Joe Biden Might be done. I’ll give you my thoughts.
More information comes out about the Trump assassination attempt.
And it doesn’t sound like any of this political violence is over yet.
It’s Not Over
According to the Daily Wire:
A man wearing a ski mask who was armed with an AK-47 was arrested near the Republican National Convention this week as he approached the perimeter of the event, police revealed in a statement Tuesday evening.
Homeland Security Investigators and Capitol Police were surveilling the area on Monday, which comes just days after former President Donald Trump was shot during an assassination attempt, when they noticed a suspicious man approaching, Fox News reported.
The man was carrying a tactical bag that had an AK-47 and ammunition inside, the report said. It’s not clear what he was planning to do.
“Milwaukee Police arrested a 21-year-old man for carrying a concealed weapon on July 15, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., on the 1200 block of N. 11th Street,” the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement. “United States Capitol Police initially observed the suspect looking suspicious, wearing a ski mask and a large tactical backpack in the street.”
“United States Capitol Police performed a subject stop, and it was determined that the suspect was concealing a firearm in his backpack,” the statement added. “The suspect does not have a legal CCW permit in Wisconsin or any other state. The suspect was arrested, and charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.”
Biden is Not Out of the Woods
According to the Post Millennial:
In an interview with the LA Times on Wednesday, Rep. Adam Schiff, who is running for the late Senator Dianne Feinstein’s seat, called for Biden to “pass the torch” and drop out of the presidential race.
Schiff told the outlet he had “serious concerns” over whether Biden could beat Trump come November, adding that despite this, Biden “has been one of the most consequential presidents in our nation’s history, and his lifetime of service as a Senator, a Vice President, and now as President has made our country better.”
“But our nation is at a crossroads,” he said. “A second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the President can defeat Donald Trump in November.”
He said that the “choice to withdraw from the campaign is President Biden’s alone,” but Schiff said he believed it’s time “to pass the torch” and “secure his legacy of leadership” by stepping aside. Schiff’s call for Biden to step down joins calls from other Democrat politicians and pundits for Biden to leave the race following his dismal debate performance.
Schiff said he would support whoever takes the Democratic nomination, including Biden, stating, “I will do everything I can to help them succeed. There is only one singular goal: defeating Donald Trump. The stakes are just too high.”

Is This Legal?
According to the Daily Wire:
President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to push major changes to the Supreme Court after years of lobbing attacks against the court and flouting its authority.
Biden is planning to endorse an effort to establish term limits for Supreme Court, as well as enact an enforceable code of ethics for justices, according to The Washington Post. The effort may include other changes, as well as a push for a constitutional amendment that would strike broad immunity for constitutional officeholders, such as Supreme Court justices, the president, and others.
The left flank of the Democratic Party has pressured the president to crack down on the Supreme Court for years, particularly after the court overturned Roe v. Wade and then recently ruled that presidents have immunity from prosecution for exercising core constitutional powers. Biden outlined his plans in a call over the weekend with the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
“I’m going to need your help on the Supreme Court, because I’m about to come out — I don’t want to prematurely announce it — but I’m about to come out with a major initiative on limiting the court … I’ve been working with constitutional scholars for the last three months, and I need some help,” Biden told the caucus, according to a transcript obtained by The Washington Post.
The feasibility of Biden’s proposed changes is unclear. The changes would likely need congressional approval, a dubious bet with Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, though only by a thin margin.
Sure, Keep Him!
According to the New York Post:
President Biden was handed a private note during a recent call with Democratic House lawmakers telling him to “stay positive” — and he read it out loud.
A staffer gave the 81-year-old president a note card with tips as he attempted to persuade members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus on Saturday that he was fit to serve and able to defeat former President Donald Trump on Election Day, the New York Times reported.
“Stay positive, you are sounding defensive,” Biden said on the call, seemingly reading directly from his staffer’s short missive.
One lawmaker told the New York Times that the moment represented how “stage-managed” calls between the president and lawmakers concerned about his re-election chances have seemed.
Biden has long been known to rely on note cards for press conferences, summits and private fundraisers, instructing him where to sit, what to do and who people are.
Still, the lawmaker also interpreted the moment as the president “poking fun at his aides” rather than accidentally reading the private memo.
Dumbass of the Day
They Are After Your Kids
According to the AP:
California became the first U.S. state to bar school districts from requiring staff to notify parents of their child’s gender identification change under a law signed Monday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The law bans school rules requiring teachers and other staff to disclose a student’s gender identity or sexual orientation to any other person without the child’s permission. Proponents of the legislation say it will help protect LGBTQ+ students who live in unwelcoming households. But opponents say it will hinder schools’ ability to be more transparent with parents.
The legislation comes amid a nationwide debate over local school districts and the rights of parents and LGBTQ+ students.
“This law helps keep children safe while protecting the critical role of parents,” Brandon Richards, a spokesperson for Newsom, said in a statement. “It protects the child-parent relationship by preventing politicians and school staff from inappropriately intervening in family matters and attempting to control if, when, and how families have deeply personal conversations.”
Actually, it does the opposite.
In other news concerning this subject, Elon Musk has had enough. He stated that he was taking Space X out of California.
