Episode 422 – Probably Too Soon

A potential assassin gets released.

There appears another mess is brewing in the Middle East.

And what is wrong with those people in New York.

 

Probably Too Soon

John Hinckley Jr., the man who attempted to assassinate former President Ronald Reagan in 1981, won unconditional release from his state-mandated supervision on Monday.

The deal was made by the DOJ and Hinkley’s attorney,  Barry Levine and was approved by a judge.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kacie Weston agreed to the deal with one provision. Hinckley should be monitored for nine more months because he had not lived on his own in four decades and because one of his primary doctors is retiring.

This was the second time the DOJ was asked to release Hinkley. A few months ago, the DOJ denied letting him go. Now, after three different reviews, they finally found he is able to go free though he must go through nine months of observation so he can get used to living in the world today.

He does have some limits.

  • He cannot contact any of the families of the victims.
  • He cannot contact Jodie Foster.
  • He cannot own a gun.

You might remember, if you’re as old as I am, that Hinkley tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan in 1981. He shot Reagan, who almost died, Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy, Washington police Officer Thomas Delahanty and Reagan press secretary James Brady, who ended up paralyzed.

He pleaded not guilty for reason of insanity, claiming that he was trying to impress movie star, Jodie Foster, who he became obsessed with after watching the movie Taxi Driver. He was found not guilty and was sent to a mental institution for the past 40 years.

He is 66 years old.

There are Some Pretty Important Stuff Happening

The Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, has failed to honor a key agreement that it reached with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) just a couple of weeks ago.

The deal reached between the two sides would allow the IAEA’s inspectors to service damaged monitoring equipment at one of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The Agency stated:

The (IAEA) Director General (Rafael Grossi) stresses that Iran’s decision not to allow agency access to the TESA Karaj centrifuge component manufacturing workshop is contrary to the agreed terms of the joint statement issued on 12 September. …

Iran from 20–22 September permitted IAEA inspectors to service identified agency monitoring and surveillance equipment and to replace storage media at all necessary locations in Iran with the exception of the centrifuge component manufacturing workshop at the TESA Karaj complex.

This is happening while Iran is gaining the ability to create enough nuclear material to create a nuclear weapon. Don’t forget, Iran is constantly threatening Israel, wanting to wipe Israel off the map. Israel has promised that they would not allow Iran to create a nuclear weapon. In the past six months, there have been multiple “accidents” against nuclear facilities, energy production facilities and military ships. Though many were marked as accidents, Iran has accused Israel of sabotage. Israel never denied anything.

Israeli Prime Minister, Benny Gantz, said that the issue of Iran getting a nuclear weapon is becoming more serious. In August, Gantz said, ““only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon.”

On September 13th, the New York Times reported:

“Experts studying new data contained in reports last week by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations’ atomic inspection group, say that by enriching nuclear fuel in recent months to near bomb-grade levels, Tehran has gained the capability to produce the fuel needed for a single nuclear warhead within a month or so, … A report issued on Monday by the Institute for Science and International Security, a private group that specializes in analyzing the findings of the United Nations agency, concludes that a race over the summer to enrich uranium at 60 percent purity — just below bomb grade — has put Iran in a position to produce the fuel for a single bomb in ‘as short as one month.’”

So much for bringing Iran into the world community. Iran lies and cannot be trusted. The Obama and, now, the Biden strategy for Iran has failed, more than once. It is going to be up to Israel to deal with it because their survival as a state depends on it. And now, with Biden’s weakness in Afghanistan, Iran is becoming more emboldened.

This is dangerous stuff. Iran is already giving weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah. Is it really hard to believe they would give a dirty bomb or a nuclear weapon to those groups to attack Israel? No, of course not. Be prepared for a bunch of secret missions aimed at the nuclear facilities from Israel and America does nothing but bitch and moan about Israel.

This is Insane

Did you think New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was bad? Enter The New York Governor, Kathy Hochul. I want you to listen to this clip that is flying around the Internet right now. It is very disturbing:

Couple of things:

  • So if you don’t want to take the vaccine, you don’t believe in God. In fact, you’re defying God.
  • She wears her vaccine tag like a Christian wears a cross. She has made the vaccine into a religious symbol.
  • By the way, this is blasphemous. “Thou shall not commit idolatry.”
  • Again, if you’re not vaccinated, you’re stupid. Great way to convince people.
  • I just want to point out Joe Biden took his booster on television yesterday…while wearing a mask. Great messaging.
  • “Be my apostles”? Is she seriously comparing herself to Jesus Christ?
  • And, if we don’t want the vaccine, we don’t love our families and friends?
  • And, there it is, we need to fight racism and we can’t until all bend the knee and take the vaccine.

This is crazy crap and it shows a lot about this woman and the Left. By the way, I have a real hard time buying any comment about God and Jesus from a woman who thinks we should be able to kill a baby up to the moment of birth. I’m pretty sure Jesus said, “Blessed are the children.”

But her insanity continues today. Seriously, how do these people actually get elected? She has now thrown down a vaccine mandate that is the strictest in the country:

Couple of things:

  • This is tyrannical.
  • Do what I say or lose your job.
  • Weren’t healthcare workers heroes just a few months ago?
  • Didn’t they work in the hospitals for a year without a vaccine available and they were hailed for it?
  • Isn’t it New York that was bitching that their hospitals were at capacity and they had a healthcare worker shortage?

This is coming to other blue states. Wait until Gavin Newsom of California, who is emboldened by winning his recall election, tries to meet this insanity. It’s going to happen.

What’s going to need to happen is what is happening in New York City: people protesting. A question that is being asked by Conservatives is, because BLM is now against vaccine mandates and passports, are we going to see riots soon and is that a bad thing?

I don’t know.
