Episode 1196 – Hate the Rich…Until They Leave!

A judge decides to apologize to the would-be Trump assassin because jail is not comfortable.

Zohran Mamdani f-s around and finds out. Will any of the other socialists in the Democrat party learn from him?

And Gavin Newsom tries to convince us his state isn’t bleeding citizens. His presidential aspirations are swirling down the drain.

It’s Not Meant to be Comfortable

According to Fox News:

A federal judge on Monday decried the prison treatment of President Donald Trump‘s alleged would-be assassin, and apologized to him for restrictive confinement imposed by jail staff.

Cole Allen, 31, has been in federal custody since prosecutors say he attempted to gain access to White House Correspondents’ Dinner ballroom and kill Trump along with other high-level government officials.

Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui told an attorney representing the Department of Corrections (DOC) that he was “fascinated and disturbed” by Allen’s treatment in jail. Allen was placed on suicide watch when he was first imprisoned.

Suicide watch protocols mandated that Cole remain 24-hour lockdown in a “safe cell,” have no phone access to call or receive visits from anyone other than his legal team, according to the motion. His lawyers also wanted him to be able to obtain a tablet to assist in his legal defense.

He was also allegedly denied a copy of the Bible despite more than one request.

Prosecutor Jocelyn Ballantine reasoned that since Allen told investigators he did not expect to survive the alleged attack, he could be a danger to himself.

But an incredulous Faruqui wasn’t convinced by that argument. The judge drew comparisons between Allen and defendants arrested for rioting at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

“To me it’s extremely disturbing that he was put in five-point restraints, a person with no criminal history,” Faruqui said, later adding that Allen is presumed innocent. “It’s troubling. I never heard of one January 6 defendant who was put in five-point restraints or in a safe cell. If the only way to keep him safe is the most punitive thing, that’s a problem.”

The judge said even January 6 defendants were only house in a Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF), a less restrictive form of prison housing.

“Pardons may erase convictions, but they don’t erase history,” he said. “They were hanging gallows outside.”

“What am I to say to Allen that this is going to be a fair process if we’re putting him in a safe cell when he’s not supposed to be in there?” Faruqui said. “At a minimum I should be apologizing to him. We are obligated to make sure he’s taken care of. Mr. Allen, I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to.”

He also addressed Allen directly.

“The jail is going to let me know by tomorrow morning about what’s going on with your housing situation,” he said, “If not, I’m going to have more questions for them. We should be able to get you into the medium portion of the jail, with windows.”

“Legal visits, ask for legal visits, do not accept that these things are acceptable,” Faruqui advised. “We will get you the Bible. If we can get someone vegan food we can get you a Bible, we can make sure you’re not in five-point restraints.”

The judge ordered the jail to update him by tomorrow morning about Allen’s jail accommodations.

There are some things about the judge:

  • In 2023, Faruqui, against the wishes of prosecutors, ordered the release of a man accused of assaulting Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) in her Washington, D.C., apartment elevator.
  • Couy Griffin, a former New Mexico county commissioner who founded the political group “Cowboys for Trump,” was sentenced to 14 days behind bars for a misdemeanor trespass charge. Griffin entered a restricted area on January 6, 2021, but never entered the Capitol.
    • 14 days in solitary confinement, by the way.
  • The Georgetown Pakistan Public Policy Conclave and the Muslim Bar Association of New York have pages highlighting Faruqui’s career.
  • The Washington Council of Lawyers supporting his nomination to the District Court of Columbia stated:
    • “As the first Muslim Judge to be appointed to the Federal Court in Washington D.C., Judge Faruqui has also devoted much of his career to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.”
    • The 2023 letter states that Judge Faruqui has “led efforts to reform the criminal justice system.”
  • Seven months ago, he claimed the DOJ had lost credibility under the Trump administration, which provoked a fiery response from U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro.
    • Jeanine Pirro responded: “Judge Faruqui has never really met someone with an illegal gun that he hasn’t felt some compassion for. He should do his job as a judge and leave his politics out of it.”

What A Dumbass!

Yeah, his message that billionaire New Yorkers aren’t moving out of New York City is not getting to those billionaires. This is what Mamdani announced last week.

Two things that you should be aware of:

  • He is saying regular New Yorkers are going to end up getting taxed to get the government out of its deficit.
  • He fails to mention that he is over $5 billion over budget.

Do you notice these limousine socialists always say they don’t need rich people? That is, until they do leave and take their money with them. Kathy Hochul said the same thing about billionaires leaving in 2022, and, guess what, they left. Then, in 2026, she was begging them to come back.

Here is socialist Mayor of Seattle, Katie Wilson, saying the same thing when asked about Billion and millionaire leaving Washington State because of her proposed wealth tax:

Living in a Dream

According to the New York Post:

A grim new report found California lost more than 50,000 residents last year, leaving Gov. Gavin Newsom and state officials talking out of both sides of their mouths on which direction the state is headed.

On Friday, the state’s Department of Finance issued a defensive press release blaming a “full year of restrictive federal policy changes” on legal international migration, which slashed California’s population growth by more than half. The agency dismissed the loss of tens of thousands of people as a “slight” population drop that represented less than one-seventh of 1%.

But on Friday evening, Newsom appeared on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” and claimed the state is actually growing.

California also has the highest taxes, highest homeless, highest number of illegal aliens (all on California benefits), highest rents, highest property prices, highest gas prices, and some of the highest crime rates.

He’s also talking about population growth because of illegal immigration.

Four of the state’s 10 biggest cities — including Los Angeles at No. 1 — saw their populations decline last year, with the City of Angels (3.8 million people) seeing a 0.9% decrease in residents. Los Angeles County (9.8 million) also saw a 0.6% decline to claim the top spot among declining counties.

Overall, the state’s ten largest counties — home to 72% of Californians — lost a combined 52,000 residents.

U-Haul moving truck prices are a re indicator of migration patterns in the United States.

What a Shock

According to the New York Post:

The deranged firebug accused of igniting the devastating Palisades Fire had become “fixated” on Luigi Mangione in the lead-up to the deadly blaze — and then allegedly suggested the inferno was started out of “resentment of the rich,” prosecutors said.

Jonathan Rinderknecht, 30, was obsessed with the accused health care CEO killer and had routinely searched “free Luigi Mangione” and “lets take down all the billionaires” online, court documents show.

In the weeks and hours before allegedly sparking the blaze that triggered the catastrophic Palisades Fire, Rinderknecht — who worked as an Uber driver — ranted to customers about Mangione’s arrest, too.

“Many of defendant’s Uber passengers on December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025, described defendant as angry, intense, driving erratically, and ranting about being ‘pissed off at the world’ and Luigi Mangione, capitalism, and vigilantism,” prosecutors noted in a trial memorandum.

When asked why someone would ultimately set the blaze, Rinderknecht allegedly responded that it “would be out of resentment of the rich enjoying their money as ‘we’re basically being enslaved by them’ and compared such an act of ‘desperation’ to the murder for which Mangione was charged,” according to the memo.

Rinderknecht has pleaded not guilty to a string of federal arson charges for sparking the inferno that leveled 7,000 homes and businesses, caused $150 billion in damages and left 12 people dead in early 2025.

The alleged firebug has been jailed without bail since his arrest last October.
