Immigration experts are raising the alarm about how the increasing flow of migrants illegally crossing into the U.S. may significantly impact states’ representation in the House of Representatives and Electoral College.
Shortly after taking office in January 2021, President Biden signed an executive order requiring that the U.S. Census Bureau factor in all residents, including noncitizens, as part of its decennial calculation of the U.S. population. As a result, the apportionment of House seats and, therefore, electoral votes for presidential elections, could be swayed as migrants continue to pour over the southern border.
“Illegal immigration has all kinds of effects and among them is that it distorts the mechanics of democratic government,” Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, told Fox News Digital in an interview. “Illegal immigrants aren’t even supposed to be here, so their inclusion in the census count for purposes of apportionment really is outrageous.”
“There are a lot of close votes in Congress, more than there used to be. So, it can, in fact, make a difference,” Krikorian said. “It shouldn’t be a question of: Does this give you personally more influence in Washington? The question should be: Is it right? Is it healthy for our democratic process to be distorted this way? The answer is no.”
Overall, according to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, there are an estimated 16.8 million illegal immigrants living in the U.S. as of June 2023. Therefore, because every House seat represents 761,168 residents on average, the total number of illegal immigrants account for roughly 22 seats in the House.
And the most recent census, which was conducted in 2020, reduced the number of House seats apportioned to New York from 27 to 26. The state, according to the Census Bureau, would have needed just 89 more residents to maintain its previous apportionment, a calculation that highlights how fragile states’ House seat levels are.
In addition, electoral votes for presidential elections are distributed to states based on how many representatives in Congress they have. Therefore, a state with a larger number of House seats has greater influence during presidential elections every four years.
“It doesn’t get enough attention, and with millions coming in right now, it deserves a bright, hot spotlight,” Lora Ries, director of the Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

The US Constitution in the National Archives was desecrated by climate activists on Wednesday. The activists dumped red powder over themselves as well as the case that held the document.
The two activists were arrested within a few minutes, according to journalist Ford Fischer.
The activists said that they wanted to engage in and “foment a rebellion” and that “only wealthy white men” have the rights enshrined in America’s founding document.
“We will not be held accountable to laws [in] which we have no voice or representation,” one uttered in protest to the United States as a whole.
The activists urged President Joe Biden to “declare a climate emergency” in the country. One of them called the state of climate in the world “terrifying” and said that America had to take action immediately to address it.
Officers evacuated the area after detaining the two activists, clearing out other civilians.
Fischer, in a thread after the posted clip, explained that one of the activists, who he referred to as Donald, has participated in many climate activism protests before.
The journalist wrote, “Donald, who participated today, was also arrested blocking traffic yesterday.”
Declare Emergency, the organization Donald is associated with, writes in its X bio, “We are deeply within a climate emergency state but people are not aware of it.,” quoting Professor Hans Schellnhuber.

The Russian Military is reportedly working on developing a nuclear weapon to be deployed in space that is being designed to wipe out entire Western satellite networks and knock out communications and military targeting systems, according to U.S. intelligence.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) sounded the alarm in a message that he sent to Members that said the Committee “has identified an urgent matter with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all Congressional Policy Makers.”
Turner said in a statement that while all House members are able to view some of the information about the “serious national security threat,” he wants Biden to “declassify all information relating to this threat so that Congress, the Administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.”
ABC News reported that the nuclear weapon would not be deployed against targets on earth, but rather is designed to target satellites.

Workers at Disneyland, including performers who play the beloved characters of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Cinderella, are looking to unionize. Labor organizers said they want better safety conditions and scheduling policies for the workers.
The employees are looking to join the Actors’ Equity Association, which represents workers in live theatrical performance.
“Disney workers are openly and powerfully invested in and loyal to the Walt Disney Company and its values, so it’s reasonable for them to expect ‘the happiest place on earth’ to pay them fairly and prioritize their health and safety,” said Kate Shindle, president of Actors’ Equity Association told Reuters.
Under federal law, Disney will be required to sit down with Equity’s representatives at the bargaining table and negotiate a contract following a vote in favor to unionize, the union added.
The union represent more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers.
In addition to castor members, other workers included in the bargaining unit are hosts, trainers and other support roles.
Disneyland has been accused of not paying its workers enough to live in Southern California, despite raking in profits.
Last year, Disney was one of several media giants impacted by the 118-day SAG-AFTRA as performers demanded higher pay and protection against the use of artificial intelligence.

An award-winning Penn State professor arrested in a sickening bestiality case faces more charges after videos emerged of him allegedly engaged in lewd acts in a park — including inserting a tree branch and lollipop in his butt.
Themis Matsoukas, 64, was already facing charges of open lewdness, indecent exposure, sexual intercourse with an animal and animal cruelty after police said he’d been seen on video involved in sexual acts with a pet collie.
The chemical engineering professor begged troopers to kill him — while saying the sex acts helped him “blow off steam,” according to an initial criminal complaint in June.
Gee, This Isn’t a Waste of Money

A federal government agency tasked with promoting scientific progress and securing national defense is dumping nearly one million taxpayer dollars into an effort to make biology “inclusive” by denying that there are only two genders.
The National Science Foundation is granting three institutions the large sum of money based on the claim that “biology courses often inaccurately categorize sex and gender as binary.” The study, titled “Collaborative Research: A qualitative inquiry into sex/gender narratives in undergraduate biology and their impacts on transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming students,” hopes to make undergraduate biology classes more “inclusive” for transgender students, in part by denying the fact that sex is binary.
The effort to deny biological reality with taxpayer dollars comes amid a broader push from the Biden administration to leverage the federal bureaucracy to advance far-left beliefs, with large grants flowing towards efforts to embed extreme ideologies in America’s institutions. The National Science Foundation calls the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda a “high priority,” and boasts that it has multiple identity-based employee resource groups, including one for “LGBTQ+ and Allies.”
Three academic institutions, the University of Minnesota, Colorado State University, and Florida International University, have all received government funding to partake in the study, with a total of $905,694 taxpayer dollars slated to go towards the effort, according to government funding disclosures. The government funding was awarded by the National Science Foundation, a federal agency tasked with promoting scientific progress and securing national defense.
“The oversimplification of sex and gender into binary categories can make biology classrooms particularly challenging for TNG students,” the award abstract reads, referring to those who identify as transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming. The description goes on to claim “early data suggest that how sex and gender topics are represented in the biology curriculum impacts TNG students’ sense of belonging and interest in biology.”
