- President Donald Trump said he had a “lengthy” call with Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, which included the Russian leader agreeing to “immediately” begin negotiations over the war in Ukraine.
- Trump’s announcement follows the return of Marc Fogel to the U.S. on Wednesday evening after the American had been imprisoned after being found guilty of possessing marijuana while at a Russian airport in 2021.
- Attorney General Pam Bondi announced at a press conference on Wednesday evening that the Department of Justice is filing a lawsuit against the multiple Democrats in the state of New York for alleged actions they have taken to shield illegal aliens.
- “We’re here today because we have filed charges against the state of New York,” Bondi announced at the start of her press conference. “We have filed charges against Kathy Hochul. We have filed charges against Leticia James and Mark Schroeder, who is with DMV.”
- At least 28 people, including children, were injured on Thursday when a car driver drove into a crowd in Munich, Germany, police say. Initial reports indicate that some of those hit were critically injured.
- Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder says the crash is being treated as a “suspected attack.” Police identified the suspect as a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker, BBC reported, adding that he was known to police for previous offenses.
- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Lee Zeldin said Wednesday that his team has located $20 billion in tax dollars that the Biden administration purposely wasted.
