Another Big Win

According to the Daily Wire:

The Israel Defense Forces have killed a Rafah commander for Hamas who was instrumental in planning the murderous October 7 massacre of more than 1,200 Israelis.

“In a joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet forces, the fighters of the 401st Brigade identified a number of terrorist squads using drones, the forces directed Air Force aircraft that eliminated the terrorists. In the attack, the commander of the ‘Tel Sultan’ battalion, Mahmoud Hamdan, and three other company commanders from the battalion were killed,” the IDF tweeted.

The IDF added: “In the attack and other attacks, the chain of command of the Tel Sultan battalion was eliminated, as well as dozens of other terrorists from the battalion. The commander of the ‘Tel Sultan’ battalion, Mahmoud Hamdan, took a significant part in planning the raid into Israel on October 7 and promoted the preparation plan of the Rafah Brigade before the entry of IDF forces into the area. In addition, he initiated, led and planned dozens of terrorist plots against the IDF forces and the State of Israel.”

IT WAS HIS FAULT!!

According to ESPN:

A police officer is seeking reinstatement from administrative duty after his involvement in the Sunday detainment of Tyreek Hill, while the Miami Dolphins star’s agent has called for the officers in the incident to be fired.

Attorneys Ignacio Alvarez of ALGO Law Firm and Israel Reyes of The Reyes Law Firm, who are representing the Miami-Dade Police Department officer, issued a statement Monday calling for their client’s “immediate reinstatement.” They also referred to the decision to place their client on administrative duties as “premature,” although they “fully support” Miami-Dade PD director Stephanie Daniels’ call for a thorough review.

The attorneys did not identify the officer they are representing, but on Tuesday the Miami-Dade PD said the officer placed on administrative duties while the Internal Affairs investigation is ongoing is Danny Torres, who has a 27-year tenure.

Neither Alvarez nor Reyes immediately responded when asked whether their statement was crafted before or after the body camera footage from the incident was made public Monday.

“We urge all parties to refrain from making public statements that may misrepresent our client’s actions and mislead the public about Mr. Hill’s detainment,” Alvarez said in the statement.

During an appearance on “The Dan Le Batard Show,” Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, expressed his disgust for the officers’ treatment of his client.

“For me, personally, I believe the police officers that did that to Tyreek shouldn’t be in that position — they should be let go,” Rosenhaus said. “Look at the guy who kicked him — that guy should be fired. That’s out of control. The guy that jumped in and put him in a chokehold? There’s no place for a police officer to have a badge that operates like that, when Tyreek wasn’t being aggressive or violent or fighting back in any capacity.

“That was horrendous how they treated him. They didn’t treat him like a human being.”

Rosenhaus stopped short of saying Hill agreed with his stance but added that he would have a discussion with Hill and his attorney, Julius Collins.

Hill was pulled over on suspicion of speeding while driving to Hard Rock Stadium, roughly three hours before the Dolphins’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The South Florida Police Benevolent Association, the police union that works with the Miami-Dade PD, released a statement Monday afternoon saying Hill was “uncooperative” with the responding officers, leading to an escalation of the situation.

Hill received citations for careless driving and a seat belt violation. Hill was cited for allegedly speeding at a “visual estimation of 60 mph,” according to his citation.

Expect More of This

According to the Daily Wire:

The Department of Justice (DOJ) charged an illegal immigrant from Guatemala for illegally voting in American elections and stealing the identity of an American citizen.

The Justice Department brought the charges against Angelica Maria Francisco, a 42-year old Guatemalan national illegally residing in Alabama, after it was found that she illegally voted in both the 2016 and 2020 primary and general elections despite not being an American citizen.

The DOJ stated in a press release that Francisco was charged with “false claims of citizenship in connection with voting, false statements in application for a United States passport, use of a United States passport obtained by false statements, and aggravated identity theft.” Francisco has agreed to plead guilty to all charges.

The plea agreement reveals that the Guatemalan national illegally assumed the identity of an American citizen in about 2011 before using that identity to illegally procure a passport and register to vote.

Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money!

According to Fox News:

New York City launched a pilot program to help migrants transition out of city shelters by providing them with $4000 for permanent housing, a city official confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday.

The NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) offered 150 families cash assistance through the Asylee Moveout Assistance (AMA), a pilot created in December last year to help find permanent housing for asylum seekers. The pilot was launched in partnership with some city shelters providing services for asylum seekers.

“The city is using every tool at its disposal to implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to help recently-arrived asylum seekers residing in shelters take the next steps in their journey,” a Department of Social Services (DSS) spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

DHS officials in December started dispensing $4000 to 150 households who live in the city’s emergency DHS shelters.

“Since December, DSS has been working with a few not-for-profit providers operating emergency sites to pilot a new effort to reduce barriers to obtaining housing by helping asylum-seeking families who have identified permanent housing with the upfront cost of moving into their new home,” the DSS spokesperson said.

“150 households have benefitted from this pilot over the last seven months, and we look forward to supporting more households as we assess the success of the pilot and feasibility of scaling up and expanding access to this form of assistance,” the statement from DSS reads further.

Eligibility for the $4000 grant is solely limited to asylum-seeking families and pregnant women who are residing in select DHS emergency shelters and have already identified permanent housing.

People Are Sick of It

According to the Daily Wire:

Residents of Springfield, Ohio, are voicing their outrage after the sudden influx of Haitian immigrants has sparked numerous social issues, overwhelmed services, and worsened the housing crisis.

Up to 20,000Haitian immigrants have moved to Springfield in the last few years, according to the city’s mayor. The last available Census data shows the city with a population of 58,000 people — meaning the sudden influx was about a third of the town’s population.

Later in the article:

Notably, Springfield residents’ anger bubbled over last August when a Haitian immigrant crossed over the center dividing line and crashed into a school bus. An 11-year-old boy was killed, and more than 20 children were taken to the hospital. The migrant did not have a valid driver’s license and is facing 9 years behind bars for involuntary manslaughter.

The influx has also worsened the housing crisis, so much so that American citizens in Springfield are actually being displaced from their homes. A New York Times report outlined how Haitian migrants, who are generally on government assistance, are paying up to $3,000 a month in rent. Residents who can’t afford to pay that much have been pushed out.

Senator JD Vance, Trump’s VP pick, pressed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell about this issue, specifically citing Springfield’s troubles. Powell claimed migrants actually help quell inflation.

Why Springfield

Citing the current turmoil in Haiti, the Biden-Harris administration in June gave 300,000 Haitians temporary legal status, which lasts until at least February 2026. This allows these migrants to remain and work in the U.S. until then, and possibly beyond. This was awarded to any Haitian in the U.S. who was here before or on June 3.

The increase is also due to the administration launching a controversial border app, CBP One, which allows migrants to apply for asylum right on their phones. Additionally, Biden began allowing up to 30,000 migrants per month from Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to fly directly into the U.S. for two years if they have financial sponsors.

As for Springfield, specifically, City Manager Bryan Heck said the town attracted migrants because of its affordable housing and job openings. The city was in turmoil for years, but had a turnaround when manufacturing picked up.

Notably, numerous residents have said they witnessed “buses” of these migrants being dropped off at gas stations and laundromats.

Citizens are also seeing three-fold increases in health care wait times, schools are overwhelmed with students, and hundreds of thousands of dollars are being spent on translators.
