Episode 431 – Rest in Peace, General

Pete Buttigieg is trying to show us that his position is useless and proves it.

Not having toilet paper, paper towels and Christmas presents in part of Biden’s grand plan.

And Rest in Peace to an American Hero.

Rest in Peace

General Colin Powell, the first black Secretary of State who served under three Republican presidents before endorsing former President Barack Obama twice, announced the 84-year-old former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff had died “due to complications from Covid-19.”

The statement released by the family stated:

General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff passed away this morning due to complications from Covid 19. He was fully vaccinated. We want to thank the medical staff at Walter Reed National Medical Center for their caring treatment. We have lost a remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather, and a great American.

Some information about his life:

  • Powell was born in Harlem in 1937, the son of Jamaican immigrants.
  • He served two tours in Vietnam while serving in the Army.
  • 1968 as assistant chief of staff of operations for the 23rd Infantry Division.
  • Became senior military assistant to Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger during the Reagan Administration.
  • In 1987, he served as United States Deputy National Security Advisor, then Reagan’s last National Security Advisor.
  • He was promoted to four-star general Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
  • Powell was urged by the Bush White House to help convince other nations to join in the invasion of Iraq, which he did successfully, but later regretted it, resigning soon after Bush’s reelection in 2004.
  • He won the Medal of Freedom twice.
  • He wrote a book called It Worked for Me: In Life and Leadership.

This Is What Happens With A Real Military

According to some military intelligence people, China has tested a nuclear-capable, hypersonic missile. These are missiles can travel at over 21,000 miles an hour, can travel around the world and accurately hit a target. These intelligence officers say the government is very surprised by the technology and speed in which the Chinese created this weapon.

When confronted about it, China issued a statement that this was not a missile but a space vehicle.

A few things about this:

  • This is probably going to start a new arms race. We are already in a cold war with China.
  • I don’t believe anything China says or does so I’m going to assume that they did test a missile.
  • China’s aggression has to be taken serious. We must get off this woke crap and begin to see China as an enemy.

This was the White House’s response:

Some things:

  • You welcome “stiff competition”?
  • This isn’t an f-ing baseball game!
  • Our cities can be blown up and we can’t stop it. I think that’s something to think about.

What is our military doing? What is this administration thinking about?

What Good Is He?

So, we have a huge supply chain problem the is affecting everything right now. Shelves are empty at the stores. Inflation is running rampant. Ships off both coasts are sitting off both coasts, loaded with stuff, unable to dock because there are no workers to get the stuff off the ship and drive them to the stores.

It’s a mess. Sounds like something the Secretary of Transportation should be dealing with, right? That’s Pete Buttigieg by the way. You know, the mayor of a small city in Indiana. Tons of experience.

Anyway, people have asked where he is. It turns out that he has been on paternity since August. That’s right, this gay man who is married to another man has decided to have twins and he has been on paid leave (his salary is paid by tax payers) during the worst supply chain crisis in decades.

And this is what he was hired for.

A couple of things:

  • Three months of paternity? Really?
    • Children do not need bonding time with fathers for the first year.
    • They bond with the mothers (breast feeding). Of course, that’s not a thing here.
  • I never had paternity time. I was off for maybe two weeks just to help my ex-wife recover.
  • I had to use vacation time. I wasn’t given money by the government.
  • By the way, what use is Pete if he is missing and no one notices? Maybe it’s time to get rid of his position. Obviously, it’s not that important.

That’s Not Really the Story

So Pete has decided to justify his existence. He decided to hop on a couple of shows on CNN and talk about the supply chain crisis. I bet he wished he had just stayed home after these interviews.

First, he got caught saying the quiet part out loud. This could not be part of the plan:

Some things:

  • If we have so much throughput, why are we experience shortages that will go on to next year?
  • If this situation is so serious, why was he taking three months off? Isn’t that his job?
  • The Southwest thing is just a flat out lie.
    • No other airline had a weather problem. Only Southwest.
    • The CEO admitted the vax mandate was causing people not go to work. Not the weather.
  • Notice, he says it’s the weather in Florida. Next, it will be Ron Desantis’ fault.

But this next clip really shows the new narrative that the Biden administration is pushing. The above clip did touch on it but this one really puts it on the map:

Some things:

  • What are those steps, by the way?
  • This is a sign of Joe Biden’s success? No presents for Christmas and massive inflation are signs of success?
  • Yep. This is going to be the new talking point. Don’t believe your lying eyes or shrinking bank account.

Jen Psaki said it too. Here she is on CNN, with Jake Tapper, saying the same thing:

Some things:

  • Yes, that’s what the tweet said.
  • This is tone deaf.
  • A year and a half ago, the unemployment rate was a full percent lower (3.5%) before the pandemic.
  • 3.9 million people have left the workforce this year. That’s why the unemployment rate is down. Not because of great economic policies.
  • Again, she’s lying. Economists have said this inflation is not transitory and that some of it might be permanent.
  • This is a good thing. It’s per the President’s plan.

These people are lying and they are being called out.
