Today is the day. Election day! I know, this is probably the most consequential election of our lifetimes. Some would say 2016 was the biggest election of our lifetimes. Some say it was 2012. I think this is the one. Mainly because Trump was already president, everyone knows what he will do, and a substantial portion of the public already have an opinion.
After Hilary lost, the Left was just in shock and couldn’t conceive of what to do. The panicked and started just making shit up to make Trump irrelevant. The Russia hoax, the pee tape, the Ukraine hoaxes, the “very fine people” hoax, two impeachments. Nothing worked.
That same panic happened again when he won the primaries by a blowout. The Left was intent on sullying Trump’s character. When that didn’t work, they tries to take his wealth and property. When That didn’t work, they tried to throw him in jail. They called him a racist, sexist, xenophobe, transphobe, rapist, fascist, and Nazi. When none of that worked, they tried to kill him. We cannot be surprised by the lengths the Left will go to to rid themselves of the orange-haired horror.
Elections have consequences. If Trump wins, there is a very good chance Trump will go over the real fascists, the Deep State. Those bureaucracies that hold a heavy hand over our lives. Deep state departments like the DOJ, CIA, FBI, DHS, EPA, HHS, IRS and CBO that have spent their entire existence making up laws with no oversite and tearing this country apart. Can Trump eliminate these bureaucracies down? Maybe not. But he can take away their main weapon: That of the regulation. He can fire vast swaths of Leftist bureaucrat leadership. He can cut their income. He can call them out on their lies and enact the consequences they deserve. This would be a pretty good start.
We have finally seen who is really running this country. President Biden has been a complete vegetable for the last four years. We all can see he doesn’t know what is going on in the country and the world. We have seen the Vice President Harris is a complete moron, more concerned about playing Solitaire than about the areas she was in charge of including the border, voting rights or NASA. Everything she has touched has been a failure.
That’s what scares the Left. They love bureaucratic dictatorships. Afterall, they love communism and bureaucratic dictatorships are a key building block to communism. Donald Trump, if he wins, will be in charge. He will use Congress to get his laws passed. He will run the country using the same document the Left abhors, the Constitution. He will put in Supreme Court justices that will bow to the wise words of the Constitution.
If Trump loses, he will end up in prison and probably broke. The bureaucracy will continue to rule behind the false ideologies of environmentalism, LGBTQIA+ madness and diversity, equity and inclusion. They will continue to divide the country, gaining more power for themselves. A divided country is important because if I see the b lack man as an enemy and he’s sees me as his, we will not be looking at the real enemy.
But it could be worse than that. The Left want to eliminate the filibuster. They want to make Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico states. They want to expand the Supreme Court. They want to continue unchecked illegal immigration and make all illegal aliens Democratic voters. They want to control for the next 100 years, if we have a country by then.
Are you scared? Do you feel hopeless? Has my fear-mongering shook the very pillars of your soul? Sorry about that. I can be a bit dramatic at times.
The first thing I want to point out is that Republicans look like they will win both the Senate and the House of Representatives. They may even be able to make dents in deep blue states like California and New York. It turns out living in dystopian hellscapes may change some voting habits.
The next reason is a little deeper.
Andrew Klavan, the great writer of the Cameron Winter series of mystery novels, said it doesn’t matter if Trump wins or not. Yes, Trump will have to deal with the blow back of DOJ weaponization. He will probably end up in jail for a period of time. Someone will probably try to kill him again. But he has done more than shaken the ground of politics. He has changed the culture.
Donald Trump is America. He represents opportunity. He represents success. He represents failure. He represents our virtues and our sins. He represents the courage and fighting spirit that made this country. He represents the sanity and common sense that this country really lacks right now. Those qualities have leaked into the culture metastasized. The culture is infected by Trump and it only took ten years.
Trump has already won. Let’s make is official. Go out and vote. It’s all going to be OK.
