Episode 705 – The War Has Changed Front Lines

The front lines of the culture war have changed. The Left thinks they have won the trans war, now they’re going after religions. And shots have been fired.

According to the Post Millennial:

A community of Franciscan Catholic priests who gave pastoral care and administered religious services to veterans and service members of the US military were presented with a cease and desist order by Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland at the end of March because their religions care contract was terminated and awarded to a for-profit, secular agency.

According to the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) website, the Archbishop for the Military Services, Timothy P. Broglio, J.C.D., said, “It is incomprehensible that essential pastoral care is taken away from the sick and the aged when it was so readily available.  This is a classic case where the adage ‘if it is not broken, do not fix it’ applies.”

“I fear that giving a contract to the lowest bidder overlooked the fact that the bidder cannot provide the necessary service.  I earnestly hope that this disdain for the sick will be remedied at once and their First Amendment rights will be respected,” Archbishop Broglio added.

Something to point out, the company that took over cannot, and will not, provide the same services as the Franciscan priests which is part of the contract. There is only one priest left at the hospital and he is not a permanent fixture.

What were these guys fighting for? How did this country come about? What did our Founding Fathers model this country on?

What a Shock…California

According to Resist the Mainstream:

A San Diego County Christian preschool is suing the state of California for pulling the plug on the school’s state meal funding, saying its traditional stance on gender and sexuality violated a new state law.

The Church of Compassion’s Dayspring Christian Learning Center—a preschool and daycare in El Cajon, Calif., serving nearly 90 students—filed a lawsuit against the state March 15 for “deprivation of the free exercise of religion” and “deprivation of free speech”, as well as alleged “hostility against religion.”

The school received a letter from the state’s Social Services Department last October, denying its application for continued meal funding, saying the school’s stance on marriage and sexuality violated a new state law.

Dayspring’s 21-page employee handbook requires staff to “model Christlike behavior” and prohibits “living with someone with whom you are not married, homosexuality, lesbianism … or any behavior that is deemed not to conform to the Bible.”

According to the department’s letter, “these actions show intent to discriminate against individuals based on sexual orientation and gender identity in violation of state law.”

Let’s Criminalize Christianity

According to the Daily Wire:

FBI authorities purged from its system an unclassified intelligence document that targeted traditional Catholics following a whistleblower leak.

FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin says the document, first published in UncoverDC, specifically points to “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists in radical-traditionalist Catholic ideology.” Through tripwires and liaisons, which are trusted contacts, Seraphin noted, the FBI can employ threat mitigation against such groups ahead of the next election.

The document draws attention to the so-called Radical-Traditional Catholic, described as someone who rejects the Second Vatican Council as a valid church council, shows disdain for most of the popes elected since Vatican II, and frequently adheres to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacy ideology.

Mind you, this is an unclassified, experimental document that was purged. The thing to understand is that the FBI does consider some religious institutions to be extremist though the information in this document. This document was created through information taken from Left wing sources such as Salon, The Atlantic and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

When asked about this by the Daily Wire, the FBI responded back tot he E-mail:

“While our standard practice is to not comment on specific intelligence products, this particular field office product — disseminated only within the FBI — regarding racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism does not meet the exacting standards of the FBI. Upon learning of the document, FBI Headquarters quickly began taking action to remove the document from FBI systems and conduct a review of the basis for the document.

“The FBI is committed to sound analytic tradecraft and to investigating and preventing acts of violence and other crimes while upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans and will never conduct investigative activities or open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity.”

This should have been it but it’s not. That’s because the FBI has been going after anyone it doesn’t like through the belief they are all domestic terrorists.

  • It went after Father Fidelis Moscinski for violating the FACE act when he protested abortion.
  • It went after Mark Houck for “violating” the FACE act for praying in front of an abortion clinic and then getting harassed by a clinic employee.
  • Churches were forced to close during COVID.
  • Priests and pastors were arrested for opening their churches during COVID.
  • It’s not a hate crime to vandalize a pregnancy resource center.
  • It’s not a hate crime to vandalize a Catholic church.
  • It’s not even a hate crime to kill kids at a Christian school.

This caught the eye of Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio and head of the Judiciary Committee. He sent a letter to the FBI demanding answers.

In the letter, he said:

“Based on the limited information produced by the FBI to the Committee, we now know that the FBI relied on at least one undercover agent to produce its analysis, and that the FBI proposed that its agents engage in outreach to Catholic parishes to develop sources among the clergy and church leadership to inform on Americans practicing their faith.”

The letter continues:

“Americans attend church to worship and congregate for their spiritual and personal betterment. They must be free to exercise their fundamental First Amendment rights without worrying that the FBI may have planted so-called “tripwire” sources or other informants in their houses of worship.”

The FBI responded by saying that they would always cooperate and is preparing documentation to send to Congress. We’ll see how long it takes for that to happen. The FBI has a tendency to drag its feet if it isn’t arresting an anti-abortion advocate.

A Latin mass attendee, a type of mass that was eliminated by Vatican II and the current pope, had a great message for the FBI.

Mind you, this guy would be considered a terrorist because he still celebrates the Latin mass against the pope’s edict. But that s the best message from the Catholics and the rest of the real Christian churches. Come and visit. Politics are not really talked about and we are not sacrificing goats, children of trans people on our alters.

Not a lot of terrorism happening.

That a Boy!

I don’t listen to Punk Rock. Never could get into it. But there is something about Punk Rock stars. They’re actually quite intelligent and anti-establishment. Where Punk Rock is is the opposite of the establishment. Punk Rock celebrates the counterculture. They go out of their way to be against anything that the culture is pushing.

With that being said, here is a story from the Daily Wire:

The Australian musician, best known as the frontman of “Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds,” has opened up about his journey back to his faith, which he describes as conflicting and complicated.

The rockstar told UnHerd’s Freddie Sayers last week that he wasn’t anti-establishment early in his career, as rockstars generally were. Instead, he tried to “irritate” his peers and his audience.

How does he irritate the establishment and his audience? Here he is answering that question:

I have said, for a few years now, that Conservatives are no longer the mainstream. We are the counterculture. We can not put the religious are also part of the counterculture. When Punk Rock comes over to our side, that is just more evidence.

But there is something important about this. Kids love the counterculture. They love being rebels. They love pissing off their parents. Can you just imagine Lefty parents blowing a gasket because their kids start dressing in their Sunday best; without tattoos and pierced everywhere, going to church? Just to piss off their parents?

I’m going to go out on a limb but this could happen. Especially since Leftist parents are doing such illogical things.
