Episode 463 – Sanctuary of Evil

A tragedy strikes the Midwest and the media won’t let it go to waste.

California has become a sanctuary of evil.

Tragedy

At least 30 tornadoes were reported throughout Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. The largest tornado that struck the region tore through more than 200 miles in Kentucky.

The death toll, as of right now, is 80 but is expected to go much higher.

An Amazon facility and an old folks home were among the facilities destroyed.

On Saturday, multiple disaster-aid and humanitarian groups deployed to multiple states to help tornado victims, including the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, World Vision and Samaritan’s Purse. California also sent search and rescue specialists to help Kentucky.

 

That Didn’t Take Long

Joe Biden was asked about the tornado storm and he had to bring up his narrative.

Dude, they haven’t even found everyone and you have to bring up climate change?

Here’s a news flash for old Joe: tornadoes happen every year at the same time. They’ve been happening for centuries. Most years, it’s not a big deal. Some years, we get a big storm. what would be strange is that we didn’t have any tornadoes. Then we should be worried about climate change.

But it wasn’t just old Joe.

An Act of Evil

California has a great idea. In order to become the most evil and f-up state in the country, they’ve decided to push against the anti-abortion cases in front of the Supreme Court.

If Roe vs. Wade is overturned, they have decided to become an abortion sanctuary state. But it gets worse.

The Ken-doll governor of California, Gavin Newsom, said:

“We’ll be a sanctuary. We are looking at ways to support that inevitability and looking at ways to expand our protections.”

By the way, overturning Roe vs. Wade doesn’t end abortion in California. In fact, it gives the state the ability to expand abortion. But California wants more.

The state’s council stated:

“If our state’s abortion provider network is to provide timely care to California patients and absorb any significant portion of the increase in out-of-state patients projected should Roe be overturned, California must take steps now to ensure the growth of a network of clinicians trained in abortion and sexual and reproductive health care.”

Here is their plan:

  • Funds to support the work of abortion fund organizations, abortion providers, and other community-based
    organizations that secure practical support needs for patients. These funds, drawn down over a medium term number of years, are needed for direct logistical and practical support for patients such as gas, lodging,
    transportation, child care, doula support, food, lost wages, etc. Funding is needed as soon as possible with
    allowances to apply for funds to reimburse for expenses in 2021.
  • Invest in the development of an abortion access landing page for centralized information for people seeking
    abortion care in California. Patients need a central location to access information about potential providers,
    insurance information, practical and procedural support options, the types of abortion available to them,
    language access and assistance information, and much more. This centralized system has long been needed for Californians but is now made even more urgent due to patients trying to find information and services in our state following restrictions being imposed where they live.
  • Funding for practical support infrastructure, capacity building, coordination, and safety measures for
    providers, clinics, patients, and funds. People seeking abortion services in California should be able to have
    one point of entry to connect to the nearest abortion provider, obtain coverage or financial support for their
    appointment, and get practical assistance and resources for logistical and economic needs. As such, there is
    a significant need for flexible funding streams for abortion patient navigators and case management support,
    specifically to staff abortion fund organizations and providers who offer practical support.
  • Improve access to and capacity of Medi-Cal Transportation Services. Studies show that large swaths of
    the state lack access to local providers – in 2017, some 40 percent of California counties had no clinics that
    provided abortions. Transportation Services, which are offered to every Medi-Cal beneficiary, must be better
    utilized. To facilitate this, DHCS should make this benefit easier to utilize in order to improve access to abortion
    services. Actions should include, but are not limited to, easing prior authorization requirements that delay care
    for time-sensitive services like abortion and working with providers and plans to encourage wider use of this
    existing benefit by abortion patients.
  • Improve the education pipeline by creating a California Reproductive Scholarship Corps, open to those
    training as physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, physician assistants, and in other health
    care professions with diverse and/or rural backgrounds dedicated to providing abortion care in underserved
    areas in California.

So, in essence, the state of California wants to take the tax money that I am forced to give them and build up and abortion infrastructure, pay for women who don’t live in the state to come here, be housed here, pay for their lost wages, pay for their abortions and pay to have doctors violate their Hippocratic oath to learn how to perform abortions.

And I have no say about it.

By the way, the state has no solutions for:

  • The homeless problem.
  • The drug problem.
  • The mental health crisis.
  • The crime problem.
  • And we are already a sanctuary state for illegal aliens (which we can’t say anymore because that has been banned from California).

Time to leave this state.

Um, That’s Illegal

I am not sure what Gavin Newsom did before he became a politician but you know it wasn’t a lawyer.

Newsom, emboldened that he won the recall election and wanting to build upon that abortion sanctuary thing I talked about a few minutes ago, has decided to design a gun law that mimics the Texas abortion law.

He released a statement:

“I am outraged by yesterday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing Texas’s ban on most abortion services to remain in place. But if states can now shield their laws from review by the federal courts that compare assault weapons to Swiss Army knives, then California will use that authority to protect people’s lives, where Texas used it to put women in harm’s way.”

So, let me get this straight: We have crime in California to the point the LAPD’s head of the officer’s union is telling people not to come to Loa Angeles because LAPD cannot guarantee their safety and homeless and drug addicts are passed out on the side walks and he wants to take away our ability to protect ourselves?

This isn’t going anywhere no matter how Gavin Newsom spins it. And it shows how stupid Newsom is. He thinks that abortion in a Constitutional right. Therefore, if Texas can curtail abortion, California should be able to curtail guns. Here’s the problem, the 2nd Amendment is very clear. The government shall not take away the right to bear arms. All arms. People were allowed to own canons. Abortion is not mentioned at all in the Constitution. In fact, the Supreme Court is weighing in on whether the Supreme Court should have weighed in on abortion in the first place. If not, they overturn Roe and Casey and the states make the decision.

At that point, if those precedents are overturned, the Supreme is ruling that abortion isn’t in the Constitution. The guy needs to learn to read.

The war on art and history continues. I wanted to talk about this last week but I never got to it.

 

Destroying History

The statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee that formerly stood in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia, will be donated to an African American heritage organization, where it will be melted down and turned into another public art piece.

According to the Daily Wire:

The City Council of Charlottesville voted unanimously, 4-0, to donate the bronze equestrian statue of Lee, which was removed by the city in July, to the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center, whose initiative, “Swords Into Plowshares,” received the support of people and organizations including the Descendants of Enslaved Communities at the University of Virginia, as well as descendants of slaves who worked at Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, Fox News reported. The organization will also inform the public of the project’s development via a “community engagement process.” The organization raised some $590,000 to finance the project.

According to Jefferson School’s executive director Andrea Douglas

“Our hope with ‘Swords into Plowshares’ is to create something that transforms what was once toxic in our public space into something beautiful that can be more reflective of our entire community’s social values. We’re giving people opportunities to engage with our own narratives and our own histories. This project offers a road map for other communities to do the same.”

Remember how the Leftists said that they didn’t want to destroy art, they just wanted it moved out of public view. Yeah, no. They want to destroy the art and our history. This statue is 100 years old and want it destroyed. I don’t care what people think of Robert Lee but he was a honorable man and was part of our history. He was forgiven by Abraham Lincoln.

By the way, when are they going to tear down Lincoln’s statues?  I also can’t wait to see what these people build out of this statue. Maybe a George Floyd statue?

 

Going Woke

The 900 year old Notre Dame Cathedral cannot escape wokeness.

According to the Daily Wire:

The plans, overseen by Father Gilles Drouin, include removing confessionals and altars from the 13th-century edifice and replacing classic artwork and sculpture with modern “street art.” The culture ministry has confirmed that “street art pioneer Ernest Pignon-Ernest, as well as other modern artists such as Anselm Kiefer and Louise Bourgeois, are among the names being considered for display when new art installations replace some of the little-used 19th-century confessionals,” reports AFP.

The plans to renovate the interior of the Gothic masterpiece, which suffered a devastating fire in April 2019 that destroyed the spire and most of the roof, also reportedly include dedicating one of the side chapels to the theme of environmentalism. The new design also calls for adding new light displays and sound effects to create “emotional spaces.” Drouin argues that these spaces will make the church more “welcoming,” for people who are “not always from a Christian culture.”

Some things:

  • Understand something, this is France.
    • The center for humanism, existentialism and absurdism.
    • This is the country of the French Revolution which was a murderous riot.
    • This is a country that has been, not only secular, but anti-religion forever.
  • There is an actual Catholic priest overlooking this disaster? This place held a piece of the crown of thorns and they’re going to turn it into a woke museum?
  • They’re going to get rid of confessionals and some Gothic art for street art and crappy modern art? They’re going to replace works of art with graffiti?

The woke need to destroy history and religion.

 

They’re Missing the Point

The estate of George Orwell has approved a feminist retelling of Nineteen Eighty-Four, which reimagines the story from the perspective of Winston Smith’s lover Julia.

Incredible. George Orwell must be turning in his grave at the thought that his own family doesn’t understand the concept of his masterpiece.

Just to review, Winston Smith is a man whose job is to rewrite history and news per the government’s edict! 

If any of these people reads the book, Smith is the main character because he is weak and susceptible to the edicts of the government whereas Julia is already strong and fights the mind control of the government. You see the struggle Winston goes through trying to break away from the government and be with his lover Julia, which is against the law. It’s how she pulls Winston to discovering the world outside the government world.

They are both, eventually, arrested and sent to a re-education camp where Winston is brainwashed and Julia is not. Julia is already a strong character whereas Winston is not.

The book has to do with a dystopian society and how the government controls the people. It has nothing to do with gender. One of the ways the government controls is through re-writing news and history and eliminating books that counter the government’s narrative. Exactly what these people want to do by re-writing Orwell’s book.

Thank God that I bought a hard copy of the book because I suspect it will not be available soon. I will take the racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, trans-phobic version and let the woke read the newer, crappy version.

Episode 462 – They Caught Your Attacker, Juicy!

Juicy Smollett might be going to prison.

Here some news that needs to be told but I really don’t care enough about to spend a lot of time on.

  • Jussie Smollett has been convicted on 5 of six felony charges.
    • I didn’t cover this because I just thought this was all stupid from the beginning. But the media went nuts over it and it shows how corrupt law enforcement is in Chicago.
    • The charges:
      • Count 1 accused him of telling responding Chicago Police Officer Muhammed Baig at around 2:45 a.m., some 45 minutes after the purported attack, that he was the victim of a hate crime. He said two attackers put a rope around his neck. Count 2 referred to Smollett telling the same officer he was a victim of a battery, describing attackers beating and pouring bleach on him.
      • Counts 3 and 4 stemmed from Smollett making the same claims but to a different officer, Kimberly Murray, later that morning, just before 6 a.m. 
      • Count 5 accused Smollett of again telling Murray at around 7:15 p.m. that he was the victim of a battery. Count 6 referred to Smollett reporting on Feb. 14, 2019, to detective Robert Graves that he’d been a victim of an aggravated battery.
    • Each count holds up to three years in prison each.
    • This story is only important because it shows how race hoaxes are everywhere and that race crime is really not much of a thing in this country about 3%).
    • Smollett should do time but probably won’t. He’ll probably get probation.
  • A Starbucks coffee shop in Buffalo, New York, became the first in the nation to unionize — placing pressure on a national chain already beleaguered by labor shortages.
    • This is a delicious story because Starbuck is so Left leaning and now they are getting it from all their Leftist employees.
    • Otherwise, a real business owner would fire anyone who even threatened to unionize.
    • But that’s what the people of Buffalo needs. Coffee that is going to cost $8 a cup so the nineteen year old can earn $24 an hour.
  • Twelve major cities have set new records for homicide and they still have a month left to count. Those cities are:
    • Philadelphia, Penn has a new record of 521.
    • Philly can not compete with Los Angeles (352), New York (443) and Chicago (777).
    • All twelve cities are run by Leftist mayors are St. Paul, MN; Austin, TX; Portland, OR; Baton Rouge, LA; Columbus, OH, Louisville KY; Rochester, NY; Toledo, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Albuquerque, NM and Tucson, AZ.

Going Up and Up and Up!

U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) gave the Biden administration more bad news:

“The all items index rose 6.8 percent for the 12 months ending October, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending June 1982.”

The Wall Street Journal reported:

The so-called core price index, which excludes the often-volatile categories of food and energy, climbed 4.9% in November from a year earlier. That was a sharper increase than October’s 4.6% rise, and the highest rate since 1991.

The November prices trend came before the emergence of the Omicron variant of Covid-19, which poses a new threat from a pandemic that is well into its second year.

Be prepared to have a very expensive Christmas if we are going to be allowed to travel, this year, because of the Omicron variant of the China virus (more on that later).

But be prepared for this to continue going up. Soon we’ll need a credit score to by hamburger. Jerome H. Powell, the Fed chair, said during congressional testimony:

“Generally, the higher prices we’re seeing are related to the supply-and-demand imbalances that can be traced directly back to the pandemic and the reopening of the economy, but it’s also the case that price increases have spread much more broadly in the recent few months. I think the risk of higher inflation has increased.”

This Omicron variant of the China virus, which, by the way, hasn’t killed anyone yet, is causing everyone to go into a tizzy. Well, they keep telling us to go into a tizzy. The politicians continue not to wear masks and going to dance clubs. Here are some of the stories.

 

Harsher?

Olaf Scholz, the new Chancellor of Germany, is a far Leftist. He’s concerned about the environment and social justice. He was supported by the Green party (environmentalist) and the Liberal Free Democrats (FDP). Neither of these groups ever had a position in the government before. Now, they’re in charge.

So what’s the first thing Scholz is going to do? Implement harsher COVID restrictions.

Angela Merkel said she would work with the new Prime Minister:

“We have understood that the situation is very serious and that we want to take further measures in addition to those already taken. The fourth wave must be broken and this has not yet been achieved.”

By the way, did I mention omicron hasn’t killed anyone yet? By the way, Omicron is not the fourth variant. It’s the 13th variant. We only know of alpha, delta and omicron. The other nine were never mentioned.

According to the Daily Wire:

Germany’s health minister warned the nation’s citizens that they will either be “vaccinated, recovered or dead” by the end of the winter.

Yeah, not an overreaction by the German government. I think, in a couple of weeks, Auschwitz and Dackau will be opening back up.

 

Portland, OR

At an elementary school in Portland, Oregon, kindergartners were videotaped eating lunch outside and sitting on buckets socially distanced in 40-degree weather. Of course, the teachers were in the warm classroom eating their lunch.

Do you get it now that the schools don’t give a rat’s ass about your kids yet?

One distraught parent contacted the media and stated:

As a parent of a student at Capitol Hill Elementary, this policy is abhorrent. I am beyond furious, especially knowing children are low-risk. Governor Brown maskless in DC this weekend was the last straw. We’ve been patient with all of the policies here in Portland in hopes of not being ostracized within the community, but this is the last straw. I will be picking my child up to have lunch at home.

What she’s talking about is Gov. Kate Brown, who has implemented a mask mandate that appears to be permanent, was attending the LGBTQ Victory Fund’s 30th Anniversary Gala in Washington D.C. to be inducted into its Hall of Fame on Saturday and was photographed at an indoor gala without a mask. Washington D.C. does not have an indoor mask mandate.

These people care about your children and you? These people are worried about the virus? Yeah, no.

 

When Is He Going Away

I am not getting the booster. According to Tony Fauci, I will have a month before my vaccinations are worthless, which is not something I was told when I got the jab. Well, we were pretty much lied to the entire time. We were lied to about the side effects. We were lied to about using fetal stem cells in the development. We were lied to that we would not catch it if vaccinated. We were lied to about never wearing masks again. The government has done nothing but lie to us.

Dr. Fauci is at it again:

Let’s see:

  • Social distancing hasn’t worked.
  • Masking hasn’t worked.
  • The shutdowns haven’t worked.
  • The vaccines haven’t worked.

Can’t he say he doesn’t know? Can’t he say that this virus is endemic and we are going to have to live with it? Of course he can’t. He likes getting paid (he’s the highest paid government employee), he likes being on television all the time and he likes to power he has. So does the government. Dr. Fauci is the government’s white knight for the government taking control of the people.

But that might have changed already.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla also said a fourth dose may be needed, and maybe faster than Fauci’s timeline.  Right now, Fauci says a third shot is now most definitely needed for better protection.

I’m am not going to read the science based stuff but Pfizer says that we need a third wave of shots. The first two doses and two boosters.

By the way, we talked about Fauci’s motivations are but what about Bourla’s? He’s basically admitting his vaccine doesn’t work. But he’s using the fear of the people, the government and the media to make billions of dollars to have his vaccines given. No one is asking Bourla or Fauci is why we should trust the vaccines if they appear not to work.

Again, I’m not against the vaccines but I am against getting lied to.

  • Maribel Duarte, whose son is a student at the Barack Obama Global Prep Academy in South Los Angeles, told NBC 4 Los Angeles that her son brought home a vaccine card from school after he agreed to get inoculated in exchange for pizza.
    • Schools are allowed to recommend abortions and hormone therapy for kids who think they are the opposite sex. Is this really a shock?
    • Your kids are not your own according to the government. The schools are part of the government.
    • You have two choices: home school your kid or get them into a religious school that doesn’t buy this crap.
    • Also, teach your kids to ask questions.
  • Saule Omarova, Democrat President Joe Biden’s nominee for comptroller of the currency, has withdrawn her name from consideration for the position after facing increasing opposition to nomination over allegations that she was a Marxist.
  • According to NBA insider Shams Charania: “Sources: Beginning Jan. 15, any NBA player who is not fully vaccinated will be unable to enter Canada to play games in Toronto,” Charania said on Twitter. “Canadian government will require all individuals entering Canada to be fully vaccinated.”
  • Over the weekend, a swimmer from the University of Pennsylvania who swam competitively for the men’s team for three years before switching to the women’s team, destroyed the biological women in the competition. His name was Will Thomas who changed his name to Lia Thomas.
    • He won the 1650 meter race by 38 seconds.
    • He won the 500 meters by 12 seconds.
    • He won the 200 meters by 7 seconds.
    • He was a fair to middling swimmer against the men.
    •  He grew his hair out, still has all his body hair, still height, still has his muscle mass and still has his balls.
    • There was a huge uproar on social media about this guy.
    • The NCAA rules state: A trans female (MTF) student-athlete being treated with testosterone suppression medication for Gender Identity Disorder or gender dysphoria and/or Transsexualism, for the purposes of NCAA competition may continue to compete on a men’s team but may not compete on a women’s team without changing it to a mixed team status until completing one calendar year of testosterone suppression treatment.
    • Yeah, the testosterone suppression didn’t take.

Finally, the New York Post reports:

A Chinese lunar rover has been sent on a mission to investigate a mysterious cube-shaped object spotted on the dark side of the moon.

The strange white object appears oddly geometric against the stark black horizon in images and prompted scientists from China’s Change 4 mission to send its Yutu 2 rover on a two- to three-month journey to check it out, according to Our Space.

China’s National Space Administration (CNSA) describes the object as a “mysterious hut.”

Sure.

I don’t believe China at all when it comes to discovery. They seem to be more like North Korea with their boasts.

Russia vs. Ukraine 2.0?

Joe Biden is going to be challenged on the foreign policy front again. This time, from Russia.

 

The Situation

Russia is reportedly preparing to launch a massive invasion into Ukraine in the immediate future with up to 175,000 troops, armor, and artillery mass at the border of Ukraine.

The Washington Post reported:

“The Kremlin has been moving troops toward the border with Ukraine while demanding Washington guarantee that Ukraine will not join NATO and that the alliance will refrain from certain military activities in and around Ukrainian territory. While Ukrainian assessments have said Russia has approximately 94,000 troops near the border, the U.S. map puts the number at 70,000 — but it predicts a buildup to as many as 175,000 and describes extensive movement of battalion tactical groups to and from the border ‘to obfuscate intentions and to create uncertainty.’”

Russia has never wanted Ukraine in NATO because Ukraine has been a satellite country for Russia throughout the 20th century. Russia doesn’t want to lose that especially with the resources that Russia could steal when they need it. If they are in NATO, NATO is committed to help the Ukraine whenever in trouble as they were when Russia invaded Crimea.

The reality is no one wants Ukraine in NATO because Ukraine has very little to offer the rest of the world. The United States didn’t think much of Russia invading Crimea. Barrack Obama sent them blankets. No weapons. Most Americans don’t want a fighting war with Russia through Ukraine. Putin knows this. He also knows Biden is weak and will give Russia anything they want.

A U.S. official told the Washington Post:

“The Russian plans call for a military offensive against Ukraine as soon as early 2022 with a scale of forces twice what we saw this past spring during Russia’s snap exercise near Ukraine’s borders. The plans involve extensive movement of 100 battalion tactical groups with an estimated 175,000 personnel, along with armor, artillery and equipment.”  

Remember when we talked about Joe Biden’s failure in Afghanistan being a beacon to embolden our enemies? Here it comes.

 

The Meeting

Joe Biden met with Vlad Putin over a two hour virtual meeting. The White House released a 145 word statement:

President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. held a secure video call today with President Vladimir Putin of Russia to discuss a range of issues on the U.S.-Russia agenda. President Biden voiced the deep concerns of the United States and our European Allies about Russia’s escalation of forces surrounding Ukraine and made clear that the U.S. and our Allies would respond with strong economic and other measures in the event of military escalation. President Biden reiterated his support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and called for de-escalation and a return to diplomacy. The two presidents tasked their teams to follow up, and the U.S. will do so in close coordination with allies and partners. The presidents also discussed the U.S.-Russia dialogue on Strategic Stability, a separate dialogue on ransomware, as well as joint work on regional issues such as Iran.

In other words, the meeting accomplished nothing.

On Monday, Biden spoke to President Emmanuel Macron of France, Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, Prime Minister Mario Draghi of Italy, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the United Kingdom on the subject of Russia.

Guess what? They’re not going to be too interested in doing anything either. Russia is pumping millions of gallons of oil to Europe via the Nord Stream pipeline, which Biden approved.

Good news! The Biden administration is making plans to get Americans out of Ukraine. I’m sure Joe Biden has learned how to surrender better since Afghanistan.

I pray for Taiwan. They don’t have a chance.

Strong Move

We finally got an answer about how the United States is going to deal with the Winter Olympics in China. It is the strong move from the Biden administration.

Let me review the evils of China:

  • The use slave labor (which American companies like Nike and Apple exploit).
  • They have concentration camps that hold Uyghur Muslims. Openly committing genocide and ethnic cleansing.
  • The have taken over Hong Kong, violating a treaty.
  • They are threatening Taiwan with a military invasion.
  • They steal our technology.
  • They use unfair trade practices, not holding to any of their agreements.
  • They manipulate their money.
  • Xi is president for life (a dictator) and has said that Chinese communism should be spread throughout the world.

But, let’s be honest, who’s really running?

  • Nike.
  • Apple.
  • Alphabet (Google).
  • Disney.
  • Facebook.
  • NBC.
  • And hundreds more.

Those companies would take it in the butt. Can’t let that happen.

Time To Dismantle Our Justice Department?

This is a very important story that is just getting ignored. It comes from Buzzfeed, which is not a conservative site.

It says:

Over the past 14 years, the Central Intelligence Agency has secretly amassed credible evidence that at least 10 of its employees and contractors committed sexual crimes involving children.

Though most of these cases were referred to US attorneys for prosecution, only one of the individuals was ever charged with a crime. Prosecutors sent the rest of the cases back to the CIA to handle internally, meaning few faced any consequences beyond the possible loss of their jobs and security clearances. That marks a striking deviation from how sex crimes involving children have been handled at other federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and the Drug Enforcement Administration. CIA insiders say the agency resists prosecution of its staff for fear the cases will reveal state secrets.

The revelations are contained in hundreds of internal agency reports obtained by BuzzFeed News through Freedom of Information Act lawsuits.

Some of the crimes include:

  • An employee had sexual contact with a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old. He was fired.
  • An employee purchased three sexually explicit videos of young girls, filmed by their mothers. He resigned.
  • An employee estimated that he had viewed up to 1,400 sexually abusive images of children while on agency assignments. The records do not say what action, if any, the CIA took against him.
  • A contractor who arranged for sex with an undercover FBI agent posing as a child had his contract revoked.

Though the CIA said that most employees were prosecuted, the paperwork obtained by Buzzfeed said that only one was prosecuted. Jeez, I wonder what he did.

The CIA said that most of the cases were handled internally. Prosecution was not an option because some of the people were involved with classified and sensitive operations that had national security concerns.

I think this story is big because it should really be the last straw when it comes to the federal law enforcement agencies. The FBI and CIA spent two years propagating Russian disinformation for two years, undermining a president. The FBI admitted spying on a U.S. president. People are being arrested and put in solitary confinement based on their political views, without trial. Reporters are being arrested. Parents are being monitored for complaining in front of school boards. All of this is happening in coordination with one political party.

This is not conspiracy theory. It’s all documented. That’s what we know. What don’t we know? This has been happening since Obama. Remember the IRS scandal? The Postal Service scandal? The monitoring and arrest of Fox News reporters under Obama?

The question is when do we start dismantling some of these bureaucracies. I’m not talking the people on the ground because most are good people and do their jobs. I’m talking about the people at the top. These are unelected officials, most lean one way politically and are usually in for life. They are unknown to the public and unaccountable.

Episode 460 – She Did What Now?

The last three podcasts have dealt with the case that could overturn Roe vs. Wade and Planned Parenthood vs. Casey. I have been tunnel-visioned. I have neglected all of the other news out there. I cannot miss the other important news that has been occurring in the world simply for a huge social issue that is important to me.

Let me bring you back up to date!

 

Personal News

So this there was some great news and some bad news from this weekend:

The good news:

  • I finished two chapters of my book. Both written and typing.
  • I found an artist to help me with my cover art and some of the pictures in my book. OK, it’s not a real artist. It’s my dad who took up painting when he retired.
  • I finished my Christmas shopping. All online. Josie wanted to go to a mall and she did. But she didn’t make me go. That was great news.
  • I gave her some money. She went to the mall but it was terribly crowded and she found nothing. She came back horribly frustrated and gave me back my money. That’s great news. Not that the malls were terribly crowded (which I thought was funny) or that she was horribly frustrated (Though I told you so, comes to mind) but that she gave me my money back.

Now comes the bad news:

  • When one successfully finishes their Christmas shopping online, the crap is eventually delivered. Yeah, that did happen.
  • Josie took all the 6 ounce presents to store in her 3300 square foot apartment but she made me keep the slide and climbing structure that is the size of one of the small pyramids in Egypt. Needless to say, I don’t have room for it in the shoebox that I live in.
  • I’m keeping it on my patio.
  • The problem I have is that it’s going to rain over the next two days. If a drop hits the box of Josie’s grandkids Christmas present, I am screwed.
  • What’s worse, I’m going to have to put this f-ing thing together.
  • I’m just kidding. I’m not putting the thing together. That’s her problem.

Anyway, let’s get to the important news.

 

I Can Believe It

According to the New York Post:

The unidentified female flew from Syracuse, NY, to Atlanta, GA, where she was caught breastfeeding her feline on the plane. A flight attendant told her repeatedly to stop and put her cat back in its cage, however, the woman refused.

I don’t even know what to say about this. Even with the world as it is, this is weird.

The story continues:

A message was sent through the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) to alert Delta crew in Atlanta that a passenger in seat 13A “is breastfeeding a cat and will not put cat back in its carrier when [flight attendant] requested.”

There are some things the flight crew could have done to use a technicality to have this gal put the cat back in its carrier. Ask her if the cat is masked.

By the way, this brings up another question. When the vax mandate hits, it the can going to need to be fully vaxxed? With the booster?

The article continues:

Flight attendant Ainsley Elizabeth, who was on board during the incident, took to TikTok on Nov. 13 to explain more of what went down, Newsweek reported.

“This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby,” she said. “Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.”

Not surprised. I do the same thing at the airport when my beer is watered down.

By the way, I would assume because this was one of those wussy cats because it doesn’t have any hair. I’m sure that not having any hair as a cat is a COVID co-morbidity or a pre-existing condition. It should have been wearing a mask and be vaccinated. I don’t need to get the China virus from this cat.

Innovative?

Europe has gone insane, or tyrannical when it comes to this stupid pandemic that kills less than 1% of their population.

Germany has decided to lockdown and separate the unvaccinated from the vaccinated. Sound familiar from Germany? They have grocery stores that have fencing. separating the vaxxed from the unvaxxed. I saw the pictures. First off I thought that fences and walls doesn’t work. Second, they were fences. Do they really think that a fences is going to stop a virus?

Anyway, Italy has also gone nuts, requiring vaccination to live life. Well, one guys came up with a brilliant idea to get a legal vaccine card without actually getting the shot.

Guido Russo, 57, had refused to get the jab before showing up Thursday at a vaccine center in Biella, where he used a silicone prosthetic during his ill-fated ploy to trick a nurse with the “well-made” fake arm, the Corriere della Sera newspaper reported.

It worked for the first shot. But, apparently, the nurse during his second shot got a little touchy feely and found out that his arm was fake and his real arm was under his shirt.

This poor bastard is now being investigated for fraud. Russo is a dentist and requires something called a super green pass to live life in Italy. He said his life is now ruined.

According to the New York Post:

“Go away, you have ruined my life,” a peeved Russo told reporters from the behind the door of a villa in Pettinengo. “Go away, I’ll call the carabinieri.”

Russo had told the nurse last week who uncovered his bogus arm that he found himself in a bind.

“I don’t want to get the vaccine, but I need the green pass to work,” he told the nurse, Filippa Bua, la Repubblica reported Sunday.

His life is probably not ruined. Typical Italian exaggeration.

There was no mention of what penalties he could face but he says that his new found fame.

Isn’t There Something Else They Could Research

According to the New York Post:

Taking Viagra slashes Alzheimer’s risk by two-thirds, research suggests.

Scientists claim the love drug may help boost brain health and cut levels of toxic proteins that trigger dementia.

Experts analyzed data on 7.2 million US adults and found regular users had a 69 percent lower chance of being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s over the next six years.

Medics say the findings, published in the journal Nature Aging, suggest the little blue pill could soon be prescribed to tackle dementia.

At least when I get older and I get turned on I’ll remember why.

I remember, in the movie Idiocracy, researchers were doing research on making the perfect anti-ED pill instead of researching something one might think is more important like, I don’t know, cancer.

Here’s the Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease. My grandfather had it. But there are two things about this that annoy me. First, Viagra is not exactly a pill that can be taken by an Alzheimer patient, you know, because of the side effects. Not only the obvious side effect but also blood circulation issues that may be dangerous to older people and the reaction that it has with other drugs which older people are surely using. It also is dangerous for high blood pressure patients and patients with heart issues.

But that isn’t my biggest problem with this. You know who makes Viagra? Pfizer. You know what Pfizer also makes? The China virus vaccine. You  know what we know about the China virus vaccine? Not much.

We don’t know the long term effects. We don’t know how long it lasts or why it’s not effective. We don’t know the B-cell and T-cell effects. Maybe Pfizer should stop screwing around with an ED pill and figure that crap out.

In Massachusetts, an enterprising entrepreneur has opened a store called “Let’s Go Brandon.” The North Attleborough store “sells merchandise like hats, shirts, stickers and signs,” as WJAR reports.

The ubiquitous “Let’s Go Brandon” meme was triggered in early October, when an NBC sports reporter interviewing NASCAR driver Brandon Brown at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama after Brown scored his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series win stated in a video that the crowd was chanting “Let’s go, Brandon!” when in reality they were chanting “F*** Joe Biden.”

This store probably has a lease for only a short time because we have no idea how long Joe Biden is going to be President but this guy is going to make a ton of money in the meantime. What is also surprising is that this store is opened in Massachusetts which is a really blue state.

I’ll repeat what I said before. This is great. Joe Biden has become a national joke. People are beginning to push back against his idiocy. People are recognizing the damage he’s doing. The problem is that Joe Biden has the mental awareness of a palm tree. He’s not running things. We have only about a month to go before his damage can be limited because the campaign season for the 2022 midterms starts and the Dems are going to get their asses kicked and know it. The last thing they want is to go radical while debating a Republican.

We Need More Drugs!

City officials in San Francisco want to delay the imposition of a tax on lawful recreational cannabis businesses to help them compete with illegal marijuana dealers.

“Cannabis businesses create good jobs for San Franciscans and provide safe, regulated products to their customers,” Supervisor Rafael Mandelman said in a tweet. “Now is not the time to impose a new tax on small businesses that are just getting established and trying to compete with illicit operators.”

Last week the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance to suspend the Cannabis Business Tax for the 2021 and 2022 tax years.

The ordinance requires a signature from San Francisco Mayor London Breed before it takes effect. “Mayor Breed does intend to sign the ordinance once it passes the Board of Supervisors on a second reading tomorrow,” the mayor’s office told NPR.

Remember when they legalized pot in California they said the state would be making all this money? This is the same reasoning they are using to legalize meth, heroin and coke. Well here’s the problem: If pot is too expensive in the stores, people will sell it cheaper on the streets. This was a debating point against legalization. It wasn’t going to get rid of the drug dealers because their dope was going to be cheaper.

There is another problem the pot dispensaries are having and think this is a bigger problem San Francisco is having in general. Gangs of thieves are breaking into the dispensaries and stealing the pot. Dispensaries are having trouble making a profit and keeping stock because of all the theft and break ins.

But, again, this shows the Left never wants to deal with their real problems.

  • They don’t want to deal with crime that is partially motivated by drugs.
  •  They don’t want to deal with the drug addiction the plagues their streets. In fact, they created places to use drugs and do not arrest those using in public.
  • They don’t want to deal homeless problem that is caused by mental illness or drugs.

Instead, the city council is trying to make drugs easier to get. This is cynical but they want it for a reason. The want to keep a city of zombies. They want to keep the misery and hopelessness. They want to keep it so they keep their power. San Francisco, and Los Angeles too, are centers of polar opposites. You have the rich and powerful, one has to be in San Francisco to afford a place to live. Then you have the drones.

San Francisco is Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. You have the elite, who are described as the Alphas. You have the drones, which are the brainless Deltas. The government encourages the use of drugs, called Soma, the keep the population content and high. Any dissatisfaction is cured by using Soma.

I am not against pot. I don’t think it’s any worse than alcohol. That doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s not dangerous at all and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. I also think it has some serious medicinal value. But there’s a reason the Left is pushing it. Control.

Why Do They Continue To Do This

This such a dumb story on so many levels.

According to the New York Post:

Columbia University will not discipline a professor who angered students by using the N-word while quoting a scene from the film “8 Mile,” according to the school’s newspaper.

The Columbia Spectator reported that tenured teacher Jonathan Rieder will not face punishment after students filed a Title IX complaint in the wake of the Oct. 28 class.

Rieder, who is white, used the term during a “Culture in America” lecture and claimed he thought it was permissible because he pronounced it with an “a” at the end of the slur, instead of an “er.”

“In retrospect, it’s fair to say that I didn’t need to quote the word,” he wrote in an email to students after the class, according to student news site Bwog. “I regret any pain or offense caused by my quoting, whether one student or the whole class felt pain or offense. You should know that in the remaining weeks of the course, no material will call for saying the word.”

Why anyone would send their kids to college makes me wonder some time.

First off, what kind of idiot is this professor? Does he not read the newspapers? Did he really think this was going to go well for him no matter how he pronounced the N-word?

He didn’t quote Shakespeare or Twain, he quoted Eminem. What the hell does Eminem have to say that should be quoted in a class at Columbia. And who in the hell approved this class and that it would be non-controversial? I will give the school credit for not canning the guy.

And, of course, the wall flower kids.

I remember when one could say anything in college because it’s a place of learning and sharing ideas! No matter how controversial. How are these kids going to survive when they have to get real jobs, screw up and then get yelled at. Why didn’t the school just throw these woke idiots out of class, or better, out of the school.

  • Bill de Blasio, who is leaving office in a month, has decided to screw New York as much as possible. He is the first mayor to implement a vax mandate to the private sector.
    • Vaccines for all private sector employees by December 27.
    • Proof of vaccination to go to restaurants, fitness facilities and entertainment facilities for children 5-11.
    • Requires 2 shots, up from 1.
    • This will affect:
      • 45% blacks.
      • 40% whites.
      • 30% Hispanic.
    • Is this Constitutional? This time it might be.
  • Afghanistan update according to the New York Times:
    • 22.8 million people, half the country, are facing starvation including 1 million children.
    • The Taliban were providing one meal a day for families. Now they are not guaranteeing that.
    • The economic system is crashing with sanctions from the United States and foreign aid from other nations not coming in.
    •  There is up to 50% unemployment.
    • Crops are failing and animals are starving.
    • The Taliban is having issues keeping power on in the middle of winter.
  • Russia, who also has a hypersonic missile, is now planning to invade Ukraine. Yay! This will be another foreign policy issue Biden can f-up.
  • The Chicago Public School District (CPS) is changing its signage for restrooms in all schools requiring the schools to adopt signage which no longer is separated into boys’ and girls’ restrooms but rather open to members of both sexes.

Their Sacrament of Abortion is Under Attack

In the last two podcasts, we talked about abortion and the current fight in front of the Supreme Court. What we didn’t talk about was the reaction. Needless to say, it has been really over-the-top. Let’s take  look.

 

The Protests

There were around 20,000 people protesting at the Supreme Court last week. It was pretty split, a lot of protestors were anti-abortion.

The anti-abortionists basically said the same thing. Parenthood is great and abortion is murder. But, of course, the media covers the pro-abortionist view. Too bad Julie Rikelman, who argued in front of the Supreme Court, never argued any of the points of the protestors:

Some things:

  • Women will to jail or die? Really? That didn’t happen when abortion was illegal. That whole urban legend of millions of women dying of back ally abortions never happened.
    • The head of NARAL admitted he made that up (Bernard Nathanson of NARAL).
    • In 1972, there was only 32 deaths due to illegal abortions.
    • Turns out, when you make something illegal, people don’t do that thing. This is my case for being against drug legalization.
  • There is not one restrictive abortion law, including the one in Texas, that criminalizes or penalizes abortion that goes after the woman.

Here’s something better. A bunch of gals decided to get together and take abortion pills to prove their support for abortion. Here’s that little clip:

I don’t know about you and I’m no doctor, but a pill that enacts hormones to push something out of your body that’s naturally in your body sounds like it’s probably not great for your body. These pills don’t even get one high.

I don’t know how many abortion pills these gals took but I hope they took a whole bunch.

 

Politicians

Nancy Pelosi had something to say about it. I hate putting her clips on because, between her being 80 years old and her dentures, you can barely understand what she’s saying. But I think it’s rich hearing her say anything. Listen:

  • We’ve already talked about stare decisis and the other arguments, which she doesn’t mention. So, we’ll go past that. By the way, the only argument she brought up was stare decisis.
  • This woman is a “Catholic” and has five children. Does she really believe in abortion? Is she really the best speaker for abortion? Could she have political motives to being pro-abortion.
  •  I do not want to get a sex-ed lecture from someone who’s pro-abortion.
    • Anti-abortionists take responsibility before you get pregnant!
    • Don’t have sex, use contraception, get married.
    • Get your life together before you do something that will get you pregnant.
    • Personal responsibility is part of the sexual act. I know the Left hates personal responsibility.
    • What anti-abortionists are saying is getting pregnant is a little late. Pregnancy isn’t spread like the cold. We know how it happens and where it comes from. Be responsible then. Once pregnant, the horse is out of the barn.

Some things:

  • For me, Jayapal, who has had an abortion, shows she has no personal responsibility and bad judgement. She should not have a position of power in government.
  • Outside of that, she is admitting that the abortion argument is weak.
  • The back ally abortion thing is not a thing. It was a lie.

 

The Media

The media has also had a lot of problems with this. Let’s listen to the genius of The View, Joy Behar.

Some things:

  • I love getting lectured from pro-abortionists about sex and how we don’t know anything. The Left has forgotten that sex leads to pregnancy.
  • This is why I choose to use contraception over birth control. I think you need to control conception. Birth control controls birth. Abortion is part of that.
  • No one is having sex with Joy Behar. She is a disgusting human being and I find it contraception to hear anything about sex coming from her mouth.
  • She’s leaving The View. Though they have many idiots on that show, she is the queen idiot and I’ll miss her for comedic reasons.

Then there’s Whoopi Goldberg from The View. 

Some things:

  • I have been reliably told by the ladies of The View that men can get pregnant. She just blew her entire argument, right of the bat.
  • Also, it doesn’t matter if I’m a man or a women, both, or neither; evil is evil.
    • Slavery was ended by white men.
    • The right to vote was given by men.
  • Finally, no one is touching Whoopie Goldberg’s body.

 

Opinion

Here is a crazy article that goes on to demonize adoption. This is from the New York Times called I Was Adopted. I Know The Trauma It Can Inflict by Elizabeth Spiers. I find this essay disturbing because it is trying to demonize any alternative to abortion. What is funny about the article is just how insane it is. It makes no sense whatsoever.

It is also one of the most egregious examples of debating from the position of moral authority I have ever seen.

On Wednesday, as the Supreme Court heard oral arguments from state attorneys seeking to uphold Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, Justice Amy Coney Barrett kept getting at one question: Why was abortion necessary, when women who do not want to be mothers can simply give their babies up for adoption?

As an adoptee myself, I was floored by Justice Barrett’s assumption that adoption is an accessible and desirable alternative for women who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant. She may not realize it, but what she is suggesting is that women don’t need access to abortion because they can simply go do a thing that is infinitely more difficult, expensive, dangerous and potentially traumatic than terminating a pregnancy during its early stages.

As an adoptive mother herself, Justice Barrett should have some inkling of the complexities of adoption and the toll it can inflict on children, as well as birth mothers. But she speaks as if adoption is some kind of idyllic fairy tale. My own adoption actually was what many would consider idyllic. I was raised by two adoptive parents, Alice and Terry, from the time I was an infant, and grew up in a home where I knew every day that I was loved. A few years ago, I found my biological mother, Maria, and three siblings I didn’t know I had via a DNA test and Facebook.

The first time I spoke to Maria on the phone — she lives in Alabama, not too far from my parents, and I live in Brooklyn — she apologized repeatedly for giving me up and told me she loved me and that I would always be family. “You are blood,” she would say later. I told her, and continue to tell her, every time she brings it up, that the apology is unnecessary. I had a wonderful childhood and I believe she had made the right decision. But she remains heartbroken about the years we missed together.

Both Maria and my mom, Alice, oppose abortion on religious grounds. My mom is white and Southern Baptist; Maria is Hispanic and Pentecostal. Both like to point to me to justify their beliefs, saying that had Maria gotten an abortion, I would not exist. It’s a familiar argument: The anti-abortion movement likes to invoke Nobel Prize winners who might never have materialized, or potential adoptees who might have cured cancer, if they hadn’t been aborted at eight weeks.

I’m no Nobel Prize winner, but I still resent being used as a political football by the right. I believe that abortion is a form of health care, and that every woman should have access to it if she needs it. But perhaps more than that, I resent the suggestion by people like Justice Barrett that adoption is a simple solution, and I resent it on behalf of Maria, who found the choice she made traumatizing and still feels that pain, 44 years later. Even when an adoption works out well, as it did in my case, it is still fraught.

When I echo Maria in saying that she “gave me up,” the language always rankles adoptive parents, because it introduces an unpleasant complexity — implying that my birth mother was not completely happy with her choice. Or worse, that it made her miserable. But that is sometimes the case, even when adoption is the best option for all involved. Adoption is not always an unalloyed good. It’s a complicated choice in a situation that has no right or wrong answer.

If the court overturns Roe v. Wade, many women will be forced to give birth to children they did not want or did not feel that they could afford to support. While pregnant, they will undergo the bonding with a child that happens by biological design as an embryo develops into a living, breathing, conscious human. And then that child will be taken away.

The right likes to suggest that abortion is a traumatic experience for women — a last resort, a painful memory. But adoption is often just as traumatic as the right thinks abortion is, if not more so, as a woman has to relinquish not a lump of cells but a fully formed baby she has lived with for nine months.

I’m a mother myself, to an adorable 6-year-old self-proclaimed Fortnite expert, and as is often the case, I did not know I was pregnant with him until the usual symptoms appeared a few weeks into the pregnancy. As anyone who has gestated a human will tell you, there is a vast difference between the fourth week of pregnancy and the 40th. By the 40th, you’re familiar with your baby’s regular rhythms of kicking and moving. When I awoke, my son would wake up shortly after and I’d feel him turning and stretching, or less pleasantly, jamming his precious little foot into what felt like my cervix. This is one of the paradoxes of pregnancy: Something alien is usurping your body and sapping you of nutrition and energy, but you’re programmed to gleefully enable it and you become desperately protective of it. It’s a kind of biological brainwashing. And this often happens whether you want to be a parent or not.

Justice Barrett is well aware of the kind of biological brainwashing that occurs during pregnancy; she gave birth to five children. And yet she blithely seems to assume that a mother can simply choose not to bond with the child she’s gestating solely on the basis that she is not ready to be a mother or believes that she is unable to provide for the child. She assumes that the mother will be supported financially and otherwise, throughout the pregnancy, even in a country where maternal mortality statistics are abysmal. And she assumes that children surrendered for adoption will find a home, and not a bed in the foster care system. She probably assumes these things because she cannot fathom being in this position herself. These are assumptions that stem from the privilege of being financially secure, having never needed an abortion, and perhaps the assumption that women who do have done something wrong and must face the consequences.

In my experience, some on the right believe that the trauma adoption inflicts is a consequence of irresponsibility. But unexpected pregnancy is not a de facto function of bad decision making. It can be a failure of contraception, the product of a rape, a mistaken belief that a woman is infertile. There is no justifiable reason to inflict harm on women and the babies they might produce in any of these situations, regardless of judgment.

The trauma doesn’t just affect mothers, either. Researchers have a term for what children who are adopted, even as infants, may suffer from later in life: relinquishment trauma. The premise is that babies bond with their mothers in utero and become familiar with their behaviors. When their first caretaker is not the biological mother, they register the difference and the stress of it has lasting effects.

I probably got off easy in that respect, in part because I did spend a few months with my biological mother before I was adopted, but that had the unintended effect of traumatizing my older siblings, who remember me as a baby who was there, and then suddenly was gone. This was driven home to me by my older sister Bobbi, whose first encounter with me was over Facebook. “All I can say is I remember you,” she wrote. “I have loved you and missed you my entire life.”

What Justice Barrett and others are suggesting women do in lieu of abortion is not a small thing. It is life changing, irrevocable, and not to be taken lightly. It often causes trauma, even when things work out, and it’s a disservice to adoptees and their families, biological and adopted, to pretend otherwise in service of a neat political narrative.

Episode 458 – The Arguments

We went through the Mississippi 15-week abortion limits, Roe versus Wade and Planned Parenthood versus Casey. Now, let’s look at the arguments from this week’s Dobbs versus Jackson’s Women Health Organization.

 

The Arguments

I struggled to figure out how to format this whole thing and I decided to focus on the arguments of the lawyers rather than all of the questions from the Justices, though we will look at a couple of the questions and comments. This is because we can get an idea on how they are going to rule and we can see who is an activist on the court and who is actually looking at the precedents.

Now, please understand something. I am biased. I am very anti-abortion.

 

Argument to Overturn Roe and Casey

The lawyer arguing for the Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks is the Mississippi Solicitor General, Scott Stuart. Let’s listen to his opening:

Some things:

  1. The statements in the beginning where he says the damage that Roe and Casey have done are correct though they aren’t the first cases that did this. But, the cases are damaging because of the deaths they have caused over the last 50 years.
  2. This is an interesting point he brings up. There seems to be this belief that if a woman is in mortal danger by giving birth, she still can’t get an abortion. This is hogwash and always has been.
    • The mother’s life has always been more important than the fetus’s life. Abortion has always been permissible.
    • Even conservative religions like Catholicism and Judaism believe this and permit abortion when the mother’s life is in danger.
  3.  All of this is true.
      • We know for a fact that the baby is a human being at conception.
      • We know that abortion is both psychologically, emotionally and physically damaging to the woman. We just have to look at Kermit Gosnell to know this. Many of his patients were left sterile and a few died.
      • The process of abortion is brutal.
        • The doctor poisons the fetus.
        • Sucks out the brain to collapse the skull.
        • The cuts the fetus into pieces and then sucks out the pieces. This is also a major cause for infection within the woman.
  4. This is a very important point.
          • The idea with the Constitution is that decisions like this is left to the people of the state unless it is directly mentioned in the Constitution.
          • Abortion is not mentioned, at all, in the Constitution.
          • Privacy, which is what Roe rides on, is not mentioned in the Constitution.
          • Therefore, it should be up to the people of the state to make the decision on whether abortion is legal, restricted or illegal.
          • I also liked the way he argued for the rights of the fetus and killing the fetus violates his rights to due process and “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness”.
  5. This is also the great lie of the Left. If Roe and Casey are overturned, abortion will not be banned throughout the country. Quite the opposite for certain states like California, New York or Virginia. Abortion will probably be expanded. In those states you might be able to abort a kid after it is born.

One thing he does not mention in “women’s rights”. This is not an accident. It is not a right if that right harms another. In his argument, he makes very clear the humanity of the baby though I would have liked him to make a more scientific argument (though I am sure that is in his written brief and he only has two minutes for oral arguments).

 

 

Argument to Keep Roe and Casey

The respondent is Julie Rikelman who is the Senior Director of the Center for Reproductive Rights. Let’s Listen to her opening:

Some things:

  1. Her first premise is way off here.
    1. The viability standard is a subjective, non-scientific standard. There are children that have survived outside the womb over a month before the viability standard.
    2. The problem with the precedent is that it was unconstitutional.
    3. The forcing of women to “remain pregnant and force birth” is a false argument. The choice was when they decided to have sex and get pregnant. Nothing was being done against their will while getting pregnant.
  2. Stare Decisis is a weak argument.
    1. Stare decisis is defined is Latin for “to stand by things decided.” In short, it is the doctrine of precedent. Courts cite to stare decisis when an issue has been previously brought to the court and a ruling already issued. … Horizontal stare decisis refers to a court adhering to its own precedent.
    2. There have been plenty of precedents overturned in spite of stare decisis including Dread Scott to end Jim Crow laws. Why? Because they were evil and previous court cases were wrong which allowed the evil to continue.
    3. But I would say this is her strongest case.
    4. I also want to point out that she talked about “liberty” throughout her argument and not “privacy”. That’s because that is the wording of Section 1 of the XIV Amendment and she knows she has a bunch of textualists in the court.
    5. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong and how long a bad precedent has been around is irrelevant.
  3. The argument against this is simple:
    1. Roe and Casey weren’t right. They’re wrong morally, legally and scientifically.
    2. Again, the state is not taking anyone’s liberty away. It’s restoring the liberty of the baby.
    3. Abortion also has physical and emotional risks. Abortion is not safe, especially for the human being who is being terminated.
    4. I love the talk of consequences. Right now, consequences are on the federal government. By overturning Roe and Casey, consequences shift to the woman and man to take responsibility not to get pregnant.
    5. Again:
      1. Not a right when it violates the rights of another (in this case, the fetus).
      2. Not a Constitutional right because it’s not in the Constitution, which is why Roe and Casey are bad precedents.
  4. Propel women backwards?
    1. Everyone’s a victim. Women, poor women, she didn’t say women of color probably because Margaret Sanger of Planned Parenthood was a racist and a eugenicist and that would have opened a can of worms.
    2. What about the baby? Dead is pretty backwards. Notice, the baby is not one of her victims.
    3. Here’s something: Responsibility and consequences for bad decisions does sometimes suck.

Notice she doesn’t address something in this entire argument. She never denies that the fetus is a human being. She arguing about the viability of that human being and that should be the basis of the court’s decision. You hear during abortion protests that the fetus is just a clump of cells. Rikelman doesn’t say that. That does not make for a good argument when your opponent is arguing you’re killing a human being.

In fact, she doesn’t mention the fetus at all in her argument. It’s all women’s rights crap. The fetus is a human being. It is a human being at conception. Rikelman doesn’t argue that. This is the problem with the pro-abortion crowd. They can’t argue any of the facts. She did nothing to convince me of anything.

 

The Justices

Here’s Clarence Thomas asking Rikelman about what argument she’s trying to make.

Some things:

  • Thomas scored a huge hit on Rikelman.
  • Rikelman seems to be trying to rewrite Roe.
  • Roe was about privacy, not liberty. This is a problem for her because justices like Thomas may see the precedent as invalid since the XIV Amendment does not mention privacy.
  • Instead of saying, “I don’t know,” she goes on about liberty as if it means privacy.
  • She has no answer.

Here’s Justice Sotomayor making an insane comparison and expecting Stuart to answer to insanity.

Some things here:

  • I used to think you had to be smart to be on the Supreme Court. I have been corrected. This is an insane assertion. Or just an assertion of the truly stupid.
  • Brain death is degenerative and will lead to…wait for it…death.
  • A fetus is a developing person. In fact, a human being’s brain develops until the age of 25 when their prefrontal cortex is, finally, fully developed. That’s why people do stupid things at 21.
  • Sotomayor has shown herself as a biased, activist judge.
  • There is no reason for Stuart to take any of her question seriously. She has already made her choice.
  • This also shows how these judges, like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, feel that the Constitution can be manipulated.

But, Sotomayor continues with her stupidity, totally missing what her job is. I can’t believe this broad in on the Supreme Court for the rest of her life:

Some things:

  • Um…what?
  • She has been appointed to the Supreme Court for life so she would be immune to public opinion and politics.
    • Read the Constitution.
    • Read The Federalist Papers.
    • She should be impeached from the court because she believes this.
  • Casey and Roe, which is what Stuart argues, were create because of popular opinion and politics. That shouldn’t have happened.
  • One thing I want to point out: She muddies the waters between the rights that are actually guaranteed by the Constitution and rights that are permitted by precedence. That is a huge mistake.
    • The only rights that are guaranteed are the ones through the Constitution. These are divine and God-given.
    • Rights through precedence are not rights. They are law that can be overturned.
    • If you want a right to be guaranteed, to be defined as God-given, we must go through the amendment process.
    • Abortion would never make it through the amendment process. It’s been tried.
  • This just shows we need term limits for Supreme Court Justices.

Here is Sotomayer continuing to be an idiot. This time, she not only denigrates Stuart’s argument but insults 80% of the United States. So much for giving a crap what the people think.

Some things:

  • I love this question. It shows the Left for what they are.
  • First off, Stuart made reasonable, moral argument. He never said anything about religion.
  • Second, debates about life, philosophically, which is what Sotomayor wants to focus on, does not change the science. That’s telling about how she is going to rule. She’s ignoring the science, which is absolute, and bringing it to a philosophical question, which isn’t. Science says, life starts at conception. Philosophy, at this point, is not even a question. It’s not even a debating point.
  • Stuart never made a religious or philosophical argument. It is a scientific argument based on decades of research. That’s why he’s so thrown off at the question.
  • It is actually Rikelman that makes the philosophical argument that is based on what we knew in 1993 with Casey.
  • Outside of the fact this is a smack at religion (in this case, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which all ban abortion) it equates religion with morality.
  • And, it pushes law away from morality which law has a very iffy relationship with morality anyway.
  • Unfortunately, I could only answer these questions with questions because this is an insane question:
    • Is all morality based on religion?
    •  If so, with that fictitious separation of Church and State from that misread letter by Thomas Jefferson, does that mean law needs to be completely separated from morality?
  • Of course, neither is correct. If so, one could make murder arguably legal because those against murder could be see as moral and, therefore, religious. And we have separation of church and state.
  • This question has not been criticized enough. It’s an insane question.

Not the end of insanity when it comes to religion.

Here is Justice Stephen Breyer asking Stuart what atheists have said abortion is bad.

Some things:

  • Philosopher and bioethicists? Is this f-ing guy kidding?
  • Stuart is basing everything on actual science. Not ethics, not philosophy.

But let’s look at a couple of atheists who touted morality.

How about Friedrich Nietzsche. A humanist. When he said, “God is Dead” in The Gay Science, he wasn’t celebrating God being dead. He was lamenting it. He thought man needed religious morality to keep him from being tyrannical which would have led to the deaths of people.

What other philosopher believed in morality, not necessarily, religious morality? Albert Camus, the Absurdist who broke away from Jean Paul Sartre’s Existentialism. In The Stranger, he said we still have moral responsibility even though there is no moral bounds created by religion.

But, the reality is, Stuart made a scientific argument. He made a Constitutional argument. Religion had nothing to do with it.

Here is Clarence Thomas bringing things back to reality. What’s the law? What is it in the Constitution that makes your summation right?

Some things:

  • Thomas is looking for words.
  • She has none. She keeps throwing out keywords Thomas might like. One of the words she doesn’t throw out is “privacy”.
  • This is weak tea.

Thomas keeps pushing and he shows how lacking the pro-abortion attorney is in knowledge.

Some things:

  • Typical Leftist response.
  • Thomas asks a specific question. “What Constitution says abortion is Constitutional?”
  • Rikelman gives a long-winded word-salad that does not answer his question.
  • Thomas, in a few words, rephrases her answer. Is abortion the Constitution guarantees?
  • She gives a long worded that abortion is the guarantee in the Constitution.
  • Here’s the problem for the pro-abortion litigant: Abortion is not defined in the Constitution.
  • There would be no reason for Roe or Casey if it was. I’m sire she’s kicking herself in the ass right now.

Episode 457 – So What Is This All About?

I’m a big anti-abortion guy and abortion is on the docket of the Supreme Court. Let’s talk about what is on the line here.

 

News

We have a lot to talk with the Supreme Court case but there is so much news that we can’t skip it. So let’s do a quick look at the news.

  • Remember, last week, Biden released 50 million gallons of oil from the reserve? Yeah, well gas went down $.02 and the Democrats are celebrating that. Of course, gas at my station down the street went up $.10 so I’m not really sure what they are talking about.
  • The November jobs report is out and it is horribly disappointing…again. There were 210,000 jobs created. The Dow expected 573,000 jobs so less than half have been created. The unemployment rate fell to 4.2%. That’s good but let’s not forget a couple of things:
    • We have to remember the Trump’s economy before the pandemic was at 3.4%.
    • The long term unemployed and the people who have just left the work force is going up which will affect the unemployment rate.
  • An English professor, Christopher Trogan, from Fordham University, was fired because he confused the names to two black, female students in his class.
    • The two wrote him an E-mail saying they felt “disheartened and disrespected” and they believed it happened because they were black.
    • Trogan claimed it was an honest mistake. Trogan emailed the students back and claimed he was “centered specifically and explicitly around issues of justice, equality, and inclusion.”
    • Trogan then went into details about his credentials, and commented on “everything he has done for minorities.”
    • That was overkill. As one of the students involved told The Observer, “It seemed a little excessive, like all you needed to do was say sorry and it would have been fine. We were not actually that upset about him mixing up our names. It was more so the random things he would throw into the response.”
    • The students agreed that Trogan was giving off the vibe of a “white savior complex,” which he appeared to seal by offering to give up his job if the students felt they had been discriminated against, and inviting them to file a grievance to his superiors.
    • “Depending on your response,” he wrote in the email, “I may — or may not — be your professor in class next week. It’s all up to you.”
    • Two days later Fordham’s administration suspended him. A month later, he was unemployed.

New York Professor Mixes Up Two Black Students, Gets Fired For Defending Himself By Promoting His Woke Credentials

 

Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health

The Case

Let’s go over what this case is all about. It is a little confusing especially what could happen. I had to do a ton to figure it out myself. I know everyone is talking about Roe versus Wade but it’s not only about that. It also deals with Planned Parenthood versus Casey. Of course, this whole thing started with a law in Mississippi the limits abortion to before 15 weeks.

The ruling is going to make changes to either one of both of the previous precedence, throw out one or both of the precedence or throw out the Mississippi law. Let’s look at these precedents.

Roe versus Wade federally legalized abortion based on the woman’s “right to privacy” based on the due process clause of the 14th Amendment. It based legalized abortion to the second trimester of pregnancy.

There are some real problems with this case:

  • Here is Section 1 of the XIV Amendment: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
    • Do you see what’s missing here? The word privacy. In fact, the word privacy is not used in the entire Constitution. The word “privacy” was shaped in another precedent from the 1950’s.
    • The key word used here that the pro-abortion argument uses is “liberty”. This is important during the Supreme Court debate.
  • Viability is not mentioned here at all. That’s because no one was sure of the viability of the fetus and the Court admits that.
    • We did know about the viability of the fetus with the discovery of the test tube baby in 1980 which should have made this precedent obsolete.
    • This is why the pro-abortionists were afraid the precedent would be overturned and wanted to make the Equal Rights Amendment and Amendment to the Constitution.

Planned Parenthood versus Casey case arose from a challenge to 5 provisions of the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act of 1982; among the provisions were requirements for a waiting period, spousal notice, and (for minors) parental consent prior to undergoing an abortion procedure. Basically, it took away the states right to make any restrictions on abortion.

It also rid the trimester system from Roe versus Wade and switched to the 40-week system. This time, viability of the fetus was determined to be 24 weeks.

There are huge problems with this law:

  • It takes away states’ right to put limits on abortion. It federalizes the law. This is unconstitutional!
  • It creates limits. In other words, it is creating law! That’s not the Supreme Court’s job. Abortion is not in the Constitution!
  • The viability standard is still very subjective. The 24-week standard is not from science, it’s just some randomly picked number. We have had babies that have survived at 20 weeks.

Here’s the problem pro-abortionists have: Their precedents are build on sand. Roe v. Wade was always weak and everyone knows it. Even pro-abortionists know it. Planned Parenthood v. Casey tried to strengthen Roe v. Wade but it’s very weak. The reason is both create something that is not in the Constitution (they create laws) and not based on any science.

The Mississippi law does not attack Roe v. Wade directly but goes after Casey. It attacks the 24-week viability standard of Casey and the state’s ability to determine viability. All Mississippi has to prove is that a fetus is a human being, which is science, or, at least, prove that the fetus is a human being at 15 weeks. Hearing the arguments on Wednesday, they did that.

CNN says ciao bella to Chris Cuomo.

Chris Cuomo is out at CNN.

It was discovered that Chris Cuomo had used his media contacts to get information about his governor brother, Andrew Cuomo, on his sexual harassment victims. CNN couldn’t ignore this like they did for the last year. They finally suspended him indefinitely.

This is a big problem for CNN. Chris Cuomo’s show was the highest rated show on CNN. Now, that isn’t saying much. The Fox News show at 5 AM has higher rating than Chris Cuomo’s show. Heck, there are two HLN shows that are beating CNN’s top rated show. Don Lemon’s show is so in the tank, Chris Cuomo spent the first fifteen minutes of Lemon’s show joking around with Lemon to stop people from changing the channel. So what is CNN going to do.

I want you to remember one thing: Jeffry Toobin. Yes, the guy who was caught jerking off on a CNN Zoom call involving the 2020 elections. He, too, was indefinitely suspended. Now, Toobin is back on CNN, albeit at a distance from any other panel member. Call me cynical, but I see this being a bit of a publicity stunt. I think he might be off air for a month and then CNN will unsuspend him and they will celebrate the return of Chris Cuomo.

Here’s the thing, Chris Cuomo should have been fired. Not because he helped his brother, but because he’s an idiot and a liar. He lied about his brother. So it shouldn’t be a surprise they fired him. What’s a surprise is CNN hasn’t fired their entire lineup. They’re highest rated show is ranked around 25. This station needs to fix themselves and firing everyone is a good way to start.

A federal judge in Louisiana blocked Democrat President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for health care workers on Tuesday, issuing a nationwide injunction on Biden’s order.

Louisiana Western District U.S. Judge Terry Doughty wrote:

“If the separation of powers meant anything to the Constitutional framers, it meant that the three necessary ingredients to deprive a person of liberty or property – the power to make rules, to enforce them, and to judge their violations – could never fall into the same hands. If the executive branch is allowed to usurp the power of the legislative branch to make laws, two of the three powers conferred by our Constitution would be in the same hands. If human nature and history teach anything, it is that civil liberties face grave risks when governments proclaim indefinite states of emergency.”

Yes, yes! This is why the Biden administration thinks this is unconstitutional. This is exactly why we have a House, a Senate, a President and a Supreme Court. So one person doesn’t control everything. That’s how tyranny grows.

“During a pandemic such as this one, it is even more important to safeguard the separation of powers set forth in our Constitution to avoid erosion of our liberties. Because the Plaintiff States have satisfied all four elements required for a preliminary injunction to issue, this Court has determined that a preliminary injunction should issue against the Government Defendants. This matter will ultimately be decided by a higher court than this one. However, it is important to preserve the status quo in this case. The liberty interests of the unvaccinated requires nothing less.

This is why the Left are making the unvaccinated evil. Because the Left cannot win through Congress or the courts. No one buys their crap. They have to fight this through the court public opinion.

Listen, I love the vaccine. I took them both and I was glad to have them. I will not take the booster next month because I had a rather uncomfortable reaction and I want to see more. I’m not saying I won’t take it. But there are two reason I am not interested in getting a booster at this time:

  • There are no studies on B or T-cell immunity for the vaccines. It is possible I am safe from dying from COVID because my body knows how to fight it because of the vaccines.
  • I am still moderately young and healthy. I would rather catch the damn thing, suffer for a couple of days and have natural immunity before I get older and then compromised. This disease isn’t going away. It’s endemic and will always be here.
  • I think there is a high chance I’ve already had it. Maybe if we did more antibody testing instead of nose swabs, we’d know where we really stand in this country.
  • I don’t want to take boosters for the rest of my life.

“Therefore, the scope of this injunction will be nationwide, except for the states of Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, since these ten states are already under a preliminary injunction order dated November 29, 2021, out of the Eastern District of Missouri. This preliminary injunction shall remain in effect pending the final resolution of this case, or until further orders from this Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, or the United States Supreme Court.”

Biden has been skunked on his vaccine mandates:

  • His mandate for private industry has been blocked.
  • His mandate for the healthcare industry has been blocked.
  • His mandate for the military has been fought against and pretty much blocked, especially by the Marines and Navy.
  • The unions refuse to take the vaccine.

Well, he’s decided to go in a different direction. On Thursday he’s going to announce new restrictions for those entering and leaving the United States, including for American citizens.

  • A person entering the country must have a negative test one day before entering the country. If positive, no entry.
  • A person must quarantine for seven days after entering the country even with a negative test.
  • Anyone violating the order is subject to fines.

This is beginning to sound more like Australia than the United States.

Opinion

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court will weigh in on Mississippi’s controversial anti-abortion law that bans abortion past 15 weeks. This decision could overturn Roe versus Wade making abortion an issue of the state. Of course, because the Left treats abortion as a religious ritual, the news media is throwing all their attention to it.

Here is an opinion article from the Washington Post. It is called If the Supreme Court throws out ‘Roe v. Wade,’ it will tear the country apart by Eugene Robinson. I found it interesting because I thought it was the most honest and it brought up the fact that there is 50% of the population that thinks abortion is wrong. It doesn’t demonize anti-abortionists unlike the other articles I read.

Roe v. Wade is an important piece of the duct tape that holds this fractious nation together, and it would be a grievous error for the antiabortion majority on the Supreme Court to rip it away.

But that is precisely what the court, with its 6-3 conservative majority, looks poised to do. Wednesday’s oral arguments over Mississippi’s law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy will not really be about “textualist” or “originalist” legal principles. They will be about whether the Constitution protects a woman’s freedom over her own body — a liberty recognized when Roe was decided on Jan. 22, 1973.

Some things:

  • How is Roe v. Wade duct tape? I think it is one of the worst decisions in U.S. history. It’s up there with Jim Crow and slavery. It’s extremely polarizing.
  • First off, let’s ease up on the 6-3 Conservative court.
    • John Roberts is hardly made any Conservative decisions.
    • Neil M. Gorsuch has made some iffy decisions.
    • Kavanaugh and Barrett seem to not like going against precedence.
    • I am just not sure how Conservative this court is.
  • This has everything to do with “textualist” principles. The term abortion is not used once in the Constitution.
  • Roe v. Wade is a terrible precedence because it just came up with some crap about privacy. That’s why the Left has been worried about it being overturned since the eighties.

I remember that day well, because it was also the day when former president Lyndon B. Johnson died. I was one of the editors of the Michigan Daily, the student newspaper at the University of Michigan, and we had a passionate argument that went late into the evening over which should be our lead story. Should it be legalized abortion across the nation? Or the man who sent tens of thousands of young Americans to die in the Vietnam War?

Most of the female editors saw the historic importance of Roe and understood the impact it would have on women’s lives. Most of the male editors — myself included, I confess — could not see past Vietnam and pushed hard for LBJ. We won, sort of: The paper ended up stripping Johnson’s death across the top of the front page and putting the Roe decision right beneath it, still above the fold, with a boldface two-line headline. For history’s sake, I thought that was the right call.

I was spectacularly wrong. Johnson was indeed a towering figure, but he’d been long out of office and had to die at some point anyway. Roe was like a bolt from the blue, and with it the nation took a giant stride toward treating women as full and equal citizens under the law. The decision’s impact continues to this day — but perhaps not for many days longer.

Some things:

  • This paragraph points out the disparities between men and women. Sexism anyone?
  • The point here is he is right. The Vietnam war led to the deaths of 65,000 Americans. Abortion has killed over 60 million American babies since Roe v. Wade. So he’s right, abortion was the bigger story.

There are those who claim that Roe is divisive, that the ruling set the stage for years of bitter conflict by recognizing a constitutional right to abortion that cannot be unduly infringed by the states. But I believe that analysis is wrong. What’s truly divisive is abortion itself — an issue on which, for many Americans, there simply is no middle ground.

Some people believe that all abortion is murder and that every pregnancy should be brought to full term. I do not share this view. But for those who do, how could there ever be compromise? What does it matter whether an abortion takes place in the first, second or third trimester, or whether it takes place before or after the point at which the fetus would be viable outside the womb? What is the difference between taking a Plan B pill and having a surgical abortion after 15 weeks? If both are “murders,” how can one be acceptable and one not?

Some things:

  • Abortion is not a Constitutional right if one is a textualist which is what I am. It has been artificially made into a Constitutional right through a very week precedence.
  • There’s another Constitutional right that the Left always forgets: Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
  • Because it’s not a Constitutional right, it is up to the states. He’s just wrong here.
  • Because he doesn’t see abortion is murder, our debate is done.
    • It’s been scientifically proven since the 80s though test tube babies, invitro fertilization, DNA testing and being able to map the stages of growth through sonograms.
    • Saying it is not killing a baby is denying science.
  • Taking the abortion pill is killing the baby. Weak sauce argument here.
  • Here are a couple of questions I have:
    • Why not be able to kill a baby after it’s born? It still has a dependence on the mother.

Like most Americans, I do not believe that all abortion is murder. It doesn’t matter whether I think a line should be drawn at viability or how I believe the health and well-being of the pregnant person should be factored in. What matters is that my view, whatever its nuances, can never be acceptable to those who take an absolutist position against abortion.

Viability is not relevant here. A baby is not viable months after it’s born. It’s if the zygote or fetus is a separate human being is the question.

The pregnant person has an option to get pregnant or not. Here’s a news flash: We know how people get pregnant. There’s no mystery in it anymore. This what the Left does. The strip personal responsibility from people. If you strip personal responsibility from people, then there are no consequences for bad decisions.

This is why I see Roe as unifying rather than divisive: It makes a yes-no decision. It sets a baseline that some of us cannot abide but that most of us applaud or can live with. It says that, yes, the Constitution, in its words and its penumbra, does protect a woman’s fundamental right to terminate her pregnancy.

Unifying for who? Unifying for Leftists. I think abortion is murder. I think women who have multiple abortions, and I know and few and so do you, are disgusting, selfish and immoral.

Then he contradicts himself is the next line that “some of us cannot abide” by it says that it is not unifying! By the way, it’s not :some of us”. It’s like 50% of the country thinks abortion is wrong.

Like all of our constitutionally protected freedoms, the right to choose can be restricted, but not taken away. That has been the status quo for nearly five decades, and the nation has muddled through. But if Roe is reversed — if the court rules, as its most conservative justices have argued, that no protected right to reproductive choice exists — then the political cold war over abortion will flare immediately into a roaring blaze.

Reproductive choice always exists. You have the choice to use condoms. You have the choice to use birth control pills. You have the choice not to have sex. That choice is gone when you get pregnant. The horse is out of the barn at that point.

If states such as Texas pass laws that effectively eliminate all abortions, those with the means will travel to other states to terminate their pregnancies. Many poor people will risk their health by seeking illegal abortions. Some doctors will most likely risk imprisonment. There will be intense pressure for pro-choice federal legislation, and abortion will be a hot-button issue in every congressional district.

As if our politics needed more heat.

Roe will never please everyone, but it has served the country well. I fear this Supreme Court is foolish enough to throw it away.

Some things:

  • I liked this article because it wasn’t vicious. He didn’t demonize anti-abortionists. He just thought they are misguided.
  • The problem is if he got into a debate with an anti-abortionist, he would get killed. The facts just aren’t on his side. The example would be he doesn’t believe abortion is murder.
  • He tries to argue that Roe v. Wade is unifying. But this is not his real argument. His real argument is that abortion has been around for 45 years and we should just live with it.
  • Not only should we live with it, but we should just ignore anti-abortionists, though he never explains why. He doesn’t think its murder so that enough. He spent half the article saying that but doesn’t say what he doesn’t think it’s murder.
  • I, on the other hand, can write an article as to why it is murder.

  • Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter, will be stepping down as CEO.
    • It is unclear whether he is stepping down or being forced out. The latter is more likely.
    • Parag Agrawal, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, would be starting as CEO immediately, and that Dorsey would continue to serve on the Twitter board through to the end of his term this coming spring to “help Parag and Bret with the transition.”
    • Expect things to change? I do. I expect things to get worse.
      • Agrawal has said that free speech should not be something Twitter should concentrate on.
      • Just today, they have announced some changes on that people can do on Twitter for privacy concerns.
  • Actor Matthew McConaughey announced on Sunday that he will not run to be the next governor of Texas, a decision that came despite a push from left-wing media for the actor to challenge Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
    • That’s good because he would’ve gotten his ass kicked.
    • He is a Leftist. He wants to ban the Second Amendment.

The New Plan

They have 10 months and the Democrats are going to do anything to get Republicans off of committees. Their sights are now on Lauren Boebert.

Just a little reminder: during the Paul Gosar censure a week ago, Lauren went off. It was an outstanding showing and raised her visibility. Hell, I never heard of her before that speech.

Well, she had a rally at, what looked like, a western bar and she made a joke. Here it is:

Couple of things:

  • She looks great in black jeans.
  • She has a great body and is very sexy for a representative in Congress.
  • No woman should ever wear high heels with jeans.
  • And the joke was funny.

Omar got upset about something that’s true and started throwing a fit. Then, Boebert made a big mistake. She apologized. Why, in God’s name, did she do that? This never works. It admits guilt over something that is not a mistake or a crime. It was a joke.

Ilhan Omar, on the other hand, has done some very bad things:

  • She dismissed the 9/11 terrorist attack saying “some people did some things”.
  • She wrote a letter saying that several men trying to join ISIS should not be prosecuted because they’re poor.
  • She dismissed the danger of Al Qaeda in an interview because she took a terrorism class in college.
  • She’s a rabid anti-Semite.
  • She married her brother to commit get him into the country.
  • Then she married her second husband without getting a divorce. This led to tax issues.
  • She had an affair with a campaign staffer and lied about it.
  • She then got a divorce and married the staffer.
  • Now, theoretically, she’s being investigated for giving a couple of million dollars in campaign funds to her current husband’s company.

There’s enough to joke about her. She has enough sympathies for terrorists to make that joke funny because it’s true.

Anyway, Boebert calls Ilhan Omar to personally apologize and Omar demands a public apology. Of course she does. She and the other Democrats her to admit guilt in public so they can censure her just like they did Paul Gosar over that stupid video. She refused to do it and Omar hung up on her.

Later, Omar tweeted her thoughts because that’s what you do today:

 

I’m sorry. It was a joke. It was funny.

They’re going to try to censure her and they’re going to succeed. They’re going to pull her off all her committees. The Dems want to strip Republicans of all power. You know it because she will be the third Republican removed from committees this year.

I hope Kevin McCarthy has balls. I hope he does the same thing next year. I hope he gets rid of Maxine Waters, Eric Swallwell, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes, Rashida Tlaib, Cory Bush, Ayanna Pressley and, of course, Ilhan Omar.

He’s going to gain 40 to 50 seats next year. He’s going to be able to do it.

Changing History

This is an amazing story because it is so obvious that the Left is trying to change history.

According to The Telegraph:

Wikipedia entry detailing “mass killings under Communist regimes” faces being purged from the platform over fears about bias.

The page outlining the deaths of millions in one-party states including the Soviet Union and China has been flagged for deletion, with some users responsible for maintaining the site taking issue with blaming mass murder on Communist ideology.

The dedicated entry listing the actions of figures like Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, and Kim Jong Il has been accused of putting forward a biased “anti-Communist” point of view, and site administrators will decide whether it should be removed.

The future of a page titled “Anti-communist mass killings” is not in doubt, however, as the entry outlining occasions on which Communists have been killed under other political systems has not been flagged over concerns about neutrality.

It’s funny that they won’t remove non-communist countries that had genocide like Nazi Germany. I think that’s funny because Nazi Germany was pretty much the same government and economy as countries like the Soviet Union and China. The Nazis were socialists. It’s in the name (National Socialist German Workers’ Party).

Let’s understand something about Wikipedia: it is not considered a encyclopedic site. The information is added by users and many of it isn’t confirmed. It is not considered a reliable source by colleges. But, like the tearing down of statues, this is their attempt to change history to, not only making communism more palatable, but also excuse the sins of communism today. An example of that are the atrocities being committed in China, North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba.

The Simpsons

According to the Hollywood reporter:

Disney+ users in Hong Kong have noticed an episode of The Simpsons is conspicuously missing.

The 16th season of the iconic Fox animated show jumps from episode 11 to 13 when viewers in the city browse the flagship Disney streaming service. The missing episode 12, first broadcast in 2005, happens to be the one where Homer takes his family to China, where they visit Tiananmen Square and come across a placard that reads: “On this site, in 1989, nothing happened.”

It appears the episode has suffered precisely the kind of censorship it was written to ridicule.

Bowing to China is not only disgusting but it shows how China’s totalitarianism is affecting our culture. They have a say, through these companies, on what we see.

Don’t They Have More Important Things To Do

The Camden School District in New Jersey has a Change.org petition to rename the Woodrow Wilson High School because Woodrow Wilson was a racist.

According to the petition:

After years of examining the legacy of former US President Woodrow Wilson, WE have come to see that his views and actions contradict the values and diversity We see in Woodrow Wilson High School today as well as the society WE live in Camden NJ.  

 These values We hold today are to be respected at the highest standard in regards to fair treatment of All individuals, and our aspirations to continue to be an educating, diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community in the City of Camden NJ it is only right in Our Eyes to right the wrongs that have plagued Us in Our oppressed society.

Then the petition goes through some evidence that Woodrow Wilson was a racist. It concludes:

… this conflicts with the values and aspirations of our times today as We see it but WE encourage each Of The elected Members named here in this Petition to embrace the coeducational, multi-racial, multi-ethnic, diverse and inclusive composition and ideals of our community today and they can do so by removing Woodrow Wilsons Name.

Woodrow Wilson was a racist. He was also a eugenicist. He as a terrible person. He was also a crappy President. I wouldn’t name a school after him. But he was also a professor, president of Princeton University, a governor of New Jersey and a two term President of the United States. He was a success and part of our history. Should he be banned?

I don’t like him. I understand why they want to change the name. I just find it ironic that the people who want to change the name have all the same beliefs that Woodrow Wilson had.

Episode 454 – Dude, Toughen Up!

Here we go again. A new variant. I guess it’s time for us to run around like chickens with our heads cut off.

I’m telling you, this is never going to end. A new variant of COVID-19 has been discovered.

 

The Variant

A new variant of the China virus has been found in South Africa earlier this month. I have looked up this variant and here is some of the information I got from the World Health Organization (China for short):

  • The TAG-VE was convened on 26 November 2021 to assess the SARS-CoV-2 variant: B.1.1.529.
  • It was first reported to WHO from South Africa on 24 November 2021.
  • Preliminary evidence suggests an increased risk of reinfection with this variant, as compared to other VOCs.
  • Current SARS-CoV-2 PCR diagnostics continue to detect this variant.
  • As such, countries are asked to do the following:
    • enhance surveillance and sequencing efforts to better understand circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants.
    • submit complete genome sequences and associated metadata to a publicly available database, such as GISAID.
    • report initial cases/clusters associated with VOC infection to WHO through the IHR mechanism.
    • where capacity exists and in coordination with the international community, perform field investigations and laboratory assessments to improve understanding of the potential impacts of the VOC on COVID-19 epidemiology, severity, effectiveness of public health and social measures, diagnostic methods, immune responses, antibody neutralization, or other relevant characteristics.
  • Individuals are reminded to take measures to reduce their risk of COVID-19, including proven public health and social measures such as wearing well-fitting masks, hand hygiene, physical distancing, improving ventilation of indoor spaces, avoiding crowded spaces, and getting vaccinated.
  • They included to references to follow. Both references are for following the rules of the previous variants.

What do we know about this variant. Nothing. The WHO has nothing new about it except, like Delta, you can catch it if you’re vaccinated or have been infected with an earlier variant. They do not even know how dangerous it is or how infectious it is.

But She Knows

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, a board member of the South African Medical Association, first noticed otherwise healthy patients demonstrating unusual symptoms on Nov. 18. She saw that it was the China virus but it did not behave in the same way as the previous variants so she alerted the WHO.

But she does have some interesting tidbits of information.

 

In other words, people have a mild case of the flu. By the way, as the virus matures, it is going to become less deadly. The virus is designed that way. It’s designed to spread, not kill. It wants people to survive so it can spread to other organisms. Just about all viruses do this.

She continues with a warning (which is what doctors are suppose to do):

“What we have to worry about now is that when older, unvaccinated people are infected with the new variant, and if they are not vaccinated, we are going to see many people with a severe [form of the] disease.”

Well, duh! We know that people who are not vaccinated may experience harsher symptoms. The hospitals are not being overrun. There isn’t a huge uptick in cases.

Here’s what I think is happening and it’s going to happen for the rest of time. This virus is going to mutate, just like the flu. All the previous variants are going to run through the population or people are going to get the vaccines (which we still aren’t sure of). Each new variant is going to become weaker and the population is going to become less susceptible to the disease.

In two years, it’s going to be another version of the flu. End of story.

Oh, yeah, and get vaccinated against a variant we know nothing about. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

There are a few problems here. First, it’s not a great concern in South Africa, where it was found. That news is from South African doctors! 

Second, it’s not spreading rapidly. Hospitals in South Africa are not being impacted. That’s according to South African doctors!

Third, the WHO doesn’t know anything about the variant. Shouldn’t we learn something about it before we make alarmist statements?

Finally, Dr. Fauci has been wrong and been lying about everything! Why is Biden listening to him!

Biden implemented a travel ban from the African countries of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi. Something that got a lot of attention on social media since Biden and Kamala called Trump a racist for implementing a travel ban. What’s worse, they called Trump a racist on social media so everyone knows they did it! What a pair of tools.

But there’s more.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed an Executive Order declaring a “Disaster Emergency in the State of New York” in anticipation of winter COVID-19 case increases. She’s preparing to shut the state down again and gain more control. She declared that elective surgeries are to be cancelled.

Didn’t they do that before and it fixed nothing except kill people because they saw a heart stint as being an elective surgery? I have to tell you, she’s worse than Andrew Cuomo. Wait till Gavin Newsom of California finds out. Can’t wait to hear what he’s going to do.

Israel is shutting its borders again even though 90% of the population is vaccinated. I thought the vaccines worked.

And This Is Just Funny

According to Fox News:

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed it skipped the Greek letters “nu” and “xi” in naming its new COVID-19 variant, which it dubbed the “omicron” variant.

“‘Nu’ is too easily confounded with ‘new,’ and ‘xi’ was not used because it is a common last name, and WHO best practices for naming disease suggest avoiding ‘causing offence to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional or ethnic groups,’” a WHO spokesperson told Fox News in a statement on Saturday.

That’s right, they skipped two Greek letters because they were too close to the name of the dictator of China and they openly admit it. See, being politically correct does have its problems for Leftist organizations.

By the way, “nu” is problematic because it’s original pronunciation is “nee” (which means “new”) and is too close to “xi” which is the dictator’s name.

Man the F-Up

Apparently it might be time to stop wearing my favorite clothing.

After Kyle Rittenhouse was found innocent last week, Levi’s Strauss, the makers of Levi’s jeans, had to hire a trauma specialists because they thought that some of their employees might start to suffer PTSD from the thought that a convicted child-raping pedophile was killed in mid-attack.

Levi Strauss chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer Elizabeth Morrison said in a letter to staff:

“With the news that Kyle Rittenhouse was not convicted in the shooting of three individuals — two of whom lost their lives — during racial justice protests last year, this is a difficult day for many.

“To help promote safety, sharing and to encourage healing, I’ll be hosting a fireside chat and Q&A with Dr. Jamila Codrington, a licensed psychologist and racial trauma specialist in early December. Dr. J and I will talk about the mental and psychical impacts of back-to-back social and racial justice events and trauma coping mechanisms during our discussion.”

Now I know Levi Strauss is a Leftist organization (they are located in San Francisco) but I think it is rich that they think they have such pansy employees when the product they sell is touted as cowboy rugged. You know? Flying off horses and bulls and crap and the jeans can handle it. Heck, Levi’s has always been an American icon for masculinity. You’re not even suppose to wash the damn things. Throw them in the freezer for an hour of so and they’re clean (that is recommended). I can’t think of anything more masculine than that.

But this isn’t the only place that’s doing that. You know the colleges were going to have a negative response to the verdict. I mean, people are banning a story about a white boy helping a black slave escape because they were naked on a raft in one scene and they said words.

California State University, Long Beach gave students and faculty the chance to attend a “debriefing” of Rittenhouse’s acquittal, which would be attended by staff from the Counseling and Psychological Services office.

University spokesman Jim Milbury told The College Fix in an email:

“When there are higher-profile events and issues in the public discourse, it is not uncommon for our university to provide spaces for our campus community to discuss those topics.”

God, we need a bloody war with a common enemy to toughen our kids up.

On the brighter side of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, The View’s Joy Behar and Whoopie Goldberg are getting sued for $60 million by Rittenhouse for defamation. That was quick. That kid is going to be so rich.

By the way, Rittenhouse is taking online classes at Arizona State University and not the students want him kicked out. He’s taking online classes!

Sorry, Not Surprised

Remember the multitude of times I said the Left doesn’t care about the Constitution and will just ignore it when it’s convenient? Well, they aso feel they don’t have to go through the amendment process to implement an amendment.

Remember the Equal Rights Amendment that was being pushed way back in the 1960s and 70s? It never became an amendment, though it was close, and the time expired in making it an amendment, not to mention five states de-ratified it after they found out what was in the amendment.

Here’s the story in case you’re not as old as I am (though I was too young to understand it at the time):

  • At issue is the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), a benign-sounding Nixon-era amendment that concealed an unpopular feminist agenda. Critics say it would erode the legal protections of women and create a constitutional right to abortion just as Supreme Court justices seem poised to amend, or overturn, Roe v. Wade.
  • The Equal Rights Amendment seemed destined to become the 27th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1972.
  • Article V of the Constitution requires amendments to pass Congress by a two-thirds margin, then be ratified by three-fourths of the states (38 states out of 50)
  • The ERA — which was championed by democratic socialists Rep. Bella Abzug (D-NY), Gloria Steinem, and Betty Friedan — passed the U.S. House of Representatives by the required margin in October 1971 and cleared the Senate five months later.
  • But the legislation they passed contained a time limit: The ERA had to be ratified within seven years.
  • That hurdle seemed insignificant, as a total of 30 states ratified the ERA within a year — 14 of them within the first month. Five more states followed by 1978, when the Democrat-controlled Congress voted to extend the deadline to June 30, 1982.
  • Enter Phyllis Schlafly, a well-educated mother from Illinois. She found:
    • women’s exemption from being drafted into military service;
    • separate facilities for showers, restrooms, college dorm rooms, battered women’s shelters, and prisons;
    • federal programs like Title IX, Social Security benefits for women who worked in the home, and Women Infants and Children (WIC)
  • The Senate began to read the amendment and began to, in a bipartisan fashion, to strip the bill of some of its major language.
  • After the United States had an opportunity to digest these arguments, momentum stopped, then reversed. Although the Democrats extended the ERA’s ratification deadline, no additional states signed on, and five states rescinded their previous ratification votes: Nebraska (1973), Tennessee (1974), Idaho (1977), Kentucky (1978), and South Dakota (1979).

Enter the Left.

How extreme is this amendment? Ben Johnson of the Daily Wire wrote:

Although you have likely not heard much about it from the media, the Democrats recently unveiled a plan to illegally add an element of their radical, intersectional agenda to the text of the U.S. Constitution. The controversial amendment could eliminate all laws that recognize biological differences between men and women, and it could force taxpayers to fund abortion-on-demand. Worse yet, their actions come decades after the Left tried and failed to convince Americans to adopt the proposed amendment democratically.

Right now, the House is holding hearings to make this bill an amendment even though it didn’t pass 40 years ago.

Though the amendment is dead, blues states ratified it anyway. Those states were Nevada in 2017, followed by Illinois in 2018, and Virginia in 2020. According to the Left, that means the amendment has been ratified and it is part of the Constitution. Nevermind the fact that five states went against the ratification later, that doesn’t matter.

The DOJ under the Trump administration said that the bill could not be ratified because it expired. The Left argues that the expiration is procedural and not written into the ERA itself so that doesn’t count. They also say that states do not have the right to decertify because it’s not in the bill. Therefore, the fives states that pulled out don’t count.

Guess it’s kind of important to read and understand bills before voting for them. That’s something out politicians haven’t learned yet.

The Left tried to sue and make a judge declare the amendment part of the Constitution. In March, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras, an Obama appointee, ruled that a “ratification deadline in a proposing resolution’s introduction is just as effective as one in the text of a proposed amendment,” so the deadline to adopt the ERA “expired long ago.”

Even the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg seemed to reject the Left’s arguments. She asked in 2020:

“How can you disregard states that said ‘we’ve changed our minds’? I would like to see a new beginning” for the ERA’s ratification, starting from scratch, she said.

But the Left don’t need to follow them stinking rules:

  • First, in March, the House passed a resolution from retiring Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) retroactively repeating the ERA’s 1982 ratification deadline, 222-204.
  • Then on October 21, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform held a hearing where they said the ERA is part of the Constitution.
  • All this stuff, by the way, is unconstitutional.

Then, the Left decided to bring in the big guns. Enter Alyssa Milano, the has-been, Who’s the Boss star. She testified in front of Congress:

The states have directed Congress to amend the Constitution, and it is now the duty of Congress and the Administration [sic] to get out of the way and remove the arbitrary, unnecessary, and shameful deadline that was cynically imposed nearly a half century ago as a poison pill. … The lack of Constitutional [sic] protections for anyone who is not a cisgender man is a blemish on the very idea of Americanism. … The Framers failed us when they did not include women in the Constitution. Congress failed us when it added the deadline for ratification of the ERA. You, the members of this committee, have the opportunity and the obligation to fix the constitution [sic] and stop it from failing us.

That worked! How can we reject the wisdom of a has-been actress?

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) said, “I contend based on this testimony, that the ERA is now an amendment to the Constitution duly ratified by the 38th state, the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Well, if Gerry and Alyssa say so it must be so.

This is going nowhere but it does show something. It shows the disdain the Left has for the Constitution and the rule of law. This is why when they talk of the Constitution and democracy, I cringe. I reject the way they view they law and I don’t want their version of democracy. Their version of democracy looks hauntingly like communism.
