• What is hate speech? Who determines it?
• What are you going to do when you find “hate speech”?
• Why are you looking for it? Doesn’t New York have enough of a real violence issue to put this on the back burner?
• Does New York have that much money, people and time for all this?

This is simply about power and keeping it. Democrats are threatened. This is straight out of a communist, Marxist, Great Reset playbooks.

Weird How That Happens

According to the Daily Wire:

Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams was approached by FBI agents earlier this week who confiscated his cell phones as federal investigators probe allegations that the mayor’s 2021 campaign conspired with the Turkish government.

Adams was confronted by the FBI while walking on the street with his security detail, The New York Times reported. The agents proceeded to get into Adams’ SUV with the mayor before taking two cell phones and an iPad. The devices were returned to the mayor within days, two people with knowledge of the seizure told the Times, but it was unclear whether the FBI agents’ action was a part of the investigation into corruption allegations.

“After learning of the federal investigation, it was discovered that an individual had recently acted improperly. In the spirit of transparency and cooperation, this behavior was immediately and proactively reported to investigators. The mayor has been and remains committed to cooperating in this matter,” Adams’ campaign attorney Boyd Johson said. “On Monday night, the FBI approached the mayor after an event. The mayor immediately complied with the FBI’s request and provided them with electronic devices. The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing and continues to cooperate with the investigation.”

Last week, the FBI launched an investigation into whether Adams’ campaign received illegal donations from the Turkish government during his 2021 race. Following the news of the investigation, Adams canceled his plan to discuss illegal immigration and the border crisis with the Biden administration.

Campaign records reviewed by the New York Post show that Adams’ campaign accepted $6,000 from three donors who serve on a foundation’s board that is backed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s son. The home of one of Adams’ top fundraisers, Brianna Suggs, was raided by the FBI last week as agents sought evidence of whether Adams’ campaign conspired with the Turkish government via a Brooklyn construction company.

It is not a shock that the Biden administration is going after Adams. He has been critical of the Biden administration for the illegal alien crisis.

As Massachusetts housing facilities brace for maxed-out capacity as early as this week, the governor of the “right-to-shelter” state is suggesting there are “a lot” of other places in the U.S. migrants should be sent.

Gov. Maura Healy announced this week there are 40 to 50 new families arriving in the state every day and seeking state assistance with housing, and the influx of people to Massachusetts — many without a lawful presence in the U.S. — has pushed the state’s shelter system close to its 7,500-family limit, according to a report in the Boston Herald. 

Massachusetts has a “right-to-shelter law,” which entitles migrant families to taxpayer-funded emergency shelter. The Bay State is the only one in the country with a statewide right-to-shelter law, signed into law in 1983 by Gov. Michael Dukakis.

Healy, a Democrat, said she hopes the crisis doesn’t devolve into homeless people sleeping at Boston’s Logan Airport or in emergency rooms. She also suggested other states should consider accepting migrants.

“There are a lot of places in the country where people can go once they cross into the United States,” Healy told a local news outlet earlier this week.

Mind you, not one word about the illegal alien crisis.

President Biden is set to strike a deal with China that would limit the use of artifical intelligence in nuclear weapons.

Biden is to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco, where the two leaders are expected to also sign an agreement to limit AI’s use in military applications, according to a report from Business Insider.

According to the report, Biden and Xi will agree to limit AI use in the systems that control and deploy nuclear weapons as well as the technology’s use in autonomous weapon systems such as drones.

The deal comes as the two countries have frequently found themselves at odds, with tensions continuing to flare over issues that include China’s spying activities in the U.S. and its continued military buildup in the South China Sea. But the deal comes at the same time as many have warned about the growing implications of allowing unfettered AI use in combat, a new reality that has led to growing ethical concerns.

A wide range of livestock and agriculture industry groups, in addition to state and local governments, are opposing a Biden administration plan to release grizzly bears in a Washington forest area located near rural communities.

The groups, which include the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), Public Lands Council (PLC) and American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), argued in comments filed with the federal government this week that releasing grizzly bears near communities would be detrimental to their members in the region. They also said such a move would threaten public safety and jeopardize future conservation efforts.

“Introducing an apex predator like the grizzly bear to a new area of Washington state is a mistake and poses a huge threat to our rural communities and hardworking farmers and ranchers,” said Mark Eisele, a Wyoming rancher and incoming NCBA president. 

“This plan is being pushed by bureaucrats thousands of miles away from the West who do not fully understand the harm this species will cause to producers. The Biden administration should listen to rural residents and rethink this plan.”

In late September, the National Park Service and Fish and Wildlife Service proposed a rule and draft environmental impact statement opening the door to releasing grizzly bears in the North Cascades National Park located in northern Washington along the U.S.-Canada border. The proposal was cheered by left-wing eco groups but heavily criticized by local lawmakers and residents.

Under the proposal, the federal government would release up to seven grizzly bears annually into the North Cascades ecosystem (NCE) over the course of the next five to 10 years. The federal government’s overarching goal would be to establish a grizzly bear population of roughly 200 bears in the coming decades.

The federal plan released in September includes three options, two that would involve actively restoring populations of the threatened grizzly bear species and one “no action” alternative that would maintain current management practices. The public comment period for the proposal expired Monday.

A 21-year-old TikTok influencer bought her first home mortgage-free, then was blasted with negative comments for posting about her success.

“People were saying that I was bragging, showing off,” Katylee Bailey told Fox News. “The hate just got worse and worse and worse to the point where I felt guilty for doing such a big accomplishment within my life.”

“I wanted to feel secure in my life, to have that security,” the U.K.-based content creator continued. “I did such a big thing and people still decided that they wanted to bring me down.”

Bailey posted a TikTok video on April 7 declaring she had bought her first home. It showed her clapping and jumping with a fake champagne bottle that blasted confetti. It included a caption that read “Biggest achievement of my life. Here’s to the next chapter.” 

The video has garnered over 4 million views and thousands of comments. Some celebrated Bailey’s success, but others said the young TikToker was bragging as some struggle to make ends meet. 

“It’s so upsetting seeing this,” one TikTok user commented. “Like paramedics who save lives 12 hours a day five to seven days a week and they still can’t afford heating.”

Another wrote: “I can’t even afford to buy myself a dairy milk bar from co-op.”

The Economy

According to the New York Post:

US inflation rose 3.2% in October — decelerating from the previous month for the first time since June as gasoline prices eased, although still uncomfortably above the Federal Reserve’s 2% target.

The Consumer Price Index — which tracks changes in the costs of everyday goods and services — is a cooldown from the 3.7% advance in September, according to data by the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Tuesday.

October’s CPI is the most closely-watched measure of inflation that will no doubt weigh heavy on the Fed’s decision to implement one more interest rate hike by year’s end.

The 3.2% headline inflation figure is slightly below the 3.3% figure economists expected, according to estimates from FactSet.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices remained unchanged from last month, at 0.4%, attributed to a 5% decline in the gasoline index.

The shelter index rose 0.3%, the federal agency said, offsetting a decline in the gasoline index and accounting for the majority of the CPI’s advance.

An 8-month-old infant in the United Kingdom has been given more time to live after an appeal suspended a judge’s mandate that she be removed from life support.

Justice Robert Peel ruled Wednesday that Indi Gregory was to be removed from her life-supporting ventilator on Thursday against the parents’ wishes.

Now, the Gregory family has successfully launched an appeal to that mandate, hoping to negotiate the right to seek continued treatment overseas.

Indi Gregory was born in February of this year and suffers from a degenerative mitochondrial disease that will very likely take her life.

It took a couple of days and the appeal ended up in front of a judge. The appeal was denied. The baby was taken off of life support and died.

The father, Dean Gregory, said that the devil was in the courtroom. He learned that if the devil existed, so did heaven. He got is daughter baptized before she died. He, too, decided to be baptized. He said:

“I am not religious and I am not baptized. But when I was in court, it felt like I had been dragged to hell. I thought, if hell exists then heaven must exist. It was like the devil was there. I thought if there’s a devil then God must exist.

“I have seen what hell is like and I want Indi to go to heaven. In fact, I have decided that me and my daughter should get baptized too. We want to be protected in this life and go to heaven.”

After her death, he said:

“Indi’s life ended at 01.45am. Claire and I are angry, heartbroken, and ashamed. The NHS and the Courts not only took away her chance to live a longer life, but they also took away Indi’s dignity to pass away in the family home where she belonged. They did succeed in taking Indi’s body and dignity, but they can never take her soul. They tried to get rid of Indi without anybody knowing, but we made sure she would be remembered forever. I knew she was special from the day she was born.“

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has rolled out a new gender pronoun policy that one Heritage Foundation expert and former HHS official says violates employee rights and will result in firings for “misgendering.”

“HHS and the federal government is requiring its employees to speak falsehoods,” Roger Severino, the Heritage Foundation’s vice president for domestic policy and the former head of civil rights at HHS during the Trump administration, told Fox News Digital. 

Severino first broke the story on X, formerly Twitter, last week. He wrote that HHS “imposed a transgender pronoun mandate on its employees who will now be forced to deny biological realities with their own words or face firing” and he included a screenshot of an email sent to employees at the department. 

Severino told Fox News Digital that the First Amendment protects federal employees from being required to speak falsehoods, being compelled to adopt a state-approved ideology and requiring people to deny their own faith.

“All employees should be addressed [by] the names and pronouns they use to describe themselves,” the email to HHS employees stated as part of its push for “Gender Identity and Non-Discrimination Guidance” that it says protects “employee rights and protections related to gender identity.”

“All applicants and employees should be addressed by the names and pronouns they use to describe themselves. Using correct names and pronouns helps foster workplaces free of discrimination and harassment,” the U.S. Office of Personnel Management guidance states.

“This practice also creates an inclusive work environment where all applicants and employees are treated with dignity. The isolated and inadvertent use of an incorrect name or pronoun will generally not constitute unlawful harassment, but, as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has explained, continued intentional use of an incorrect name or pronoun (or both) could, in certain circumstances, contribute to an unlawful hostile work environment.”

The Vatican on Wednesday clarified several questions regarding people who have received transgender medical treatments, same-sex couples, and Catholic sacraments.

The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, which exists to defend Catholic doctrine, published a document on Wednesday responding to six controversial questions submitted by a Brazilian bishop over the summer.

Some of the questions dealt with whether a transgender person can be baptized, serve as a godparent at a baptism, or be a witness at a wedding. The other questions dealt with whether a same-sex couple’s child can be baptized and whether a cohabiting person in a same-sex relationship can be a godparent or witness at a wedding.

On the first transgender question, the Vatican responded that a person who has received gender surgery or hormone treatment can be baptized “under the same conditions as other believers, if there are no situations in which there is a risk of generating public scandal, or disorientation among the faithful.”

Children and teens with “problems of a transgender nature” can also be baptized if they are well prepared and willing to receive the sacrament, the Vatican said.

On Saturday, Pope Francis relieved pro-life Bishop Joseph E. Strickland of Tyler, Texas, of his duties without reason and appointed the Bishop in Austin to take over temporarily. 

According to the Associated Press, Strickland made a name for himself among conservatives in the US as a staunch critic of the Pope’s social agenda and even accused him of “undermining the deposit of faith.”

Strickland is notably an outspoken conservative, who is in favor of Latin Mass, which Francis has stood against. Strickland also holds a strict pro-life stance in regard to abortion and strongly favors traditional marriage.

Some Thoughts

Bill Maher had some thoughts about Leftism destroying Western Civilization. I think this is important coming from him. Not because he is the only voice, but he is a voice of reason from the Left.

Maher is not a Conservative by any stretch. In fact, what is ironic about his speech is that he is still coting for an individual that is against a lot of his values. Listen and enjoy, but don’t think for a moment that this guy is on our side. Just be happy that there are more people like him on the Left than purely insane Lefties.

There is this theory called the White Replacement Theory. The Left has claimed this is a white supremacist theory. That is a feint and not true. The Left see white people, especially men, as evil and are thrilled at the thought that the country is being replaced by people of color. They say it. They don’t want to admit it because it’s racist but they do. Things like open borders, the colonization craze, the elimination of statues and history, critical race theory and segregation are all proof of what they think of white people.

But, more than hate of white people, it is the hatred of Western Civilization. Why though? Because the ideas that this civilization promotes goes against theories that bored Leftists think are awesome. Socialism, anarchy, communism, the nanny state and free love are all the things they love. These are all the things that have been tried before and have failed. Not once or twice but over and over again.

Why? Why do they continue to support these ideals that only lead to misery, slavery, despair and death? Because they are bored. They sit in their classrooms, read about Marxism and bitch about capitalism using all the technology and innovations created by capitalism. Here’s what is jacked up, they think their lives would be just as easy and just as privileged under socialism as it is now. Hell, it would be better because then they don’t have to work.

Here are some fallacies these people believe that have been proven wrong over and over again:

• Socialism works. It just hasn’t been done right.
  • Socialism has been tried at the family level, in schools, in communes and in governments for all of our existence. It has never worked.
  • All sorts of different flavors have been tried including Marxism, Trotskyism, Leninism, Stalinism and Maoism.
  • Different flavors have been implemented by Mao and Xi of China, Kim in North Korea, Macron in France, Hitler and Mussolini during World War II. None of it has worked and all has led to suffering.
  • The democratic republic we have has never been tried in the history of the world and it has been a huge success!
• People can change (are malleable).
  • People are the same. They have been the same for thousands of years.
  • Instead of reading the fantasy that is Karl Marx, read Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Locke, Jefferson, Huxley, Orwell, Dostoyevsky, Twain, Solzhenitsyn and, of course, the Bible.
  • Human beings never change. They are always the same. They never change. They cannot change.
  • Because people do not change, that’s why collectivism and socialism never work and always lead to tyranny.
  • Collectivism doesn’t work because we are a group of individuals.
• Rich people are evil and exploit the worker.
  • Straight out of Marx.
  • In capitalism, rich people who steal are thrown in prison.
  • In capitalism, rich people who become rich legally do so through innovation, making society better.
    • Musk, Bezos, Gates and Winfrey have made life better for all of us. We know this because we pay them. They don’t “steal” anything.
    • We buy it.
    • Every person in our society can be a Winfrey or Musk. The question is why we don’t become that. Hint: It’s usually not because we don’t have the money.
    • Capacity does matter and we shouldn’t be jealous of someone’s greater capacity.
• We can all live a fulfilling life without working.

When this entire argument comes up, the first thing I always ask is what civilization is better. One answer I get almost alway is the American Indians. You already know what I think of them. Then I hear about Africa. I point out Africa is a continent, not a civilization and they have tremendous amounts of slavery and genocide and most countries are in perpetual cirl war.

The reality is there is no answer. In fact, no one answers China or Russia, the top socialist countries. No one says Mexico, Central America, or South America. Those areas suck so bad, people are trying to break into our country.

The reality is, these anti-American jerkoffs don’t know what they’re talking about.

There’s a Simple Solution to This Too

Widespread loneliness in the U.S. poses health risks as deadly as smoking a dozen cigarettes daily, costing the health industry billions of dollars annually, the U.S. surgeon general said Tuesday in declaring the latest public health epidemic.

About half of U.S. adults say they’ve experienced loneliness, Dr. Vivek Murthy said in an 81-page report from his office.

“We now know that loneliness is a common feeling that many people experience. It’s like hunger or thirst. It’s a feeling the body sends us when something we need for survival is missing,” Murthy told The Associated Press in an interview. “Millions of people in America are struggling in the shadows, and that’s not right. That’s why I issued this advisory to pull back the curtain on a struggle that too many people are experiencing.”

Research shows that Americans, who have become less engaged with worship houses, community organizations and even their own family members in recent decades, have steadily reported an increase in feelings of loneliness. The number of single households has also doubled over the last 60 years.

But the crisis deeply worsened when Covid-19 spread, prompting schools and workplaces to shut their doors and sending millions of Americans to isolate at home away from relatives or friends.

People culled their friend groups during the coronavirus pandemic and reduced time spent with those friends, the surgeon general’s report finds. Americans spent about 20 minutes a day in person with friends in 2020, down from 60 minutes daily nearly two decades earlier.

The loneliness epidemic is hitting young people, ages 15 to 24, especially hard. The age group reported a 70% drop in time spent with friends during the same period.

Loneliness increases the risk of premature death by nearly 30%, with the report revealing that those with poor social relationships also had a greater risk of stroke and heart disease. Isolation also elevates a person’s likelihood for experiencing depression, anxiety and dementia, according to the research. Murthy did not provide any data that illustrates how many people die directly from loneliness or isolation.

SPEAKER OF THE House Mike Johnson admitted that he and his son monitored each other’s porn intake in a resurfaced clip from 2022.

During a conversation on the “War on Technology” at Benton, Louisiana’s Cypress Baptist Church — unearthed by X user Receipt Maven last week — the Louisiana representative talked about how he installed “accountability software” called Covenant Eyes on his devices in order to abstain from internet porn and other unsavory websites.

“It scans all the activity on your phone, or your devices, your laptop, what have you; we do all of it,” Johnson told the panel about the app.

Outside of the creepy Big Brother-ness of it all, Receipt Maven also aired concerns about whether Covenant Eyes — which is still a working subscription-based service — might “compromise” Johnson’s devices, if he’s still actively seeking accountability. 

“A US Congressman is allowing a 3rd Party tech company to scan ALL of his electronic devices daily and then uploading reports to his son about what he’s watching or not watching….,” Receipt Maven wrote. “I mean, who else is accessing that data?”

Since he was elected Speaker of the House in October, Johnson’s history as a faith-obsessed, election-denying, far-right Christian nationalist has come under the microscope, from his time with the anti-LBGTQ organization Alliance Defending Freedom to his claim that school shootings could be blamed on abortion and teaching evolution.

In an interview Sunday morning on Fox News, Johnson was asked about his history on abortion, including claims that he was opposed to contraception and IVF treatment. “I’m pro-life. I’ve said very clearly, I’m a Bible-believing Christian, I believe in the sanctity of every single human life,” Johnson said, but added, “I’ve not brought forward any measure to address any of those issues.” However, he didn’t deny whether he would vote against contraception when the time comes.

According to the Daily Wire:

A  female student-athlete reportedly had two of her teeth knocked out during a high school field hockey game last week after a shot struck by an opposing male player deflected off a teammate’s stick and caused the facial injury.

According to reports, the incident happened during the first round of the field hockey state playoffs between two Massachusetts high schools — Dighton-Rehoboth and Swampscott — on Thursday.

Dighton-Rehoboth Superintendent Bill Runey wrote a letter to families reported by local media, saying a male athlete on the Swampscott girls’ field hockey team took a shot that left “significant facial and dental injuries” to one of the team’s female athletes, which required hospitalization.

“When I stepped onto that bus last night when our girls got back to Regional Road, what I saw on their eyes was trauma,” Runey told a local NBC News channel.

Runey said the unidentified injured student, who had worn a mouthguard and headgear at the time of the incident, has since been released from the hospital.

A New York bishop recently took action against a parish that allowed the filming of a controversial music video within a century-old Brooklyn church.

In a statement released on Thursday, Brooklyn Bishop Robert Brennan condemned pop singer Sabrina Carpenter’s latest music video “Feather,” which was filmed at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. The video features Carpenter in a scantily-clad black dress as several men kill each other over her. It also shows her attending their funerals at the church with candy-colored coffins, one including the inscription “RIP B*tch.”

Brennan was “appalled” at the video and additionally criticized the local parish for failing to prevent its filming based on its policies.

“The parish did not follow diocesan policy regarding the filming on Church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script,” the statement read.

While the parish initially claimed that the video’s production company “failed to accurately represent the video content,” an investigation into the matter concluded that documents given to the parish “while failing to depict the entirety of the scenes, clearly portray inappropriate behavior unsuitable for a church sanctuary.”

As a result, Brennan announced that the parish’s vicar, Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello, was relieved of his position and temporarily replaced with Auxiliary Bishop Witold Mroziewski, who took over all administrative responsibilities.

• A pro-Palestinian woman killed a pro-Israeli protestor in Thousand Oaks, CA. She beat him with his megaphone and he fell down, hitting his head on the ground.
• In Brooklyn, a woman was arrested for spraying pepper spray on pro-Israeli protestors and Jews. She was also carrying a knife.
• A woman ran her car into, what she thought, was a Jewish school.
  • No one was injured.
  • Turned out the building belonged to an anti-Jew hate group, the Black Hebrew Israelites.
  • No one said anti-Semitics were bright.

Israel has released a travel warning which is something they have never done before. Here is the Israeli Government spokesman Eylon Levy

A leaked manifesto reveals the Nashville trans school shooter had a violent hatred of the “little crackers” with “white privilege” that were murdered.

First obtained and released by the Louder with Crowder conservative Rumble show, the three-page handwritten document allegedly shows Audrey “Aiden” Hale meticulously planned their last moments and the mass school shooting at The Covenant School on March 27. Three young children and three school staff were killed before Hale, 28, was shot dead by responding police. 

The manifesto, written in a spiral notebook, has various screeds and thoughts scrawled down by pen. 

Here are the pages and they are pretty brutal:

So far, it looks like all of this is legitimate.

• Steven Crowder is a trustworthy source. He wouldn’t release this if it weren’t real.
• The local media is reporting the pages are legitimate.
• The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a statement:  “MNPD Statement Concerning On-Line Photograph Dissemination. The MNPD is in communication with the Metropolitan Department of Law as an investigation, begun this morning, continues into the dissemination of three photographs of writings during an on-line discussion about Covenant School. The photographs are not MNPD crime scene images.” They wouldn’t investigate if this wasn’t real. Why are they investigating in the first place?
• The FBI refuses to comment.
• YouTube pulled Crowder’s video down because it violated their, “violent criminal organizations policy.” I don’t know what that means? Does that mean the trans cultists are considered a violent organization at YouTube? Did they do the same thing with the Charlottesville killer? Of course not. This goes against narrative.

Now, I want you to recall some things.

While many workers worry about A.I. replacing their jobs, one company announced it’s hiring the first humanoid robot CEO.  

Mika is a research project between Hanson Robotics and Polish rum company Dictador, who customized the CEO to represent the company and its unique values. 

In a Dictador company video, Mika said that “with advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, I can swiftly and accurately make data driven.”

However, FOX Business reporter Lauren Simonetti noted that there is a “significant delay” in the time it takes Mika to process and respond to your question. 

Hanson Robotics CEO David Hanson, who played a key role in employing Mika at Dictador, emphasized the importance of “humanizing” artificial intelligence.

“I feel very strongly that we need to teach A.I. to care about people for A.I. to be really safe, to be really, really good. I think humanizing that is a very important direction,” Hanson explained on “Mornings with Maria” earlier in the week.

Bad News, Sort Of!

According to the New York Times:

Employers added 150,000 jobs in October on a seasonally adjusted basis, the Labor Department said on Friday.

The increase was slightly below what economists had forecast, but not too different from the sort of monthly jobs growth the U.S. economy was experiencing prepandemic.

The unemployment rate, based on a survey of households, ticked up to 3.9 percent from 3.8 percent in September. It has been below 4 percent for nearly two years, a stretch not achieved since the late 1960s.

Figures for August and September were revised downward by a total of more than 100,000 from earlier reports. The surprisingly strong September gain, initially reported as 336,000, was restated as 297,000 and will be revised again next month.

Activists wore keffiyahs, carried signs, and chanted for the death of Israel. “Biden, Biden, you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide,” they chanted. 

Palestinian flags and signs were draped across statues of American patriots.

This Isn’t at All Insane

An author has come out as a transgender man after his husband transitioned from male to female – and the couple now live in a four-way relationship with their trans lovers. 

Rowan Jette Knox, formerly known as Amanda Jette Knox, announced on his social media in August that he was ‘re-introducing’ himself as a trans man. 

The Toronto-based writer and activist, who started taking testosterone earlier this week, follows in the footsteps of his husband-turned-wife and son-turned-daughter.

Knox’s wife Zoe was previously known as Mark but came out as transgender in July 2015, after 19 years of marriage.

The pair’s daughter Alexis revealed that she was transgender in early 2014. 

Rowan says he too was born in the wrong body, but that it took a long time to come to terms with his true gender. 

Rowan and Zoe live with their transgender partners Dani and Dame in the same Toronto house. Dani and Dame are themselves a couple. 

Rowan describes the unusual relationship as a ‘polycule.’ He previously shared his delight at realizing he was non-binary before coming out as transgender and told PinkNews: ‘Trans joy is infectious’.

In a post to his Instagram account, the writer said: ‘It is with joy, relief, and a fair amount of anxiety that I am re-introducing myself to you as Rowan Jette Knox. 

‘I am a trans man, am medically transitioning, and will be exclusively using he/him pronouns going forward.

‘I’ve known this is who I am for a long time now, but I had to work up the courage to say it out loud.’

‘It took months of introspection therapy, long chats with loved ones, plenty of tears, and pushing through a lot of fear and denial to get here.’ 

In an article published late last month, Knox wrote that he and Zoe had started a polyamorous relationship with another transgender couple named Dani and Dame. 

Knox wrote about first meeting Dani last year after reaching out to her to talk about an experience she had. 

According to Knox, the two ‘bonded immediately in a way I rarely do these days’ before deciding they had fallen in love.

On Monday, Rep. James Comer claimed that the House Oversight Committee had uncovered evidence suggesting President Joe Biden received $40,000 in “laundered China money.”

He outlined how the cash allegedly made its way from a Chinese company to the current president in 2017 via a series of companies, and Biden family members.

“Remember when Joe Biden told the American people that his son didn’t make any money in China?” Comer began. “Well not only did he lie about his son, Hunter, making any money in China, but it also turns out that $40,000 in laundered China money landed in Joe Biden’s bank account in the form of a personal cheque, and the Oversight Committee has it.”

This is all such old news. We have known this crap for years. It’s time for Republicans to do something about it.

It Was Murder

According to the Daily Wire:

Police said Monday that they are investigating the death of former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Adam Johnson, 29, who died during an Elite Ice Hockey League game on Saturday.

Reports and graphic video indicate Johnson collided with another player during a game in England and suffered a cut to the neck from a skate, NHL.com reported.

The South Yorkshire Police, who were called to the scene on Saturday, are investigating the incident.

“Our officers remain at the scene carrying out inquiries and our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing,” a statement said, according to Fox News. “We would encourage the public to avoid speculation regarding the incident while we continue our inquiries.”

Johnson’s team, the Nottingham Panthers, have called the fatal collision a “freak accident.”

How Do They Know?

Here is an opinion piece in the Washington Post called What is the line between life and death? Here is my answer. by Peter Singer. Singer is philosopher and bio-ethicist from Princeton. Which means he’s socially worthless because he over thinks everything.

Where, exactly, is the line between life and death? Does the answer change if the person asking is not a philosopher but a transplant surgeon eager to save a life? Or a patient desperate for a new organ?

I love that he conflates philosophy and a surgeon that performs organ transplants. Philosophy has to be one of the most worthless degrees ever created and they are wrong half the time.

This summer in Honolulu, a body of lawyers known as the Uniform Law Commission tried to agree on an answer to that profound question. Appointed by the states and territories to recommend model legislation for adoption nationwide, commission members were tasked with revising the standard of brain death widely used in the United States for some four decades.

They couldn’t do it. Last month, the group’s chair emailed those involved that it had “decided to pause” the effort, without explaining why. My hunch? Once discussions began on how to change the definition of death, the group realized it had a question on its hands for which there is no consensus.

Namely: When it is justifiable to end a human life?

This is the problem, especially in medicine. People have been asking this question for a long time and no one wants to have the discussion because they don’t know and it’s too uncomfortable.

We kind of need to have this discussion because policies like abortion, euthanasia and organ havesting maybe risking the lives of innocent people.

Here’s my answer: When consciousness has gone, never to return. Other bioethicists have different views. No surprise there. But on this we should all agree: These differences need to be hammered out in public, not behind closed doors by a body that few people have heard of.

Question, what does that mean? How do you know when someone has lost consciousness and it will never come back? Then the bigger question: What is consciousness?

This is the job of philosophers. They answer questions that open more questions then they answer those questions and on and on.

The last effort to define death in the United States was in 1980, and at that time, there was remarkable consensus on a decision so consequential. Then, the commission proposed a new Uniform Determination of Death Act establishing that in addition to the traditional determination of death by the heart ceasing to beat, a person is dead when their whole brain has irreversibly ceased to function. All 50 states and D.C. adopted the act’s central proposition — which is staggering, really, given today’s battles over when life begins.

You can see why the government dropped this definition.

Since then, the widespread acceptance of brain death has led to many lives being saved, because donated organs are more viable this way. In 2021 alone, organs were removed from 9,674 people after their brains had ceased to function but their hearts were still beating. Under the heartbeat standard, surgeons could have been charged with murder in these cases.

Here’s the problem, we don’t know how the brain works. We don’t know how most drugs work on the brain. Pain, for example, is a function of the brain. We have no idea how drugs that hide pain work.

Yet the brain-death standard presents some confounding consequences. Patients declared brain-dead need a ventilator to breathe, but their bodies remain warm and supple. They can fight off infections, and their heart rate and adrenaline increase in response to injury. At least a dozen have gestated a child to birth by Caesarean section.

All bodily functions are controlled by the brain, including blood pressure, heart rate and pregnancy. Stress is a brain function that manipulates all aspects of the cardiovascular system. Question: Is it possible the brain isn’t dead if any part of the body still functions?

The answer Is yes and that’s why a lot of medical doctors don’t consider “brain death” bodily death.

Usually, doctors can convince skeptical families that their loved one is no longer alive. They failed in the widely publicized case of Jahi McMath.

McMath, a teenager, went into Children’s Hospital Oakland in 2013 to have an abnormal tonsil taken out. She suffered catastrophic postoperative bleeding and was declared brain-dead two days later. But her family refused to accept that she was dead and took the hospital to court. The court ordered an independent medical exam, which confirmed the diagnosis of brain death. The family indicated that they would appeal. In a compromise, the hospital allowed them to transport their daughter, on a ventilator, to a hospital willing to accept her as a patient. For the next 4½ years, Jahi’s bodily functions were maintained. She even got her first period.

Only when Jahi’s heart stopped in 2018 did her family accept that she was dead.

This is an fred op case to bring up, but it does support his argument.

Here’s the problem, he doesn’t bring up examples of people being in a coma and considered “brain dead” and have come out, In time, fully functional. These cases are not common, but they do happen.

The brain is very resilient and will repair itself.

This and similar edge cases have raised awareness that the standard tests do not prove that all brain function has ceased irreversibly. One reason is that the tests cannot distinguish between zero blood flow to the brain and a rare condition in which blood flows at a level too low to detect but sufficient for the brain to regain some function.

There is the problem. Our tests are very flawed when it comes to the brain. Maybe we shouldn’t make rash decisions until we do have the technology, if we ever get it.

What Took So Long?

A federal judge has halted the Biden administration’s move to prevent Texas from securing its southern border. Texas, which has installed razor wire and other barriers to prevent illegal immigrants from flooding into the country, has raised the ire of the Biden administration for having the gall to keep America safe from mass migration.

Texas installed wire and buoy barriers only for Biden’s Border Patrol to remove or cut those barriers. Now, a federal judge has said that, at least temporarily, Biden can’t get in Texas’ way.

The State of Texas has taken up suit against the US Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol, and the officials that head those agencies, demanding a restraining order to prevent them from meddling in the state’s border protection efforts.

The motion for a temporary restraining order was granted until such time as “the parties have an opportunity to present evidence at a preliminary injunction hearing before the court.”

No One is Immune to Censorship

YouTube has disabled the Los Angeles Police Department’s account after the agency posted a video that allegedly showed a brutal attack. YouTube soon deleted the video, and then later pulled the LAPD’s channel entirely.   

The LAPD said the account was “temporarily suspended after [posting] a video of a brutal attack” that transpired just before 11:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, reports KTLA 5. 

“We have appealed the suspension and have been denied,” the LAPD posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

This “brutal attack” that apparently motivated YouTube to censor the LAPD account was from an attack in Vence on Sept. 28. Two men with bicycles were seen repeatedly punching and kicking a male victim. Then they walked away from him, only to return and beat him unconscious with bolt cutters.

The department says it has been requesting the public’s assistance to help identify the suspects from the attack.

It’s Going Bye-Bye

Disney pushed back the release of its live-action “Snow White” a full year after getting slammed for its woke messaging. 

The live-action film was supposed to be released in March of next year, and there was no reason given for pushing “Snow White’s” release from 2024 until 2025 as there has been a significant amount of controversy surrounding Disney’s latest live-action adaptation.

Lead actress Rachel Zegler has been slammed for her comments about the original storyline, which involved the titular character falling in love with a handsome prince. 

Another video showed Zegler bragging about how the new Snow White wasn’t going to be “saved by the prince” or “dreaming about true love.”

…While it remains unknown if Zegler’s comments had anything to do with Disney delaying the release, experts have already said the actress’ wokifying of “Snow White” could tank the Disney remake.

This movie is going to be a straight-to-video disaster and Disney knows it.

Revenue is Soaring?

McDonald’s on Monday reported that its revenue was up 14% in the latest quarter — a surge the burger giant said was driven by “strategic menu price increases.”

The Golden Arches brought in a total of $6.69 billion in revenue for the three-month period ended Sept. 30 — beating expectations of $6.58 billion, according to Refinitiv analysts.

One branch in Darien, Conn., charged as much as $18 for a Big Mac combo meal, which includes medium fries and a medium soft drink.

Meanwhile, that same Big Mac combo will run hungry patrons $13.69 at a McDonald’s in Times Square.

Shares of McDonald’s closed up 1.7% to $260.15.

Net income rose to $2.3 billion, up from $1.98 billion in the same period last year, and same-store sales in the US increased by 8.1%, again attributed to price hikes.
