The campus riots look to be winding down, even in blue cities.
Joe Biden keeps to the Brave New World playbook.
And when are we going to see dumb politicians as dumb and get rid of them?
News
Here is some news:
- A large number of New York Police Department officers swarmed Columbia University’s campus on Tuesday after the school finally gave the department permission to enter and help regain control after pro-Hamas extremists illegally overtook a building this week. Dozens were arrested and all the barricade were removed.
- Northwestern and Brown Universities have agreed to a settlement ending negotiations with the pro-terrorist protestors. This includes investigating what pro-Israeli businesses the universities are investing in.
- Both China and Iran have released statements supporting the protests.
- By the way, Joe Biden has quietly released $6.1 billion in student loan handouts.
- President Joe Biden is reportedly considering bringing Palestinians to the United States as refugees as he looks to assuage the anger he faces from anti-Semites within his own party who are angry about his administration’s support for Israel in its war against Hamas.
- Weird how Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Kuwait, Syria and Saudi Arabia don’t want Palestinians into their country.
- President Joe Biden’s Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is reportedly moving to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
- The reported change would downgrade marijuana from being a Schedule I drug alongside drugs like heroin and cocaine to a Schedule III substance, meaning it could be obtained with a prescription.
- Meanwhile, Biden is looking to ban menthol cigarettes.
- This is right out of the Brave New World playbook. In that book, the government required the people to take the drug soma to pacify the people under their tyranny.
Just Dumb
According to The Guardian:
In 1952, as a Republican candidate for vice-president, Richard Nixon stirred criticism by admitting receiving a dog, Checkers, as a political gift.
In 2012, as the Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney was pilloried for tying a dog, Seamus, to the roof of the family car for a cross-country trip.
But in 2024 Kristi Noem, a strong contender to be named running mate to Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, has managed to go one further – by admitting killing a dog of her own.
“Cricket was a wirehair pointer, about 14 months old,” the South Dakota governor writes in a new book, adding that the dog, a female, had an “aggressive personality” and needed to be trained to be used for hunting pheasant.
What unfolds over the next few pages shows how that effort went very wrong indeed – and, remarkably, how Cricket was not the only domestic animal Noem chose to kill one day in hunting season.
This has gone viral. The Left and the Right are throwing fits about this.
Some things about this:
- There were some things left out of the article.
- The dog had disciplinary problems. It was known to attack people.
- It broke into a chicken coup and killed a bunch of chickens.
- It would have probably been put down by animal control.
- She is a candidate for vice president but she shouldn’t be.
- She’s from a very small state.
- She reportedly had an affair during her marriage.
- She vetoed a law that would ban trans people from competing in sports. She’s not that Conservative.
- The media sees her as a Conservative. Trump needs someone more moderate.
- She is stupid. Why would a politician ever say they did this in a book? A smart politician would never bring this up.
- Everyone needs to knock off their pearl clutching.

What About the Parents
According to the Post Millennial:
On Wednesday, the then-17-year-old Florida student who was arrested after he assaulted a teacher’s aide for taking his Nintendo Switch filed a complaint against Flagler Schools with the Florida Department of Education which blamed the school for the incident.
While Brendan Depa pleaded no contest to “aggravated battery of a school employee,” his attorney Stephanie Langer told FOX 35 the incident was avoidable.
According to the complaint, Depa is a student with “Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Mood Disorder, and ADHD” and that “had the student’s needs been properly addressed and had the staff around him been properly trained, this incident would not have occurred.”
“What we saw was a complete failure to do any evidence-based intervention practices to change his problem behaviors as identified by the school district,” Langer said. “It’s not about negating what he did or excusing what he did, but it’s holding the system accountable to make sure that kids get the support and services they need, so we never have another Brendan who goes out and hurts a paraprofessional or hurts anybody.”
“Had the school system acted in the right way, this incident would never have happened, and the 17-year-old, now 18 years old, would not … be in jail today and would not be facing such significant penalties for his conduct that day,” she claimed.
Video from the attack made national news in February 2023 after “a school resource deputy was notified that a teacher’s aide had been physically attacked on campus. Officials said the woman was unconscious, bloody, and had severe injuries.”
I do want to point out a couple of things. First, this kid is 6-foot-6, 270-pounds. He beat the crap out of someone half his size. The teacher suffered from a concussion, five broken ribs and hearing loss in one of her ears.
The guy pled no contest and will be sentenced this week. He’s black, the teacher is white so I would bet he gets no jail time even though he could get 30 years in prison. I don’t care if he has mental problems, he should get 30 years in prison. He’s dangerous.
Finally, I did not know a Nintendo Switch was a necessary tool in school. Why did his parents allow him to take the game to school? Why aren’t they in any trouble? It seems to be they are mostly to blame for this. If I were that teacher, I would sue them.
