Episode 600 – Now You Deal with It!

Illegal immigration is coming to the neighborhoods of the elites.

The government makes a bad deal to avoid a rail strike.

And people might finally taking the fentanyl crisis serious.

 

Now Deal With It!

The border crisis is getting worse. Texas and Arizona are being invaded and no one from the federal government is doing anything about it. Of course, Kamala Harris said the border is closed and secured. I played that clip yesterday. Well, here’s a clip from an illegal alien that was captured in Texas. He was asked if the border was open. His answer is not surprising.

The governors of Arizona, Texas and Florida have, over the past couple of months, have decided to send the illegal aliens to the sanctuary cities like Chicago, Washington DC and New York. This had exactly the effect that it was meant to. The mayors of those cities have thrown absolute fits.

  • Eric Adams of New York City has welcomed the illegal aliens but has said that their resources are strained.
    • He is actually paying for hotel rooms for illegal aliens families.
    • Many illegals, single men, are having issues finding jobs.
    • Some are ending up on the streets.
    • Adams is calling what Texas governor, Greg Abbott, is doing is cruel.
    • Of course he doesn’t say anything about Joe Biden leaving the border open.
  • Lori Lightfoot, mayor of Chicago, says the same thing.
    • She called Abbott a racist. I don’t know how he’s a racist.
    • She questioned his faith.
    • She requested help from the federal government.
    • She sent a bunch of illegals to a suburb of Chicago that is run by a Republican mayor.
      • They are not a sanctuary city.
      • They do not have the resources.
      • They sent the back.
  • Muriel Bowser, mayor of Washington DC, is also flipping out.
    • She’s also screaming they don’t have the resources to house these people.
    • She requested help from the federal government.
    • She requested the national guard be made active. Not sure what the national guard was going to do.
    • The federal government said no.

So there’s real panic going on in these “sanctuary cities” and they are not even being hit that hard. I think Chicago may have taken in a few hundred illegals. Nothing compared to what the border states are dealing with. Remember, the border states are taking in 7000 a day and that just who they are catching.

But the governors have decided to step things up a little.

  • Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida sent two plane loads of illegals to Martha’s Vineyard, home of the richest Democrats in the country. Barrack Obama lives in Martha’s Vineyard.
  • Governor Greg Abbott sent two bus loads of illegals to Maryland. The bus dropped the migrants off in front of Kamala Harris’ residence.

Karin Jean Pierre had some things so say about it. Here’s she goes of on Ron DeSantis:

Here she is being asked if the border is truly secured. Her answer is less than satisfying:

Yeah, they have no answer.

This is the kind of stuff that is going to spur change. When illegal aliens end up in the neighborhoods of the elites, demands to close the border will come.

A Crappy Deal

The United States government reached a deal that would avert a rail strike that was due to happen. It was a crappy deal. How do we know? The government won’t release details of the deal.

  • Talks started yesterday and went through the night.
  • Unions involved in the talks include the powerful International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, and SMART Transportation Division.
  •  The Association of American Railroads said it includes a 24% pay increase over the period covering 2020-2024, with an average $11,000 retroactive payout.
  • The deal goes to a vote by the union members.
  • Amtrak, which suspended some of its passenger service, has restored all services.

Who got screwed in this deal? We did, of course. The government makes these deals with unions with tax payer money (and it’s always with Democrats). The unions then take money and donate to the Democrat party and the circle continues. This is why the government should not have anything to do with unions (including public sector unions). The government never loses because they are just spending our money. It is really the most corrupt process in the government.

The union also had the Biden administration over a barrel. They knew that the government would give in to any of their demands because the economy would implode right before the election. That’s the last thing the Democrats needed. It was a very cynical move by the rail unions.

At Least There Is Some Acknowledgement Now

According to Fox News:

A bipartisan coalition of 18 state attorneys general are calling on President Biden to take “immediate and decisive action” to declare fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction — arguing that doing so could protect Americans from a “mass casualty event.”

In a letter to Biden, the 18 attorneys general — led by Florida AG Ashley Moody — note that fentanyl is “exacerbating the death toll increasing exponentially every year for the last several years.”

The letter to Joe Biden said:

“The purpose of this letter is to propose an unorthodox solution that may help abate or at least slow the crisis’s trajectory while also protecting Americans from a mass casualty event from fentanyl. We ask that you consider classifying illegal fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction or, if you conclude you do not have authority to do so, urge Congress to pass legislation to do so.”

This is exactly correct. Fentanyl has killed 108,000 people last year. It is so potent one can overdoes just handling it. It is so rampant right now that police officers carry Naloxone in order to counter overdoses. We know it comes from China. We know what ports it is being shipped to. We know which cartels are smuggling it into the United States. We know where the cartel leadership is. With 108,000 people dying, I think it is time to get the military involved and go after the cartels and the Chinese transports.

I said multiple times said that the cartels and China should be declared a clear and present danger which would allow the military to get involved. Is Mexico going to like it? Of course not but they also are not doing anything about it either so I really don’t care what they think.

This Is a Big Story

This is a huge story and I am a little shocked by it. According to the Washington Post:

The Supreme Court on Wednesday reversed course and said Yeshiva University in New York must for now comply with a state court’s order that it should recognize a campus gay rights organization.

On a 5-4 vote, the justices said the religious school for now should comply with a New York state trial court ruling that, as a public accommodation, Yeshiva was covered under the New York City Human Rights Law and required to provide the Pride Alliance the same access to facilities as dozens of other student groups. The group said that includes a classroom, bulletin boards and a club fair booth.

The university asked the Supreme Court to intervene, and last week Justice Sonia Sotomayor granted it a temporary reprieve. But on Wednesday a majority of the justices said it was too soon for the high court to get involved.
“It appears that applicants have at least two further avenues for expedited or interim state court relief,” the court’s short order said. If those fail, Yeshiva can return to the Supreme Court. Though unsigned, it was the work of Sotomayor, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., and Justices Elena Kagan, Brett M. Kavanaugh and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Basically, five members of the court said there are lower courts that can be used before going straight to the Supreme Court. I understand why the Lefties on the court don’t want to rule because this is a clear violation of the First Amendment and they don’t want to deal with it. John Roberts is an idiot and I don’t know what the hell is up with Brett Kavanaugh.
The Conservatives on the court made it clear they wanted to rule on this because it is so obviously a violation of the First Amendment. They said:
“The First Amendment guarantees the right to the free exercise of religion, and if that provision means anything, it prohibits a State from enforcing its own preferred interpretation of Holy Scripture. Yet that is exactly what New York has done in this case, and it is disappointing that a majority of this Court refuses to provide relief.”
Here’s what is going to happen. It is going to go through the lower courts. Chance are, this will be overruled in the lower courts because it is so obviously unconstitutional. If not, it will get to the Supreme Court and will be overruled by a 6-3 margin. So, it’s going to go away.
Here’s what bothers me about this. We are now watching the attack by the Left against religion. This isn’t going to go away. They are going to push that the religions support things like abortion, gay marriage, trans-ing kids, and CRT. They are going to push that religion violating the rights of Leftists and force them to promote Leftist ideology. They are already for taking away tax exempt for religions based on the fact that they don’t promote gay marriage.
