The world loses a great comedian.

And the Great Replacement Theory is in full effect. The Left isn’t even hiding the ball anymore. Let’s talk about it.

Why Are They Not Welcome?

Recent Refugee Arrivals from South Africa to the United States

Overview

In May 2025, the United States admitted the first group of white South Africans, primarily Afrikaners, as refugees under a new policy enacted by the Trump administration. This move marks a significant departure from previous U.S. refugee policy, which had largely halted admissions for most other groups fleeing war, famine, and persecution1054.

Who Are the Refugees?

  • The group consists of 49 to 59 white South Africans, mainly families and some young couples, who claim to have faced racial discrimination, violence, and job denials in South Africa due to their ethnicity1235911.
  • Afrikaners are descendants of Dutch settlers and were the ruling white minority during South Africa’s apartheid era113.
  • Their arrival was facilitated by a chartered flight from Johannesburg to Washington, D.C., with plans for resettlement in various U.S. states, including Iowa, Idaho, and New York910.

Policy Context and Process

  • President Trump issued an executive order in February 2025, directing the State Department to prioritize the resettlement of Afrikaners, citing “government-sponsored racial discrimination” and violence against white farmers in South Africa18910.
  • The refugee admission process for this group was expedited, taking only a few months, compared to the years-long process typical for other refugee groups3104.
  • This policy shift occurred while the Trump administration maintained a near-total suspension of refugee admissions from other countries, including those affected by war and famine, such as Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo357.

Controversy and Criticism

  • The South African government has strongly denied claims of systematic discrimination or “genocide” against white South Africans, calling the U.S. initiative “politically motivated” and a misrepresentation of the country’s internal affairs176.
  • South African President Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed the narrative of white persecution as “completely false” and labeled those leaving as “cowards,” predicting they would eventually return167.
  • Human rights groups and refugee advocates have criticized the U.S. decision, noting the inconsistency of admitting white South Africans while excluding refugees from other crisis regions754.

Here is Julius Malema, head of the Economic Freedom Fighters:

That would include the Episcopal church, which has just made its intentions pretty clear on the topic. Because the Trump administration dared to save white people from persecution, the Episcopal Church is now ending its long-standing partnership with the federal government to help resettle refugees. This is one of the most extraordinary “mask-off moments” you will ever see. These people have no problem resettling Somalians and Haitians and tens of thousands of other people who hate this country and want to abuse our charity. But the moment they’re asked to resettle white people, they completely shut down. Here’s the relevant portion of a letter from the leader of the Episcopal Church:

“Just over two weeks ago, the federal government informed Episcopal Migration Ministries that under the terms of our federal grant, we are expected to resettle white Afrikaners from South Africa whom the U.S. government has classified as refugees. In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step. Accordingly, we have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.”
