The commission that Joe Biden gathered together to analyze packing the court has released a draft of their report.

The Afghanistan debacle is not being investigated…sort of.

And New York City’s Bill de Blasio helps to prove Donald Trump was right.

 

The Report is Out

Some months ago, Joe Biden set up a commission to analyze whether or not it would be legal and feasible to make changes to the Supreme Court including packing the court. A draft was released and published by the White House.

It found that it would be legal for the government to expand the court:

The risks of Court expansion are considerable, including that it could undermine the very goal of some of its proponents of restoring the Court’s legitimacy.

This was a bipartisan commission and there were some who thought it might be a good idea to expand the court.

The report added:

We have not sought to determine whether any particular perspective on the confirmation process or on the Court’s composition today is ‘correct,’ any lawmaker contemplating Supreme Court reform should be aware that the pursuit of immediate Court expansion would involve taking a position in a partisan contest in which opinion is deeply divided.

The report said that a more diverse court might be a good thing. It said:

Decisions by a more diverse judiciary might be more informed. More generally, a Court that was drawn from a broader cross-section of society might be viewed as more acceptable to the public.

This makes sense. Remember, you don’t have a lot of people from the Midwest on the Supreme Court. A lot of people on the court are from the East Coast. There are people who are experts at Constitutional law who didn’t go to Harvard, Columbia or Yale. Even in apelet courts located in smaller states, judges from big cities on one of the coasts.

This is going to be a big year for the Supreme Court which is why the Left wants to pack the court. Roe versus Wade is going to be judged on. The vaccine mandates are going to be judged. Critical Race Theory is schools and Radical Gender Theory are going to be looked at. Voting Rights laws are going to be a hot topic. Needless to say, now that the court is 6-3 Conservative (I’d say 5-4 with John Roberts), the Left is panicking.

The Left is flipping out at this report. Mark Joseph from Slate magazine said:

This report is an abomination. It assumes that today’s Supreme Court is basically apolitical while fretting that reforms with any real teeth would politicize it, and potentially break democracy. Republicans must be thrilled with this outcome. It’s a gift to the GOP.

Of course, when the court was Left leaning, Mark had no issue with it.

President Russ Feingold of the American Constitution Society, a Leftist organization, said:

The discussion materials released today, unfortunately, fail to match the urgency of the situation and do not lay out a solution to the legitimacy crisis before us.

Do something is code for get rid of the Conservatives on the court. Urgency of the situation means, “we could actually lose some cases (let’s face it, Roe versus Wade is a terrible decision).

Listen, Joe Biden is not for packing the court. Nancy Pelosi isn’t really for packing the court. The radicals are for packing the court. I want you to remember this little article when the first Leftist policy gets shot down by the court. I wonder if there is going to be an insurrection when that happens.

We Knew This Was Coming

The State Department’s Inspector General is going to be doing an investigation on the Afghanistan exit.

According to Fox News:

The reviews will focus on the State Department’s Special Immigrant Visa program, Afghans processed for refugee admission into the U.S., resettlement of refugees and visa recipients, and the emergency evacuation of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, according to an Oct. 15 memo to Secretary of State Blinken first reported by Politico and confirmed by Fox News.

Diana Shaw will be the IG investigating the debacle. She wrote to Congress:

Given the elevated interest in this work by Congress and the unique circumstances requiring coordination across the Inspector General community, I wanted to notify our committees of jurisdiction of this important work.

This will be set up as a “series of projects” that will inspect the above.

I think this is great but I won’t lie: I don’t have any confidence in it. This is a a Biden administration and she belongs to it. I’m sure these projects will last for years and come out with some crap that says everything was good to go with that disaster in Afghanistan. That means we’re going to have to trust Congress to investigate.

This Has Deeper Meaning

Last week, a commission, appointed by communist and idiot Bill de Blasio, decided to move a statue of Thomas Jefferson from the New York City’s city hall.

A local ABC affiliate reported:

The statue, which dates back to 1833, was expected to go on ‘long term loan’ to the New-York Historical Society by the end of the year, where it would be included in educational exhibits with the proper historical context that likely will include discussion of Jefferson’s slave ownership.

He also was the third President, wrote the Declaration of Independence and Constitution which created the freest and greatest country in world history.

This group that de Blasio created is called the Black, Latino and Asian Caucus. Notice no white people. That’s racist. They said:

This Administration owes it to the more than five million New Yorkers of color our members – past, present and future – represent, to resolve that the individuals memorialized within the confines of our People’s House be reflective not only of the best traditions of our city’s history and its diversity but unquestionable character.

Again, only the people of color. Screw white people. By the way, the smart phones those guys are tweeting from was invented by the country Thomas Jefferson started.

Charles Barron, a New York Assemblyman said:

How the hell can people see as a hero someone who had hundreds of enslaved Africans, someone who was a racist and who said we were inferior and someone who was a slaveholding pedophile? For him to be canonized in a statue is incredible — incredibly racist.

Couple of problems with this whole thing:

• Thomas Jefferson did own slaves.
  • JFK was a philanderer.
  • Bill Clinton was a philanderer.
  • Before you think I’m picking on Democrats, Ronald Reagan was a philanderer.
  • Martin Luther King Jr. was a philanderer and abused women.
  • Jesse Jackson was a philanderer.
  • Al Sharpton is a tax evader, anti-Semite, homophobe and anti-Asian.
• There is no evidence that Thomas Jefferson slept with 15-year-old Sally Hemmings. None.
• There is evidence that it was Jefferson’s brother that may have slept with Hemmings. There is no way to prove any of this.
• Thomas Jefferson fell in love with a singer after his wife died. Any affair he had was short lived.
• At 15 years old, women were married and had 8 kids by then. This was not considered abnormal back then.

Listen, this whole thing is not about Thomas Jefferson. Because, if it was, they would go after all those people I mentioned. This is about destroying America’s founding and anything that was great.

• The Constitution and Declaration of Independence are in the way of the Left. Best way to invalidate them is to bash the writer.
• Columbus did the amazing thing of discovering American. That is an accomplishment of Western Civilization. The best way to invalidate that is by bashing Columbus.
• Thomas Edison didn’t invent the lightbulb. It was a black guy (Lewis Latimer).
• Mark Twain is the greatest writer in American history, who was an abolitionist. America is bad. He’s a racist. Ban Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
• Lincoln didn’t fight the Civil War to free the slaves but to keep power.
• The Founding Father fought the Revolution to keep slavery (1619 Project).

This is all to eliminate history. American history is exceptional. The Left doesn’t think America is awesome. They want another failed system like communism. A system that promotes poverty, slavery and genocide.
