The way is paved for Donald Trump to go to the Supreme Court to get these charges thrown out.
The border crisis is becoming so bad that Elon Musk is speaking out about it.
And country music loses a legend.

Dumbass of the Day
They Created This
According to Fox News:
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg reacted to the recent attack on New York police officers by a group of migrants in the Big Apple, calling the acts of violence “heinous.”
New York Police Department (NYPD) officers were patrolling Times Square on Jan. 27, when they encountered the group of migrants. The video shows police asking the men to move along.
The footage then showed the two officers holding a person in a yellow jacket down in an attempt to subdue them. The group of suspects were seen kicking the officers before running away.
Darwin Andres Gomez, 19, Kelvin Servita Arocha, 19, Wilson Juarez, 21, and Yorman Reveron, 24, have been identified as the suspects.
Also arrested for the attack were Jhoan Boada, 22, Jandry Barros, 21, and Yohenry Brito, 24.
The article continues:
Gomez, Arocha, Juarez and Reveron were reportedly charged with assault and released without bail.
A law enforcement source told the New York Post that the group recently fled to California after giving fake names to a nonprofit group that transports migrants, and that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol have since issued warrants for the men.
Brito remains in jail, while Boada, who is also being sought, and Barros were released without bail.
Why Does Anyone Live in New York?
According to the New York Post:
Mayor Eric Adams’ administration will soon start handing out pre-paid credit cards to migrant families being put up in Big Apple hotels, The Post has learned.
The $53 million pilot program, run by the New Jersey company Mobility Capital Finance, will provide asylum seekers arriving at the Roosevelt Hotel with the city cash to help them buy food, according to city records.
It’ll start with a group of 500 migrant families in short-term hotel stays and will replace the current food service offered there, according to City Hall.
The cards can only be used at bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets and convenience stores — and migrants must sign an affidavit swearing they will only spend the funds on food and baby supplies or they will be kicked out of the program.
The Immediate Response Card initiative appears akin to the state’s food stamp program, dubbed SNAP, which provides lower-income New Yorkers with a credit card to cover the cost of meals, and will provide funds based on the same scale.
The amount on each card will vary depending on the size of the family and whether any income is coming in, according to the details of the contract. A family of four, for instance, could be provided nearly $1,000 each month, which comes out to $35 per day for food. Cards will get refilled every 28 days.

What Does Elon Think
According to the New York Post:
Elon Musk has wildly claimed the Biden administration is looking the other way as thousands of migrants illegally stream across the border because it wants to stack Democratic voter rolls before Election Day.
The controversial Tesla founder took to his social media site X over the weekend with a “bet-you-didn’t-know” post accusing the White House of the migrant-turned-voter scam as Biden gears up for an expected nail-biter between himself and Donald Trump in November.
“Homeland Security Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas issued written guidance making it clear that: Illegal presence alone is not grounds for deportation,” the tech tycoon wrote.
“Criminal charges, convictions or gang membership alone are not enough for deportation,” he said. “You basically have to be a convicted axe murderer to be deported!
“That’s because every deportation is a lost vote,” Musk added. “They are importing as many votes as possible before the elections.”
Despite Musk’s claims, federal law does not allow noncitizens to vote in national elections — and for the new migrants to become US citizens, it would likely take years.
Noncitizens also are barred from casting ballots in state elections, although some municipalities allow voting at the local level. New York City does not allow noncitizens to vote.
Eric Kuhn, the head of Neighbors, said in the announcement that law enforcement agencies will still be able to make public posts in the Neighbors app. Police and other agencies can also still use the app to “share helpful safety tips, updates, and community events,” Kuhn said.
The update is the latest restriction Ring has made to police activity on the Neighbors app following concerns raised by privacy watchdogs about the company’s relationship with police departments across the country.
Critics have stressed the proliferation of these relationships – and users’ ability to report what they see as suspicious behavior – can change neighborhoods into a place of constant surveillance and lead to more instances of racial profiling.
According to the Daily Mail:
Iconic Australian surf brand Rip Curl has come under fire after featuring a transgender boarder in a campaign to promote women’s surfing.
Sasha Lowerson, 44, featured on the Rip Curl Women Instagram page on Thursday as part of the company’s Meet The Local Heroes of Western Australia campaign.
It comes just months after Rip Curl dropped former brand ambassador Bethany Hamilton – one of the world’s most famous surfers – reportedly over her opposition to transgender people competing in women’s sport.
Ms Hamilton, who lost her left arm in a 2003 shark attack but returned to professional surfing, threatened to boycott the World Surf League in February last year after a ruling allowing trans athletes to compete in women’s competitions.
Rip Curl is just the latest Aussie brand draw the ire of fans over gender issues, after Seafolly was slammed last year for working with non-binary influencer Deni Todorovič and Moana Bikini featured a male model in a swimsuit this week.
Ms Lowerson, a professional surfer, first appeared in a Rip Curl social media post in August last year where she detailed how surfing in WA had shaped her life.
