Episode 836 – The Truth Is Out There…At the Mall? Part 2

The truth is out there. Apparently it is at the Bayside Mall in Miami.

And California is a crap-hole. I have some more evidence!

Welcome to 2024!

This is such a dumb story, I wouldn’t even bring it up. But this happened to be the big story on social media and I thought this might be worth talking about.

The story goes a bunch of teens at a mall in Miami decided to get together on New Years evening. They started getting a little rowdy. They started shooting fireworks at the patrons and looting the stores. The police got word there was an active shooter at the mall and everyone deployed. It was a huge police presence. No one was killed or anything like that and the riot was disbursed.

That’s not the story. That’s what was reported. But why would you listen to what seems to be a reasonable story on the news when you have TikTok. Let’s listen to the version of the story that has everyone’s panties in a bunch for the last seven days on social media!

Here’s another one:

We really need eyewitness testimony to confirm the alien invasion at the mall. Here’s a guy who was actually there and saw it:

The police finally had to release a statement. (This cop looks like he’s laughing his ass off). Let’s listen:

Really? Does this guy expect us to believe him? He’s the Man. He’s part of the system. He’s part of the big lie. The coverup. The TikTok folk know what’s going on.

Listen folks, the truth is out there. It’s at the Bayside Mall in Miami.

A Waste of Court Time

According to Fox News:

Vin Diesel, Tommy Lee, Jermaine Jackson and others were hit with sexual abuse lawsuits brought under a California law aimed at accountability.

Each lawsuit was brought under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, which won’t expire until Dec. 31, 2026.

The law allows victims to revive claims that would otherwise be barred from the legal process due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

“The purpose is to give alleged victims a second bite at the apple, with an opportunity to pursue claims that they were not in a position to pursue or failed to pursue before the legal timeline for doing so expired,” Ethan Krasnoo, Partner at Reavis Page Jump LLP, explained to Fox News Digital.

Sexual assault and abuse are two of the most underreported crimes,” personal injury lawyer and former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told Fox News Digital. “Victims can feel ashamed and may not want to relive their trauma at a very public trial. They may also feel that the public and a jury won’t believe them if it’s a ‘he said, she said’ situation.

“But the pressure of filing a lawsuit or losing the opportunity altogether can motivate victims to contact a lawyer. And once a perpetrator has been named, that can empower other victims to come forward. That’s what #MeToo was all about.”

Be Carful What You Wish For

According to the Post Millennial:

It has been revealed that sex changes and hormone therapy will be included in the healthcare coverage offered to illegal immigrants in California. As of January 1, everyone, regardless of whether they entered the country via legal means, will qualify for Medi-Cal, the state‘s public health insurance program. This program had typically been reserved for low-income individuals, families with children, seniors, persons with disabilities, people in foster care, pregnant women, and low-income people with diseases such as tuberculosis, cancer, or HIV/AIDS.

Prior to the new rules, illegal immigrants were only able to access emergency and pregnancy-related care, however surgical and non-surgical procedures that “bring primary and secondary gender characteristics into conformity with the individual’s identified gender, including ancillary services, such as hair removal” are now covered as well.

According to the Daily Caller, a state memo regarding Medi-Cal stipulated that “gender-affirming care” is a covered benefit only “when medically necessary.”

“Requests for gender-affirming care,” it added, “should be from specialists experienced in providing culturally competent care to transgender and gender diverse individuals and should use nationally recognized guidelines.”

The decision to include illegal immigrants in Medi-Cal was made in May of last year. State Sen. Maria Elena Durazo called it a “historic investment” that “speaks to California’s commitment to health care as a human right.”

“In California, we believe everyone deserves access to quality, affordable health care coverage – regardless of income or immigration status,” Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office said in a statement to ABC News at the time. “Through this expansion, we’re making sure families and communities across California are healthier, stronger, and able to get the care they need when they need it.”

Why Is This a Bad Thing?

According to Page Six:

Taylor Swift’s camp is reportedly fuming after the New York Times published an opinion piece earlier this week speculating about the Grammy winner’s sexuality.

“There seems to be no boundary some journalists won’t cross when writing about Taylor, regardless of how invasive, untrue, and inappropriate it is – all under the protective veil of an ‘opinion piece,’” a source told CNN Business Saturday.

“Because of her massive success, in this moment there is a Taylor-shaped hole in people’s ethics,” they added.

The insider emphasized that the Times op-ed — which proposes Swift has been dropping hints about being queer throughout her career — would not “have been allowed to be written about Shawn Mendes or any male artist whose sexuality has been questioned by fans.”

The lengthy op-ed, published Thursday, compiles a laundry list of what the writer labels as “evidence” that allegedly proves the “Blank Space” singer is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Anna Marks suggests Swift “dropped hairpins,” a slang term for letting others know you are queer, by dying her hair the colors of the bisexual flag in her music video “You Need To Calm Down,” for instance.

“In isolation, a single dropped hairpin is perhaps meaningless or accidental, but considered together, they’re the unfurling of a ballerina bun after a long performance,” the author writes.

“Those dropped hairpins began to appear in Ms. Swift’s artistry long before queer identity was undeniably marketable to mainstream America. They suggest to queer people that she is one of us.”

Enough Already

According to Fox News:

Indoor mask requirements have been reinstated at all New York City public hospitals amid a rise in respiratory viruses including COVID-19 and flu.

The mandate extends to the 11 hospitals, 30 health centers and five long-term care facilities run by NYC Health + Hospitals.

The city’s health commissioner, Dr. Ashwin Vasan, said Wednesday masks will only be required in areas where patients are being treated, according to local ABC News affiliate ABC 7 NY.

Vasan said hospitals have been handling the recent rise in patients well and none are currently overwhelmed, but that the mandate will help protect staff from getting sick.

Data from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene shows the seven-day average of COVID-19 hospitalizations has declined from 106 on Dec. 20 to 50 on Dec. 25, although this may be due to reporting delays over the holidays.

Some things:

  • There are 14 million people in New York states and 8 million in New York City.
  • Infections put 2400 people in the hospital in the state, 696 in the city.
  • Mind you, this is also flu.
  • That’s less than 1/2 percent of people being put into the hospital.
