Someone tried to break into JD Vance’s home. You’ll shocked when you hear about this guy.
Tim Walz has fallen from grace. How he got on top of the mountain of grace is the big question.
And California and Gavin Newsom have caught the eye of the Department of Justice. It’s about time.
The Violence Continues
According to Perplexity:
JD Vance’s Ohio home in Cincinnati was attacked by a man wielding a hammer who shattered multiple windows and damaged property while the vice president and his family were away in Washington, D.C. The suspect, identified as 26‑year‑old William (or William D.) Defoor/DeFoor of Cincinnati, was taken into custody at the scene and now faces both federal and local charges.
What happened
- Around just after midnight Monday, Secret Service agents at Vance’s Walnut Hills residence heard a loud commotion and found a man using a hammer to smash a window and attempt entry into the home.
- Before reaching the house, the suspect also struck a Secret Service vehicle, leaving marks and abrasions on the driver’s side window, according to a criminal complaint.
Damage and location
- The intruder allegedly broke multiple glass panels in three large historic front windows, with government‑owned security glass and features damaged at an estimated value exceeding 28,000 dollars.
- The house is a 19th‑century residence in Cincinnati’s Walnut Hills neighborhood, on hills overlooking the city, which has frequently drawn protesters during Vance’s vice presidency.
Charges and legal status
- Federally, Defoor/DeFoor is charged with damaging government property, committing acts of physical violence in a restricted area, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal officers.
- Locally, court records list misdemeanor counts including vandalism, criminal trespass, criminal damaging, and obstruction of official business, with an arraignment set in Hamilton County.
Suspect background and motive
- Public records and prior cases show Defoor has a history involving mental‑health court supervision in an earlier vandalism case, and his current counsel has suggested mental health issues rather than political motives drove the incident.
- Reporting also notes he is the transgender child of a Democratic donor and that he asked to be called “Julia,” details that conservative outlets have highlighted in political coverage of the case.
Vance’s response
Officials emphasize that neither Vance nor his family were in Ohio at the time; they were at their primary residence in Washington, D.C., and no injuries have been reported.
Vance stated on X that, “as far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows,” and he thanked the Secret Service and Cincinnati police for their fast response.

Bye-Bye
According to the the New York Times:
Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota said on Monday that he was abandoning his bid for re-election to a third term. And Senator Amy Klobuchar, a fellow Democrat, is considering seeking the office, two people briefed on conversations between the politicians said.
Mr. Walz and Ms. Klobuchar met on Sunday in Minnesota, where he informed her of his plans and she confirmed her interest in running to succeed him. For Mr. Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president in the 2024 election, the departure caps a brief rise in national politics.
Mr. Walz said a widening scandal over fraud in social services programs in Minnesota had persuaded him to drop out of the race. He had been criticized for his administration’s oversight of the programs and its failure to prevent widespread fraud.

It’s About Time
According to the Daily Wire:
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday morning that his administration launched a fraud investigation into California in the wake of the federal government’s Minnesota fraud probe.
Trump accused California under Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom of being worse than Minnesota when it comes to corruption. Minnesota, another Democrat-run state, that has come under the microscope in the past month over a welfare fraud scheme and allegations that Somali-run daycares have been inflating their enrollment numbers to receive more taxpayer funding.
“California, under Governor Gavin Newscum, is more corrupt than Minnesota, if that’s possible???” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The Fraud Investigation of California has begun. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The president did not specify what the fraud investigation would look into or which federal agency would lead it. A White House official told The Daily Wire that there was “nothing to add to the President’s post.” In a statement shared with The Daily Wire, Newsom’s office called Trump “a deranged, habitual liar.”
