Abortion

Episode 406 – Let’s Bring a Little Culture

Biden makes a speech and it was a hell of an acting job.

And enough about Afghanistan. What’s happening here?

Biden’s Speech

One word: Terrible.

It looked like someone wrote his speech, gave him a shot of meth then pushed him toward the podium.

  • He was yelling. I think he was trying to show how strong he is but it could also be because he was trying to wake reporters up because he was a half hour late.
  • He said this whole thing was a success. Are you kidding?!
  • He inflated the numbers of people he got out of Afghanistan.
  • He said this was the greatest airlift is history, comparing it to the Berlin airlift. Looked more like the Saigon airlift.
  • He said it was a huge success but blamed Trump (twice), the Afghan government and the Afghan military and the people who are stuck in Afghanistan. But the buck stops with him. See the contradiction?
  • He threatened all those who are terrorists and planning terror attacks. Not sure what he’s going to do about it but whatever. It’s talk.
  • Finally, he talked abut his dead son. I’m sorry, but this is disgusting. His son died of brain cancer when he was 46. A twenty-year-old soldier dying from a terrorist attack while being stationed in a war zone that Old Joe crreated. This is a cynical, pathetic attempt to appear empathetic and gain some sympathy.
  • When he finished, he took no questions, turned and couldn’t find his way to the exit.

There was no mention:

  • Bribing the Taliban to get our people back.
  • The executions of the Taliban.
  • The military stuff the left behind.
  • The fact that the Taliban is flying the helicopters are being flown by the Taliban.
  • The fact they are hanging people from our helicopters.
  • Nothing about the dozens of military support dogs we left behind.

But it was Trump’s fault.

It was a bad speech. The stronger he tries to look, the weaker he looks.

F- Him

According to the Wall Street Journal, Joe Biden has decided to abandon an Afghan ally, a man widely embraced by the U.S. military. OK, so? Isn’t he doing that with a lot of people?

Yes, he is. But this guy saved Biden’s life while he was in Afghanistan in 2008.

Biden was in Afghanistan with two other Senators: John Kerry and Chuck Hagel. They were on a helicopter in an area of Afghanistan that wasn’t Taliban controlled but was still dangerous. They we hit by a snow storm and the helicopters had to land. They called a U.S. base and a man named Mohammod joined the soldiers to get them out. Mohammod, whose name was kept quiet because the Taliban is hunting for them, joined the soldiers on the two hour, twenty mile trip.

Now, this is a really trusted guy. He’s been on hundreds of trips with our military and was even given a weapon when they might get into a scrap. There are many soldiers that know the guy and are begging Biden to get him out.

Crickets.

Mohammod sent a message to Joe Biden. He’s is currently in hiding from the Taliban with his family.

He said:

“Hello Mr. President: Save me and my family. Don’t forget me here. I can’t leave my house. I’m very scared.”

Biden has yet to comment about it. Jen Psaki said:

“We will get you out. We will honor your service.”

I won’t hold me breath.

Chipping Away

Texas passed one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country earlier this year. Basically, the law states that an abortion would be illegal after a heartbeat can be detected. A baby’s heartbeat can be detected at about six weeks. If a doctor commits and abortion, he can be sued and given a $10,000 fine plus have to pay the legal fees of the plantive. There is no legal action against to woman who has the abortion.

A lower federal ruled the law was Constitutional and could move forward. An appeals court and the Supreme Court refused to listen to the case. Today, the law goes into affect.

Now, you know what I think about abortion. I’ll give you a review in case you missed the thirty podcasts I had talking about it: It’s murder. Morally it’s murder. Philosophically it’s murder. Scientifically it’s murder. Roe vs. Wade is a garbage ruling and should be overturned. I have debated this about a thousand times and have never lost the debate.

But that’s not what’s great about this law and what anti-abortion states need to do.

The problem with the other laws that might have issues with the appeallet courts is that they make abortion criminal. This law makes abortion civil which is why the courts wouldn’t hear it.

Abortion is not going to be eliminated in this country. That’s because it is too ingrained into society like slavery was. But it can be chipped away until it becomes the moral abomination that it is, just like slavery. Laws like these are how we’re going to do it.

The Left, of course is flipping out.

Nancy Pelosi said:

Here that? It’s a catastrophe that more kids are born.

What? Again?

Need to wipe your butt? Use one less sheet.

We are now in a toilet paper and paper towel shortage. I thought this was a joke until I went to Walmart and Costco. Costco was out of paper towels and Walmart only allowed the purchase of two packs per family.

Now, I live alone. I have one pack of toilet paper and one pack of paper towels. I’m good for six months. Unless Josie comes over. She uses a lot of toilet paper.

Here’s what happened:

  • Before the pandemic, supply and demand was normal.
  • When the pandemic hit, people overbought paper towels and toilet paper because they thought the world was ending.
  • The manufaturers produced more and more to keep up with demand.
  • Eventually, people had their fill of toilet paper and stopped buying.
  • Companies, overbuying toilet paper, had huge inventories that weren’t moving.
  • Manufactuerers slowed production of toilet paper, below pre-pandemic levels because they didn’t want to have high inventories.
  • People began to run out of their stocks of toilet paper and the delta variant of the China virus popped back up.
  • Stores started running out and ordered more to keep up with demand.
  • Manufacterers now have to run 24/7 to keep up with demand.

Pretty neat how the free market works.

The reason I was interested in this story is because it shows the delicate balance between supply and demand. The manufacturers and stores have to be careful not to get stuck with huge inventories but that’s depended on the customers. The pandemic put supply and demand in chaos and, as we see in this story, it could be a couple of years before the toilet paper industry stablizes. I know that sounds stupid but, when you go to Costco and can only buy one bag, remember that’s why.

It also explains why our gas is going up. Remember, Biden didn’t want to produce oil in this country anymore (prices go up) but OPEC isn’t producing as much oil because of the pandemic and they don’t want to get stuck with a lot of inventory. When Joe Biden asks OPEC to produce more oil so he can keep prices stable, they say no. That’s because they have to keep that balance or oil prices will go sky high or crash.

Running is Racist

The Boston Athletics Assocoiation has had to apologize because they scheduled the Boston Marathon on October 10. That happens to be Indigeious People’s Day.

The directors said they would celebrate Indigenious Peoples Day with a bunch of ceremonies before the race. There’s no way they can cancel this race this close to race day.

Normally, the race is help on Patriot’s day, which this year is October 18th. I’m not sure why they changed the race date and it wasn’t mentioned in the article. Probably because the race directors for the Boston Marathon were all white and racist.

Let’s talk a little about Indigenious Peoples Day…it’s BS.

This was a holiday that was started in Berkley, Californiain 1992 by a bunch of politically correct college students that wanted to counter Columbus Day because they didn’t know anything about history and thought that Christopher Columbus was a racist colonizer that killed all the Indians. That’s BS and I think you’veheard me talk about the Indians in past podcasts. I’ll give you a little overview: The Indians were not peaceful, nature-loving vegetarians like the Left wants you to believe.

Indigenious People’s Day does not celebrate anything specific (Mexicans are sometimes called indigenious people) and it not a national holiday. It is celebrated by some states and a bunch of localities and cities have named it a holiday. Guess what though: People still have to go to work. It seems like it is like Kwanza. Some crap some people made up to make a holiday to counter Christmas which is racist.

That’s a real cynical reason to created a holiday. That’s why I piss on that holiday. The least the hippies at Berkley could have done is make it like Cinco de Mayo so we can drink. But I digress.

Boston, Massachusetts is not one of those cities that celebrates Indigenious Peoples Day. So what the hell are the apologizing about? And when is holding a marathon, one that is far older than this stupid “holiday”, an insult to the Indians?

It’s not. People just need something to bitch about. If I were the race director, I would have told these people to f- off.

Knew This Was Coming

The Leftists really want our kids to wear masks. Not for any particular scientific reason.

  • We know kids don’t catch it easily.
  • We know kids don’t spread it easily.
  • We know kids don’t get really sick much less die.
  • We know that cloth masks don’t work.

We do know, scientifically, the masks are actually bad for children:

  • Socialization is lessened by wearing a mask.
  • Speech patterns cannot be analyzed by children when they can’t see a teacher pronounce words.
  • CO2 levels in a child’s blood stream go up because the child is breathing in his own air. This causes:
    • Low oxygen levels.
    • Fatigue.
    • Attention deficit.

But the Left wants all to bend the knee.

Some states have banned mask mandates like Texas and Florida. Well, the Left has found a new way to attack the mask mandates: the American Disabilities Act.

Greg Abbott is now being sued. The lawsuit states that banning mask mandates violates the ADA because a child that pre-existing conditions is put in danger if no one is required to wear a mask. This is not the first lawsuit brought into the courts. I believe there is a couple in Florida suing for the same thing. Their child has pre-existing condition and this couple does want their school to implement a mask mandate.

This lawsuit is going to have some problems:

  • The science on masks it sketchy at best. There are a couple of studies that state masks are actually bad unless an N-95 or KN-95 masks are used and constantly changed out.
  • There was never a need for masks in schools befoer the China virus. The flu kills more children than COVID. Last year, 480 kids died of the flu while only 360 died of the China virus.
  • The above puts another point to it: Why should all children be subjected to masks when the disease affests so few?

These areguements in themselves should be enough to throw this out of court. But here’s the real arguement: The ADA means we have to add things to make it easier for those with disabilities. A ramp for folks in wheelchairs. Handicap parking spaces for those who have trouble walking. Wider bathroom stalls for those who need wheelchairs. It’s not meant to limit a person’s freedom. And I would say forcing my children to wear a face covering is limiting their freedom and my freedom to determine what is good for my children.

This lawsuit actually goes against the ADA. The ADA is meant to expand freedom of movement for a few, not limit movement for the majority to protect the few. I would say limiting my child’s ability to breath is restrictng her movement.

The other major problem with this lawsuit is basing things on what might happen not on the condition that already exists. What do I mean by this? A ramp is put in front of a business because someone is in a wheelchair. You want my kids to wear a mask because someone might catch the China virus and get really sick. That’s not a thing and not what is eant when the ADA was designed.

Here’s the reality: If you have a kid that has a pre-existing condition, you need to take care of your kid in whatever way you see fit without stepping on the rights of my kid and my right to take care of my kid they way I see fit. I don’t want kids to die but kids do die and it’s the parents’ job to protect their children. It’s not my job to protect all kids at the expense of my kid.

Episode 350 – Could Be the End of an Era

The overturning of Roe versus Wade is going in front of the Supreme Court.

Let’s talk about Roe versus Wade and why it should be overturned, how abortion is murder and the media’s reaction.

And, finally, let’s talk about what is going to happen if it is overturned.

Prepare for Another Flip Out

The Supreme Court agreed on Monday, for the first time under its new 6-3 conservative majority, to hear an abortion case, potentially threatening the long-standing 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized aborting a fetus until 24 weeks, generally considered to be the stage of viability.

The case specifically challenges Mississippi’s ban on abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Both sides are projecting at least a partial erosion of abortion rights, given the court’s conservative majority.

This case is huge. I really didn’t expect they would take the case because it is a hand grenade politically and this court has proven that they are a little gun shy when it comes to controversial cases.

THIS IS HUGE!!

For legal scholars, Roe versus Wade has been very problematic.

  • During the case in 1973, the science is what a fetus actually is was questionable.
  • Test tube babies threw out the the concept that a baby was dependent on the mother in 1978.
  • The solution of DNA in the 1990s proved that a fetus had the DNA of both parents but didn’t match either parent. In other words, DNA proved the fetus had its own DNA.
  • Further research found that the fetus develops a nervous system at three weeks.
  • At four weeks, the baby has a face and neck.
  • At eight weeks, the fetus has arms, legs, fingers, toes, a heart and lungs.
  • At 12 weeks, the heart beat can be heard and the sex can be determined.
  • At 16 weeks, the baby’s eyes can blink and the heart and blood vessels are fully formed. The baby’s fingers and toes have fingerprints.
  • At 18 weeks, babies have survived outside the womb.
  • At 20 weeks, the baby can suck a thumb, yawn, stretch, and make faces. Soon — if you haven’t already — you’ll feel your baby move, which is called “quickening.”

The Justices in 1973 didn’t know any of this. So they ruled in Roe versus Wade that the fetus was part of the female body, like a hand, and had the right to privacy to deal with her body in the way she sees fit.

It was a chickenshit, political ruling.

All major medical institutions throughout the world acknowledge that the fetus is a separate human life at conception. Period. Done. A woman has no more “right to privacy” to kill a baby than I have to kill my fiancé while alone in my apartment,  even though I have a right to privacy in my apartment. Also, a woman has no more right to privacy to kill her unborn baby at 24 weeks, which the child is viable, than she does when the child is three days old. It’s the same child.

Roe versus Wade could, very well, be over turned. I’ll go a step further, it should be overturned. It’s a crap law based on flawed science with a really weak ruling.

The Media

Of course, the media loves abortion because they are all Leftists. The problem is they can’t argue for it because it is murder. So what do they do? They call anti-abortionists bad names.

Chris Cuomo from CNN suggested that the reason anti-abortionists want to overturn Roe v. Wade is because we are all racist. Cuomo said:

“It’s not about science or consensus. It’s about dividing lines, legislating to the far-right white-fright vote, flooding the zone with 536 bills that abridge a woman’s right to control her own body, in 46 states. It’s just like voting rights in one way.”

No debate. No argument. Just name calling. By the way, does it even bother anyone being called a racist anymore? I feel if I am not called a racist I might have to rethink my position.

Of course you can’t have an abortion debate without calling someone a sexist.

Joy Reid of MSNBC, who is just a terrible person, said:

“The conservative-led Supreme Court has agreed to take up Mississippi’s restrictive abortion law, and women’s reproductive rights appear to be in serious, serious danger. It’s straight out of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ with a Gilead-style government, right here in America.”

She was also quoted saying:

“It’s a terrifying prospect eerily reminiscent of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ where far-right wings religious extremists took up arms against their own country, one where women and their bodies were under the complete control of almost extravagantly corrupt and hypocritical men of god, quote, unquote. What’s so scary and frankly traumatizing about that show and the book that inspired it is that it starts off in the very place that we live in right now where women have the right to choose what they do with their bodies until they don’t. And then in what seems like a blink of an eye, those rights were just gone.”

There’s no debate or reason with these people. That’s because they have no argument. This is a group that, supposedly, follows the science unless the science contradicts their agenda. The good news is that people are getting tired of being called names and they are supporting things based on their conscience.

Let’s Say It Happens

This is what I find weird about this whole mess. All these people screaming about the overturning of Roe v. Wade, if it happens, know very little about the Constitution. The reason it could get overturned is because the Constitution does not address abortion. That’s why the ruling will probably be overturned.

And not much is going to happen if it does get overturned. Abortion is not going to be banned in places like California and New York. It just means that states will have the option to ban it or restrict it or keep it legal.

Episode 342 – Tsunami Inbound!

It’s coming. Like the cicadas. Like the Chinese rocket from space. It’s coming and it’s going to bite us all.

AOC is still an idiot.

Joe Biden needs to stop calling himself a Catholic.

And Andrew Cuomo, the guy who should have been impeached by now, is embracing segregation.

Things Aren’t Going Well

Joe Biden got some bad news. The jobs numbers came out today and it was one fifth of what was expected. This is going to have some consequences.

  • There were 266,000 jobs created in April.
  • The Budget Office expected almost a million jobs to be created in April.
  • The unemployment rate went up to 6.1%.
  • The unemployment rate is expected to be higher based on the fact a lot of people are not returning to the workforce.

Reasons why this is happening:

  • Schools are still closed.
  • The economy remains closed. It is opening but states like California and Michigan are still really restricting business.
  • The mixed messaging by the White House and Tony Fauci about the effectiveness of the vaccines and where we are in respect to the pandemic.
  • There have been reports that we may never reach herd immunity. This thing is never going to end.
  • The government has been giving out money for the last year and there are no plans by the Democrats to stop. People are being paid more to stay at home.
  • Businesses like McDonald’s can’t get low wage workers. They are offering $50 to people for just applying for a job.

Joe Biden thinks this is not a bad thing. He said today:

That’s a lie. He probably knows it though what he knows these days cannot be actually measured. But even CNN know this is really bad news.

It’s Coming Faster Than We Thought

CNN pretty much summed it up in a story today or yesterday. I was shocked:

The job numbers mean inflation is coming. Here’s the problem:

  • People have a lot of money right now. That’s because they have been given money for the last year.
  • Because people are making more money by staying home than working, they are not going to work.
  • Because there are less workers, supply lines and supply chains do not have enough people for products and services.
  • As demand goes up and supply goes down, prices for goods and services go up.
  • Walla! Inflation!
  • Who is this going to affect most? The poor and lower middle class. Their limited income is now going to buy less.

I thought this wouldn’t happen for a couple of years and this inflation is not what we are going to see because of the trillions of dollars of spending. This is the inflation from low supply and high demand.

Prices from March 2020 to March 2021:

  • Lumber is up 65%. Great for the housing market.
  • Gas and crude oil is up 40%. Prepare for the cost of driving and flying to go way up.
  • Iron and steel up 38%. Don’t need to worry about gas if you can’t afford a car.
  • Copper is up 75%.
  • Cotton is up 35%.
  • Fertilizer is up 26%.

These are actual increases from last year to this year. The projections are far worse. They are projecting lumber to increase between 200-400%. Gas could be up 50-70% because crude oil could get to over $100 a barrel again since we stopped being energy independent with Biden’s garbage policies.

In 2008, Obama said that we should be prepared to skip things like travel because of the environment. He was with a Congress that told him to buzz off. Now, the insane crap that Obama wanted is now being realized and we are going to suffer.

God, She’s Dumb

Did you know that Planned Parenthood actually saves lives? Yeah, I didn’t either. But here is the logic of the insane and stupid justifying the killing of babies by Planned Parenthood:

What she doesn’t get: Abortion is a policy that kills people. OK, there’s a lot to unpack here.

  • First off, AOC was born into an upper middle class family. I doubt her very well off family had anything to do with Planned Parenthood.
  • I love when people compare abortion to the death penalty. They really have nothing to do with each other.
  • I also trip out about the reverence people like AOC hold for Planned Parenthood
    • It was founded by Mary Sanger, a rabid racist and eugenicist.
    • She opened her clinics in black neighborhoods because she saw blacks and the disabled as inferior to whites.
    • Her clinics were for providing birth control, sterilization and abortion targeting the “inferior” people of color and the disabled.
    • The science community, including eugenicists, saw her as so radical, they rejected her, her research and her writings.
    • Planned Parenthood, this year, rejected Mary Sanger because people are beginning to learn a little bit about her and they do not want to be associated with her. It only took about a 100 years.
  • Now, on a more important note, Planned Parenthood kills 300,000 babies a year. With some adjustments, and don’t quote me on this because I have heard it is way higher, 10 million babies have been killed by Planned Parenthood.
  • Of that, less than 2%, and I’m being liberal here, are aborted due to rape, incest or danger to the mother. That means 98% of murdered babies are killed for convenience.

AOC is either really dumb or lying to you. I think it’s both. How she can up hold a clinic whose main purpose was to eradicate the United States of black people and the disabled.

Why Bother?

Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer. Joe Biden had something to say about it:

“Throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance. Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements — including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans. Prayer is also a daily practice for many, whether it is to ask for help or strength, or to give thanks over blessings bestowed.

“The First Amendment to our Constitution protects the rights of free speech and religious liberty, including the right of all Americans to pray. These freedoms have helped us to create and sustain a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations.

“Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation. As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time — from a deadly pandemic, to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change — Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead. As the late Congressman John Lewis once said, ‘Nothing can stop the power of a committed and determined people to make a difference in our society. Why? Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.’”

He’s not much of a Catholic but he’s a true Leftist. He does want you to pray every day. But he wants you to pray to the government, to the climate and to race. He doesn’t care about God or religion because, as Marx said, “Religion is the opiate of the people” and government will find it impossible to control a population that knows there’s a higher power.

Just sad.

The Abortion Debate Takes the Stand

Last week, Georgia passed a heartbeat bill, restricting abortion severely restricting abortions. On Tuesday, Alabama banned abortions including with pregnancies caused by rape and incest. Next week, Missouri is voting on their own anti-abortion bill. I guess we are going to talk about abortion.

The Laws

Some laws have been passed in a couple of states that are going to challenge Roe vs. Wade, the ruling that legalized abortion. The first law in known as the Heartbeat Bill in Georgia. This bill will ban abortion once the heartbeat of the fetus can be detected which can be as early as six weeks. Opponents of the bill are already threatening to take the state to court. The bill was signed by Gov. Brian Kemp. Anyone breaking the law would be subject to one to ten year prison sentence. The bill does not expressly say who would actually be prosecuted for abortions (whether it be the woman, the doctor or both) leaving many to speculate. Rape and incest victims are exempt from the law. This was the strongest anti-abortion bill in the United States. Until yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday, Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama signed a bill that outlawed abortion outright. Even rape and incest are not exceptions. With this law, women would not be prosecuted for abortions, only the abortion doctors. The penalty for breaking the law could be up to 99 years in prison. Ivey said this bill will surely be challenged and the bill will probably be “unenforceable” in the short term. Expectations are that this will go all the way to the Supreme Court.

Reactions

The media reaction is pretty much what we all would expect it to be. They’re hysterical. Tucker Carlson summed it up best on his show last night:

So everyone is righteously outraged. And when people get outraged on the Left, they don’t debate and do something about it. They go to Twitter and angry-Tweet about it. Bernie Sanders says:

I may be way off but murder has always been a crime. And the government doesn’t want to control the bodies of women. They don’t want women to kill the separate body that is growing within them. Finally, murder is a private decision and that’s illegal too.

Here’s one from Ilhan Omar:

She’s not exactly saying anything controversial or different from anyone else. I just want to point out that I have lived with a Muslim family. A very orthodox Muslim family. And, guess what? Muslims are also very against abortion. Just as much as Catholics or Jews.

Finally, we have the reaction of the intellectual powerhouse of the Left, AoC:

There’s a lot in this Tweet. That’s why she’s loved by the Left. She’s made women into victims, she demonized religion and she got it all wrong. No one is controlling women’s sexuality. Being held responsible isn’t controlling anything. People can go out and get birth control at any time. And, again, birth control is cheap. Finally, Religion doesn’t want to outlaw sex. They want their members to have sex and have children (within marriage). It’s in the vows during a religious wedding for Christ sake.

In the end, the media and the Left (but I repeat myself) are acting exactly like their expected. With outrage, victim hood and blame on religion and the patriarchy.

The Case Against Abortion

There are a bunch of reasons that seem to be always be used by the Left to justify abortion. Let’s go through them.

First, the baby is part of the woman’s body and, therefore, she can do what she wants with her own body. It’s as if the growing baby is like her appendix or something. I have heard a baby being referred to as “a glob of cells” and “a cancer”. This is the furthest from the truth. Even at conception. The newly conceived child a seperate and developing human being and not because the Bible says so. Science does.

During conception, the zygote already has the DNA of the mother and father but does not match either of them. In other words, the zygote is a separate being. We know this because of the discovery of test tube babies way back in 1978. The combined sperm of a man and with the ovum of a woman and let the conception happen for six days before the implanting of of the zygote into a woman. If you took a lung out of a woman, it would stop breathing. Why? Because it is part of a woman. But a fertilized ovum does not need the woman because it is independent of the woman. At two weeks, the zygote has a heart, though undetectable and organs and brain are developing. Buds for arms and legs appear. At six weeks, when most women discover they are pregnant, The baby has a detectable heartbeat, arms, legs, a brain (though still developing) and and internal organs. At thirteen weeks, the fetus has passed the miscarriage stage, has fingers and toes, starts to move a lot, has a formed brain and organs. At about 22 to 24 weeks, it is possible for it to survive outside the womb (though with much difficulty and risk). The child is separate and that has been acknowledge by every major medical association around the world.

Now, all this stuff is known. The Left, which is so into science when it comes to the environment, basically ignores science when it comes to biology so they can hold their narrative. This probably shouldn’t be too surprising since these are people who think men can be women and women can be men. Be this is more dangerous to abortion. Because if you buy the science, the same science that every major medical association in the world accepts, then there is no other arguments for abortion.

First, let’s talk about the reason abortion is legal today and that is from Roe versus Wade. The seven judges that ruled laws banning abortion were unconstitutional believed that the right to privacy (the fourteenth amendment) extended to the fetus/unborn child. The judges never considered the unborn child a separate and distinct human being but as an appendage to a woman. An appendage much like one’s appendix. If you accept that an unborn child is a separate human being, this is a horrid ruling. This law actually justifies the killing of babies outside the womb because of botched abortions and the killing of babies, not fetuses at this point but babies, while in the birth canal. Even liberal legal experts admit Roe versus Wade is a terrible ruling and will be overturned eventually.

The other really weak argument is that abortion is a Constitutional right. No kidding. Well, it’s not. No where in the Constitution mentions abortions. Bad argument. Going to move on.

Then there’s the argument of sentience. The unborn is not sentient so the baby is not human and I should be able to get rid of it. Crap argument. An unborn baby feels pain, reacts to stimulus and has brain activity. Because the baby can’t say, “Don’t kill me,” doesn’t mean it isn’t a human. Also, a thirty week fetus is as sentient as a five-day-old baby. I know this because my second daughter was born after thirty weeks. There are other people that don’t have sentience: people in a coma, people who have Alzheimer’s disease, people who sleep deeply. Can we kill them? Stupid argument. Moving on.

Finally, the worst and most horrific argument is the economic argument. This argument basically dismisses the life for money. What’s worse: it dismisses life for lifestyle. This argument ignores the fact the an unborn child is a child. It’s money that matters. But this brings up more and brutal arguments. I’m not ready for a child. The dad is not someone I’m not sure I should be with. I’m not sure I’ll be a good mother or he’ll be a good father. I haven’t finished school so I can’t accomplish my goals. This will ruin my career. These are all putting lifestyle above a human being. It’s disgusting. It’s lazy. It’s selfish. And all of these can be said after the baby is born. Can we kill it then?

Rape and Incest

I love when people justify abortion by bringing this up. I guarantee you that is you have an abortion debate, this will be the Left’s “gotcha” statement. And it’s so dumb.

Abortions from rape and incest make up less than 1% of abortions. Not even statistically relevant. Now, I have sympathy for these victims. I really do. As a matter of fact this really hung me up for a while. To the point maybe these people should have the opportunity to have an abortion. So I will tell someone, sure, let’s allow abortions abortions to rape and incest victims but ban them for everything else. Always crickets. The Left always uses the worst case scenarios when it comes to proving their point. And scenarios are really bad but also really rare.

But there’s a bigger point. Does a circumstance actually change a situation? Does the fact that a woman gets pregnant because of rape or incest change the fact that there is another human being in the picture. That’s a tough call. But here’s the thing, something I learned in school: it may not be my fault but it’s my responsibility. I had to deal with that with my divorce. I had to deal with that when my son died.

Here’s the thing: sometimes stuff is going to happen to us that we have to carry for the rest of our lives. It’s not our fault. We didn’t deserve it. But it is now our responsibility to deal with it and embrace the responsibility.

Or not. If someone called me and said she got pregnant because she was raped and she didn’t want the baby, I would hug her. Not debate her. And support her.

So What Happens Now

Probably not a lot.

All these cases are going to be challenged in the courts. Those courts are going to make their decisions. Then it will go to the Supreme Court.

The Alabama Law is going to be a big question mark. It’s a pretty extreme law and may not be accepted by the more moderate conservatives justices. Those being John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh. These two respect the Constitution but also respect past Supreme Court precedence, no matter how crappy it is.

This is what I think is going to happen. I think the Alabama law is going to be struck down by lower courts. When it gets to the Supreme Court, those two justices are not going to be comfortable with going against precedence and will not want to hear the case. That would make it six-to-three. Anti-abortion loses.

Where things get interesting is with the proposed Missouri law. That one, it’s not out yet, is more restrictive than the Georgia law but more flexible than the Alabama law. This one will also be challenged and struck down by the lower courts. But I believe the Supreme Court will hear this case. It will strike down portions of it but will agree to other portions.

In the end, abortion laws will be stricter in the states that desire so. Unfortunately, abortion will flourish in the states that wish to keep it and loosen restrictions. It’s just sad that states like New York and California can’t seem to follow the science and find the morality to do the right thing.
