Episode 1031 – We Need to Have This Discussion

Washington DC has decided to give up on the BLM narrative and have finally decided to clean up all of the state-sponsored grafitti.

With BLM going by the wayside, we need to take a look at the George Floyd death and have an honest conversation.

And violence is about to hit New York City after ICE arrests a pro-terrorist activist.

They Finally Got It

According to the Daily Wire:

Road crews got to work on Monday destroying a massive street mural with painted lettering that read, “Black Lives Matter,” leading directly to the White House in Washington, D.C.

In videos and pictures that surfaced on X, construction workers with large construction equipment such as skip loaders started jack-hammering the 35-foot bright yellow letters of Black Lives Matter Plaza, which were initially constructed along 16th Street NW, just down the street from the White House, following the death of George Floyd in 2020.

Fox News’s Katie Pavlich wrote on X, “Black Lives Matter Plaza is being dismantled in Washington D.C.” Her post included videos of a machine tearing into the brick road and breaking up the bright yellow mural with the words “Black Lives Matter” painted on the strip of road that went for blocks.

Goodbye, Bitch!

According to the AP:

Federal immigration authorities arrested a Palestinian activist Saturday who played a prominent role in Columbia University’s protests against Israel, a significant escalation in the Trump administration’s pledge to detain and deport student activists.

Mahmoud Khalil, a graduate student at Columbia until this past December, was inside his university-owned apartment Saturday night when several Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents entered and took him into custody, his attorney, Amy Greer, told The Associated Press.

Greer said she spoke by phone with one of the ICE agents during the arrest, who said they were acting on State Department orders to revoke Khalil’s student visa. Informed by the attorney that Khalil was in the United States as a permanent resident with a green card, the agent said they were revoking that instead, according to the lawyer.

This Is Terrorism

According to the Post Millennial:

X, formerly known as Twitter, has experienced intermittent outages on Monday after a “massive cyberattack,” owner Elon Musk said, with users not being able to access various features of the popular social media platform owned by Elon Musk.

According to Downdetector, which gathers data from users who report outages on various services, users first started reporting issues at around 6 am Eastern, peaking with around 21,000 reports. Issues appeared to be resolved until another spike occurred around 10 am, with over 40,000 users reporting issues. The latest spike in reported issues began around 11 am, with over 35,000 users reporting issues. The latest outage appeared to resolve around 1:30, but was short-lived as reports of issues once again surged and waned.

Musk wrote on Monday afternoon, “There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing…”

According to Newsweek, the hacker group known as “Dark Storm” took credit for the DDoS attack on the popular social media platform. Cyber threat research team Check Point Research (CPR) told the outlet that the pro-Palestinian hacker group has resurfaced after a period of time with no activity. The hacker group largely targets countries like the US, Ukraine, the UAE, and Israel.

Among the successful targets of Dark Storm in the last month was the Los Angeles International Airport, the UAE’s Ministry of Defense, and Israel’s Haifa Port.

No, She Hit Her

The X post refers to an incident at the VSHL Class 3 State Indoor Championships in Virginia, where high school runner Alaila Everett struck Kaelen Tucker with a baton during a 4x200m relay race at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex, causing Tucker to suffer a concussion and possible skull fracture.

Tucker and her family are seeking an apology from Everett, who claims the action was unintentional, while Everett’s mother defends her, insisting she would never intentionally harm anyone.

The incident led to I.C. Norcom High School, Everett’s team, being disqualified for “contact interference,” and the event has sparked discussions about accountability and emotional control in sports.
