Episode 907 – Repetition Does Not Make Something True!

Joe Biden, after his son’s conviction on gun charges, decides to go on a rant on gun control and everything he’s said has already been debunked the first ten times he’s said it.

There is some real news happening out there concerning threats from sources other than Trump.

And there is a new fear that the Leftist narcissists are concocting if Trump get re-elected.

News

Here is a quick look at what’s going on in the world:

  • The inflation rate has gone down from 3.4% to 3.3%.
  • The Fed is having a meeting today to determine what to do with interest rates. My guess is nothing.
  • Jerry West, famed Laker player, coach and General Manager has dies at 86.
  • I am rooting for Hunter Biden to get his gun charge overturned.

Real News

According to the New York Post:

flotilla of Russian warships passed within hailing distance of Florida’s eastern coastline Tuesday, with the US Navy and Coast Guard following close behind, according to open-source maritime and air tracking information.

The Coast Guard Cutter Stone, Navy guided-missile destroyers USS Truxtun and USS Donald Cook, and the Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Ville de Quebec sailed after four Russian vessels reportedly headed to Cuba, according to online maritime trackers including VesselFinder.

A Navy P-8 Poseidon surveillance aircraft was also spotted in the region.

The group left Severomorsk, Russia in May with plans to spend several months performing “long-distance missions” across the world “to show the flag and ensure a naval presence in operationally important areas of the far ocean zone,” according to Russian state media agency Tass.

Moscow’s presence so close to US shores comes as representatives of nearly 100 countries across the world prepare to attend this weekend’s Ukraine Peace Summit in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Vice President Kamala Harris will represent the United States in lieu of President Biden.

The meeting – to which Russia was not invited – was arranged by the Swiss and Ukrainian governments with the intention to develop a pathway to end the war in Ukraine.

Some things:

  • This is saber rattling. Russia is feeling insecure about their strength.
  • This is also a sign the Russia is not threatened by the United States.
    • They have a base by us in Cuba.
    • Our Navy is out of date.
    • Russia is also seeing all our gay seamen sashaying around TikTok.

Dumbass of the Day

He never “banned” assault weapons. He helped put a moratorium on them for 10 years.

This brings us to another question he will not be able to answer: What is an assault weapon?

He continues to show he doesn’t know anything about weapons. Shotguns use shells, rifles use rounds.

Finally, when I need to use a rifle to protect myself, why would I want to short myself of ammo? Don’t I want to overpower my attackers? But that doesn’t matter. It’s none of his f-ing business why I need 200 rounds.

This is a false category when it comes to death statistics.

  • There are three ways to die with a gun.
    • Murder.
    • Suicide.
    • Accident.
    • Most gun deaths are suicide. Accidents are second.
  • Guns do not kill people. Guns are inanimate.
    • In Japan, suicide by hanging is the highest incidence of death among the youth. They don’t have a category of death by rope.
  • Finally, most murderers, by a long shot, aren’t legally able to own guns. Adding more laws won’t change that.

So much is wrong here.

  • He was never a professor at UPenn.
  • The “you couldn’t own a canon” argument was debunked the first three times Joe said it. Yes, you could have owned a canon.
  • I sigh when I see him laugh at the words of the Constitution. It shouldn’t be a surprise though. He pisses on the Constitution constantly.
  • There he goes threatening half the country with the F-15 thing.
  • He should probably join us in this century though. The military hasn’t used F-15s in while. We even stopped using F-16s. We use F-18s which are being replaced with F-35s so, at least, threaten us with the right attack planes.
  • Protection of family is ensuring safety. Depending of government is giving up that ability to protect our families.
  • Finally, freedom does mean life can be dangerous.

The Projection is Strong

Rachel Maddow thought the same thing:

I’m worried about the country broadly if we put someone in power who is openly avowing that he plans to build camps to hold millions of people, and to “root out” what he’s described in subhuman terms as his “enemy from within.” Again, history is helpful here. He’s not joking when he says this stuff, and we’ve seen what happens when people take power proclaiming that kind of agenda.

I think there’s a little bit of head-in-the-sand complacency that Trump only intends to go after individual people he has already singled out. Do you really think he plans to stop at well-known liberals?

It also seems pretty clear that some people in politics might think they’ll be on the safe side — that they might even benefit from it — if they side with Trump. Ask Mike Pence about how that works out in the end.

When Trump invokes the Insurrection Act to deploy the U.S. military against civilians on his first day in office, do you think he then rescinds the order on day two?

Regulations Like This Are Why Businesses are Leaving

According to KTLA Channel 5 News:

Bars and nightclubs throughout the state will be required to offer drug testing kits when a new state law goes into effect next month.

California Assembly Bill 1013 aims to protect consumers from becoming victims of date-rape drugs and “roofies.”

Beginning July 1, businesses with Type 48 licenses — issued to establishments that sell beer, wine and liquor for consumption on business property — will need to offer drug testing kits and prominently display signage informing customers about their availability.

According to the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, the signs will need to read: “Don’t get roofied! Drink spiking drug test kits available here. Ask a staff member for details.”

About 2,400 businesses across the state will be required to offer the testing kits, which will need to be made available for purchase at a “reasonable” price or provided free of charge. License holders and businesses will need to obtain the testing kits on their own dime, ABC officials said.

Drug testing devices come in various forms, including test strips, stickers and straws, which are capable of detecting controlled substances in drinks. Controlled substances include known date-rape drugs flunitrazepam (rohypnol), gamma hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and ketamine.
