Is the Left still trying to kill Donald Trump and, now Elon Musk? I think we all know the answer to that question.
Iran is becoming an issue again. How will the Trump administration deal with them.
And the Democrats have a “new” strategy. Call everyone racist.
He’s Not Safe
According to the Daily Wire:
United States Secret Service personnel shot an armed man near the White House early Sunday morning, the agency said.
The individual had parked his car near 17th and F Streets NW, close to an entrance to the White House and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, the Secret Service said. President Donald Trump is in Florida for the weekend, staying at Mar-A-Lago, and was not in the vicinity when the shooting occurred.
“Earlier on Saturday, local police shared information about a suicidal individual who may be traveling to Washington DC from Indiana,” the Secret Service said in a statement. “Around midnight, members of the Secret Service encountered the individual’s parked vehicle near 17th and F Streets NW. They also saw an individual on foot matching the description nearby.”
“As officers approached, the individual brandished a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued, during which shots were fired by our personnel.”
Secret Service shot the man, who was transported to an “area hospital.” The statement said the man’s condition is unknown, and that “there were no reported injuries to the Secret Service Personnel.”
The Metropolitan Police Department, which is investigating the matter, did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire. The matter is being specifically handled by MPD’s “Internal Affairs Division’s Force Investigations Team,” which investigates law enforcement officer involved shootings in Washington, D.C.
About Time
According to the New York Post:
President Trump is giving this anti-Israel campus rabble-rouser a ticket to study abroad — for good.
A Palestinian activist who led a coalition of twisted radicals seeking the “total eradication of Western civilization” responsible for riotous protests at Columbia University and Barnard College has been arrested by ICE agents, according to his lawyer.
Columbia University Apartheid Divest leader Mahmoud Khalil, who completed his graduate studies at Columbia in December, also potentially faces having his visa revoked and his green card canceled following Trump’s crackdown on unrest at colleges, attorney Amy Greer said Sunday.
He was inside his university-owned apartment a few blocks from the Ivy League campus Saturday night when ICE agents entered and took him into custody, Greer said.
Despite graduating months ago, Khalil, who earned his undergraduate degree in Beirut, still lived in school-provided housing due to a policy allowing students to remain on campus after graduating, a source told The Post.
There’s No Choice Here
According to the Daily Wire:
President Donald Trump said over the weekend that if Iran’s Islamic regime does not enter into a deal that prevents it from developing a nuclear weapon that the U.S. military will intervene to stop it from acquiring one.
Trump made the remarks during an interview that aired Sunday on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo when asked about what kind of a deal he wanted.

No Wonder They Lose My Mail
According to the Daily Wire:
If government bureaucrats seem a little slower than employees elsewhere, it could be because a court order prohibits the federal government from using tests to objectively rank job applicants — on the basis that hiring the most competent employees had an “adverse impact” on blacks and Hispanics.
A 1981 court order blocked agencies from using any test for job applicants that would result in a statistically significant difference in hiring rates between blacks and Hispanics on one hand, and whites on the other. That is akin to blocking colleges from using the SAT.
Now, the Trump administration is set to ask a Washington, D.C., court to dissolve the 40-year ban, arguing that it illegally puts race over merit when it comes to federal hiring, The Daily Wire has learned. The move seems likely to prevail given the Supreme Court’s ban on affirmative action, and could allow Donald Trump to permanently reshape the permanent federal workforce into one comprised of the best and brightest.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management “must be relieved of the Luevano Consent Decree to return common sense to federal hiring,” the Trump administration will tell the D.C. federal court, according to a motion exclusively obtained by The Daily Wire.
The motion says that the decree “blatantly conflicts with current law” because it “requires the federal government to make hiring decisions using explicit racial classification” and “this kind of blatant racial favoritism is not permitted under current Supreme Court precedent.” It cites a string of cases, including the 2023 Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard case that ended affirmative action. “By favoring the applications of blacks and Hispanics, the Decree disfavors all other racial groups. Like school admissions, hiring in the federal government is a ‘zero-sum’ proposition,” it says.
The administration will argue that the decree blocks the president from using “heavily researched and predictive tests that would streamline the federal hiring process and lead to a more capable workforce.”

Who’d of Thunk It?
According to Fox News:
Surgeries that aimed to “feminize individuals” showed “particularly high” rates of depression and substance abuse two years after the procedures, the study found.
“Findings suggest the necessity for gender-sensitive mental health support following gender-affirming surgery to address post-surgical psychological risks,” the researchers wrote.
Jonathan Alpert, a Manhattan-based psychotherapist and author, said the study findings highlight the “often overlooked” psychological risks that accompany gender-affirming surgery.
“While these surgeries can be critical in helping individuals align their physical appearance with their gender identity, they are not a cure-all for the mental health challenges many transgender individuals face,” Alpert, who was not involved in the study, told Fox News Digital.
“These findings suggest that surgery alone doesn’t eliminate the complex psychological burdens that stem from societal stigma and personal struggles with identity,” he went on.
“In fact, taking a scalpel to treat a psychological disorder can sometimes lead to more issues, as the study results are elucidating.”
Florida neurosurgeon Dr. Brett Osborn, who also was not part of the study, agreed that “surgery is no guarantee of happiness.”
“We’re often told that gender-affirming surgery is essential for alleviating gender dysphoria — but what happens when the euphoria fades?” he said in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“The key question remains: Is the surgery itself causing distress, or are preexisting mental health issues driving people toward it? Correlation or causation? No one knows.”
Can We Drive Across the Ocean?
According to USA Today:
An Australian couple said they were forced to sit next to a passenger’s body who died on a recent Qatar Airways long-haul flight.
Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin were embarking on their dream trip to Venice and about 10 hours into the flight from Melbourne, Australia, to Doha, Qatar, when a woman leaving the aircraft lavatory collapsed and died near their row, the couple told Australian news outlet A Current Affair on Sunday.
“Unfortunately, the lady couldn’t be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch,” Ring told the news station. “They tried to wheel her up towards business class, but she was quite a large lady, and they couldn’t get her through the aisle.”
“They looked a bit frustrated, then they just looked at me and saw seats were available beside me; my wife was on the other side, and we were in a row of four.”
The couple told A Current Affair the incident was traumatizing, and they had not been offered support from the airline at the time of the interview. “They have a duty of care towards their customers as well as their staff, we should be contacted to make sure, do you need some support, do you need some counselling,” Ring said.
A spokesperson for Qatar Airways told USA TODAY in a Wednesday statement: “Our thoughts are with the family members of the passenger who sadly passed away on-board a recent Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne, Australia.”
The airline has been in contact with the family of the passenger who passed away to express condolences and directly spoken with the affected passengers to address their concerns.
“The safety and comfort of all our passengers is of paramount importance to us,” the spokesperson said.
The flight crew asked Ring to move seats and placed the deceased passenger in his former seat. The couple said they were not offered to relocate despite there being empty seats. For the last four hours of the flight, the couple sat in the same row with the dead passenger and was told to stay seated upon landing for medical crews to remove the body.

This Is How to Fight
According to the New York Post:
A high school basketball player in Washington state is fighting back against allegations of bullying and harassment after she refused to play against a transgender athlete in her final game of the season.
15-year-old Frances Staudt and her mother, Aimee, discussed how her refusal to play against a biological male ignited a firestorm with the Tumwater School District during “Fox & Friends,” and allegedly prompted a series of threats against their family.
“They [the school district] could have avoided this happening,” Aimee told Steve Doocy on Thursday. “They knew, admittedly, that there was going to be this situation, and they had a meeting, the principal, the superintendent, and the athletic director to discuss the fact that this was a potential situation that was coming up.”
The Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism (FAIR) filed a civil rights complaint on Frances’ behalf to the Department of Education after the school district reportedly launched an investigation into Frances for “misgendering” her transgender opponent.
After warming up for the Feb. 7 game, Frances notified her coach of her refusal to play against the “quite obvious” biological male spotted on the opposing team. Aimee says she then approached the school athletic director, who allegedly responded that the school will not discriminate based on sexual identity in accordance with Washington state law.
“When [Frances] was leaving, she was so mad, she felt like she had been exposed, and it was just a terrible situation,” Aimee said. “She walked by and said that ‘you’re a man.’ She was so frustrated in the situation, and that is why she has been now charged with bullying, harassment, and intimidation for misgendering this person.”
Then, per the complaint, a school employee allegedly confronted Staudt’s younger brother about taking a video of the game, saying, “You better think twice about what you’re doing right now.”
Shortly after the incident, Frances spoke out about the situation on social media, which was reportedly met with discrimination allegations and threats.
The trans athlete involved in the incident later stated in an interview that she would have sat out the game if anyone had expressed an issue.
Who Would Be Using Those?
According to the Post Millennial:
The Maryland House of Delegates passed legislation on Friday that would repeal a prohibition on selling condoms in vending machines within public schools.
House Bill 380, sponsored by Democrat Delegate Nicole Williams, would allow contraceptives to be sold in vending machines in nursery schools, preschools, elementary schools, and high schools, according to the Baltimore Sun. The bill also eliminates the current misdemeanor criminal penalty, which carries a $1,000 fine. However, it does not mandate schools to sell contraceptives, leaving the decision to individual school systems.
“It’s a really simple bill. All it does is remove a criminal penalty,” Williams explained on the house floor before the vote on Friday. “It’s not setting policy. It’s not dictating to anyone what they should or should not do, or to any of our school systems. All we’re doing is removing a misdemeanor from our criminal law article.”
The legislation passed in the House by a vote of 89-41 and will now move to the state Senate for consideration.
The Maryland Department of Health has voiced support for the measure. Maryland Health Secretary Dr. Laura Herrera Scott stated in written testimony that research indicates access to condoms in high schools does not lead to increased sexual activity.
