California Proposition 50
Proposition 50, the Use of Legislative Congressional Redistricting Map Amendment, is on the special election ballot as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment.
Texas passes their redistricting map, Democrats respond by doing what they’ve always done.
President Trump just signed some pretty serious Executive Orders.
And Kilmar Abrego Garcia is about to be deported…again. What took so long?

đ¨ BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is now implying his people will rise up against âtyrannyâ via riots and unrest against President Trumpâs administration if he sends troops to Chicago to lower the crime rate.
Marylandâs Democratic governor is considering gerrymandering the lone Republican in his stateâs congressional delegation out of a U.S. House seat.
Governor Wes Moore appeared on CBS Newsâ âFace The Nationâ on Sunday and said that, in the interests of âfairness,â he is looking at targeting GOP Rep. Andy Harris in Marylandâs first district.
Harris is the only Republican of Marylandâs ten members of Congress. In 2024, President Donald Trump received over a third of Marylandâs vote. He lost the state to former Vice President Kamala Harris, who won 63% of the stateâs vote.
Moore said his plan to potentially gerrymander Harris out of the first district is about fighting against âsituations where politicians are choosing voters.â

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 gangbanger and illegal immigrant facing human smuggling charges, could be deported to Uganda, Garciaâs legal team says.
The Departments of Justice and Homeland Security allegedly told Garciaâs legal team on Friday that their client could be sent to Uganda if he refused to accept a plea deal offer on serious smuggling charges.
If not accepted by Monday, the departments allegedly said that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would start the process of deporting Garcia to Uganda. If, however, the deal was accepted, Garcia could be deported to Costa Rica.
Garciaâs team says this is an act of coercion from the Trump administration. However, a DOJ spokesperson contends they are simply working to keep Garcia, a âclear danger,â away from law abiding Americans and hold him âaccountableâ for his actions.
âA federal grand jury has charged Abrego Garcia with serious federal crimes ⌠underscoring the clear danger this defendant presents to the community,â the DOJ said. âThis defendant can plead guilty and accept responsibility or stand trial before a jury. Either way, we will hold Abrego Garcia accountable and protect the American people.â
The DOJ never confirmed nor denied whether or not Garcia would be deported to Uganda.
Garcia was quickly championed by the Left after the Trump administration mistakenly deported him back to his home country of El Salvador, where Garcia apparently faces threats from gang members. Democrat politicians and legacy media infamously and erroneously dubbed him a âMaryland man,â weaving a story of a sympathetic family man wrongly deported.
However, more details were quickly uncovered, revealing apparent gang ties, alleged sexual misconduct toward young girls, and participation in an illegal alien smuggling ring.
An Obama-appointed judge ruled on Friday that President Donald Trump canât cut federal funding from dozens of cities and counties that officials have deemed âsanctuariesâ for illegal immigrants.
U.S. District Judge William Orrick, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama in 2012, extended a preliminary injunction to block the Trump administration from pulling federal funds, or attaching immigration conditions to federal funds for local jurisdictions, according to a Fox News report.
The ruling protects more than 30 sanctuary jurisdictions, including Los Angeles, Baltimore, Boston, and Chicago.
Orrick additionally blocked Trump from placing similar immigration-related conditions on two grant programs.
The judge argued that Trumpâs action to protect Americans from unvetted illegal immigrants, specifically by threatening to withhold federal funding, is unconstitutional coercion.
In January, Trump signed an executive order to cut off federal funding for sanctuary jurisdictions, moving to fulfill a widely-supported campaign promise. The EO, called âProtecting the American People Against Invasion,â directs the DOJ and the Department of Homeland Security to ensure âsanctuary jurisdictionsâ do not receive federal money. It further directs the DOJ and DHS to âevaluate and undertake any other lawful actions, criminal or civil, that they deem warranted based on any such jurisdictionâs practices that interfere with the enforcement of Federal law.â
The administration has also targeted the worst of the worst, suing Los Angeles and New York City for such policies. The DOJ sued Los Angeles in June, arguing that city policies barring city resources from aiding in immigration enforcement operations or collecting information about individualsâ citizenship status violate federal law, Reuters reported. A month later, the DOJ took action against New York City for related immigration reasons.

A newly published economic analysis has found that Californiaâs 2023 fast-food minimum wage hike has led to the elimination of thousands of jobs across the sector.
According to a working paper released this month by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), employment in Californiaâs fast-food industry dropped by 18,000 jobs after the new $20 minimum wage took effect in April 2024âa 3.2 percent decline compared to other states, according to Fox News.
“Following AB 1228âs enactment, employment in the fast food sector in California fell substantially, with estimates ranging from 2.3 to 3.9 percent across specifications, even as employment in other sectors of the California economy tracked national trends,” researchers Jeffrey Clemens, Olivia Edwards, and Jonathan Meer wrote. They added that fast-food jobs in the rest of the US increased slightly over the same period, by about “0.10 percent.”
California approved AB 1228 in September 2023. The legislation created a new âFast Food Councilâ with the authority to set wages for the sector. Governor Gavin Newsom signed the bill into law the following April. The text of the law reads: “The hourly minimum wage for fast food restaurant employees shall be twenty dollars ($20) per hour, effective April 1, 2024. Thereafter, the council may establish, pursuant to this subdivision, minimum wages for fast food restaurant employees that take effect on an annual basis, beginning on January 1, 2025.”
The report notes that prior to the new law, employment trends in Californiaâs fast-food sector largely mirrored those across the country. After implementation, however, the state saw a sharp divergence.
Critics of the wage increase were quick to highlight the studyâs findings.
“When it comes to central planning, history keeps the receipts: Wage controls never work. Thatâs because policymakers can set wage laws, but they canât outlaw the consequences,” Rachel Greszler, an economic analyst at The Heritage Foundation, wrote in The Daily Signal.
She added, “The consequences of that wage hike on the fast-food industry should be a warning sign” for cities like Los Angeles, which voted to raise the minimum wage for hotel and airport workers to $30 by 2028.
A Clemson University student who was awarded $5.3 million after being falsely accused of sexual assault must continue to fight for his award money.
Andrew Pampu was awarded the money in April 2022 after he sued his accuser, Erin Wingo, her father, David, and her ex-boyfriend, Colin Gahagan, for defamation. But last month, South Carolinaâs Court of Appeals overturned the ruling and set a dangerous precedent âthat quasi-judicial campus tribunals carry the same weight as jury trials.
A jury unanimously agreed that Pampu had been defamed and ordered Erin to pay $700,000 in actual damages and $450,000 in punitive damages, her father to pay $230,000 in damages, and Gahagan to pay $700,000 in actual damages and $220,000 in punitive damages for defamation. Erin and Gahagan were also ordered to pay damages for civil conspiracy, with Erin ordered to pay $2 million in actual damages and Gahagan ordered to pay $1 million, Greenville News reported in 2022.
The three appealed the ruling, even though the lawsuit kicked off after Gahagan admitted to Pampu that he had helped Wingo falsely accuse him.
âYouâre innocent,â Gahagan wrote in a January 2017 text message, months after Pampu had been suspended from Clemson based on Wingoâs claims. âI lied in that hearing. Erin wanted to have sex that night. Get your brothers away from me and never touch your [sic] life again and Iâll come through with the truth that she lied. I deleted the texts from that night prove [sic] she was f****** crazy. Youâre innocent. Just pull your f****** boys off me and never touch me again. Itâs sad that you were like a brother to me and this happened[.] Youâre innocent. Send this to your lawyer. Just donât call me into the hearing and leave me alone. Youâre welcome. Thatâs all I ask. Youâre innocent bud.â
But the Court of Appeals overturned the unanimous jury ruling, in part by claiming the trial that led to the ruling was unnecessary because the case had already been litigated by Clemson University administrators.
This, despite the fact that campus tribunals provide little to no due process for accused students, including discovery or even the right to properly question their accuser and call witnesses. The Court claimed that âfundamental fairness requires the court to give preclusive effect to the administrative hearing boardâs February 29, 2016, findings.â
What happened? The article continues:
Pampuâs struggles began nearly a decade ago, in early September 2015, when Wingo pursued him for sexual activity leading up to a fraternity party where Gahagan, her on-again, off-again boyfriend, was ignoring her, as The Daily Wire previously reported. Wingo propositioned Pampu and the two ended up having sex outside near a shed. Following the encounter, Wingo complained about Gahagan and ended up crying over him for the rest of the night, sending him numerous text messages.
The next morning, she texted Pampu to ask him not to tell Gahagan about their night together. When she admitted to Gahagan what she had done, she claimed not to remember most of the night, so Gahagan told her that if she couldnât remember, it was rape. Even though Wingo clearly remembered the night in text messages to multiple people, she told investigators she didnât, even deleting her text to Pampu. When Pampu showed the text to campus investigators, they ignored it.
Wingo didnât report the alleged sexual assault to Clemson until two weeks after she and Pampu had engaged in sexual activity. Even though all sides were precluded from retaliation, Clemson allowed Gahagan to call Pampu a ârapistâ around campus. Pampu also reported other incidents of harassment and retaliation by Gahagan and Wingo, all of which were ignored.

Go Woke, Go Broke
According to the Daily Wire:
Albertsons, one of Americaâs largest grocery store chains, does not allow store managers to keep transgender-identifying men out of womenâs bathrooms, a conservative watchdog warned Tuesday.Â
The policy was revealed in a âWoke Alertâ campaign from Consumersâ Research targeting Albertsons over its promotion of gender ideology and DEI. Albertsons owns popular chains like Safeway and Vons and operates over 2,000 stores across the country.
In a document obtained by Consumersâ Research and shared with The Daily Wire, Albertsons writes that ârequiring a transgender individual (customer or employee) to use the restroom of her gender at birthâ would âbe a form of transgender discrimination prohibited by our Company policy.â
Albertsons did not respond to requests for comment on when the policy was implemented or whether it was still in place.
What happens if an asteroid the size of a 15-story building crashes into the Moon in 2032?
While the chances of the newly discovered asteroid 2024 YR4 hitting the Moon in seven years are slim â there is currently a 96% chance it wonât happen â an impact of this size would not come without consequences for the Moon, astronauts and spacecraft orbiting Earth.
A new study submitted for review by scientists with the University of Western Ontario and Athabasca University in Canada took observations from the James Webb Space Telescope of asteroid 2024 YR4 and used simulations to show how much lunar debris would be ejected out into space, sending pieces of the Moon toward Earth.
After its initial discovery late last year, the asteroid appeared to have a small chance of impacting Earth, warranting international attention, and jumping to the highest asteroid threat ever given on the Torino Impact Hazard Scale. By February, more ground-based observations of the asteroid helped clear the threat to Earth, but the Moon still faces a possible impact.
Earlier this year, NASAâs James Webb Space Telescope helped scientists determine that the asteroid is between 175 and 220 feet in diameter.
If Asteroid 2024 YR4 crashes into the Moon, it would create a crater more than half a mile in diameter (1 km), becoming the largest impact in about 5,000 years, according to the study. Current calculations show, if it happens, an impact would occur on the Southern Hemisphere.
The researchers said this impact would threaten satellites in low-Earth orbit for days or up to a few months, and send a fraction of the ejecta toward Earth.
Any lunar debris that makes it within Earthâs atmosphere could create a meteor shower event over the planet.
The St. Louis couple who went viral in 2020 for wielding guns as Black Lives Matter protesters marched outside their property have regained possession of their semiautomatic rifle.
After a yearslong and complex legal struggle to reclaim their weapons after they were seized by authorities more than five years ago, police have returned the AR-15 to St. Louis lawyers Mark and Patricia McCloskey.
“It only took 3 lawsuits, 2 trips to the Court of Appeals and 1,847 days, but I got my AR15 back!” Mark McCloskey posted to his X account on Friday, along with several photos of him carrying the gun.Â

Politicians are responding to the beatdown at the Cincinnati Music Festival. Anti-white violence will be alive and well.
ICE makes a huge bust that no one in the media is going to talk about.
And Democrats in Texas face a tough challenge. So what do they do? I don’t think you’ll be surprised.
This Is Incredible
According to Fox News:
New footage showing the racial slur that was shouted during the brutal beatdown in Cincinnati, Ohio, last weekend has emerged. In the video, someone can be heard yelling the N-word as the violence begins to unfold, though it is unclear who exactly said it and to whom it was directed.
I heard the video only from the Fox News channel, so I wasn’t convinced it was said. When the video was played, all the naughty N-words were bleeped, so there is no way to know where this came from, if it was said at all. As of now, I call BS.
But, even if the n-word was used, so what. If someone called me an a-hole, it would be illegal for me to beat up a woman, giving her serious and permanent brain damage, which is what happened to one of the victims.
But the BS excuses continues. Here’s Cincinnati’s mayor, Aftab Pureval, surrounded by black people, saying he was too busy to call the victims of this fight.
Cincinnati's Mayor Aftab Pureval has no plans to speak to the victims of the brutal mob attack.
Cincinnati's mayor stands alongside pastor Damon Lynch who calls for the victims of last week's brutal beating to be arrested and charged, their mug shots publicized.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested 214 illegal immigrants in the Houston area over the past six months who have been charged or convicted of child sex crimes. The figure surpasses the 211 such arrests made during the entire 2024 fiscal year by the Houston field office.
The uptick stems from a broader enforcement from the Trump administration after the president came into office pledging to conduct mass deportations with the âworst of the worstâ as a priority.
Among those arrested by ICE in the last 6 months who have been charged or convicted with child sex crimes is Jesus Gutierrez Mireles, 67, from Mexico, who was deported April 4 after convictions for aggravated sexual assault of a child and DWI, according to a press release from ICE.
Another arrested was Jorge Zebra, 48, also from Mexico, who was deported March 24 after convictions including aggravated sexual assault of a minor.
Manuel Antonio Castro-Juarez, 37, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, is in custody pending deportation and was part of the 214 arrests. He has prior convictions for sexual assault of a minor and illegal reentry.
Additionally, Jose Guadalupe Meza, 40, from Mexico, was deported June 25 following convictions for theft and sexual assault of a child. Also included in the 214 is Sergio Rolando Galvan Guerrero, 45, from Mexico, who was deported for the third time on July 14. He was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
“Bringing together the resources and expertise of the entire federal law enforcement community to confront the overwhelming surge of illegal immigration that we saw over the past four years has resulted in the arrest and removal of historic numbers of violent criminal aliens, transnational gang members and child sex offenders,â said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Paul McBride.
âWhile we still have a long way to go to truly get this crisis under control, the strides we have made in just six months to make our local communities safer are substantial, and our officers continue to work tirelessly every day to get the worst of the worst criminal aliens out of Southeast Texas to return our communities to places we can all enjoy,â McBride added.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) recently published a panel discussion from its annual Socialism Conference that featured open calls for the abolition of the nuclear family and traditional family structure in the US.
The panel, titled âThe Left and the Family: A Roundtable,â took place on July 4 and was part of the Socialism Conference in Chicago. The video was uploaded to YouTube on Friday, and DSA wrote in the caption that the nuclear family is âan inherently repressive, racist, and hetero-sexist institution that functionally reinforces and reproduces capitalism.â
Speakers included Emily Janakiram of New York City for Abortion Rights, University of Chicago sociologist Eman Abdelhadi, Katie Gibson of the University of Chicago, and BDS activist and Portland DSA member Olivia Katbi. Throughout the discussion, panelists linked capitalism and the nuclear family, calling both oppressive systems in need of transformation.
đ¨ The Family Must Go: DSA Panel Pushes Full-Scale Cultural Revolution
âI want to perform abortions at a church before itâs all said and done.â
âThe only real difference between marriage and prostitution is the price and the duration of the contract.â
Janakiram invoked a quote from Burkina Faso revolutionary Thomas Sankara, saying, âThe only real difference between marriage and prostitution is the price and duration of the contract,â calling into question the legitimacy of marriage. She also asserted, âThe institution of marriage can only exist alongside the criminalization of sex workers,â and added, âWomen lead the fight against capitalism and imperialism, period.â
Abdelhadi, who appeared to portray herself as the more âmoderateâ panelist, still pushed beliefs that were in line with the family abolition sentiment of the event. She quoted a sociologist who said, âOther countries have welfare states. The US has women,â which drew approving laughter from the audience. Abdelhadi described women as the âpermanent precariatâ responsible for âall the work the state is refusing to do.â
âIâm ambivalent about whether we use the F word [family] or not,â Abdelhadi said. âBut I think for me itâs about focusing on policies, right, and being really clear about what material benefits we are gonna give people.â She emphasized that the Republican Party provides a ânarrative,â and that the left must offer a competing one with clear policy aims. She later applauded far-left proposals in line with New York City socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, saying, âAll of that stands out for me as the kind of work that we need to be doing.â
Abdelhadi briefly commented about Islam in America and refuted the argument that Muslim beliefs contradict DSAâs worldview. Abdelhadi claimed the community is largely âprogressive and permissiveâ on issues like âqueer rights and trans rights,â but is overshadowed by a âloud minority.â
During a Q&A session, one self-identified Baptist minister from Austin, a DSA member in attendance, told the panel he wants to âperform abortions at a churchâ as part of the ârevolutionary horizon.â Another attendee asked about black feminism and previous injustices in the US, to which Abdelhadi responded by making her stance clear on the abolition of the nuclear family.
âWhat we actually mean is the nuclear family as an economic unitâŚthe way we live now, who your parents are, who you partner with, how many children you haveâthese are all economic conditions,â she said. Abdelhadi described a future âliberatory horizonâ in which food, housing, education, and care are collectivized. She also claimed that groups âdisposable to capitalism,â like black women and indigenous communities, have already modeled this and the world should follow suit.
An off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer was shot in the face after being robbed by a moped-riding illegal immigrant in a New York City park on Saturday â but he shot back and wounded his attacker, according to sources.
The suspect has been identified as Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a 21-year-old Dominican national with a lengthy rap sheet in New York according to sources â but he was let go each time he was busted, despite having a deportation order.
Mora entered the US illegally via the southern border under the Biden admin, the Department of Homeland Security said Sunday.
The 42-year-old federal agent and a female companion were sitting on a rock along the Hudson River in Fort Washington Park in Manhattan when they were ambushed by the two men on a moped around 11:50 p.m., according to police sources.
After a brief exchange and tussle, one of the moped-riding men fired a gun and hit the victim in the face and left forearm.
The agent then drew his own pistol and fired multiple shots at the perps, hitting the suspect.
Mora was struck and wounded three times by the return gunfire, sources said.
Harrowing video released by DHS caught one suspect hopping off the moped and approaching the CBP officer before firing shots at him â then reeling back after the officer returned fire. The suspects eventually fled on the moped, the video showed.
An illegal immigrant from Mexico has been charged with faking her own “kidnapping” by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to generate donations. LA Mayor Karen Bass also promoted the claims.
According to a DOJ press release on the case, Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon, 41, who has been living in South Los Angeles, has been charged with conspiracy as well as making false statements to federal officers. If convicted of the charges, she can face up to five years in prison.
The charges come after local outlet in California, KTLA, ran a report in June with the headline “LA mother says she was taken to US border, being held until she self-deports,” in which the outlet reported that “loved ones and attorneys” said that a “mother and community leader” was “kidnapped” by ICE “bounty hunters” and was being held at a warehouse.
LA Mayor Karen Bass on July 1 touted Calderon’s tall tale of being âkidnappedâ in a post to X. âSheâs a mother from L.A. â taken out of her car on her way to work, and then held in a warehouse as officers hoped she would âself-deport.â No hearing. Just fear. This doesn’t make anyone safer,â Bass wrote, citing KTLAâs report.
A press conference and protest were held at the time the claims were made, and images of the gathering were spread across different news outlets.
At the time, DHS responded to the story, saying that it was “clearly fabricated.” Fox News reported that the criminal complaint against Calderon said that she and others “planned a hoax kidnapping” to benefit themselves, “including their own pecuniary gain.” A GoFundMe page was set up by Calderon’s daughter, who managed to raise $4,500 and claimed that her mother was “taken by masked men in an unmarked vehicle.”
After the daughter filed a missing person report, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) determined that Calderon was not in ICE custody and launched its own investigation into the matter, only to find out that “kidnapping” did not add up.
The affidavit added, “when confronted with true information that contradicted their kidnapping story,” Calderon and others “attempted to thwart law enforcement efforts” to find out where she was.
HSI Los Angeles Special Agent in Charge Eddy Wang slammed the scheme, saying, “My office invested valuable time and resources working this alleged kidnapping investigation only to discover that it was a hoax.”
“Diverting critical law enforcement resources is not only reckless and irresponsible, but it also endangers the community,” Wang added. “The real cost of a fraud like this is the amount of fentanyl not seized, child predators not removed from the communities and human trafficking victims not rescued because law enforcement redirected resources to recover the defendant. We want to assure the public that allegations of criminal activity will be thoroughly investigated by HSI and our law enforcement partners and that those who engage in fraud and deception will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California by state Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta, comes one day after the Federal Railroad Administration pulled $4 billion from the project that was intended for construction in the Central Valley. The suit seeks declaratory and injunctive relief and challenges the legality of the decision.
The lawsuit calls the administrationâs actions âarbitrary and capricious, an abuse of discretion, and contrary to law, and threatens to wreak significant economic damage on the Central Valley, the State, and the Nation.â It names Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and acting FRA Administrator Drew Feeley as defendants and details President Trumpâs âpersonal animusâ toward the project and long-standing criticism of it. Trump previously pulled funding from the train during his first term.
The suit calls the presidentâs past statements over the projectâs budget as untrue. The project is about $100 billion over budget from its original proposal of $33 billion. Trump previously said it was âhundreds of billions of dollarsâ more.
âTrumpâs termination of federal grants for California high-speed rail reeks of politics.â Gov. Gavin Newsom said in a statement Thursday. âItâs yet another political stunt to punish California. In reality, this is just a heartless attack on the Central Valley that will put real jobs and livelihoods on the line. Weâre suing to stop Trump from derailing Americaâs only high-speed rail actively under construction.â
The fast train to connect San Francisco to Los Angeles was originally expected to be completed in 2020. But while the entire route was environmentally cleared last year, no portion of the line has been finished and construction has been underway only in the Central Valley. The Trump administration initiated a compliance review in February after Republican lawmakers called for an investigation into the project and demanded that it be defunded.
Some things:
2008: California voters approved Proposition 1A, authorizing funds and plans for the stateâs high-speed rail (HSR) system, originally targeting completion in 2018.
The initial vision set a price tag of $33 billion for a full system linking San Francisco and Los Angeles in under three hours.
2015: Construction started on the Central Valley segment, running from Merced to Bakersfieldâa stretch intended as the projectâs Initial Operating Segment (IOS).
2024: Substantial completion of one of the major construction packages in the Central Valley, while right-of-way acquisition for the Merced and Bakersfield extensions advances.
2030-2033: The Merced to Bakersfield portion will be complete (about 164 miles).
The rest of Phase 1 (San Francisco-Anaheim, ~494 miles) does not have a fully funded or fixed completion date. Tentative goals are set for environmental clearance, design, and gradual construction of other sections, such as Gilroy-Palmdale, with possible completion by 2045âdependent on funding and private investment.
Phase 2 would eventually extend service north to Sacramento and south to San Diego, but there is currently no timeline for these extensions.
Some math:
It will take 18 years to complete 164 miles for Phase 1. That’s 33% of Phase 1.
With that pace, it would take 54 years to complete the 494 miles of Phase 1.
I will not even go into the price tag. I would need quantum computing to figure that one out.
Phase 1 would take 72 years to complete!
It’s about 514 miles from San Diego to Sacramento which is Phase 2. That’s another 56 years.
Forget about the cost.
Phase 1 and 2 would take 128 years to complete!
Phase 3 is suppose to be from the Mexican border to San Francisco. I’m just going to say that’s not going to happen.
Maybe California is not getting that $4 billion.
What is worse for California, they are going to have to explain why they are so far behind and where did that $133 billion go.
I believe it is time we start calling terrorism terrorism and start throwing people in prison. The violence is here.
Trump’s big, beautiful bill crosses a major milestone.
And California…just…California.
News
Here is some news:
Two Israeli Embassy staff members were shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on the evening of Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
The victims, identified as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, were a couple who were about to become engaged, according to Israeli officials421.Â
The attack occurred as they were leaving an event at the museum, which is located near the intersection of 3rd and F streets NW, close to an FBI field office652.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Illinois (other reports specify Chicago), approached a group of four people and opened fire, fatally wounding the two embassy staffers231.
After the shooting, Rodriguez entered the museum, where he was detained by security personnel and subsequently taken into police custody23.
While in custody, Rodriguez reportedly shouted “Free, free Palestine” and disclosed where he had disposed of the firearm, which was later recovered by authorities1235.
Two other Israeli Embassy employees were reportedly injured, but this has not been confirmed by all authorities5.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, several pro-Palestinian protestersâincluding recent graduates and alumniâburned and shredded their diplomas outside Columbia University following the school’s commencement ceremony. The demonstration was a response to Columbia’s perceived ties to Israel and to demand the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a former student detained by immigration authorities
Police intervened to extinguish the flames and restore order, resulting in at least one arrest according to the NYPD1356.
The protest escalated into confrontations with law enforcement, with demonstrators attempting to breach police barriers and officers issuing desk-appearance tickets for low-level offenses16.
The Israeli military has likely killed the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Mohammed Sinwar, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Sinwar took over leadership of the terror group in Gaza after Israel killed his brother, Yahya Sinwar, in October. Mohammed is believed to have been killed in one of hundreds of airstrikes that Israelâs air force carried out in Gaza over the weekend, according to the Israel National News.Â
Israel has launched a new military operation, âOperation Gideonâs Chariots.â The Israeli military said it struck over 670 Hamas targets in Gaza over the weekend, eliminating weapon storages and underground Hamas infrastructure, as well as killing dozens of terrorists.
Security Guards at the CIAâs headquarters in McLean, Virginia, shot and wounded a woman on Thursday morning after she failed to stop at the gate, CBS News reported.
The shooting came just hours after two Israeli Embassy staffers were murdered by a man shouting âFree Palestineâ outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night.
The CIA headquarters in McLean is just over 12 miles northeast of the Capital Jewish Museum, but there is currently no evidence that the two shootings are related.
The Supreme Court on Thursday voted in a 4-4 vote to uphold the Oklahoma State Supreme Court’s decision in a landmark school choice case.Â
The state had ruled that providing state funds for a religious charter school violated the First Amendment.Â
Justice Amy Coney Barrett recused herself from the ruling, resulting in the 4-4 split.
President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” passed the House of Representatives early on Thursday morning with few Republican defections.
The bill passed 215 to 214 with just two Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, voting against it. All Democrats voted against the bill as well, and House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris, R-Md., voted “present.”
Some of the changes to the bill:
SALT deal stays
Medicaid work requirements moved up to Dec. 2026
Incentives for non-expansion states
Faster phase out of energy tax credits for wind, solar, and battery storage in 2028 w/ some exceptions
Changes to federal pension
Ditching the federal requirement that firearm suppressors must be registered
On May 16, 2025, an EF3 tornado with 150 mph winds struck St. Louis, killing at least five people, as part of a multistate disaster that claimed 17 lives in Kentucky and two in Virginia, per weather.com reports.
CEMA Commissioner Sarah Russell failed to activate St. Louis’ tornado sirens due to a communication breakdown with the Fire Department, leading to her placement on paid leave by Mayor Cara Spencer for an external investigation, according to stlouis-mo.gov.
The X post by Right Angle News Network highlights public outrage, linking Russellâs failure to her non-binary identity (they/them pronouns), reflecting broader societal tensions around DEI policies, as seen in a 2025 White House order terminating federal DEI programs.
Projected Gas Price Increases in California for 2025â2026
Recent analyses and multiple news reports indicate that California gas prices could rise dramatically over the next year, with estimates suggesting an increase of up to $0.68 per gallonâor moreâby late 2025, and potentially much higher by 2026.
Key Factors Driving the Increase
Refinery Closures:Â Two major California refineriesâPhillips 66 in Los Angeles (slated to close by the end of 2025) and Valero in Benicia (expected to close by April 2026)âare set to shut down. Together, these facilities produce about 20% of the state’s gasoline supply2346.
Refining Capacity Loss:Â The closures will reduce Californiaâs refining capacity by approximately 21%, creating a significant supply shortfall that is not expected to be matched by a corresponding drop in demand134.
Supply Chain Challenges:Â California lacks incoming fuel pipelines and relies heavily on maritime imports, making it vulnerable to global disruptions and higher transportation costs156.
State Policies and Taxes:Â Expanding cap-and-trade costs, changes to the Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and high state excise and sales taxes are all contributing to higher prices146.
By late 2025, after the Phillips 66 closure, prices could jump to $6.43 per gallonâan increase of about $1.61 from the April 2025 average of $4.822346.
By the end of 2026, after both refineries close, prices could reach between $7.35 and $8.43 per gallon, representing a 75% increase over current rates123456.
Gas prices are currently averaging $3.12 a gallon, down from $3.30 a gallon in 2024. The all time high was $4.99 a gallon during Biden’s presidency in 2022.
The Trump administration is investigating the City of Chicago after Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson bragged about the number of black people he has hired.
The Justice Department informed Johnson on Monday of the probe just one day after he appeared at a church and suggested that he had staffed his administration based on race. In a letter, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon told Johnson that the investigation would examine whether the city violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits racial discrimination in employment.
Dhillon told Johnson the investigation was âbased on information suggesting that you have made hiring decisions solely on the basis of race.â
On Sunday, Iranâs Foreign Minister bluntly stated that whether the despotic regime in Iran makes a nuclear deal with the United States or not, Iran will continue enriching uranium.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi claimed, âSpecial Interest groups; malign actors which set the agendas of at least previous Administrations,â should be ignored before adding, âwe are ready for a serious conversation to achieve a solution that will forever ensure that outcome. Enrichment in Iran, however, will continue with or without a deal.â
In January 2024, the Arms Control Association noted that Iran had accelerated its production of uranium enriched to near-weapons grade levels, pointing out that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had estimated Iran was producing approximately nine kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent uranium-235 per month. âAccelerating the production of uranium enriched to 60 percent U-235 is concerning because the material can be quickly enriched to weapons-grade levels or 90 percent,â the Arms Control Association reported.
âOnce youâre at 60, youâre 90% of the way there. You are, in essence, a threshold nuclear weapons state, which is what Iran basically has become,â Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Thursday.
Uranium enrichment involves increasing the concentration of the Uranium-235 (U-235) isotope in uranium, from its normal 0.7% to 3.5% for use in nuclear reactors or going further, over 20%, at which point it can be used for nuclear weapons.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s daughter, Hope Walz, recently made headlines for criticizing running influencer Kate Mackz after Mackz visited the White House and interviewed Trump administration press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Hope Walz, age 23, posted a TikTok video expressing her disappointment, arguing that running is a political act and a privilege not accessible to everyone-a perspective she says she learned from her father.
She objected to Mackz “normalizing” the Trump administration and keeping her father’s interview pinned on Mackz’s social media, claiming this was disrespectful since he represents the opposite of the current administration’s values245.
This is Tim Walz's daughter claiming running (as in physically running with your legs for exercise) is a political act, a privilege, and contributes to climate change.
12-Foot Statue of an Obese Black Woman in Times Square, New York
A new 12-foot-tall bronze statue of a fictionalized, plus-size African American woman has been installed in Times Square at Broadway and 46th Street. The sculpture, titled Grounded in the Stars, is the work of London-based figurative artist Thomas J Price123.
Artistic Intent and Symbolism
Purpose:Â The statue was created as a contrast to the two longstanding statues of white men in Times Square-Chaplain Francis P. Duffy and George M. Cohan-to challenge traditional notions of who is commemorated in public monuments2.
Artistic Statement:Â Price aimed to encapsulate the diverse experiences and imagery of cities like New York, Los Angeles, and London through a fictional character. The work is intended to provoke reflection on the human condition, cultural diversity, and empathy12.
Design Reference:Â The statue is a subtle nod to Michelangeloâs David, using its scale, material, and posture to disrupt preconceived ideas about what defines a triumphant or immortalized figure23.
Public and Social Media Reaction
The statue has sparked significant discussion and controversy online and among visitors:
Some social media users and commentators have criticized the statue, viewing it as a replacement for traditional monuments and questioning its artistic merit12345.
Others have interpreted the work as a statement on diversity, body image, and representation, though not all responses have been positive or supportive123.
The statueâs appearance has drawn comparisons to public figures, and some have speculated about its intended message regarding health or social issues, though the artistâs stated intent focuses on broader themes of empathy and diversity135.
Context and Funding
The installation is part of a broader exhibition by Thomas J Price, coinciding with his first major solo show in New York, “Resilience of Scale.”
The project received funding from multiple sources, including the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation, Morgan Stanley, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs2.
Move over, Jean Valjean â Luigi Mangione will soon be immortalized on a San Francisco stage in a sickening musical comedy glorifying the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO gunman.
âLuigi the Musical,â slated to debut at the Taylor Street Theater on June 13, promises a âbold, campy and unafraidâ take on the life and times of the man accused of perpetrating an assassination that left two young children without a father.
Opening night is already sold out on the official website, which uses the tagline âA story of love, murder and hash browns,â a reference to Mangione scarfing down the McDonaldâs menu item before his arrest in Pennsylvania.
The official synopsis of the musical calls it âA wildly irreverent, razor-sharp comedy that imagines the true story of Luigi Mangione, the alleged corporate assassin turned accidental folk hero.â
The Ontario Court of Appeal has ruled that the province must cover the cost of a novel “penile-preserving vaginoplasty” for a trans, non-binary resident, identified as K.S., under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP)12.
This surgery creates a vagina while leaving the penis intact-a procedure not available in Canada and sought at a clinic in Texas125.
The court found that vaginoplasty is listed as an insured service in OHIPâs Schedule of Benefits, regardless of whether a penectomy (removal of the penis) is performed12.
K.S. does not identify as fully male or fully female and sought this surgery to align with her gender identity125.
The court rejected OHIPâs argument that the surgery was ineligible for coverage because it was not accompanied by a penectomy and considered “experimental”12.
Ontario has until June 23, 2025, to seek leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada1.
Key Points
The decision affirms that gender-affirming surgeries can include procedures for non-binary individuals that do not fit traditional binary models125.
The ruling is seen as a step toward more equitable healthcare funding for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse people in Ontario2.
Ontario was also ordered to pay K.S.’s legal costs12.
Context
This is the first time Ontario has been required to fund a surgery that results in both a vagina and a penis, reflecting evolving legal and medical recognition of non-binary gender identities and their healthcare needs125.
The abortion pill is many times more dangerous than the FDA claimed, with more than one in 10 women suffering serious complications, a new study found.
About 11.2% of 154,554 women experienced a âserious adverse eventâ after taking the mifepristone abortion pill in 2023, according to new research commissioned by the Foundation for the Restoration of America and released Monday.
That works out to about 17,310 women who suffered serious adverse events, which can include hemorrhaging, needing a blood transfusion, an emergency room visit, and even deadly conditions like sepsis.
This is about 22 times higher than what the FDA put on its label for the brand Mifeprex in 2023 â the FDA cited clinical studies saying less than 0.5% of women suffered âserious adverse reactionsâ to mifepristone.
The two-pill chemical abortion regimen, mifepristone usually followed by misoprostol, aims to end the life of the unborn baby and expel it from the womanâs uterus. However, the drugs sometimes fail to expel all the fetal tissue, which can cause life-threatening complications.

According to reports from Fox News and CBS News, the Supreme Court has granted President Donald Trump’s request to vacate a lower court’s ruling that barred the administration from using the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan nationals, including suspected members of the Tren de Aragua gang.
The Supreme Court’s decision was sharply divided, with a 5-4 split ruling in favor of the Trump administration’s request12.Â
While the court allowed the deportations to resume, it also mandated that individuals subject to removal under the Alien Enemies Act must be given notice and an opportunity to challenge their deportation before being removed from the United States13.
In dissent, the three liberal justices, joined in part by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, criticized the majority’s decision, arguing that it rewarded the government’s attempts to avoid judicial review34.

Colorado is currently considering House Bill 25-1312, known as the “Kelly Loving Act,” which proposes significant legal protections for transgender individuals. The bill aims to address issues such as misgendering, deadnaming, and gender-affirming care, particularly in contexts involving family law, education, and public accommodations.
Key Provisions of HB25-1312
Misgendering and Deadnaming as Child Abuse: The bill classifies misgendering (using pronouns inconsistent with someone’s gender identity) and deadnaming (using a person’s birth name rather than their chosen name) as forms of “coercive control” in child custody cases. Courts would consider such actions when determining parental responsibilities and the best interests of the child146.
Anti-Discrimination Protections: Misgendering and deadnaming would be explicitly defined as discriminatory acts under the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act. This would prohibit such behavior in places of public accommodation, including businesses and schools. Violators could face penalties such as fines or mandatory anti-discrimination training146.
School Policies: Schools would be required to adopt inclusive policies regarding chosen names and gender-neutral dress codes. They would also need to accommodate any reason a student might use a name different from their legal name356.
Public Entities’ Use of Chosen Names: Public agencies would be mandated to provide space for both legal names and chosen names on official forms. Once a chosen name is listed, it must be used on all future documentation administered by the agency67.
Parental Rights Protections: Colorado courts would be prohibited from enforcing out-of-state laws that penalize families for supporting gender-affirming care for minors36.
Criticisms and Concerns
Critics argue that the bill could infringe on free speech rights by compelling individuals to use specific names or pronouns, even if doing so conflicts with personal beliefs. Some opponents also view the classification of misgendering and deadnaming as child abuse as overly broad and potentially harmful to parental rights15. Additionally, concerns have been raised about the administrative burden on public entities required to track chosen names5.
Broader Implications
If passed, HB25-1312 could set a national precedent for transgender protections, reinforcing Colorado’s position as a sanctuary state for gender-diverse individuals37. However, it remains controversial due to its potential impact on free speech, parental rights, and business practices.
The bill is still under consideration in the Colorado legislature, and its final form may include amendments addressing some of these concerns.

Democrat Rep. Pramilia Jayapal says that Anti-Trump/Elon protestors should be "strike ready" or "street ready."
Major corporations, including Amazon, Costco, Microsoft, and Nordstrom, are warning Washington state lawmakers that proposed tax increases could lead to a corporate exodus and harm the state’s economic stability. These companies, alongside others such as Alaska Airlines, Zillow, T-Mobile, and Puget Sound Energy, co-signed a letter urging the legislature to reconsider payroll and wealth tax proposals aimed at addressing a significant budget shortfall of $12â16 billion134.
Key Concerns Raised by Businesses
Economic Impact of Taxes:
The proposed taxes include a statewide payroll tax modeled after Seattle’s 2020 “JumpStart” tax. This tax would impose a 5% levy on employee wages above the Social Security wage limit for companies with annual payrolls exceeding $7 million2.
Critics argue that these measures would increase operational costs, making Washington less competitive compared to other regions. For example, it is reportedly 30% cheaper to employ software engineers in Vancouver, Canada, than in the Puget Sound area12.
Threats to Job Growth:
Business leaders warned that higher taxes could drive jobs out of the state. Microsoft President Brad Smith highlighted that Amazon has reduced its Seattle workforce by 10,000 jobs since the implementation of the “JumpStart” tax, while adding 25,000 jobs in Bellevue16.
Smith also pointed to historical examples in Europe where similar wealth taxes were abolished due to negative economic consequences, including job losses16.
Unsustainable Spending Growth:
The letter criticized Washington’s spending trends, noting that the stateâs operating budget has more than doubled over the past decade, growing by 37% in just the last four yearsâfar outpacing population and income growth13.
Businesses argued that even without new taxes, existing revenue sources are projected to grow by 6.8% in the 2025â2027 biennium and 7.7% in the following biennium13.
Legislative Context
Democratic lawmakers have floated various revenue measures to address the budget gap, including payroll and business taxes. However, Governor Bob Ferguson has stated he would veto any bill containing a wealth tax due to concerns about its economic impact34. While proponents of these taxes argue they are necessary for funding public services like education and housing, opponentsâincluding Republicans and business leadersâbelieve spending cuts should be prioritized instead45.
Broader Implications
The business community has warned that these tax proposals could lead to long-term damage to Washingtonâs economic competitiveness. Companies have already begun shifting jobs to more business-friendly regions like Idaho or British Columbia. Additionally, some wealthy residents have reportedly moved out of Washington to avoid higher taxes23.
In summary, corporate leaders are urging lawmakers to reconsider these tax hikes, emphasizing their potential to undermine entrepreneurship, discourage job creation, and harm economic stability across the state134.
Let’s have an uncomfortable and necessary conversation about race relations.

On April 2, 2025, a tragic stabbing at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, claimed the life of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a junior at Memorial High School. The incident occurred during the UIL District 11-5A track meet at Kuykendall Stadium, where students from multiple schools were competing. Austin’s twin brother, Hunter, was present and attempted to save him after the stabbing, but Austin succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a hospital126.
Details of the Incident
The altercation began under Memorial High School’s team tent when Austin reportedly asked Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old student from Centennial High School, to leave the tent as he did not belong to their team. Witnesses stated that Anthony responded by opening his bag and warning, “Touch me and see what happens.” When Austin pushed or grabbed him, Anthony pulled out a knife and stabbed him once in the chest before fleeing. He was later apprehended near the stadium349.
Aftermath and Reactions
Hunter Metcalf described holding his brother as he died, saying he tried to stop the bleeding but was unable to save him. Their father, Jeff Metcalf, expressed anguish over the loss and questioned how such an event could occur without adequate security measures in place67. The family has received an outpouring of community support but is focused on grieving and honoring Austin’s memory3.
Anthony was charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $1 million bond. According to arrest reports, he claimed self-defense during his initial statements to police but admitted to stabbing Austin48. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the full circumstances of the incident.
Community Impact
The tragedy has deeply affected students and staff at Memorial High School and raised concerns about safety at school events. The track meet was postponed and relocated, with Frisco ISD promising updated security measures moving forward59.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the legal defense of Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old charged with murder following the stabbing death of Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2, 2025. The incident reportedly began with a dispute over seating, escalating into a fatal altercation. Anthony’s family and supporters claim he acted in self-defense, while Metcalf’s family disputes this narrative128.
The crowdfunding efforts have raised significant amounts across multiple platforms. A GiveSendGo campaign has collected over $85,000 as of April 6, while GoFundMe campaigns have also been organized by supporters under titles such as “Support Karmelo Anthony’s Legal Defense” and “Support Karmelo Anthony’s Fight for Justice”234. These campaigns emphasize Anthony’s academic achievements, lack of a criminal record, and the family’s need for financial assistance to cover legal fees and other expenses13.

Here’s is some trans news that we can’t skip. That’s because it is being ignored by the media and is really becoming a problem for women.
Stephanie Turner, a female fencer, was disqualified from the Cherry Blossom Open in Maryland on March 30, 2025, after refusing to compete against Redmond Sullivan, a transgender woman. Turner protested by kneeling and removing her mask prior to the match, stating that she would not fence against Sullivan because she believed it was unfair for a transgender woman to compete in a womenâs event. This act of protest resulted in her receiving a black card, which disqualified her from the tournament135.
The governing body for high school sports in Washington State has announced that it will not ban men from womenâs sports following legal threats from Democratic officials.
Washington state law currently requires educational agencies to allow students to participate in interscholastic sports “that most closely aligns with their gender identity.â The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) previously announced that it had proposed two bylaw amendments that would limit participants in girlsâ sports to students who were born as females and prevent students who were born male and now identify as female from competing in girls’ sports following multiple headline-grabbing victories by boys in Washington competing in girls’ events.
A transgender athlete took home first place in a varsity high jump competition at an Oregon high school meet Wednesday, roughly two years after finishing last while competing against junior varsity boys, according to a report.
Lia Rose, who reportedly used to compete as Zachary, won the high jump at the Portland Interscholastic League Varsity Relays with a height of 4 feet, 8 inches, beating the second-place finisher by two inches.
A trans-identified male is lashing out against the New York City Tennis League Network after being banned from competing against women. Cameron âCammieâ Woodman, 25, is now on a crusade to have the Network banned from using public courts by complaining to city officials.
Last week, Woodman played two sets against female opponents in the Lincoln Terrace Park tennis courts of Brooklyn and was victorious in both matches. One of his opponents then contacted the Tennis League Networkâs CEO, Steve Chagnon, to alert him about the presence of a male in the womenâs matches. The Tennis League Network is an amateur recreational league with branches nationwide.
Chagnon, head of the Tennis League Network, forwarded the complaint to Woodman with the accompanying message: âCan we move you over to an appropriate level Menâs Division?â
Woodman refused the offer, stating: âI am a transgender woman who has been medically transitioning for the past four years. I believe in my integrity as a woman player, as I play women often⌠I am not willing to join a menâs league where I would have a disadvantage due to my medical transition.â
He went on to name the woman who had sent in the complaint, and slammed her as âa very inexperienced player who wouldnât even have rated as high as a 3.0 based on her skills,â and added that he found it âoffensiveâ that she had brought the matter to Chagnon.
Woodman additionally shared a series of posts further demanding action to âfight transphobia on NY courtsâ and stating that the Tennis League Network âshould be removed from our cityâs courts for violating NY Human Rights Lawâ. He is calling on the New York City Parks Department and the New York City Commission on Human Rights to investigate.
Professional disc golf athlete Abigail Wilson walked off the tee in protest over the inclusion of a trans-identified male in the womenâs competition this week. Wilson found herself being expected to compete against male participant Logan âNatalieâ Ryan in the Music City Open held in Nashville, and refused in an act of defiance being celebrated by womenâs rights advocates the world over.
Wilson posted a video of her protest to her Instagram account, saying: âFemales deserve to have their gender protected division be protected. This is unfair. I have worked so hard to get to this point to play on the DGPT, but the sacrifice of my career and my hard work is worth it if it means I can make a difference for other women, daughters, nieces, and the future of our sport. If you feel how wrong it is to have biological males be competing in female protected divisions in sports, now is the time to speak up and stand your ground.â
She added that she had been having âanxietyâ about playing against the trans-identified male because of âthreats of violenceâ at last yearâs competition, referencing a terrorist threat that had suspended the Music City Open last year.
When Ultimate Pool crowns a women’s champion for the Pro Series event on Sunday, the winner will be a biological male. That’s because both the finalists, Harriet Haynes and Lucy Smith, are males who “identify” as women.
Anjela Borisova Urumova, a 20-year-old woman from Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on April 1, 2025, to 45 days to 23 months in the Bucks County Correctional Facility after filing a false police report about an alleged attempted rape and kidnapping. The incident occurred in April 2024 in the parking lot of a Redner’s grocery store in Middletown Township. Her false accusations led to the wrongful imprisonment of an innocent man, Daniel Pierson, for 31 days before her claims were disproven through a thorough investigation by law enforcement126.
Urumova initially alleged that Pierson attacked her from behind, attempted to pull down her pants, punched her, and tried to abduct her. However, inconsistencies in her account were uncovered through surveillance footage and forensic analysis of her cellphone data. Confronted with the evidence, Urumova admitted she fabricated the entire story. She later revealed that she had targeted Pierson because she found him “creepy” after seeing him and his truck in the area previously27.
In January 2025, Urumova pled guilty to seven misdemeanor charges, including filing false reports, tampering with physical evidence, and unsworn falsification to authorities. She faced a potential sentence of up to 17 years but received a reduced sentence due to her plea deal. In addition to jail time, she was ordered to serve one year of probation, undergo a mental health evaluation, pay $3,600 in restitution to the victim, and avoid any contact with him or his family368.
The case has drawn significant attention due to its impact on the victim and broader societal implications. Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn emphasized that such false accusations can erode public trust in the justice system and jeopardize legitimate cases of sexual violence16.
