runner-up1.
In the 200 meters at the same meet, Gallagher also set a season record with a time of 25.76 seconds, 1.5 seconds faster than the second-place finisher1.
Earlier in the 2024-2025 school year, Gallagher won the Oregon Girls’ 6A 200-meter state championship with a time of 23.82 seconds, narrowly beating Aster Jones (24.02 seconds), and took silver in the 400 meters with a time of 52.98 seconds, just behind Josie Donelson (52.83 seconds)67.
Gallagher’s 200-meter time at the Sherwood Need For Speed Classic was 25.49 seconds, making her the fifth-fastest 200-meter runner in the state at that point5.

A transgender pitcher at Champlin Park High School in Minnesota has drawn statewide and national attention after leading the school’s softball team to its first-ever state tournament appearance with a shutout victory in the sectional final12345. The athlete’s participation has sparked significant controversy, legal action, and political debate.
Key Facts:
The pitcher, whose identity has not been publicly confirmed due to privacy laws, is described in media reports as transgender and has been central to Champlin Park’s postseason success, including a 1-0 win in the Class 4A, Section 5 championship3.
Three anonymous female softball players, represented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), have filed a lawsuit against the state of Minnesota and the Minnesota State High School League. They argue that allowing a transgender athlete to compete in girls’ softball is unfair and potentially dangerous1245.
One of the plaintiffs stated, “Hitting against him is not only a physical challenge but a mental, too. It’s a mental battle knowing that he has an advantage in the sport that I grew up playing, making it hard to even want to hit against him. His ability to get outs and spin the ball is a strong advantage, but like I said it’s also incredibly mentally challenging knowing that you’re competing against someone who has unfair advantages leaving you with little to no confidence”1245.

According to the Daily Wire:
On Wednesday night, Elon Musk made it clear that the reason he was leaving his role leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project was due to a rule limiting special government employees to 130 days of service rather than any rumored feud with President Donald Trump.
He stated on X:

The governing body that oversees California high school sports clarified on Wednesday that its new policy for the upcoming track meet this weekend would still award girls their rightful places on the podium, even if a trans-identifying boy has one of the top scores.
In a statement shared with The Daily Wire, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) said that at the state championships, “a biological female student-athlete who would have earned a specific placement on the podium will also be awarded the medal for that place and the results will be reflected in the recording of the event.”
The CIF statement is a follow-up to an announcement made on Tuesday that stated that female athletes who lost out on qualifying for the state track and field championships because they were forced to compete against a boy would be invited to the event. The updated guidance means that if trans-identifying student AB Hernandez places in the high jump, triple jump, or long jump, he will be accompanied on the podium by the female athlete who would have finished in his position. The final events are set to be held on Saturday, with qualifying events held on Friday.
“On Friday, May, 30, if necessary, in the high jump, triple jump and long jump qualifying events at the 2025 CIF State Track and Field Championships, a biological female student-athlete who would have earned the next qualifying mark will also be advanced to the finals,” the CIF stated.
On Tuesday, the San Francisco public school district announced a new grading policy that will allow students to graduate classes with a score as low as 21 percent. The “Grading for Equity” method eliminates homework and weekly test scores from a student’s final semester grade.
Instead, there will be one test at the end of each semester to decide if a student has passed the class. The final exam can be retaken several times, The Voice San Francisco reported.
Maria Su, the Superintendent of the San Francisco Unified School District, enacted the new guidelines without seeking approval from the board, according to the nonprofit. The changes will impact 10,000 students across 14 high schools in California’s Bay Area.
Students may submit assignments late, fail to attend class, or choose not to attend at all without consequence to their academic performance. As of current, receiving an A requires a minimum score of 90 percent, while a D is set at 61 percent. Under the new scale, a student can obtain an A with a score as low as 80 percent, typically a B- and a D with a score as low as 21 percent, which is otherwise known as an F.
Educators, students, and parents have expressed concerns regarding the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiative, particularly how it would impact academic standards and college readiness, Newsweek reported. The San Francisco school district’s experiment comes in spite of President Donald Trump’s executive order signed in January that eliminated DEI programs in federal taxpayer-funded institutions.
Supporters of the policy argue that by reducing the emphasis on behavior-based penalties like missing or late assignments, it more accurately reflects a student’s learning, while critics believe it would hurt students who are already on pace for college placement.
The Treasury Department said it plans to stop manufacturing the penny, calling time on one of the first coins minted by the U.S. government.
The federal agency placed its final order for penny blanks this month, with the United States Mint slated to end manufacturing of the penny when that runs out, a Treasury official told CBS MoneyWatch. The blanks — flat, metal discs that the Mint turns into coins — will run out in early 2026, according to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the news.
The penny, which dates from the early days of the U.S. Mint after its establishment in 1792, now costs more to manufacture than the coin is worth. The 1-cent coin cost about 3.7 cents to manufacture and distribute in 2024, according to the U.S. Mint’s 2024 annual report.
Ending production of the penny will save the Mint about $56 million in annual savings, the Treasury said on Thursday.
Despite their coppery look, pennies are mostly made of zinc, with their distinctive appearance coming from a copper overlay. Zinc’s cost per metric ton is more than double what it was in 2000, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

To further enhance its credibility, starwarsweb.net also advertised Lego Star Wars sets, creating a comprehensive fan experience that effectively masked its true purpose as an intelligence communications tool.1 The website appears to have been active around 2010, blending seamlessly into the vast landscape of Star Wars fan communities online while serving as a channel for the CIA to communicate with informants in foreign countries.
Discovery by Security Researcher
The revelation of the CIA’s covert Star Wars fan site came through the investigative work of an amateur security researcher who uncovered the true purpose behind starwarsweb.net.12
This discovery was particularly significant as the site was part of a larger network of CIA-operated websites that had initially been exposed by Iranian authorities more than a decade ago.2
The consequences of this exposure were severe and far-reaching, ultimately contributing to a devastating wave of deaths among CIA sources in China during the early 2010s.23
This security breach represents one of the most significant compromises of CIA digital communication infrastructure in recent history, highlighting the inherent risks of using themed websites as covert communication channels.
Venus is concealing at least three city-killer asteroids that could strike Earth in weeks without warning, potentially wreaking havoc upon our planet before we can react.
“Twenty co-orbital asteroids (space rocks in the orbit of two celestial bodies) of Venus are currently known,” the authors warned in the arockcalyptic study, which was published in the journal “Astronomy and Astrophysics.”
The international research team, led by Valerio Carruba of Sao Paolo University in Brazil, wrote that at least three of the asteroids — 2020 SB, 524522, and 2020 CL1 — that circle the Sun in tandem with our twin planet have unstable orbits that take them dangerously close to Earth, The Daily Mail reported.
If this shaky trajectory is shifted only slightly by a small gravitational change or other force, they could be set on a collision course with our planet, per the study.
“Co-orbital status protects these asteroids from close approaches to Venus, but it does not protect them from encountering Earth,” the researchers warned, according to the Daily Galaxy.
Carruba and co came to this conclusion by using imitation space rocks to simulate a range of possible outcomes over 36,000 years, finding that there is a sizable population of low-eccentricity asteroids — those previously thought to be harmless — that could be propelled toward Earth via gravitational shifts and other factors.
To make matters worse, the aforementioned cosmic rocks’ orbits make them almost invisible to Earthly detection devices.
While scientists at NASA and other space agencies routinely track potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids, the telescopes can’t spot rocks in a sub-orbital path with Venus due to the sun’s glare, which shields them like a cosmic cloaking device, WION reported.
Due to this interstellar blindspot, the Rubin Observatory in Chile would have only two to four weeks to spot deadly asteroids, leaving us little time if they were on a collision course.
For reference, a mission to engineer something that could deflect a killer space rock generally takes years to formulate.
“Low-e (low eccentricity) Venus co-orbitals pose a unique challenge, because of the difficulties in detecting and following these objects from Earth,” the authors write in their conclusion.
It would be bad news if one of these intergalactic gravelstones hit home.
Asteroids 2020 SB, 524522, and 2020 CL1, measure between 330 and 1,300 feet in diameter, making each one capable of destroying entire cities and causing massive fires and tsunamis, the Daily Mail reported.
An impact would leave a crater over two miles wide and generate one million times more energy than the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in 1945.
Unfortunately, due to the constraints of terrestrial monitoring equipment, we may have to look to the stars for a solution.
“We believe that only a dedicated observational campaign from a space-based mission near Venus could potentially map and discover all the still ‘invisible’ PHA (potentially hazardous asteroids) among Venus’ co-orbital asteroids,” the authors wrote.
However, the powers that be better hurry as researchers predict that co-orbital asteroids’ orbits could become unpredictable in just over 150 years — a blip in the interstellar timescale.

He never hated the rich. He didn’t hate anyone. Jesus had tax collectors following Him.
What this guy doesn’t point out is that Jesus was a Jew, from birth to death.
Jesus was not a communist. He believed in God and religions. Communists ban religion.
Christians don’t do any of that stuff. In fact, one of the reasons he can say this crap and not get slapped around because Christians are the most tolerant of any religions.
Why isn’t this guy saying this about Muslims? They are far less tolerant than Christians.
Peter, Jesus’ greatest apostle, started the Catholic church. It’s ridiculous to think Christ would not approve.

SAM: Speaking with American Men – What Is It?
SAM—short for Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan—is a new $20 million Democratic Party initiative launched in 2025 to address the party’s declining support among young and working-class male voters, especially in online spaces245. The project is a direct response to recent election cycles where the gender gap shifted, with more men, particularly young men, moving toward the Republican Party, contributing to Democratic losses in key battleground states124.
The Strategy and Its Components
SAM’s primary focus is on understanding and engaging with men—especially young men—in the digital environments where they spend their time. The plan includes:
Studying Language and Virality: SAM promises to “study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces,” essentially treating young men’s online culture as a subject for anthropological research245.
Advertising in Video Games: One of the more concrete recommendations is to purchase advertisements in video games, aiming to meet young men where they are most engaged245.
Content Analysis: The initiative seeks to analyze the themes and formats that resonate with men in digital communities, hoping to inform future messaging and outreach2345.
Criticism and Internal Debate
The SAM initiative has faced significant criticism from both inside and outside the Democratic Party:
Consultant-Driven Approach: Many see SAM as a product of the “consultant class”—expensive, top-down, and disconnected from the real concerns of its target audience. Critics argue that spending millions on consultants to study men’s online behavior is unlikely to address the core issues driving the shift in male voting patterns25.
Marketing vs. Substance: There’s skepticism that focusing on marketing tactics (like ads in video games) misses deeper policy and cultural issues that have alienated men from the party, such as economic concerns, cultural identity, and perceptions of the party’s stance on masculinity and working-class values45.
Party Disconnect: Some Democratic strategists and donors have been described as viewing working-class and male voters almost as an “anthropological” curiosity, furthering perceptions of disconnect between party leadership and these communities24.
Broader Context
The launch of SAM comes amid a broader reckoning within the Democratic Party after a series of electoral setbacks, including a historic drop in approval ratings (down to 27% in recent NBC News polling)24. The party is engaged in internal debates over policy direction, messaging, and how to rebuild coalitions that once included more male and working-class voters1.
Cultural and Political Landscape
Republican Outreach: The GOP, especially under Trump, has actively courted young male voters through influencer partnerships, support for issues like Bitcoin, and direct engagement in online spaces7.
Democratic Messaging: Efforts like the SAM Elliott ad for Kamala Harris, which frames voting for a woman as an act of masculine courage, illustrate the party’s attempts to reframe gender and masculinity in its favor7.
Media and Podcast Influence: Figures like Joe Rogan, who attract large male audiences with independent, anti-establishment views, highlight the complex, shifting allegiances among American men—many of whom feel disconnected from both parties4.
Yesterday was Memorial Day and the Left does what it can to destroy it.
The Democrats come out with a new strategy to get more voters, but will it work.
And we need to talk about the issues around the world. I am a little concerned.
Time for Some International Stuff
Ukraine
Russia has made a huge attack on Ukraine using drone and missiles.
Russia has made territorial gains.
President Trump continues to cite that this is not his war but the was of Zelensky, Putin and Biden. This does not bode well.
Trump said he doesn’t understand what Putin is doing. He called him crazy. Actually, this is just what Putin does.
The European Union has given permission for Ukraine to bomb inside of Russia.
Putin is waiting for the United States to pull out so he can take over. It is unclear what the United States will do. The Trump administration has a lot of isolationists.
China
China is preparing a blockade of Taiwan.
They have been doing this for years, but now they are moving resources to positions that would allow this.
China has violated Taiwan’s airspace 250 times this year.
China is having major economic issues that has limited their internal growth and their ability to continue their Belt and Road project.
China is an aging country and is losing population thanks to their One Child Policy.
Their window of opportunity is closing.
Trump is showing weakness:
He keeps postponing the the banning of TikTok.
He has suspended the tariffs against China.
He is caving to Russia and Iran.
Speaking of Iran
Trump keeps promising there will be a deal on Iran’s nuclear weapon.
Trump also promises that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
On the other hand, Iran is saying they have not agreed to anything Trump is talking about.
On Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Minister bluntly stated that whether the despotic regime in Iran makes a nuclear deal with the United States or not, Iran will continue enriching uranium.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi claimed, “Special Interest groups; malign actors which set the agendas of at least previous Administrations,” should be ignored before adding, “we are ready for a serious conversation to achieve a solution that will forever ensure that outcome. Enrichment in Iran, however, will continue with or without a deal.”
Iran is stalling in these talks. They need to rebuild.
They have no navy
They have no air defense.
Their proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis) are decimated.
Their economy is an absolute mess.
Their population hates the Mullahs. They are on the verge of a revolution.
Trump is way to friendly with Qatar, Syria, and Turkey, all theocratic dictatorships.
How Does Trump Solve This Mess
Raise defense spending. It is currently at 3.5% to GDP. Double it.
Upgrade the air force.
Upgrade the Navy.
Start exploring defense from space.
Continue with the golden dome.
Bomb Iran’s nuclear facility.
Support Ukraine with stronger weapons.
Stop pissing on Zelensky. I don’t like him either, but he has fully complied.
Put heavy sanctions on Russia.
Create an American presence in the South China Sea.
Prepare a treaty with Taiwan.
Ban TikTok.
Put tariffs on China (and American companies producing in China). Get them to move to India or something).
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson On Sunday marked “Africa Day,” saying that the day was a “moment to celebrate the achievements of the people of Africa, the progress made by African nations, and the traditions and culture they have shared with us.”
Here is what he had to say:
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson chose to celebrate "Africa Day" on Memorial Day weekend.
— The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) May 26, 2025
The article continues:
Africa Day is celebrated in May 25 in places around the globe, marking the creation of the Organisation of African Unity, later named the African Union, which was created on May 25, 1963.
Africa Day was first held in 1963 in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, when 32 countries formed the Organization of African Unity (OAU), with 23 additional countries joining to form a body of 55 countries, now known as the African Union (AU).
This comes as the Trump administration has launched a probe into hiring practices by Johnson, who touted how many of the positions in his administration are held by black Americans. Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon wrote in a letter to Johnson “Our investigation is based on information suggesting that you have made hiring decisions solely on the basis of race.”
I believe it is time we start calling terrorism terrorism and start throwing people in prison. The violence is here.
Trump’s big, beautiful bill crosses a major milestone.
And California…just…California.
News
Here is some news:
Two Israeli Embassy staff members were shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on the evening of Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
The victims, identified as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, were a couple who were about to become engaged, according to Israeli officials421.
The attack occurred as they were leaving an event at the museum, which is located near the intersection of 3rd and F streets NW, close to an FBI field office652.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Illinois (other reports specify Chicago), approached a group of four people and opened fire, fatally wounding the two embassy staffers231.
After the shooting, Rodriguez entered the museum, where he was detained by security personnel and subsequently taken into police custody23.
While in custody, Rodriguez reportedly shouted “Free, free Palestine” and disclosed where he had disposed of the firearm, which was later recovered by authorities1235.
Two other Israeli Embassy employees were reportedly injured, but this has not been confirmed by all authorities5.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, several pro-Palestinian protesters—including recent graduates and alumni—burned and shredded their diplomas outside Columbia University following the school’s commencement ceremony. The demonstration was a response to Columbia’s perceived ties to Israel and to demand the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a former student detained by immigration authorities
Police intervened to extinguish the flames and restore order, resulting in at least one arrest according to the NYPD1356.
The protest escalated into confrontations with law enforcement, with demonstrators attempting to breach police barriers and officers issuing desk-appearance tickets for low-level offenses16.
The Israeli military has likely killed the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Mohammed Sinwar, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Sinwar took over leadership of the terror group in Gaza after Israel killed his brother, Yahya Sinwar, in October. Mohammed is believed to have been killed in one of hundreds of airstrikes that Israel’s air force carried out in Gaza over the weekend, according to the Israel National News.
Israel has launched a new military operation, “Operation Gideon’s Chariots.” The Israeli military said it struck over 670 Hamas targets in Gaza over the weekend, eliminating weapon storages and underground Hamas infrastructure, as well as killing dozens of terrorists.
Security Guards at the CIA’s headquarters in McLean, Virginia, shot and wounded a woman on Thursday morning after she failed to stop at the gate, CBS News reported.
The shooting came just hours after two Israeli Embassy staffers were murdered by a man shouting “Free Palestine” outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night.
The CIA headquarters in McLean is just over 12 miles northeast of the Capital Jewish Museum, but there is currently no evidence that the two shootings are related.
The Supreme Court on Thursday voted in a 4-4 vote to uphold the Oklahoma State Supreme Court’s decision in a landmark school choice case.
The state had ruled that providing state funds for a religious charter school violated the First Amendment.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett recused herself from the ruling, resulting in the 4-4 split.
President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” passed the House of Representatives early on Thursday morning with few Republican defections.
The bill passed 215 to 214 with just two Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, voting against it. All Democrats voted against the bill as well, and House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris, R-Md., voted “present.”
Some of the changes to the bill:
SALT deal stays
Medicaid work requirements moved up to Dec. 2026
Incentives for non-expansion states
Faster phase out of energy tax credits for wind, solar, and battery storage in 2028 w/ some exceptions
Changes to federal pension
Ditching the federal requirement that firearm suppressors must be registered
On May 16, 2025, an EF3 tornado with 150 mph winds struck St. Louis, killing at least five people, as part of a multistate disaster that claimed 17 lives in Kentucky and two in Virginia, per weather.com reports.
CEMA Commissioner Sarah Russell failed to activate St. Louis’ tornado sirens due to a communication breakdown with the Fire Department, leading to her placement on paid leave by Mayor Cara Spencer for an external investigation, according to stlouis-mo.gov.
The X post by Right Angle News Network highlights public outrage, linking Russell’s failure to her non-binary identity (they/them pronouns), reflecting broader societal tensions around DEI policies, as seen in a 2025 White House order terminating federal DEI programs.
Projected Gas Price Increases in California for 2025–2026
Recent analyses and multiple news reports indicate that California gas prices could rise dramatically over the next year, with estimates suggesting an increase of up to $0.68 per gallon—or more—by late 2025, and potentially much higher by 2026.
Key Factors Driving the Increase
Refinery Closures: Two major California refineries—Phillips 66 in Los Angeles (slated to close by the end of 2025) and Valero in Benicia (expected to close by April 2026)—are set to shut down. Together, these facilities produce about 20% of the state’s gasoline supply2346.
Refining Capacity Loss: The closures will reduce California’s refining capacity by approximately 21%, creating a significant supply shortfall that is not expected to be matched by a corresponding drop in demand134.
Supply Chain Challenges: California lacks incoming fuel pipelines and relies heavily on maritime imports, making it vulnerable to global disruptions and higher transportation costs156.
State Policies and Taxes: Expanding cap-and-trade costs, changes to the Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and high state excise and sales taxes are all contributing to higher prices146.
By late 2025, after the Phillips 66 closure, prices could jump to $6.43 per gallon—an increase of about $1.61 from the April 2025 average of $4.822346.
By the end of 2026, after both refineries close, prices could reach between $7.35 and $8.43 per gallon, representing a 75% increase over current rates123456.
Gas prices are currently averaging $3.12 a gallon, down from $3.30 a gallon in 2024. The all time high was $4.99 a gallon during Biden’s presidency in 2022.
The Trump administration is investigating the City of Chicago after Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson bragged about the number of black people he has hired.
The Justice Department informed Johnson on Monday of the probe just one day after he appeared at a church and suggested that he had staffed his administration based on race. In a letter, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon told Johnson that the investigation would examine whether the city violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits racial discrimination in employment.
Dhillon told Johnson the investigation was “based on information suggesting that you have made hiring decisions solely on the basis of race.”
In January 2024, the Arms Control Association noted that Iran had accelerated its production of uranium enriched to near-weapons grade levels, pointing out that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had estimated Iran was producing approximately nine kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent uranium-235 per month. “Accelerating the production of uranium enriched to 60 percent U-235 is concerning because the material can be quickly enriched to weapons-grade levels or 90 percent,” the Arms Control Association reported.
“Once you’re at 60, you’re 90% of the way there. You are, in essence, a threshold nuclear weapons state, which is what Iran basically has become,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Thursday.
Uranium enrichment involves increasing the concentration of the Uranium-235 (U-235) isotope in uranium, from its normal 0.7% to 3.5% for use in nuclear reactors or going further, over 20%, at which point it can be used for nuclear weapons.
And the Great Replacement Theory is in full effect. The Left isn’t even hiding the ball anymore. Let’s talk about it.
Why Are They Not Welcome?
Recent Refugee Arrivals from South Africa to the United States
Overview
In May 2025, the United States admitted the first group of white South Africans, primarily Afrikaners, as refugees under a new policy enacted by the Trump administration. This move marks a significant departure from previous U.S. refugee policy, which had largely halted admissions for most other groups fleeing war, famine, and persecution1054.
Who Are the Refugees?
The group consists of 49 to 59 white South Africans, mainly families and some young couples, who claim to have faced racial discrimination, violence, and job denials in South Africa due to their ethnicity1235911.
Afrikaners are descendants of Dutch settlers and were the ruling white minority during South Africa’s apartheid era113.
Their arrival was facilitated by a chartered flight from Johannesburg to Washington, D.C., with plans for resettlement in various U.S. states, including Iowa, Idaho, and New York910.
Policy Context and Process
President Trump issued an executive order in February 2025, directing the State Department to prioritize the resettlement of Afrikaners, citing “government-sponsored racial discrimination” and violence against white farmers in South Africa18910.
The refugee admission process for this group was expedited, taking only a few months, compared to the years-long process typical for other refugee groups3104.
This policy shift occurred while the Trump administration maintained a near-total suspension of refugee admissions from other countries, including those affected by war and famine, such as Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo357.
Controversy and Criticism
The South African government has strongly denied claims of systematic discrimination or “genocide” against white South Africans, calling the U.S. initiative “politically motivated” and a misrepresentation of the country’s internal affairs176.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed the narrative of white persecution as “completely false” and labeled those leaving as “cowards,” predicting they would eventually return167.
Human rights groups and refugee advocates have criticized the U.S. decision, noting the inconsistency of admitting white South Africans while excluding refugees from other crisis regions754.
NEW: Senator Tim Kaine looks like he's about to burst a blood vessel in his face after Secretary of State Marco Rubio suggests he's being racist.
Rubio: "The United States has a right to pick and choose who they allow in."
Thus, when you see the media refusing to report the truth about Austin Metcalf's murder or the murders of Boers in South Africa, know that it is doing so for the same reason: it wants that to happen there, and wants it to happen here
That would include the Episcopal church, which has just made its intentions pretty clear on the topic. Because the Trump administration dared to save white people from persecution, the Episcopal Church is now ending its long-standing partnership with the federal government to help resettle refugees. This is one of the most extraordinary “mask-off moments” you will ever see. These people have no problem resettling Somalians and Haitians and tens of thousands of other people who hate this country and want to abuse our charity. But the moment they’re asked to resettle white people, they completely shut down. Here’s the relevant portion of a letter from the leader of the Episcopal Church:
“Just over two weeks ago, the federal government informed Episcopal Migration Ministries that under the terms of our federal grant, we are expected to resettle white Afrikaners from South Africa whom the U.S. government has classified as refugees. In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step. Accordingly, we have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.”
"The white [South] Africans, are not originally from South Africa… They can go to where their native land is, which is probably Germany, or Holland."

Rep. Summer Lee Reintroduces Reparations Now Resolution
Overview
On May 15, 2025, Congresswoman Summer Lee (D-PA) led a coalition of progressive lawmakers and advocates in reintroducing the “Reparations Now Resolution” in the U.S. House of Representatives. This resolution calls on the federal government to provide reparations to descendants of enslaved Black Americans and aims to advance federal reparations, support ongoing reparatory justice efforts like H.R. 40, and build momentum for similar initiatives at state and local levels135.
Key Details of the Resolution
Scope and Purpose: The resolution urges the federal government to allocate trillions of dollars in reparations to address the historical and ongoing injustices stemming from chattel slavery, Jim Crow laws, and other federally sanctioned discriminatory practices356.
Support for H.R. 40: It backs H.R. 40, a longstanding bill that would establish a federal commission to study the impacts of slavery and systemic racism and recommend appropriate remedies, including reparations15.
Comprehensive Redress: The resolution emphasizes that reparations are not just financial compensation but must address a broad spectrum of harms, including disparities in wealth, education, health (notably Black maternal health), environmental justice, and more137.
Moral and Historical Framing: Lee and her colleagues frame reparations as a moral obligation and a debt owed by the nation, highlighting the economic and social foundations built on the exploitation of Black labor and lives135.
Background and Context
Previous Efforts: The Reparations Now Resolution was originally introduced in 2023 by former Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), who attended the 2025 press conference to support Lee’s renewed push356.
Historical Precedents: Advocates often cite historical examples such as General Sherman’s “40 acres and a mule” order (never implemented for Black Americans) and note that the U.S. has provided reparations in other contexts, including to Japanese Americans for wartime incarceration and to Holocaust survivors37.
Growing Local Momentum: Several states and cities, including Evanston, Illinois, California, and Maryland, have launched their own reparations initiatives, serving as models for federal action37.

Much Ado About Nothing
Overview of the “James Comey Rocks” Query
James Comey, the former FBI Director, has recently been at the center of controversy due to a social media post that sparked significant public and political reaction. The phrase “James Comey rocks” could be interpreted as support or admiration for Comey, but recent news coverage focuses almost entirely on the fallout from his now-deleted Instagram post involving seashells arranged as “86 47.”
The “86 47” Instagram Post and Its Fallout
Incident: Comey posted a photo of seashells on a beach arranged to spell “86 47” (or “8647”), captioned as a “cool shell formation on my beach walk”167.
Interpretation: The number “86” is slang for “to get rid of” or “eliminate,” and “47” refers to Donald Trump as the 47th president. Many Trump supporters and Republican figures interpreted this as a coded call to “eliminate” or assassinate Trump2345678.
Public and Political Response: The post was widely condemned by conservative politicians, Trump allies, and members of the White House, who called it a threat to the president. Homeland Security and the Secret Service launched investigations into the matter5678.
Comey’s Explanation: Comey deleted the post and issued a statement saying he was unaware of the violent connotation some people associate with “86.” He stated, “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down”567.
Ongoing Investigation: Comey has been interviewed by the Secret Service but was not detained. The investigation is ongoing, and any potential charges would be determined by the Attorney General3478.
Public Perception and Meme Culture
The incident quickly became a trending topic online, with jokes, memes, and shell formations spelling out various phrases circulating on social media1.
The phrase “James Comey rocks” does not appear in the news coverage as a widespread slogan or meme, but the controversy has certainly put Comey back in the spotlight, with both critics and supporters voicing strong opinions.
